  • G-Power Unusually Boosts the Mercedes-AMG S63

G-Power Mercedes-AMG S63 Front ViewG-Power is mainly responsible for the transformation of BMW cars. So this is the reason why this project is rather unusual, because it involves a Mercedes-AMG S63. Besides the new styling feats it has been equipped with, it has also received performance boost and Vmax extender. Dressed in beautiful matt-pearl grey color, this car exudes masculinity and prominence. And here are the details:

    The Wheels

This S63 AMG runs on special in-house created Hurricane RR forged alloys, which are ultra weight and come in 20- and 21-inches of size. Besides the Jet Black color, they are also offered in Gun Metal Grey and Stardust Silver, and also feature optional diamond cut or high polished finish. Precisely, the front wheel arches were filled with 9,0Jx20-inch alloys connected with 255/35 R20 tyres, while the rear ones come in 10,5Jx20-inch and were mated with 285/30 R20 tyres.

We know that the weight has a direct influence on vehicle performance, but also that the lower unsprung mass of lighter wheels imposes less dynamic loads on the suspension elements. As a result, the handling and road holding as well as straight-line performance are improved.

    Updates for the Engine

     G-Power Mercedes-AMG S63 Rear View

The V8 motor under the hood of the S63 AMG has been tweaked via G-Power’s Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power upgrade. The result is spectacular, because it takes the vehicle from the standard 585hp (430 kW) to an incredible 705hp (518 kW), with peak torque swelling from 900 Nm (662 kW) to 1,000 Nm (741 kW).

After the removal of the Vmax limiter, the S63 coupe achieves effortlessly 330 km/h and covers the 0 to 100km/h benchmark in just 3.8 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds faster than the standard time.

Furthermore, there is high performance module, or the plug & play processor-controlled unit also programmed for crisper throttle response. This add-on system is not affected by factory software updates, and therefore the unit is also easily removed with no consequences.

  • G-POWER Surprises with Custom 700+HP Mercedes-AMG S63

G-POWER Mercedes-AMG S63 Front ViewG-POWER Mercedes-AMG S63 is a tuning we haven’t expected. Why? The reason is that we are used to seeing rather BMW modifications coming from this customizer. As you can expect from G-POWER they have concentrated in uprating the power of the S63 AMG and this has happened via ECU means.

Directly to the details: the significant amount of additional power and torque is generated by the G-POWER Bi-Tronik 5 V1 external ECU control module, which has been integrated into the cars CAN-BUS system. In this way, it sits between the original ECU and the engine. Installed via simple plug-and-play process, it can be removed just as quickly.

As a result, the G-POWER AMG S63 adds 120 horsepower (88 kW) and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) of torque. If this doesn’t mean anything to you, then you should know that the total output of the vehicle now reaches 705 hp (518 kW) at 5,000 rpm and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque, delivered from 3,000-5,000 rpm.

    G-POWER Mercedes-AMG S63 Rear View

With its extra power and torque, the S63 AMG now sprints from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Oh, and have I mentioned that there is no Vmax limiter? This means that the car continues accelerating until it achieves 330km/h.

Better handling, grip, braking and road appearance is ensured via the ultra-light HURRICANE RR forged alloy wheels. They are sized 9.0J and 10.5J x 21-inch and shod with 265/30R21 and 295/30R21 tires, at the front and rear, respectively. These wheels come in “Jet Black” with a diamond cut finish to their spoke faces.

  • Mansory Releases Power Upgrades for Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG

Mansory is one of my favorite tuners because they always do what seems impossible. This time they have showed us the conversion packages for the ultimate Mercedes S63 AMG coupe. The performance upgrades are the most important parts here. However, I can’t underestimate the visuals of this car, because it simply looks breathtaking. Just look at it!

All of the parts included here are made of carbon fiber. They are complemented by exclusive chrome multi-spoke wheels fitted with low-profile tires. Inside, the tuner chose a bi-color theme made with materials of highest quality.

SEE ALSO: Mansory with Another 1000 HP S-Class Project Called Diamond Edition

What is the deal with the engine? Basically, Mansory created power upgrades called M720 and M900 for this S63 AMG. As their name shows, they uprated the output of the engine to 720 PS and 900 PS.

Why this is a significant upgrade, you may ask? First, I have to mention that the standard 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine produces no less than 585 PS (430 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft). This means not only more power, but also faster acceleration times and updated top speed.

The first performance kit, the M720, updated the powertrain to 720 PS (530 kW) and 1,100 Nm (812 lb-ft) at 1,600 – 5,500 rpm. On the other hand, the M900 makes the engine pump out 900 PS (662 kW) at 5,700 rpm and 1,300 Nm (960 lb-ft) of torque achieved between 1,600 rpm and 5,700 rpm.

