  • Walkinshaw Performance Holden VF Commodore and HSV Gen-F [video]

    Walkinshaw Performance has introduced their tuning packages for the Holden VF Commodore and HSV Gen-F. The name of the projects are W457 and W497.

    “The W Series has already seen the naturally aspirated W310 and W375 packages which offer terrific performance and value for money that we have developed thanks to the outstanding base vehicles- the VF SS Commodore and the Gen-F HSV. Today we take another step with the W457 and W497 packages. These packages represent the pinnacle of Australian automotive design and engineering capabilities. On power figures alone it’s impressive, but as we always say; drivability is the number one goal and we believe that these W Series twins are exceedingly well mannered in this key area. That said, it’s hard to hide the performance results and these cars are guaranteed to bring a smile to the face of every motoring enthusiast.”, commented WP General Manager Tony Harris.

    The W457 boosts the VF Commodore’s 6.0 liter V8 engine to 621 HP (457 kW) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft), while the W497 for the HSV Gen-F’s 6.2 liter V8 has 675 HP (497 kW) and 955 Nm (704 lb-ft) of torque.

    The pricing starts from $18,990 AUD.

  • 2014 Holden Commodore VF International Edition

    Holden has announced the Commodore VF International Edition, which is designed to celebrate model’s Commodore’s 35th anniversary. 2014 Holden Commodore VF International Edition is available as a saloon and a sportwagon.

    The exterior features LED DRLs, “dark bezel headlamps” and 18” alloy wheels, while the interior boasts a lot of additional standard equipment including leather upholstery, Blind Spot Alert and Reverse Traffic Alert.

    The engine range includes a 3.0 liter V6 SIDI – 248HP (185 kW) and 290Nm (214 lb-ft) and a 3.6 liter V6 LPG with 241HP (180 kW) and 320Nm (236 lb-ft).

  • Holden VF Commodore – Styling Accessories

    Holden has introduced a new range of styling accessories for the VF Commodore. It will allow customers to personalise their vehicles more than ever before.

    The new range of Genuine Holden Accessories are available in modular kits called “Design Packs” that allow customers to choose from subtle sports decorative highlights through to the ultimate sports performance styling package, and everything in between.

    VF Commodore Design Packs start with the stage one exterior appearance package, which includes colour-matched upper and lower grille surrounds in red or black, black daylight running lamp surrounds (SS V-Series models) and black fender vents.

    Customers can add Holden’s stage two Design Pack including track stripes, alloy sports pedals, sports carpet floor mats, colour-matched mirror caps, sports engine cover with red accents (V8 models only) and black lip spoiler (sedan only). Stage three adds four HF-20 20” forged alloy wheels in Midnight Dark Grey or a machine faced Gunmetal Gloss and 245/35 ZR20 High Performance tyres.

  • Holden VF Commodore SS V

    Holden has announced the VF Commodore SS V, which is expected to make its official debut this weekend. Unveiled as a precursor to the new VF Commodore sport luxury range, the new VF SS V show car applies a serious performance edge to the luxury hero concept Holden previewed in the VF Calais V earlier this week.

    The new VF Commodore will introduce a range of technology firsts for an Australian car, including Reverse Traffic Alert, Head-up Display, Blind Spot Alert, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Auto Park Assist when it arrives in Australian showrooms mid-year.

    The VF Commodore sport luxury range is more refined than any car previously produced by Holden, embodying the same design sophistication, premium appointments and attention to detail as the Calais V luxury sport concept.

    The SS V has a mature, new aerodynamic exterior design, which has been finished in eye-catching custom Fantale orange metallic paint specially created by Holden for the show car. There is also a quad-pipe exhaust, a set of 20” multi-spoke alloys, Brembo brakes and a 6-speed manual gearbox.

    The interior boasts ice-blue ambient lighting, leather sports steering wheel, a new intrstrument panel and built-in Holden MyLink infotainment system coming with an 8” touchscreen display.

    SS V-Series:

    • Custom Kandy ‘Fantale’metallic paint finish
    • Twin five-spoke 20-inch wheels, hand-machined in billet aluminium, custom finished in gloss black
    • Front Brembo brake calipers finished in gloss silver
    • Wide, dominant front fascia features traditional sports grille and a prominent lower air intake, both laced in custom gunmetal chrome
    • Sculpted, jewelled halogen projector headlamps with black bezels curve into prominent front fenders, flared, aero-modified wheel arches

      • All-new instrument panel with integrated centre stack combines high-resolution Holden MyLink infotainment system with 8-inch touch screen, climate and other controls
      • Ergonomically advanced design relocates controls to more convenient positions, introduces console-mounted electric park brake control
      • Cowled, angled instrument dials flank a LCD Driver Information Display screen with colour graphics
      • All-new seat structures combine sports back and high-bolstered side support
