  • ROUSH Mustang Stage 3 Produces 670 Horsepower!

At last, ROUSH Performance announced the final results for the 2015 ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang. This machine will come with the titanic 670 hp ( 492 kW) and 545 lb-ft of torque. Furthermore, ROUSH brand promises, that the 2015 Stage 3 Mustang will come with unique driving experience. If I have to be honest, I am not sure if they didn’t make a mistake and really meant “flying experience”, instead of “driving experience.” However let’s see what the latest Mustang has to offer.

Obviously, what bothers people the most, is how did ROUSH achieved the crushing horsepower, along with the high torque levels. What they did is an interesting combination between Ford’s 5.0-Liter V8 engine and the special 2015 ROUCH 2.3-Liter TVS supercharger.

Every Ford lover and customer will tell you, that the 2015 ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang is not just a car: it is an experience, that really makes you wonder where is the gap between race car and road car. The doubt surely gets even more serious, when you try to tame the beast.

The 2015 ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang achieved incredible ballance between the  crushing 670 hp and the wonderful handling and braking systems. All the features and additions to the latest Mustang vehicle blend to deliver the ultimate experience, when it comes to muscle cars.

  • ROUSH Performance Releases Stage 3 Kit for the Mustang [VIDEO]

ROUSH Ford Mustang Stage 3 Front ViewFord Mustang has been lucky to be one of the most famous and desired car in the world. This does not count only for ownership, but also for customization. Many companies have already released their tuning kits for the latest generation Mustang, thus making it more unique and with better characteristics. The good news is that one of the prominent modifiers of the pony car has already finished its phase 2 and 3 kits.

I am talking about the specialists at ROUSH Performance, who have also released a video showing a dyno run for a development vehicle. In it you will see and hear the rear wheel horsepower with a stock engine and the phase 1 Supercharger kit hardware plus. The upgrades added are as follows: a 75mm supercharger pulley, upgraded fuel injectors, fuel pump booster kit and calibration enhancements.

The testing they performed was done via 93 octane, stock manifolds, and stock catalytic converters. What impression we can get from the video? Due to the small modification to the phase 1 hardware, the 2.3L supercharger kit is capable of exceeding 800 horsepower (588 kW). Just imagine what phase 2 and 3 could do?!

To go into details, the stage 3 Mustang is expected to be the most powerful and well-balanced production version of the car to be launched, not only out of ROUSH Performance garage but also in general. Under the hood of the car is the ROUSHcharged Coyote 5.0, pushing out more than 800 hp. In the second video below you can see in details what it exactly features.

For instance, there is a Quad-Tip exhaust mated with an Active Exhaust System, exclusive “R7” aerobody complemented by graphics and badging, and single adjustable coilover suspension system as a standard. In addition, there is also an independent rear- and optional TrakPak coilover suspension. The latter allows for adjustment of height, compression, and rebound.

ROUSH Stage 3 for the Mustang has been priced at $21,995 USD. It’s up to you to decide whether it is worth it. Nonetheless, the car looks and sounds astonishing!

  • 2014 Roush Off-Road Ford F-150 SVT Raptor With Custom Graphics

2014-Roush-Off-Road-Ford-F-150-SVT-Raptor-shadow2014-Roush-Off-Road-Ford-F-150-SVT-Raptor-mediumThunderous rumble, kids cry, car alarms go off. Is it the end of days? Nope, more like a Roush Off-Road Ford F-150 SVT Raptor with custom graphics. It’s good, it’s bad, it’s ugly. Go ahead, make our day…

Okay, so we got our Clint Eastwood movies mixed up but in our defence, those patterns on the paint job are very confusing. Where in the natural world do you find such red hues? Nowhere you say? Why go camo then? And why only one third of the vehicle? Don’t get us wrong, we like the plain red bits; but the rest is just for show, and we here are all about efficiency.

And speaking of efficiency (or the lack of it), let;s take a minute and discuss the massive TVS-tech R2300 Supercharger that sits on top of the F-150’s 6.2-liter V8. It’s part of the Roush Phase 2 performance upgrade that also includes a big intercooler and high-flow fuel injectors. Add to that some engine calibration and you have yourself a 590 hp monstrosity that starts a fuel crisis every time you start it up.

Can’t leave it at that. Roush engineers have also added a dual tip performance tuned, cat back exhaust system. It’s all throaty and noisy and is made of stainless steel (the expensive type). The tips are chrome flashed which, apparently, is better than being chrome plated. Something about resistance to heat and durability. We are bad at physics.