So, the next logical question is how fast this car accelerates now. The answer: it needs 3.3 seconds for the 0-100 km/h sprint, which is 0.6 seconds faster than the standard one. The top speed has been updated from 155 mph (250 km/h) to 186 mph (300 km/h).

  • Wheelsandmore Give This Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Additional 115HP

Wheelsandmore Mercedes AMG S63 Front and Side ViewWheelsandmore just released their vision for the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S Coupe and it was captivating. Now it is time for another great project by the tuner, which also involves the Mercedes and AMG brands. This time, under the expertise of the specialists has been subjected the S63 AMG coupe. It has been given not only more attractive stance, but it also received a bunch of additional horsepower.

The version of the refiner of the in-house “Seven-11” is impressive. Precisely, the 5.5-liter V8 bi-turbo received a substantial performance upgrade via software adjustment, which results in 700 hp (515 kW) (it has grown from 585 hp/430 kW), as well as 1100 Nm (812 lb-ft) of torque.

Contributing to these horses is also the modified stainless steel exhaust system. It now includes remote flap-controlled mufflers that are responsible for the astounding engine sound. In addition, there is also a CRP-F1 kit that ensures a better air to breathe in.

LowmaXX-module serves in terms of lowering, and this means that the new wheels of the AMG coupe are even closer to the road. Speaking of alloys, they are three-pieces forged matte-black 6Sporz and come in the size of 9,5×21 and 11,0×21 inches at the front and rear, respectively. The appropriate tires are a must, which measure 265/30/21 at the front and 295/30/21 at the rear.

  • G-Power has Christmas Present for Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG

The tuners at G-Power have always focused on the sportiest car versions. Their latest tuning is an example fort this, being a Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG. Its mighty 5.5 litres V8 biturbo motor, was boosted via Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module thanks to which the car now achieves unimaginable horsepower. The module records the information measured and submitted by the vehicle sensors before they reach the serial controller.

Then, the read-in data are changed by the microprocessor of the Bi-Tronik 5 and later submitted to the serial controller. The latter is to determine the parameters responsible for the output.

To get to the point, the serial 585 horsepower (430 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) were boosted to 705 hp (518 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft). After the power therapy, the acceleration time for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.8 seconds, with a Vmax positioned at 330 km/h.

The technicians at the tuning company have also considered the compatibility of the motor hardware in their power upgrade. In other words, this means that in the external Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module, all protection and diagnosis functions are kept.

To manage this power on the streets, the Mercedes needed new shoes. G-Power decided to give it 21-inch HURRICANE RR forged wheels fitted with 265/30R21 and 295/30R21 Michelin tyres for the front and rear respectively.  They have exclusive double-spoke design and perfectly accent the rest of the body.

  • Meet the new 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe

    2015-MB-front_thumb2015-MB-front_651

The German luxury automobile maker Mercedes-Benz has proudly presented its latest and greatest model – the ultra luxurious and very powerful 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe model. The car packs awesome looks, a great interior and a new 5.5-liter V8 bi-turbo gasoline engine that is more powerful and fuel-efficient than ever.

Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH explains: “The new S63 AMG Coupe is another exciting AMG dream car in the luxury segment. Now the S-Class Coupe also comes with performance-oriented AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive – as we rigorously pursue our all-wheel-drive initiative. Mercedes-AMG is putting the pedal to the metal again in the new year. Our model initiative is set to continue at blistering pace in 2014.”

The new car is full of new features and functions – it is up to 128 pounds (58 kg) lighter than its predecessor even though it comes with more standard equipment than before. The weight savings was achieved largely via the use of a lightweight lithium-ion battery, optional AMG forged light-alloy wheels and a weight-optimized AMG high-performance composite braking system. Furthermore, the entire outer skin and the front end of the body are made of aluminium. As you can imagine the lower weight improves driving dynamics and cuts on fuel consumption, moreover the low power-to-weight ratio results in impressive performance: the S63 AMG Coupe accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (0-97 km/h) in an estimated 3.9 seconds and goes on to reach an electronically-limited top speed of 186 mph (299 km/h).

These results are possible thanks to the powerful AMG 5.5-liter V8 bi-turbo engine that remains one of the most efficient series-produced V8 engines of all. The unit delivers 577 HP (424 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. Compared to the previous CL63 AMG model, the new engine brings 41 HP and 74 lb-ft (100 Nm) of power, yet it needs less fuel.

The new 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe also comes with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sport transmission. It brings maximum agility and exciting dynamics and drivers can configure their own personal set-up, depending on their driving style. There are three modes to choose from: “C” (Controlled Efficiency), “S” (Sport) and “M” (Manual). The ECO start/stop function is fitted as standard.

