  • STARTECH Displays Sportier Bentley Continental Cabriolet in Frankfurt

STARTECH Bentley Continental Cabriolet Front ViewSTARTECH Bentley Continental Cabriolet can be also spotted in Frankfurt tomorrow. It will make company to the other Bentley model presented by STARTECH at its stand – the custom Flying Spur. Just like it, the Continental features extensive tuning program for its exterior and interior, and a promise for a future power upgrade. In fact, the most intriguing and eye-capturing about this cabrio is the extensive carbon-fiber treatment we see. It is featured on the outside as well as on the inside. But take a detailed look at the pictures below to make sure of that.

    Exterior

    STARTECH Bentley Continenal Rear End

This Bentley Continental can be described with one word only and it is “unique”. Its exquisite carbon bodywork creates an optimal blend of sporty-elegant design and aerodynamic efficiency. Starting with the front, it features in-house made front spoiler attached to the standard production bumper. It comes along with two carbon panels, which give the side air intakes more powerful and sportier profile. In addition, these elements not only serve as a beauty extra, but also reduce the lift on the front axle at high speeds, thus optimizing handling stability.

At the back, the first thing that grabs the eye is the striking highlights as well as the new carbon diffuser. Just like the Flying Spur, the Continental also got LED module integrated into the center of the diffuser, which serves as a rear fog lamp and a backup light at the same time.

A very impressive addition to the exterior is the new stainless-steel sport exhaust system, which has billet tailpipes. It also has integrated system of butterfly valves that can be controlled from the cockpit, thus creating the wished sound effect.

    Wheels & Tires

STARTECH Bentley Continental Cabriolet Wheels and Front Bumper

STARTECH Monostar G wheels fit perfectly not only on the Flying Spur, but also on this Bentley Continental. They come in 22-inch size and are mated with tires of size 295/30 ZR 22 for the front and rear axles.

    Interior

     STARTECH Bentley Continental Cabriolet Interior

Inside, we see an extremely detailed work and an interior finished with luxurious materials such as carbon fiber, Alcantara and the finest leather as well as mirror-polished surfaces. As you can see, the upholstery used is light gray and dark gray leather.

There is also a very nice contrast, created by the delicate radiant green highlights on the leather upholstery. It creates a special individual ambiance. All other interior carbon components, which feature checkered-flag pattern and mirror-polished surfaces, are also custom-made by the tuning company. So, we are definitely going to visit STARTECH’s stand at the Frankfurt Motor Show. There’s so much to see there.

  • STARTECH Debuts Two Bentley Projects in Frankfurt Starting with the Flying Spur

STARTECH Bentley Flying Spur Front ViewSTARTECH is displaying at the Frankfurt Motor Show tomorrow not one but two Bentley models. The first one is the Flying Spur, which will be reviewed right now, and the other one… we’ll you have to wait until the next article to know which is it. Unlike, the previously reviewed BRABUS, this car only features an extensive tuning for its exterior and interior. But there is a promise that STARTECH tuners will also offer professional performance upgrades for the V8 and W12 engines in the near future.

    Exterior

First we will discuss what happened to the exterior of the Flying Spur, starting with its front. There is a front spoiler, which has been attached to the underside of the production bumper. The effect it makes is that it gives the car a sporty facelift. In addition, it has a sophisticated shape, which reduces the aerodynamic lift on the front axle.

Next, the tuners integrated fiber-optic daytime running lights that match the appearance of the spoiler lip with the swept-up flaps. The wide air intake in the front bumper is emphasized via two additional panels.

STARTECH Bentley Flying Spur Rear View

Continuing to the rear, the Flying Spur now has even more dynamic appearance, due to the addition of new diffuser into the rear bumper. There is also a very special feature: the innovative LED module which combines backup lights and rear fog lamp in one module. It also has new design, which is reminiscent of the tail lamp of a modern-day Formula 1 racecar. In addition, there are special panels to the left and right of the diffuser, which frame the four new tailpipes and blend them perfectly with the rear profile.

A STARTECH sports exhaust system is available for this Bentley. The ‘thing’ about it is that it features electronically controlled system of butterfly valves that allow the driver to control the exhaust note.

