Shelby reveals upcoming Heritage Limited Edition models

2020 Shelby GT350R A year before Ken Miles set lap records at Le Mans in Ford’s famed GT40, the famous race driver and engineers made waves on the track in the first 1965 Mustang Shelby GT350 fastback coupe. Ford celebrates the legacy 55 years later with a new limited-edition 2020 Mustang Shelby GT350 Heritage Edition Package.

For 2020 Ford produces a limited run of Heritage Editions finished in classic Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue side and over-the-top race stripes in a nod to the 1965 GT350 competition model developed by Carroll Shelby. Additional cues include front and rear exterior badges finished in Guardsman Blue and a unique dash badge inside. GT350R models will feature all-black seats with red accents.

The throwback Heritage Edition Package comes a year after Shelby GT350 received tons of upgrades. These include revised from chassis geometry for improved steering capabilities, revised antilock braking and MagneRide tuning for optimized aerodynamic components, altogether resulting in an improved ride, stability and handling both on the track and on the road. Additionally, the model gets a revised high-trail steering knuckle leveraged from the Shelby GT500. It also features a new steering rack and recalibrated electric power steering control.

2020 Mustang Shelby GT350 has a starting price of $50,440, while GT350R will be offered at $73,435.

Good News For Mustang Lovers Out There: 2017 Shelby GT350 Receives Additional Refinement

2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Ford Performance offers some additional goodies for the new Shelby GT350 Mustang. Available for order in June this year, the vehicle would offer extended list of standard features, as well as tons of optional techs. So, let’s see what the additions are.

The special Track Package becomes a standard feature and Shelby GT350 won’t bother themselves by choosing the pack over the standard equipment or the standard features over the Track Pack. Sweet. Also, the Track Package will offer more features and components in order to meet the requirements of the new season year.

Furthermore, the 2017 Shelby GT350 can be specified with three new colors and a choice of the optional Electronics Package or the Convenience Package. So, what else does the vehicle offer?

The Standard Track Package grants buyers with aluminum tower-to-tower brace, high-downforce decklid spoiler, engine oil, gearbox and differential coolers and MagneRide damping system. The three additional colors are indeed Ruby Red Metallic, Lightning Blue and Grabber Blue. Sadly, there are two that are already unavailable: the Deep Impact Blue and Competition Orange.

The two new packs, the Electronics and Convenience also bring something fresh on the table. Electronics Package will grant owners with SYNC 3 voice-activated navigation and nine-speaker audio system, while the Convenience Package offers the same options, but replaces the manual Recaro seats with leather-trimmed power sporty seats.

GeigerCars.de Introduces Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 to Europe

This time in their garage is the unique sixth-generation Shelby GT350 Mustang. The newest version of the popular ‘Eleanor’ (that starred in the blockbuster movie “Gone in 60 Seconds”), is actually paying tribute to the original Carroll Shelby from the 1965.

The benefits of this car are enormous, but probably the most important one is the special V8 sits under the GT350’s long bonnet. When compared to the original V8 Mustang motor, this one, being absolutely street legal and race-inspired, features a weight-optimized Flat-plane crankshaft with a 180-degree firing interval.

This allows the 5.2-litre Ti-VCT, 32-valve V8 to bring about higher revs, thus generating more power. As a result, the car produces 533 hp (392 kW) arrives at 7,500rpm, and the rev limiter cuts in at 8,250 rpm, while the peak torque of 582 Nm (420 lb-ft) is produced at 4,750 rpm. The Shelby GT350 also produces a throaty sound worthy of the aforementioned numbers.

Six-speed manual Tremec gearbox puts this power to the rear wheels and a Torsen limited-slip differential helps for the best traction. All of this is backed up with the 10.5 and 11.0×19-inch alloy wheels mixed with 295/35ZR19 and 305/35ZR19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, sports suspension, adaptive damping, huge Brembo brakes with 392 mm cross-drilled vented discs clamped by six-pot callipers in front, and 380 mm cross-drilled vented discs with four-pot callipers at the back.

Inside we see Recaro sports seats accompanied by premium sound system and other goodies.

Some of the most distinctive for the Shelby GT350 Mustang are also present, including bumper/spoiler combination, sculpted bonnet bulge, and the front wings with 35 mm wider front track. The back includes four-outlet sport exhaust with active valves as well a boot mounted spoiler lip.
