BMW Team Celebrates The Launch of Individual 7 Series With a Special Event

2016 BMW Individual 7 Series As we have told you, BMW Group has just revealed the latest and greatest 7 Series vehicle: the Individual 7 Series THE NEXT 100 YEARS. There will be only 100 units and they all will be offered with exclusive only components, luxurious items and refined technologies.

On Tuesday evening, amid the special surroundings of BMW Classic, a select audience had the chance to witness a rather special presentation. The event included speeches from Hildegard Wortmann, Head of Product Management Automobile and aftersales and Jérôme Lambert, CEO of Montblanc, preceded the unveiling.

Also, there was an exclusive dance performance by the Spellbound Contemporary Ballet company before the cocoon finally opened to reveal the one and only Special Edition vehicle and the Montblanc for BMW Centennial Foundation Pen in front of a mirrored mosaic.

During the presentation, there was also an exclusive craftsmanship exhibition that showcased the art of a leather expert and calligraphy master who demonstrated the process of hand-made fine art that is further incorporated in the design and spirit of the limited run of vehicles.

The special collaboration kicked off in the autumn of 2015 with the “Montblanc for BMW” special collection that includes select range of leather, writing instruments and other components, inspired by the design of the new BMW 7 Series.

Definitely an unique event, the celebration in honor of the latest limited run of BMW vehicles definitely caught our eye.

BMW Celebrates Centenary With a Special Model Lineup

2016 BMW Individual 7 Series THE NEXT 100 YEARS Limited BMW announced the “BMW Individual 7 Series THE NEXT 100 YEARS” model lineup in order to mark brand’s centenary, representing BMW’s technological competence throughout the years. These special 7 Series vehicles will be limited to only 100 units and will offer some neat personalization tweaks.

Design

Of course, these unique 100 units have a lot to demonstrate. And when it comes to style, BMW knows how it’s done. First of all, we should mention the special exclusive centenary paint finish, the distinctive 20-inch BMW Individual light alloys and of course, that impeccable craftsmanship that BMW is known for.

In terms of interior the sweeties are dominated by fine grain Merino leather, fine collection of exclusive colors and tons of cutting-edge technology. As a result, the “BMW Individual 7 Series THE NEXT 100 YEARS” combines both the idea of contemporary luxury with the awareness for customer personalization.

Drivetrain system

So, what about the performance capabilities? BMW Individual are geared with a 12-cylinder 6.6-liter power unit, capable of providing 610hp (448kW) and sprints form 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in mere 3.6 seconds. The engine adopts the M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology and remains true to its roots. As you might know, back in 1987 the top-of-the-range version of the BMW 7 Series was also the first 12-cylinder production model to use throttle by wire technology.

The standard equipment also features 2-axle air suspension with automatic self-leveling and Dynamic Damper Control. Further refinement and driving smoothness is achieved with the incorporation of Active Steering and Active Comfort Drive systems. Of course, there are three selectable driving modes that are indeed COMFORT, SPORT and ECO PRO. Each of the three offers different performance characteristics in order to fit in every road situation and driver preferences.

Other goodies, part of the standard equipment, are Ambient Lightning, LED Light Carpet, Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Audio System and more. There are also optional Ambient Air and Executive Lounge Seating packages for further comfort and luxury enhancement.

BMW Showcases the Unique VISION NEXT 100 Vehicle

2016 BMW VISION NEXT 100 2016 season year meets BMW Group as the team celebrates its centenary under the motto THE NEXT 100 YEARS. Throughout brand’s history, BMW has shown the world incredible technologies, striking innovations and passionate team that committed itself for bringing refined vehicles and outstanding design.

Three are the qualities of BMW Group employees that drove the brand to such heights: the capability of learning and adapting, responsibility and of course, the undying desire for further innovations.

In fact, part of the celebration was the unveiling of the BMW VISION NEXT 100. This vehicle combines coupe-style sportiness and the elegance of a sedan. Some of the most notable features include Alive Geometry, Boost and Ease modes for driver-controlled or vehicle-controlled operations and of course, that unmistakable BMW feel and appearance.

Furthermore, there will be a special BMW Festival, held in 9-11 September 2016 that will not only demonstrate iconic BMW models, but will also be the stage of completely new and futuristic vehicles that will show brand’s ideas for the future.

And to round off the centenary year, there will be a special publication in 13 volumes. The idea is to outline the history of the brand and make a discussion about key models, ideas and turns of events. The books will contain a well blended mix of essays, reports, studies and expert reviews and interviews.

And last, but not least, BMW Group will increase its foundations to a total of €100 million and will start projects for additional sums to be collected with the idea of charity and social commitment.