    Wheels & Tires

STARTECH Bentley Flying Spur Wheels and Tires

To make the visual stance of the Bentley even more impressive, STARTECH had to chose the perfect wheels. So they decided to use the Monostar G forged alloys in size of 22-inches. High-performance tires of size 295/30 ZR 22 front and back perfectly fill out the wheel wells.

    Interior

Stepping inside of the car, one sees STARTECH special treatment for this Bentley. As you can see, the interior designers selected an unusual combination of light brown and white leather. This bi-color theme was accentuated via light blue highlights. The work inside also features leather inserts on the seats, door panels and headliner. At last, inside, there is also a custom made wood from white cherry wood.

  • Startech Releases a Commemorative Defender SIXTY8 in Only 68 Examples

Startech Land Rover Defender SIXTY8 Side ViewStartech Land Rover Defender SIXTY8 is one-off tribute to the legendary off-roader. It is based on the Land Rover Defender 110 Station Wagon and will be produced in only 68 examples signifying the years the legendary Defender was into production. After a 68-year production run, the Defender will be no longer available, and for this reason the tuning company decided to release the exclusive model in a limited edition of just 68 vehicles globally.

    Exterior

The exterior look of this vehicle is very classy. Featuring “Corris Grey Metallic” body and contrasting roof in “Santorini Black”, the car impresses with style and presence. In addition, Startech designers added in-house made Startech Series 3.1 vintage design appearance package.

What’s featured in this package? The answer: abundant tweaks for the Defender, making it stronger and more handsome than ever. Starting with the aluminum underride guard with SIXTY8 logo, the STARTECH Monostar D and continuing to the 18-inch alloys and tinted panoramic glazing for the rear windows, and ending with the new front, which transfers the design philosophy of the classic model with the unmistakable shape of its radiator grille to contemporary times.

SEE ALSO: Is it just a dream: Does Range Rover Pickup Exist?

The grill was painted in black and so were the bumper and air intakes. Something very special here are the LED highlights and the already mentioned Monostar D alloys with vintage design. The 18-inch wheels are coupled with BF Goodrich All-Terrain A/T off-road tires of size 265/65 R 18.

    Interior

Startech Land Rover Defender SIXTY8 Interior

SIXTY8 has an extremely beautiful interior as well. As you can see from the picture above it is upholstered in a combination of “Tan Light Brown” and “Ebony Black” leather, featuring diamond quilting. The sports seats are equipped with seat heating. The cabin also includes ALPINE multimedia system with 3D navigation and backup camera.

The details can be seen on the headliner and the sun visors for instance, since they are covered with fine black Alcantara. There is a glove box that is stylishly integrated into the dashboard, while the steering wheel, stainless-steel scuff plates and aluminum shift knob, emergency brake lever and pedals carry the SIXTY8 logo.

    Drivetrain

Interestingly enough, Startech did do some work on the powertrain. It packs a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine rated at 122 hp (90 kW) and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft), a sixspeed manual gearbox with off-road reduction gear and permanent all-wheel drive. It accelerates the Defender to 100 km/h in 15.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 145 km/h.

Startech SIXTY8 can be ordered in five- or seven-seater variant with prices starting at EUR 67,990.

  • Is it just a dream: Does Range Rover Pickup Exist?

Startech Range Rover Pickup Side VIewRange Rover Pickup? Yes, it is not a joke. When I initially looked at the pictures I thought that they are renderings. However, this is a real car and it is going to make a world premiere at the Auto Shanghai. The team behind it is Startech. The fist that grabs the attention is the strange exterior, but there is more to this.

Inside, the pickup has been also modified with leather upholstery, Alcantara and carbon-fiber elements. Some updates have been made to the five-liter V8 supercharged engine as well and it now has an output of 526 hp (387 kW). This enables Startech’s pickup to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. Unfortunately there is a top speed limiter positioned at 250 km/h.

What have happened to the exterior? First thing to note is the conversion from five-door car to a classy transport vehicle with pickup bed. This required designing and manufacturing more than 100 bodywork components from aluminum, carbon fiber and steel. And mind that the modified Range Rover has retained its five seats and spaciousness inside.

