For over 45 years, VÄTH Automobiltechnik GmbH in Hösbach, Germany, has been known far beyond its borders as a specialist for innovative and exquisite refinement of the Mercedes-Benz and AMG brands. By applying the latest technologies, coupled with many years of experience, VÄTH has not only established a highly respected reputation, but also a sworn clientele.

VÄTH has now taken on the Mercedes-Benz E63s AMG 4-matic and established a particularly special performance package for the noble vehicle – which already has an impressive 612 hp in the basic version. By means of VÄTH turbochargers, large intercooler and reworking of the intake system, as well as the exhaust system from the downpipes to the muffler system, VÄTH achieved a substantial increase in power to 879 hp for the E63s – electronically limited to 1,100 Nm.

With this extensive update, VÄTH not only achieved a fabulous increase in power, but also an impressive sound experience – candy for the eyes and ears, so to speak!

It should not go unmentioned that a transmission oil cooler has also been installed. This catapults the luxury sedan from 0-100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds and delivers a top speed of 345 km/h (locked).

The standard 20 inch rims have been replaced by exclusive VÄTH wheels 3-piece in 21 inch with forged star. Michelin tires all around in 265mm width on the front axle and 295mm on the rear axle provide pleasant comfort.

VÄTH optimized the chassis by means of a minimal lowering of 20mm and special underbody struts ensure additional stiffening of the body. All in all, this achieves not only a rich, but also safe road holding.

The exterior has been subtly and tastefully enhanced by an aesthetic VÄTH front lip and roof edge spoiler.

VATH design and the two sexy AMGs: a tale of elegance and power

2018 VATH Mercedes-AMG C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet VATH team proudly presents its latest tuning project: C-Class AMG Coupe and Cabrio machines that had undergone some exclusive and pretty elaborate tuning program. Both vehicles showcase neat combination of modest elegance and superior engine power and both of them represent what VATH and Mercedes-Benz are good at.

So, let’s begin with the drivetrain system and what it benefited from, shall we? First of all, both vehicles now benefit from massive horsepower increase to the astonishing 700hp (513kW) and 900Nm of torque. This also means that these bad boys now can accelerate to 100km/h in mere 3.3 seconds and chase a top speed of 340km/h. Neat!

Of course, all the power that is untamed is just useless. And perfectly knowing this simple fact, VATH engineers have granted both beauties with tuner’s signature high-performance brake system: the engineering wonder consists 6-piston fixed-caliper brakes with large 390mm brake discs and is further fine-tuned to deliver braking force on the front axle. What VATH team has achieved by delivering the braking ratio in this way is simple: the shortest possible braking distance is fact with both Coupe and Cabrio models.

Furthermore, both vehicles are lowered by with up to 40mm and both are geared with suspension kit that ensure sporty and yet smooth driving experience, thanks to the comprising oil pressure shock absorber and double-spring system.

Of course, in the usual VATH manner, both machines mark the exclusive drivetrain system upgrades with some sexy exterior and interior changes. The thing that immediately catches the eye in both vehicles are the V2-GT alloy wheels. On the other hand, both cabins welcome the driver with VATH exclusive speedometer and neat and cozy floor mats, created of heavy-duty black velour. I love these small details.

VATH and Mercedes-AMG: a rather special combination!

2016 VÄTH Automobiltechnik Mercede-Benz SL 65 AMG VÄTH Automobiltechnik team are known for their incredible signature additions, applied to any lucky vehicle that happened to be in their garage. One such is a Mercedes-Benz model that recently has undergone comprehensive and rather eye-catching transformation and now showcases not only stylish exterior tweaks, but also notable and menacing engine roar.

More precisely, the vehicle is Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG. And the tuning team has geared it with heavily revised 6.0-liter bi-turbo engine that produces a total of 700hp (515kW) and 1000Nm of torque. But this is not all: VÄTH Automobilt mechanics have also included high flow air filter, water/heat exchanger. Sweet.

Furthermore, VÄTH Automobilt team has lowered the ABC sport chassis to a rather feasible point. In fact, they have managed to achieve just the perfect ballance between sportiness and driving comfort. Also, the valve control muffler exhaust system is significantly improved. And all this is topped with exclusive three-piece forged rims with black star with dimensions of 10,0×20 with tires in 265/30 ZR20 on the front and 12,0 x 20 with 305/25 ZR20 on the rear axle.