This Raptor right here, is almost finished. All it’s left are the approximately aggressive wheels and some LED lightning works.

  • Custom Made 2014 ROUSH Ford Mustang Stage 3 Still Hot

    2014-ROUSH-Ford-Mustang-Stage-3-shadow2014-ROUSH-Ford-Mustang-Stage-3-medium

Despite all the hubbub around the brand-new Mustang 2015, we shouldn’t be ruling out the “old” pony just yet. Here’s an example of how mental it can be, especially in the hands of ROUSH. This is a one-off, custom Ford, made to fit the customer’s fancy. Those red motifs and that red-star – not really vinyl livery, but actual paint. Pretty neat, huh?

Let’s start from the beginning. This is a 2014 ROUSH Ford Mustang Stage 3 with the optional Ford Racing “Aluminator” engine. It is the perfect ideal onto which ROUSH have strapped an Eaton TVS R2300 supercharger and an in-house “high-efficiency” intercooler. After the appropriate calibrating of the ECU this stang should be having around 625 hp or even 675 if they’ve gone all the way.

Stage 3 also means that the chassis has been completely overhauled – new custom-valved front and rear shock absorbers, TrakPak coil-overs specifically opted by the customer and the biggest brakes (six-piston calipers) they could fit. The Mustang’s manners on the track should be further improved because of the stiffer front stabilizer bar and the rear anti-wheel hop upper control arm. Weather for aerodynamic efficiency or pure flamboyancy, the ROUSH “R6” Aerobody package is also present.

Inside, we can clearly see two Recaro sports seats at the front and … none at the back. Instead, ROUSH has provided an X-brave for even more rigidity of the body.

  • ROUSH Performance Ford Raptor Phase 2 Gets More Power

ROUSH-Performance-Ford-Raptor-Phase-2-THUMBFord Raptor is one of those vehicles which can not go unnoticed. The reason certainly is its huge size, but also another factor is that it has such powerful stance, that it brings about awe and admiration.

Exactly on this model ROUSH Performance decided to do some calibrations. Although that the vehicle is initially powerful, the specialist form the tuning company decided to enhance its strength.

The truck is something they have put together to help support Cooper Tire and Mickey Thompson for SEMA week to showcase Cooper’s tires and Mickey Thomspon’s rims. Nevertheless they have used the event to show thier new Phase 2 R2300 calbibration for the 6.2L Raptor.

But to go further into details, now the V8 power unit under the bonnet of this Ford generates the staggering 590 hp (434 kW) and has a maximum output of 590 Nm (435)! This ensures that the ride can easily drive away from, through or over obstacles both on the road as well as off-road. This tuning is the perfect example of an amazing combination between rough power, strength, exclusive safety and passenger comfort.

  • 2013 ROUSH Ford Mustang RS

ROUSH-RS-Ford-Mustang-thumb“Engineered on the track, refined for everyday” is what ROUSH say about their latest Ford Mustang RS. It’s a MY 2013 and the RS stands for “ROUSH Six”. The base platform used for it is the rather sensible 3.7-liter V6 Mustang.

We say sensible because the power still stands at the stock 305 hp which are good for 31 mpg of economy on the highway. It’s slightly unusual for ROUSH to not glue a giant, fuel guzzling supercharger. But where the Mustang lacks in boost, compensates in suspension engineering. Brembo brakes peeking out from 19-inch, directly lifted from the Ford Mustang GT, alloy wheels and ROUSH lowering springs which lower the center of gravity by around one inch.

As for visuals, the RS shares many features with the ROUSH Stage vehicles – high-flow upper and lower grilles, a front chin splitter, side rocker splitters and a trunk spoiler. The way to tell apart the RS is by looking at the fender “R” badge on either side and also at the “R” ROUSH faux gas cap. Optional components (not really needed) are the hood scoop, rear quarter window louvers and the RS exterior side and hood graphics.

Inside, the floor mats and center console have the markings of “ROUSH” the pedal box in the driver’s foot well is custom made. Available is also a black leather trim a suede wrapping for the steering wheel and a black or white shifter ball. Ambiently lit ROUSH door sill plates complement the whole exclusive look.

  • 2013 ROUSH Staged Ford Mustang

ROUSH-Ford-Mustang-thumbUpdate on ROUSH‘s Staged Ford Mustangs. And by “Staged” I don’t mean fake. No, it’s 2012 so the time is right to roll out the 2013 MY product – more style, more aggression and, it goes without saying, more muscle.