At the back behind the individual seats, the specialists have added rear bulkhead with heated tinted rear window, serving as a wall to the pickup bed. The roof has been also shortened but despite this, the panoramic sunroof has been entirely retained.

Next, the length of the pickup bed is 110 centimeters. Another 60 centimeters are added when the tailgate opens. Then, the specialists gave this vehicle widebody kit conversion. It comprises of various carbon-fiber infused parts like the new front bumper and the trim on the hood.

The impressive stance of the pickup is additionally strengthened by the integrated LED DRLs, side markers and front fog lamps. The front spoiler, side air deflectors and radiator grille round out the tuning of the face of the car.

Furthermore, the sides of the vehicle are dominated by the front and rear fender flares, carbon gills on the front doors and side mirrors, door trim and rear air intakes. The widebody kit also allows for 23-inch forged wheels installation. Called Monostar S, the alloys are black and are mated with huge tires.

The height of the pickup has also been lowered by 30mm via adjustable Startech suspension. In addition, at the back the standard bumper has been replaced with carbon one, and there we also see the dual tailpipes of the new exhaust system. It actually can control the sound of the V8 and contributes to the increase in the power output.

So far so good, but the question is why Startech has made all that effort to make a vehicle that is neither a pure Land Rover (famous with its capabilities) nor a pickup. At least we should applause their good work and efforts. They have impressed us.

  • STARTECH Adds Caviar To An Already Seasoned Meal

STARTECH, which is a subsidiary to BRABUS (and we all know them), have been toying with the new Jaguar XJ and the results are rather sublime and tasteful.

The makeover is mainly cosmetic which includes a finely designed aerodynamic kit, bulky 21 inched forged rims and a custom made interior.

The XJ is already striking enough as it is, with that sloping, gentle roof line which seems as if it is blending with the taillights. So STARTECH has decided that it only needs a few alterations for the ultimate aesthetic nirvana.  Now at the very end of the trunk, an elegant lip spoiler can be seen. All aerodynamic-enhancement components are manufactured in OEM quality.

The front of the car for example receives a minor addition (not a replacement) for the bumper. It is an curvy, meshed apron which reduces air-lift and with its constantly luminous LEDs one can say that improves day to day safety. The fenders are audaciously garnished with strikingly big air outlets on which one can spot the STARTECH logos (the first solid proof of the company’s involvement). At the opposite end of the side sills small elegant details, just before the rear wheel arches, finish the sporty look that has been started by the outlets. In turn the back end is garnished with a new fascia which houses a diffuser and two integrated panels with a typical STARTECH design. There can also be found the stainless-steel, company provided, rear mufflers.

    2012 STARTECH Jaguar XJ
    STARTECH Jaguar XJ (2011)

Since there is a lot of space under the wheel arches, STARTECH has gone the extra mile by fitting their Monostar J Diamond Edition wheels – three-piece forged monstrosities which come in sizes 9.0Jx21 and 10.5Jx21. They bare a mirror-polish shine with patches of titanium-look which complete the overall exterior of the Jag. Because of their lightness and durability and the extra wide tires on them (255/35 ZR 21 at the front and 295/30 ZR 21 at the back), they offer greater stability and control.

STARTECH also excels in different Alcantra and leather design. In this case, because of the XJ’s black exterior, they have gone for the cream-colored interior made from the soft and breathable Mastik type of leather.

The two independent seats at the back are electrically heated and the legroom in front of them is bathed in light which comes from the sides of the elegant, compartment riddled, center console.

More than 5 000 meters of thread has gone for the stitching of the seams on the dashboard, the leather flooring and the seat upholstery design. Great effort has been made by the STARTECH refinement team when it comes to the elaborate wood trim for the interior – Black, glossy polished piano wood was meticulously adorned by hand with ship-veneer-type inlays.

It is not all 19th century appeal though. Inside there is an integrated Apple iPad docking station with a bluetooth keyboard for it. Internet is not a problem as well – A 20 MBit/s GSM modem provides a high-speed internet connection via EDGE, HSDPA or HSPA+ protocols. Several passengers can communicate online at any time using a WLAN network available in and around the car. This car is more of a command center than it is a vehicle – in times of war I think I’ll give STARTECH a call.
