Porsche 918 Spyder looks meaner with set of attractive new wheels

The super-expensive Porsche 918 Spyder hypercar just had a design boost delivered by the specialists at SR Auto Group. What I like so much about them is the fact that they make everything effortlessly and eventually deliver great-looking cars. And even more, they do this with simple measures, like adding only perfectly chosen wheels or add-ons that not interfere in a bad way with car’s overall design.

So, basically the Porsche 918 Spyder model stands at the forefront of modern technology and innovation. It actually does more: shows that a hybrid hypercar can be a display for what future could be.

The vehicle itself is driven by a V8 petrol engine, which generates a total of 608 hp (447 kW) and two special electric motors, that gives additional 129 hp (95 kW) and 156 hp (115 kW) respectively. To do the math for you, this makes a total of 887 hp (652 kW). The acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) is measured at 2.5 seconds, while the top speed is 385 km/h (214 mph). Crushing force, isn’t it?

The change done by SR Auto is not big but gives a fresh take on the Porsche. It now rocks a good set of wheels: forged two-piece PUR RS23.M2 sized at 20-inches. They feature more subtle finish and feature gloss black diamond face with a matching inner barrel. Respectively big tires are also at hand.

Liberty Walk and SR Auto Roll Out Insane Ferrari 458 Spider

In December last year we announced that the specialists at SR Auto Group have begun working on a Liberty Walk Ferrari 458 Spider. Back then there was only a couple of photos released suggesting that the black Italian supercar will have some red stylish accents. And so it has. Today we have the project fully revealed and I must admit it is crazy!

At first we must bring some attention to the LW wide body kit, which is the first factor making the car that impressive. The Japanese tuner has installed a front splitter as well as new extended side skirts. There is also the need of flared wheel arches so Liberty walk couldn’t just skip them. At the back we see carbon fibre bootlid lip spoiler and a new rear diffuser.

In fact, the lowered ride height perfectly complements the new aggressive and contrasting Davinci Red alloys. They come from PUR Wheels in the size of 20 inches at all four corners and feature exposed hardware in Gloss Black.

At last, this Prancing Horse did not receive any engine upgrades, meaning that it is powered by the direct-injection 4.5 litre V8 unit. It generates 578 horsepower (425 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. The maximum speed is of 320 km/h (198 mph) and the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is under 3.4 seconds.

All in all, this project seems to be very minimalist, but this is what I really like about it: small details mixed with a lot of passion!

SR Auto Teases Future Project on Liberty Walk Ferrari 458 Italia

SR Auto Group has teased the public with a picture showing what’s new in their garage. And it is a Liberty Walk Ferrari 458. They have announced that this car will stay a little bit longer there because it will be their next big project. Over the upcoming winter months, the tuners will be tackling the task of creating Vancouver’s first Liberty Walk Ferrari 458. No other details were revealed. Enthusiasts can follow the build progress on SR Auto’s Instagram or official web page.

Ferrari 458 Italia by Liberty Walk is perfectly proportioned. As we can see from the released image, the car is dressed in black paint and will feature some amazing shining red wheels, in the dimension of 20 or 21 inches, with multi-spoke design. We also see that they are coupled with low profile tyres.

Some of the key elements of the Japanese tuning that happened first include front bumper and spoiler set, side skirts, and a duck tail rear spoiler. We are not sure whether there will be any boost of the original engine.

The Ferrari 458 Italia is powered by the naturally-aspirated, direct-injection 4.5 litre V8 engine. It produces 578 horsepower (425 kW) at 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. This makes it effortless for it to reach a maximum speed of 320 km/h (198 mph).