In fact, there is one particular thing we like about this vehicle. It still showcases its original Mercedes-Benz nature. You can still see the distinctive and brand-exclusive detailing, curves and lines all along with the well-known expression and stance. VATH presents its latest masterpiece: a refined and distinctive Citan unit

2016 VATH Mercedes-Benz Citan VÄTH team, as you might have heard, lives under the motto “VATH Gives Your Car Wings” and, in fact, stays true to its nature. The Mercedes-Benz specialist now proudly demonstrates its latest creation: an upgraded and fine-tuned Mercedes-Benz Citan van. So, let’s waste no more time and check some details!

The urban hero has undergone some profound and meticulous changes that include not only drivetrain system enhancements, but also some cosmetic changes that do make a difference on the road. The lucky Citan now benefits from additional horsepower boost, now measured at 135hp (99kW) and 320 lb-ft of torque. All these numbers mean that the top speed is also a bit higher: exactly 165km/h (91kW). Not bad for a van, right?

Additional changes include a lowering spring kit that reduces the distance between the body and road with a total of 30mm, new braking system with steel flex lines and proven racing brake oil and VÄTH wheels with black inner trim.

What about the exterior?

The Citan benefits from polished stainless steel pipes, stainless steel sheets, matching load sill protector, made of high-polished stainless steel, special front grille bars in chrome, VÄTH license-plate holder and some stylish and distinctive floor mats in deep black velour with silver colored VÄTH logo.

VÄTH improves the performance characteristics of Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG 4MATIC

VATH Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG 4MATIC front view VÄTH has unveiled its latest project based on the Mercedes-AMG C450 4MATIC (W205). The tuning company has developed a special kit called V45, which boosts the power of the model. The result is impressive and it doesn’t’ include only output optimization, but it does also feature some important upgrades that aid the performance of the car. Here are the details.

First and foremost, the kit features individual precision-adjustment of the engine electronics as well as an increase of the top speed and large cooling system. The effect of all this is a total output of 441 HP (324 kW) and 772 Nm (570 ft-lb) of torque. The top speed has grown up to 300 km/h.

This is pretty intriguing especially when it comes to comparing it to the stock figures. Precisely, the original output of the engine is 362 hp (270 kW) and 520 Nm (384 lb-ft) of torque. The top speed was electronically limited to 250 km/h.

Then the next step was to add VÄTH end muffler system with valves made of stainless steel. At each side of the rear, we see one of the two oval tailpipes with flanged edges in 118 x 85 mm size. Furthermore, the lowering thread kit gives the Mercedes sportier stance, lowering it of 20 up 40 mm.

To ensure an adequate braking power, the tuner upgraded the entire brake unit with durable braided steel flex lines and high-performance racing-brake system oil. Moving forward to the wheel-tire-combination, it comprises of rims 19-inch size fitted with 245/35ZR19 tires on the front axle and 275/30ZR19 on the rear axle.

We do expect great performance accomplishments of this one-off Mercedes C450 AMG.

The Stronger the Better: Meet VAETH Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

VAETH Mrcedes-Benz C63 AMG This is VAETH Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. It has more power, better performance, enhanced looks. In other words it is absolutely adorable. With a stock horses up to 511 hp (376 kW), this car was lucky enough to get blessed by the V63S tuning kit that has it all. By all I mean the engine electronics, top speed unlocking and VAETH oil cooling installation.

After the V63S the four liters capacity of the powerful engine can boast up to 609 hp (448 kW) and 810 Nm (598 lb-ft) of torque. The Vmax has been too raised: from 300 to 320 kmph (from 186 to 199 mph). If this isn’t enough, VAETH can optimize your turbochargers and down pipe, releasing from 660 to 680 horsepower.

That amount of additional power requires brake optimization via steel flex tubes, vehicle type approval and Castrol SRF racing brake fluid. There is a lowering performed with the help of lowering springs and coilovers that bring the car 15…40 mm closer to the ground.

