Its purpose is to allow owners to indulge in more outdoor activities with its intelligent features, which facilitate exploration of unfamiliar locations and tackling new obstacles. This is the toughest and most interconnected Ranger to date, and the solitary midsize pickup that is Built Ford Tough.

Every element of the all-new Ranger has been meticulously designed by Ford to meet the needs of adventure-seeking customers who refuse to settle for anything less. This includes the truck’s structure, suspension, power systems, connectivity, and cutting-edge driver assistance technology.

“Ford is the No. 1 selling pickup manufacturer globally and Ranger is the winning choice for midsize truck customers around the world who need a capable, smart and versatile truck that’s ready to keep up with their adventures. The all-new Ranger has already proven itself on almost every continent in 2022 with segment sales leadership in 18 countries, and all of Europe†. Now it’s ready for North America.” – Kumar Galhotra, president of Ford Blue

In 2022, the Ford brand achieved sales of over 1 million pickup trucks worldwide, with the Ranger playing a significant role in this accomplishment. Over the last decade, global Ranger sales have surged by 112 percent, and this year alone, more than 86,000 units have been sold.

Recently, Kelley Blue Book® honored the previous generation 2023 Ranger with the award for the lowest five-year total cost of ownership in the midsize pickup truck category, considering factors such as insurance, fuel, maintenance, and depreciation costs.

The all-new 2024 Ford Ranger has been tailored to meet the constantly evolving demands of North American adventure enthusiasts. The latest Ranger is equipped with more towing technology than any previous iteration, as well as practical storage features and an optional 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine for added strength.

    Ranger Ready

When it comes to preparing the Ranger for backcountry exploration, its durability and reliability are the foundation. The all-new Ford Ranger has been subjected to the equivalent of over 4.9 million customer miles of testing before its release to ensure that it is Built Ford Tough. This extensive testing has included driving on broken roads in Australia, heavy hauling and towing in America, and cold weather testing in New Zealand.

To enhance the backbone of the Ranger, Ford engineers have made significant improvements to its fully boxed high-strength steel frame. The wheelbase and track have been extended by approximately two inches to provide more space in the bed and improved stability while still being able to navigate trails with ease. Additionally, the rear shocks and shock mounts have been moved outboard of the frame rails to enhance ride and control. Improved ground clearance and better approach and departure angles make all versions of the Ranger more capable off-road.

Whether you’re embarking on a day trip or a multi-day expedition, the all-new Ranger is equipped to transport your gear to wherever your next adventure awaits, with a maximum available towing capacity of 7,500 pounds and maximum available payload capacity of 1,805 pounds. The proven 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine continues as the standard option, generating 270 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft. of torque. The Ranger also offers an available 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, which is shared with the F-150® and Bronco®, and produces 315 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque for increased power while towing, passing, and off-roading. All Ranger models come with a standard 10-speed automatic SelectShift® transmission that is exclusive to its class and an available electronic shift-on-the-fly 4×4 system that provides on-demand off-road and low-traction capability.

    More Ranger, More Ready

The all-new Ranger has introduced new and improved storage and features for its owners. These features include a wireless charger for mobile devices, a big center console storage bin, large door pockets for quick access to tools and items, and an optional upper glovebox for more storage. Additionally, the Ranger offers optimized under-seat rear cargo bins, fold-flat rear seatbacks, and space behind the seats for tools and equipment.

The interior of the Ranger boasts upgraded materials, textures, and improved fit and finish, with purposeful technology at your fingertips. The driver can access dedicated screens for drive modes, off-road data, navigation, music, and other vehicle controls with a touch. The Ranger also includes a standard embedded 4G LTE modem, FordPass® Connect, and SYNC®4A system, with a standard 8-inch digital instrument cluster and an available 12.4-inch cluster. The available 360-degree camera is linked to the center screen to simplify parking and terrain navigation. Physical buttons and knobs under the screen simplify controlling climate and radio volume.