Another important number here is the acceleration time which this Ferrari has for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h and it is under 3.4 seconds. The power of the 458 Spider is transferred to the road by Ferrari’s class-leading dual-clutch F1 paddle-shift transmission through the sophisticated E-Diff. Stay tuned for more pictures and details! BMW 650i Gran Coupe Enhanced By SR Auto Group

BMW 650i Gran Coupe By SR Auto Group includes some new tweaks which makes it even more desirable. The tuners have added a package which comprises of new wheels and lowering springs, thus giving this BMW more potent and masculine appearance. No changes to the powertrain were made, however the 650i Gran Coupe’s V8 unit barely needs one. The reason for this is that it generates the breath-taking 450 horsepower (330 kW) and maximum torque of 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) available between 2,000 and 4,500 rpm. The engine also comes with TwinPower Turbo technology with VALVETRONIC fully variable valve timing.

BMW 650i Gran Coupe accelerates effortlessly from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in only 4.6 seconds. Those impressive numbers however do not contribute towards high fuel consumption. On the contrary, car’s the average fuel consumption is rated as low as 8.6 ltres per 100 kilometres (32.1 – 32.9 mpg) and has CO2 emissions at 199 grams per kilometer. The potent powerplant is coupled with an eight-speed sports automatic transmission. In addition, it works together with an Auto Start-Stop function and ECO PRO mode.

The work of the specialists at SR Auto Group began with the installation of H&R lowering springs. They eliminate the factory wheel gap and contribute to a sport height drop and maintain the overall ride quality.

When the car was lowered, the transformation process continued with the installation of a set of Brilliant Silver PUR RS08′s in a twenty-one inch fitment. Precisely at the front the dimensions of the wheels measure 21×9 inches, while at the rear – 21×10.5 inches. All in all, the newly designed wheels provide one-of-a-kind touch to the Gran Coupe with a modern twist.

SR Auto Group Scion FR-S – Wide Body Kit

SR Auto Group has presented their tuned variant of the popular Scion FR-S. The drifting machine comes with an aggressive wide body kit, big wheels and some other improvements for perfect stance.

The aerodynamics package includes widened front and rear fenders, also a new front lip, GT wing, rear diffuser and side skirts. The kit is developed by Rocket Bunny.

The headlights are tinted and a candy red finish was applied to the taillights and emblems. There are also some carbon fiber elements like – APR mirrors, Seibon bonnet and fog light covers.

The SR Auto FR-S is lowered thanks to a BC Racing adjustable suspension. It rolls 18” wheels finished in a “Winning Blue” paint and fitted with low-profile tires.

Last, but not least, SR Auto has installed an Invidia cat-back sports exhaust system.

SR Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

The new project developed from the tuners SR Auto Group is the astonishing SR Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. It is all painted with matte black, thus making it look far greater and empowering. The color is one the best ones which any sport car can have today. This unique shade gives even sportier stance and when one sees its mate black body one will turn their head twice for sure!

This project has been done with the collaboration of SR Auto Group with Inspired Autosport – well known tuners from Toronto. This is their latest joint project features – the brand new matte SR Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe, which by the way can speak for itself. A night shadow theme encompasses the exterior and allows the crimson red of the calipers to shine through the twenty inch Niche wheels.

SR Project Kiluminati Ferrari 458 Pure Five

SR Project Kiluminati – The Contempo Renaissance – is the name of this incredible and astonishing tuning of the Ferrari 458 Italia model. It also called SR Project Kiluminati Ferrari 458 Pure Five, because it was the work of collaboration between SR Auto Group and PUR Wheels.

The result is this unconventional bold and distinct vehicle, for which every Ferrari fan will fall. Undeniably every Ferrari it wears this amazing attitude of style and class, however it is now even more enhanced by this exciting tuning.

The company “PUR Wheels” has contacted SR Auto Group in order to make this result happen. They had an idea for a wheel design which will pay homage to the past in a modern fashion. The idea in general consisted of using a three spoke wheel, which nowadays is considered to be old fashion. Nonetheless, we don’t see the end-result as old fashioned, do we? And they took this chance! This is how the named “design 5ive”, Project Kiluminati was born.
