The Hatchback gets company’s characteristic low-slung and wide stance together with a double-sweep beltline and flowing bodylines. There is also a floating roofline and a front grille, which have been connected in shape and design with the wing-shaped headlights.

    Buick Verano GS

Buick Verano GS is way sportier than the hatch and has additional styling elements that highlight these athletic qualities. It will be offered in a wide range of colors and will have optional interior and exterior packages. Precisely, the available equipment adds black waterfall grille, aerodynamic spoilers, bright red strips for the front and rear bumpers, bright red brake calipers and dark-painted five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels.

    Things in Common

Despite the differences between the two versions of the Verano will incorporate GM’s new Ecotec small engines. They will deliver powerful performance but at the same time exceptional fuel economy. The Hatchback will be driven by a 1.5L SIDI naturally aspirated engine. The unit will be connected to a six-speed intelligent manual transmission or six-speed DSS intelligent automatic transmission.

Verano GS has a 1.5T SIDI turbocharged engine mated with a seven-speed DCG intelligent transmission. The power output of the unit is rated at 170 hp (124 kW) at 5,600 rpm, but still manages to deliver combined fuel consumption of only 5.9 L/100 km.

  • Buick Demonstrates More Efficient Way of Painting Vehicles

It is a good thing to hear, that residential and commercial paint manufactures are developing technologies, that will bring lesser impact on nature in their future work. It is incredible, how just the paint job of vehicles uses over seventy percent of the overall energy, used to bring a car together. To be precise, 2.5 megawatt hours are needed to paint a car. This is the electrical bill for a nine weeks, if this amount of energy was used by a typical US home.

But there are some good news. Since 2011, Orion Assembly, the Buick Verano home, have pioneered in the use of a special water-based “three-wet” paint technology. The process eliminates the need of a blake oven, which is usually used in the process of painting a vehicle. The result is a three-layer paint – primer, color and clear coat – that is applied to one over another before the previous layer is still wet. Using this way, Orion Assembly now uses only one megawatt hour of energy to paint a car.

Buick is a worldwide modern and luxury brand, that offers vehicles with unseen design, incredible interiors and high-tech gadgets, that are delivered with a high-quality yet efficient performance. Buick attracts customers with its luxury model lineup in North America and China.

  • Buick Verano Finally Revealed in Shanghai

Buick Verano Front and Side ViewBuick Verano is an American car debuting in China. As strange as it sounds, the 2017 model year Verano has just been revealed during the Shanghai Auto Show, showing its sports sedan exterior that is said to be inspired by Riviera and Avenir concept cars. The model also delivers great fuel efficiency and sporting handling.

As you can see from the single image we received, the Verano has the typical for Buick waterfall grille. It is accompanied by Avenir’s wing-shaped HID xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights. The same wing shape can be seen in the LED taillights, too.

The windshield gives the body of the car a longer look, because it is positioned between the fastback roof and streamlined C-pillar curves. The double-sweep is also there, being typical for all Buick sedans. The beautiful silhouette of the Verano is supported by 17-inch 10-spoke alloys mated to Continental MC5 225/45 R17 sports tires.

Under the hood of the Verano is the 1.5T SIDI turbocharged Ecotec engine, which is coupled with seven-speed DCG transmission with smooth gear shifting. The output of the unit is rated at 169 hp (124 kW) at 5,600 rpm, while the peak torque – at 250 Nm (185 lb-ft) at 1,700-4,400 rpm. Despite the impressive power, the car is still capable of returning 6.1L per 100 km combined fuel consumption.

This is the third Buick entry on the Chinese market that comes to satisfy customer’s demands. The first two were Excelle GT, launched earlier this year, and the family car Excelle. With this step, it is expected that Buick will strengthen its positions in China.

Buick Verano Teaser The next generation Buick Verano is (sadly) to be showcased for the first time at the Auto Shanghai 2015 this Sunday. The sports sedan is going to be called not Verano but “Wei Lang” in Chinese. The model is at the core of Buick’s strategy of expanding to the east, thus they have equipped it with various features that enhance not only the design of the car, but also it’s driving capabilities.

As a matter of fact, the future Verano is an example of company’s insight into the aesthetic choices of Chinese customers. Therefore, it will stay typical Buick in terms of design, but it will also be innovatively reimagined. It is expected to how new standards in terms of safety and comfort.
