  • SR Auto Ferrari 458 Italia – Project Ice Blade

    SR-Auto-Ice-Blade-Ferrari-458-thumbSR-Auto-Ice-Blade-Ferrari-458-medium

This is one of those SR Auto project that actually make sense. “Ice Blade” they call it and it involves a no longer immaculate Ferrari 458 Italia. It has a full body kit that’s predominantly of carbon fiber, some new wheels and even a lowering suspension.

From top to bottom, the piano black roof complements the Novitec carbon fiber mirrors and carbon fiber door handles. The front lip spoiler and splitters too come in carbon fiber. Further back, there are the Novitec side skirts and at the back we get a carbon fiber diffuser and spoiler. Then we get to the wheels. A set of PUR 4OUR DEPTH dubbed “Davinci Red” – 21-inch at the front and 22-at the back. With their red lining, the white wheel arches feel rather complete, especially when we take into considoration the Basics lowering system that’s been shoved in as well.

That’s the SR Auto Ferrari 458 Italia Ice Blade in a nut shell. Does it work for you?

  • SR Auto Porsche Cayenne with PUR Wheels

SR-Auto-Porsche-Cayenne-THUMBThink of a car which is a pure example of luxury and class! Of course a lot of instances come into mind but they disappear in a second when one thinks about the Porsche Cayenne.

This Porsche comes powered by a 3.6 L V6 engine producing 300 horsepower (221 kW). A manual gearbox serves as the standard transmission system here featuring an eight-speed Tiptronic as standard equipment.

However this lucky unit got even prettier. And if you ask how, well the people from PUR Wheels and SR Auto Group have the answer. The owner of this particular Cayenne arrived with the request of wheels which weren’t too flashy.

PUR Wheels immediately supplied the Cayenne with their newly engineered highly coveted 4OUR DEPTH design in a twenty two inch SUV fitment. We can now only admire the owner who drives this beauty.

  • SR Project Maximus, The Black Bison

SR-Auto-Mercedes-Benz-CLS63-AMG-Maximus-thumbThis is more like it. It’s a Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG redone by SR Auto. Despite being the Canadian company’s initiative, this “Black Bison” is all Wald. It’s called the Project Maximus and incorporates a conversion kit and some wheels.

The Wald kit makes do with an aggressive front bumper with arched intake vents that have LED DRL integrated in them. The paint job on it is a two tone scheme for better contrast. The two front fenders also bare that tone scheme and so do the side skirts. Further back, there’s a Wald Black Bison trunk spoiler and a Wald Black Bison rear bumper that has specially made exhaust tips sticking out of it.

The cherry (or rather cherries) on top are the four 20-inch Wald Renovatio wheels that come finished in chrome and with silver coating on the windows of the spokes.

The Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG hides a 5.5-liter V8 engine that thrusts out 518 hp towards the back wheels. 700 Nm of torque have to be processed by the 7-speed automatic gearbox in such a way that the zero to sixty acceleration is done in no more than 4.4 seconds. With that kind of performance, those new features better be bolted properly or one might lose them on the highway.

  • SR Auto Lamborghini Murcielago SV with PUR Wheels

SR-Auto-Lamborghini-Murcielago-SV-thumbSR Auto have done it again – it’s white, Italian, all-wheel-driven, has PUR wheels on it and it’s called a project. Project White Wing to be exact. It’s a Lamborghini Murcielago SV and in all honesty, as soon as we saw the pictures, a certain endearment took us over. It’s not often we read news about Mercielagos, let alone SVs (which means SuperVeloce or SuperFast).

Let’s not let’s not lie to ourselves, those Aventador predecessors still need some of the spotlight. That’s why SR Auto have taken up on contacting PUR Wheels and acquiring two PUR 2WO Monoblock 19-inch wheels for the front and two 20-inch of the same sort wheels for the back. Guess sometimes it’s the subtle changes that make the difference.

The Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce was the most powerful bull of the line ever produced. It was the last model to join the family as well – a sort of a grand goodbye party. It’s V12 engine’s power was pumped up to 670 hp which meant that it’s carbon fibery body was capable of accelerating to 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standing start in just 2.9 seconds. Those wheels will have to work for their lunch.

  • SR Project Vindicator Puts PUR Wheels on Ferrari FF

SR Auto Vindicator Ferrari FFWe’ve said this before: putting a set of wheels on a car and doing a photo shoot is not really a project. SR Auto however, maintain that this is their latest project. It’s called the Vindicator and it involves a beautifully white Ferrari FF and… a set of PUR wheels. We are willing to agree that, this being an FF – the first Ferrari ever to feature an AWD system, the wheels do deserve some attention.

The inspiration for it, SR say, comes from their previous…ehem… project called the Era. The FF here has the same PUR 1NE Monoblock 21-inch wheels in a “Modern Black Finish”. They have a nice 5-double spoked design and provide a good view of the otherwise red brake calipers which is like eye candy to us.

The Frarri FF has an FM4 layout, that is Front-mid engined/four-wheel driven. For power it uses a 6.3 V12 engine that sends 660 PS and 683 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm through a 7-speed double clutch semi-automatic paddle shift system. The AWD setup in it (which is called 4RM) is around 50% lighter than conventional systems which ensure no typical Ferrari agility is lost along the way.