To look even tougher onto the ground, the car has been equipped with 20-inch wheels in silver or black, which has been fitted with tires sized 255/30ZR20 at the front and 275/30ZR20 at the rear. Besides speedometer extension to 360 kmph, the car is also fitted with aluminum pedal set and black velour foot mats with silver VAETH logo.

VÄTH Creates More Powerful Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG

VÄTH Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG Side View VÄTH has chosen the Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG for their new project. The experts have basically uprated the engine of the Mercedes and given it some new tweaks regarding aerodynamics and exterior. And everything has been done for the sake of faster speed, more qualitative ride and better driving dynamics. Here are the details:

Engine Uprating

Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG’s 1,991 cm³engine produces 360 HP (265 kW) as a standard. After the tuning it can proudly show-off with 395 HP (290 kW) of power and 485 Nm (358 lb-ft) of torque. The top speed has been raised to 280 kmph (174 mph).

So far so good, but if you are not satisfied with these numbers, then you should also know that the tuning company is offering power uprating kit called V45RS. If you buy it, then your GLA will generate no less than 446 HP (328 kW) of power and 539 Nm (398 lb-ft) of maximum torque.

Exhaust and More

Additional power is delivered by the VA stainless steel down pipe device 270 EVO with 200 cells trimetal cat as well as the VA stainless steel made valve controlled axle back exhaust system. Furthermore, the GLA 45 AMG also received lowering by 30 mm thanks to the addition of sportive lowering springs.

The brakes were optimized with steel flex tubes, SRF racing brake fluid and the obligatory vehicle type. Of course, more the power better the wheels. Precisely, the standard ones were substituted with 20-inch VÄTH black, high gloss alloys.

VÄTH also offers a gearbox oil cooler set for automatic gearboxes, while for the exterior the tuners have prepared carbon made front spoiler lip, rear diffusor and trunk spoiler lip. For the cabin, there is optionally available sports steering wheel in leather design, aluminum pedals, and set of black velvet foot mats with silver colored VÄTH logo.

In other words, this is a very nice project with simple modifications, but very effective.

VÄTH Has a Power Package for Open-Top Mercedes-Benz E500

VÄTH Mercedes-Benz E500 Cabriolet Side View Puls Front View Mercedes-Benz E500 Cabriolet has just received a special treatment by the specialists at VÄTH. The so called power package has been specifically created for the open-top German vehicle. The black E500 Cabrio also got interesting exterior modifications as well as some goodies for its interior.

Is This Really a Power Package?

The answer is definitely “YES”, since this car has been taken out from its stock configuration. The first thing we should praise is the top speed extension, thanks to which the car now reaches and even goes beyond 300km/h.

Thanks to the V50RS tuning-kit that made possible the fine-tuning of engine electronics, the in-house charge-air cooling system and VÄTH’s rear silencer system, the V8 under the hood can now show some envious power. Instead of its stock horses and Newton meters, it now generates more than 550 hp (404 kW) as well as 830 Nm of maximum torque.

Other Goodies

Some might think that the other goodies account for better looks. However, we have to assure you that they also contribute for much better driving experience. After all, VÄTH has just improved the horsepower of the V8!

First, the rear silencer system was made of VA-stainless steel and features flap control system and two oval tailpipes in 115 x 85 mm on both sides. Flanged edge tailpipes, rear diffuser of carbon with fins and larger underbody were also installed.

The Mercedes on the pictures seems a little bit lowered and this is due to the 30 mm lowering carried out by set of springs. The braking system is also different from the stock one: here we have VA 6-piston brake callipers with high-efficiency coating, which bite into potted 390-mm-brake discs and brake fluid Castrol SFR.

Wheels & Tires

The new brake system couldn’t go without new wheels and tires combination. The added rims come in size of 8.5×20-inch and are fitted with tyres in 235/30R20. This counts only for the front. At the rear, the E-class got 10×20-inch alloys with 275/25R20 rubbers.

At last, rounding out this unique tuning are the trunk lip spoiler made of carbon fibre as well many accessories for the interior like the sports steering wheel and aluminium pedals.

More Powerful Mercedes S500 But More Efficient, is it Possible?