The Ranger also offers advanced technology to help drivers on and off the road. It comes with 31 standard or available driver assist features, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go and BLIS with Trailer Coverage to help alert drivers to vehicles in their blind spots. The Lariat 4×4 model also features a short-throw E-shifter that enables the available class-exclusive Active Park Assist 2.0, a fully-automated system to help customers parallel and perpendicular park in tight spots, and Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Trailer Reverse Guidance, which uses cameras to show angles and monitor conditions surrounding the truck while providing real-time coaching on how to maneuver the trailer.

For added convenience, the bed of the Ranger has an Integrated Box Side Step behind the rear tires, providing a stable way to access everything in the cargo box. The redesigned tailgate doubles as a workbench with an integrated ruler and clamp pockets, and an available 400-Watt power inverter with an outlet in the bed makes running tools, grills, or other equipment a breeze. Additionally, the Ranger’s bed is over four feet wide between the wheel wells, making it easier to load bulky cargo like an ATV.

    Bolder Design

The all-new Ranger features a bold and rugged design with unique grilles and front-end appearances for each trim level – XL, XLT, and Lariat. The front end is defined by a signature Ford C-clamp headlight treatment, which is complemented by strong shoulder lines down the sides and bolder wheel arches, giving the Ranger a sure-footed look. The rear end of the Ranger mirrors the front with C-clamp taillamps, and the word “RANGER” is stamped across the tailgate, making it clear to everyone what you’re driving. Overall, the design of the Ranger is both modern and functional, with a distinctive look that sets it apart from other midsize pickup trucks.

  • Ford Ranger Raptor

It’s finally here! The brand new 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor is on its way to North America. This beast of a vehicle is built with an unwavering commitment to top-notch performance, featuring a rock-solid suspension design, formidable power, cutting-edge technology, and an undeniably rugged look. No matter what kind of terrain thrill-seekers throw its way, the Ranger Raptor is more than up for the challenge. Get ready to take on the wildest adventures with this bad boy!

“Ranger Raptor is the high-performance off-road truck so many customers have been begging for. It’s right-sized for tight trails and daily life, can carry lots of gear, and is a blast to drive. Ranger Raptor is fast, comfortable, and packed with top-shelf, purposeful technology that’s designed to perform. This is the baddest Ranger we’ve ever made.”– Carl Widmann, Ford Performance chief engineer

    Confident Suspension, Purposeful Tech

At the core of every Raptor lies its suspension system. The Ranger Raptor takes things to a whole new level with a purpose-built suspension that features lightweight aluminum upper and lower control arms, as well as a long-travel rear suspension complete with a Watts linkage and trailing arms that provide ultimate control and confidence in off-road environments.

To ensure uninterrupted performance all day long, the Ranger Raptor comes equipped with next-generation FOX™ 2.5-inch Live Valve Internal Bypass shocks that boast coil-overs at the front and piggyback reservoirs at the rear, effectively reducing heat build-up.

Built on a sturdy foundation, the Ranger Raptor reinforces Ranger’s fully boxed frame by beefing up key areas such as the front frame rails, front shock towers, rear shock brackets, and suspension mounting points. These enhancements enable the Ranger Raptor to tackle even the most challenging off-road conditions with ease.

The FOX™ Live Valve Internal Bypass system is customizable to the Ranger Raptor’s various Drive Modes. These include Normal, Tow/Haul, Sport, Slippery, Off-Road, Rock Crawl, and Baja, all of which are designed to provide improved on-road comfort, off-road control, capability, and ride quality at both high and low speeds.

Each selectable drive mode has a direct impact on the tuning of the engine, transmission, ABS calibration, traction control, steering, throttle response, and even the instrument cluster and touch screen display. The Ranger Raptor’s active valve exhaust system can also be customized with several modes, including Quiet, Normal, Sport, and Baja settings. And, for those tricky spots, the Ranger Raptor is equipped with Trail Control™, a feature that allows drivers to navigate tricky terrain while the truck manages the throttle and brakes.

