It will be powered by specially-developed 1.0-litre ECOTEC powertrain and will offer comfortable and practical with room for up to five people. Seamless smartphone integration is secured via the addition of IntelliLink connectivity. The five-door entry-level model will join ADAM and Corsa in the small-car range.

The vehicle is named after the original Viva which was in production from 1963 to 1979. It also shares the same clean lines, durability and practicality, and is designed for modern, everyday life. With its length of 3.68 metres it provides more than enough room for up to five people.

Three strong feature lines swoop down the sides with the signature ‘blade’, slicing through the doors. The two others run through the front and rear door handles. The front end of the model includes distinctive winged chrome bar and the Griffin badge.

The front and rear have one thing in common and this is the large head- and taillights. In addition, VIVA will be available in ten exterior paint colours with a variety of 14- to 16-inch wheels.

  • Opel Introduces Karl

Opel Karl is the next addition to the family of the new generation Corsa and the stylish, three-door ADAM. The small car will be offered from the summer of next year. As a matter of fact, we have seen the debut of the five-door Karl a few days ago, but standing under different name – Vauxhall Viva. Opel has chosen to dub the vehicle “Karl”, because this is a short, snappy and catchy name that represents brand values: German, emotional and approachable. With the introduction of this model, Opel aims to fulfil all kinds of requirements.

Karl, ADAM and the latest Corsa will all be launched in less than 30 months as of next year. This means that the company will have the strongest portfolio in the mini and small cars segments in its history, and one of the youngest on the market place.

But to go into details, the Corsa is about 4.00 meters in length, which offers great comfort and great balance between exterior size and interior space. It is in five- and three-door versions. The ADAM on the other hand is just 3.70 meters long, has three doors, and is Opel’s individualization champion. This model offers dynamic driving, excellent connectivity and the widest personalization choice to those who want their car to express their lifestyle.

The Karl is even smaller than the ADMA in length! It comes in a compact package of 3.68 meters, but keeps its five door body. Inside, there are up to five seats. In addition, the car offers the best of Opel virtues in a smart and highly practical manner.

Another interesting fact is that the name Karl’s pays homage to one of Adam Opel’s sons. He was the person who had founded the company in 1862. Adam made Opel one of the largest bicycle manufacturers in the world. His sons Carl, Wilhelm and Friedrich entered the automobile business in 1898 and built their first car one year later.

  • Vauxhall to Introduce New Model Called Viva Next Summer

Vauxhall-Viva-THUMBVauxhall Viva is a future five-door entry-level model, which the company is set to introduce to us the summer next year. The vehicle will be part of Vauxhall’s small car range and this means that it will be accompanying the popular and fashionable A-sector icons: the ADAM and the Corsa supermini. In addition, the company is also promising to offer Viva at extremely attractive price tag.

What Vauxhall has revealed so far is that the future Viva will have a five-door body style and will accommodate up to five or four occupants, meaning that it will come with either four or five seats. The car will hold great appeal in this rapidly growing sector, thanks to its great specifications and range of trims and equipment levels.

Vauxhall is also hoping that the bold and radical name “Viva” of the car will attract attention and engender curiosity. Precisely, Viva is an acclamation or salutation that comes from Latin. It still has ameaning in neo-Latin languages such as Spanish, Portuguese and Italian, and means “Long live… !” or more literally “Live!”.

Furthermore, the name of the five-door model also pays tribute to Vauxhall’s original Viva, which was produced between the years 1963 and 1979 in over 1.5 million examples. The car will feature a design adequate for the contemporary everyday life and will share the original’s clean lines, durability and practicality.

Unlike Vauxhall, Opel will introduce the car in different name, which will be announced tomorrow, and we are also hoping to get more details.