The well-known brand, seated above the Hoesbach city limits and near Aschaffenburg, VAETH automobile engine techniques company has taken another challenge, this time with a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, that is indeed an E 500 model. The VAETH team will upgrade the V8 engine, with a special tuning kit, named V50RS. The kit comes with individual engine electronics and fine tune tweaks, VAETH intercooler and VAETH axle back exhaust system. You wonder what the result is? The vehicle is now capable of 830 Nm of torque, that produces 550 hp (404kW) with a maximum speed of 300 km/h (185 mph). Impressive, isn’t it?

The exhaust system, made of stainless steel comes with two oval pipes, each with size of 115×85 mm. Furthermore, the upgrade has and additional option of adding a rear diffuser and sight carbon. The AIRMATIC sports chassis, which is included in the standard pack, helps reducing the time of damping sessions.

Let’s talk about the brakes. In fact, it is a matter of taste if you need the high-performance brake system. The Benz vehicle is geared with 390 mm brake discs on the front axle with a 6-position brake bodies with a heavy-duty brake pads set. Furthermore, the measure range of the wheels is from 8.5 to 11.0×20 inches. And there are optional rims stars in different colors. Sweet.

And for a finish, the vehicle comes with an especially equipped with a trunk spoiler lip of carbon-fiber material.

And of course, even the most unsatisfied customer can find more accessories like carbon-fiber made interior, Alcantara headlining , sporty steering wheel, aluminum pedal and numerous more tweaks and gadgets.

Why this Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 Needs Your Attention?

VATH Mercedes-Benz C-Class V18 has nearly 200HP to Share

VATH is a German tuning company which specializes in Mercedes-Benz transformations, if you wonder about it. Their latest modification involves a C-Class and a V18 tuning kit, which as you can expect endows the car with more power. And if your interest has grown you should definitely read further.

This kit has been applied to C180’s CGI T engine with more than 156 serial horsepower (115 kW). As a result the Mercedes is now capable of 192 hp (141 kW) and 300 Nm of optimum torque at 2,800 rpm. The maximum speed has also shifted to 230 kmph (140 mph).

No gain in power is that good without a new exhaust. Hence, the tuner decided to complement the silversih car with a sports exhaust comprising of down pipe system with 200 trimetal stainless steel cells and a two flood stainless steel axle back exhaust system with two oval end pipes.

The next thing to mention when it comes to additional power is how close the car to the ground is. Correct, there is also a VATH lowering set making the C-class more aggressive, sportier and 30mm closer to the ground.

What is more, for the sportier look also contribute the black multispoke alloys in dimensions 8.5 x 20 inches and 10 x 20 at the front and rear, respectively. Oh, did we forget to mention that there are some external tweaks. Obviously, the tuning company has decided to share its carbon front spoiler and diffuser with fins with this Mercedes. Nothing as impressive, but if you decide to have this kit on your C-Class you’ll definitely end up faster and more individual.

VATH Motorentechnik GmbH: Between Classic and Modern

Throughout the years the close and inseparable relationship between VATH Motorentechnik GmbH (Motor Engineering ltd.) and Mercedes-Benz has served a great purpose to either of the sides.

The founder, Wolfgang VATH, has created a company which is still continuing to progress and play a fundamental part in the market after all these years. By all means, the VATH Motorentechnik GmbH has gained an excellent worldwide reputation as an engine manufacturer. Highlighting the importance of the original production of cars, VATH tunes their “projects” to their best classic characteristics.

Later on, after the establishment of the German tuner, Jasmin EHRET-VATH, the daughter of Wolfgang VATH, takes on the responsibility to run the executive board of the company which is known for car tuning. No matter what the tuner does, it seems to be booming. Not betraying their motto „Everything that can be conserved – must be conserved anyway“, VATH keeps bringing significant up-to-date enhancements to all after-war Mercedes vehicles. Initially, the work that is being implemented by VATH is on the lower part of the engine and on the crankcase. Doing it in a traditional method, cylinders, for instance, are bored and honored. Pistons are renovated, crankshafts ground, polished and balanced in a really efficient way by the company very own balancing machine. Finally, they get equipped by new bearings. Valve seats undergo a transition as well. They are reamed and, if necessary, valve guides are renewed as well. The refitting of engines for unleaded fuel requires a mounting of hardened valve seat rings. The air ducts are reamed and polished which allows more air passage.

VATH Motorentechnik is an expert when dealing with Mercedes classic models.