The car also features an AMG sport exhaust system with automatic logic-controlled exhaust flaps in both rear exhaust pipes. When the transmission is in “C” (Controlled Efficiency) mode, the flaps remain closed in most situations, in which case the eight-cylinder bi-turbo engine’s sound is more understated. In “S” (Sport) and “M” (Manual) modes, the exhaust flaps open earlier and more spontaneously, especially if the driver prefers a dynamic driving style. The result is an even fuller, hallmark AMG emotive engine sound. Moreover, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe has permanent AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive. When driving 33 per cent of the engine torque gets sent to the front axle and 67 per cent to the rear axle. The rear-biased power distribution provides the signature AMG high driving dynamics and superlative driving enjoyment as well as boosting acceleration from a standing start. The all-wheel drive also enhances driving safety on wet or wintry road surfaces when equipped with winter tires. Optimum traction is guaranteed by a multi-disc clutch with a locking effect of 37 lb-ft (50 Nm), which maximizes the frictional connection potential of all four wheels.

The list of features goes on – the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe comes with a full air-suspension AIRMATIC system with an adaptive ADS PLUS damping system. Specific front axle kinematics – including higher camber, a larger anti-roll bar and a stiffer subframe carrier on the rear axle – have been developed exclusively for the S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe. These measures enhance the vehicle’s agility for performance driving.

As this is not enough the guys at Mercedes will also allow you to get some features as options. This is valid for the AMG forged light-alloy wheels. This design reduces weight while at the same time increasing strength. The lower unsprung masses result in advantages in terms of handling and spring/damper element response.Optional wheels include 10-spoke forged wheels painted in titanium grey with a polished finish – 8.5 x 20 at the front and 9.5 x 20 at the rear, with 255/40 R 20 and 285/35 R 20 tires respectively. The forged wheels feature a high-quality, screwable and fully integrated wheel bolt cover made of forged aluminium. Its shape is reminiscent of a center lock as seen in motorsport. The AMG logo is integrated into one of the ten spokes. These forged wheels are also available painted in matte black with a high-sheen rim flange. A high-performance composite brake system is also an option for the first time. The car comes equipped with a weight-optimized, fade-resistant AMG high- performance composite brake system. An AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system is available as an option. This design, which is more than 20 percent lighter, ensures lower unsprung masses and enhanced braking performance.

There’s no need to say that the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe is full of luxury and features great looks. The front end of the car is dominated by the three-dimensional AMG “twin-blade” radiator grille in silver shadow (a matte silver finish). Whether in motion or stationary, distinctive AMG lettering between the twin-blade lamellas leaves no doubt: this is a high-performance model from Affalterbach. The A-wing is located below the radiator grille. This three-dimensional air-ducting element is painted in the body color, spans the entire width of the front apron and displays the stylized “A” that is a hallmark of AMG vehicles. Large, black flics surround the outer cooling air intakes. Down below, the front splitter in silver shadow optimizes the flow of air to the cooling modules. This design feature, which is a familiar sight in motorsport, also reduces front-axle lift and enhances the vehicle’s aerodynamic balance.Further eye-catching features include the large AMG designed wheels. “V8 BITURBO” lettering in a new, contemporary typography on the front wings is another hallmark AMG design touch. On the inside the car surprises in a good way too – the instrument panel almost seamlessly transitions into the doors in a wrap- around design. High-quality materials and fine workmanship are combined with a sporty and exclusive design idiom. The newly developed AMG sport seats with power adjustment, memory function and seat heating/ventilation offer the driver and front passenger optimum lateral support. Fine AMG design Nappa leather with piping together with AMG badges on all four seat backrests and an embossed AMG emblem on the armrest of the front center console create an exquisite atmosphere.

The new three-spoke AMG sport steering wheel with its distinctively contoured rim and perforated leather in the grip area allows perfect vehicle control. There is an AMG logo in the lower metal insert, and new aluminum shift paddles shorten the reaction time when changing gears to enhance performance. Another feature displaying the hallmark AMG look is the high-resolution TFT color AMG instrument cluster with two animated round dials. In addition to the specific lettering and the needles in red/silver, further distinctive design features include the AMG start-up display, the AMG logo in the speedometer 200 mph scale (left) and the “V8 BITURBO” lettering in the rev counter (right).

The new, innovative touchpad, included as standard equipment, makes it significantly easier to operate the radio, telephone and navigation system. The safety and assistance systems are the same as those for the S550 4MATIC Coupe.

Interested in the car? The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe had its world premiere at the 2014 New York International Auto Show in April of this year and US customers will be able to get the car sometime this fall. No word on pricing as of now.