Three Stages are available with number three being sort of the full program. Stage 1 works on the visuals and Stage 2 deals with the handling bits. With a Stage 3, the Mustang’s 5.0L-4v Coyote powertrain comes along with a supercharger. That means a power output of 565 horsepower and 505 lb-ft of torque. People move planets with that sort of power. It’s not just any supercharger but ROUSH’s own R2300 unit that features Eaton’s TVS (Twin Vortices Series) patented technology. It’s thermally more efficient produces higher volumetric capacity and helps up the RPMs of the turbine.

Evidently, the overhaul does not consist solely of protein shakes. The handling has been improved as well thanks to a larger, stiffer front stabilizer bar (counters body roll) a unique ROUSH designed anti-wheel hop kit, twin-tube shocks, increased rate springs as well as upgraded bushings and jounce bumpers. The company engineers have spent countless nights working on the perfect calibration of all of that so that the final product can start, stop and corner the way a gearhead would want it to. The aluminum, five spoke, chrome ROUSH wheels are also considered as a handling improvement as they measure up to 18×10. (20-inch ones are an option)

Even at the very first stage, Stage 1, the Mustangs get a 6th generation ROUSH Aerobody called the R6. It consists of an upper and lower grille, corner fascia aero-pockets with driving lamps and front a chin splitter. The ROUSH hood scoop, rocker panel and rear fascia side splitters, the three-piece rear decklid spoiler and the new ROUSH rear aero-valance featuring race-inspired diffusers are also parts of it. As a finishing touch, someone at ROUSH had the nice idea of planting a set of newly designed, integrated dual chambered, chrome exhaust tips.

Inside, the Stage 3 comes with a custom dial cluster, ROUSH embroidered floor mats, a ROUSH center console button and a Stage 3 dash medallion. Other than that, one can further the customization process with some optional packages. Fancy a suede jungle inside your personal ROUSH Mustang? Well, great! They have just that in stock – suede inserts in the leather seats, suede door panels and a suede shift boot and steering wheel.

The ROUSH program for the Mustang is available for both convertibles and coupes. It doesn’t matter of its a stick or an automatic and all is, most definitely, street legal. Whichever choice you make, you will get a 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. This April, be on the lookout for these ROUSH Mustangs in the local dealrs.

  • Roush and the Ford F-150

2012-ROUSH-F150-thumbThe Ford F-150 truck is a cultural phenomenon with 584,917 units sold in the US during year 2011 alone. Now the company is anticipating four new engines and ROUSH tuning house is not willing to stand and watch. Instead, both new Ford 6.2L and 5.0L V-8s will get a full supercharger kit while the other two new comers will get enhancements as well, all for the greater grunt.

First lets talk about the juicy stuff: 2.3L TVS R2300 superchargers featuring Eaton’s new TVS Technology can be preordered and fitted to the V8 engines. Those massive turbos boast four-lobe rotors with high-flow inlet and outlet ports which basically allow more power at higher RPM. Other highlights include ROUSH’s new cold air induction system, a 100 mm MAF tube (mass airflow meter), twin 60mm throttle body, a high efficiency intercooler system that incorporates a dual-core low temp radiator, degas bottle and high capacity air-to-water intercooler. A non-calibrated 5.0 Tuner kit is now available for order with the calibrated ROUSH 5.0 kit coming this february. The 6.2 non-calibrated one will be available sometime this month while the 6.2 calibrated ROUSH edition can be shipped no sooner than April.

    ROUSH F150 (2012)
    ROUSH F150 (2012)

All four engines (that includes the 3.7 V6 and 3.5 V6) will get cold air induction system kits. In the V6 that translates into an open element upper air box, a washable high-flow air filter and a new MAF tube. V8 also get get that, plus a new clean air tube. Everything is carefully tuned and crafted with OE materials to meet F-150 factory standards. All kits are designed for easy installation requiring no drilling or cutting.

To wrap it up, ROUSH have thrown in a dual-tip, stainless steel, high performance cat back exhaust system. It fits virtually every engine/cabin/bed configuration. It allows air to go trough more smoothly and reduces back pressure which supposedly increases power and torque… and engine noise. The mufflers are made from high grade stainless steal smeared with specially applied (micro-porously) chrome that does not subdue to flaking or cracking under high temperatures.

By the time April comes around, all ROUSH performance parts should be ready for shipment so that newly acquired F-150 trucks wont have to roll the streets naked.