Powertrain Fit for a Class of One

When it comes to the Ranger Raptor, a suspension system this exceptional deserves to be backed up by an equally impressive level of power. That’s why the Ford Performance-tuned twin-turbo 3.0-liter EcoBoost® V6 produces a whopping 430 lb.-ft. of torque and an outstanding 405 horsepower, making it the most powerful Ranger ever built for unbeatable performance on any terrain, be it gravel, dirt, mud, or sand.

Thanks to a compacted graphite-iron cylinder block, the engine incorporates a race-bred anti turbo-lag system that allows for boost on demand in Baja mode. This means that even after the driver backs off the throttle, the turbochargers continue to spin for up to three seconds, ensuring that acceleration is readily available while exiting corners. And, with the class-exclusive 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission paired with an advanced four-wheel drive system featuring a new electronically controlled on-demand two-speed transfer case combined with front and rear locking differentials, the Ranger Raptor delivers a truly unparalleled driving experience.

    Designed for Purpose

In designing the Ranger Raptor, every single element was crafted with a specific purpose in mind. The modern and confident styling starts with LED projector headlights, providing superior illumination at night, complemented by signature C-clamp lighting. The grille features bold F-O-R-D lettering and sits above an all-steel bumper with frame-mounted front and rear tow hooks, while the LED taillights provide a signature C-clamp link to the front. The flared fenders, complete with functional fender vents, accommodate aggressive 33-inch BFGoodrich® all-terrain KO3® tires on 17-inch wheels, which can be mounted on optional beadlock-capable wheels with available bead locks for running extra low tire pressures in sand and rocky conditions. Underneath, the Ranger Raptor boasts serious underbody protection, including a thick front bash plate made of high-strength steel and dedicated engine, transfer case, and fuel tank shields.

Inside the cab, the Ranger Raptor is built for high-performance driving. The sport steering wheel features cast magnesium alloy paddle shifters for quick transmission control and a signature Raptor centering mark in a striking Code Orange color. Six overhead upfitter switches, mounted in the overhead console, make it easy to power off-road hardware. The unique Ford Performance front seats are designed for maximum support, with extra bolstering to hold drivers in place during high-speed cornering. And the rest of the cab is fitted with premium materials, trimmed in Code Orange to complete the overall look and feel of this impressive vehicle.

That’s quite impressive! Winning the Baja 1000 is a significant achievement, and completing the race and then driving home is a testament to the Ranger Raptor’s durability and performance. The Ranger Raptor’s features, including the advanced suspension, powerful engine, and off-road technologies, make it a compelling option for adventure seekers looking for a capable and rugged truck. The connectivity features, such as the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, also provide convenience and entertainment while on the road. The Raptor family’s expansion across Ford’s truck and SUV lineup shows the automaker’s commitment to offering high-performance vehicles for enthusiasts who want to push the limits of what their vehicles can do.

  • Ford Ranger Tremor

Ford Pro has just announced the latest additions to the 2023 Ford Ranger lineup in Europe, the Ranger Wildtrak X and Ranger Tremor. The Ranger Tremor, on the other hand, is based on the hard-working Ranger XLT and shares the same chassis and technology upgrades as the Wildtrak X. It features a distinctive long-leg tubular sports bar and water-resistant vinyl trim.

Both the Ranger Wildtrak X and Tremor come with unique styling cues that reflect their off-road prowess, and they’re both available for order starting from March 2023. The new Flexible Rack System is also available as an option for Ranger Limited and Wildtrak models. Overall, these new additions to the Ford Ranger lineup are set to broaden the appeal of the latest Ranger family to more customers than ever before.

  • Next-Gen Ford Ranger Raptor Rewrites the Rulebook for Ultimate Off-Road Performance

2023 Ford Ranger Raptor - Front Angle View

The next-generation and next-level Ford Ranger Raptor has arrived. Built to dominate in the desert, master the mountains and rule everywhere in between, the second-generation Ranger Raptor raises the off-road performance bar as a pick-up built for true enthusiasts.

Developed by Ford Performance, the Next-Gen Ranger Raptor is the ultimate performance derivative of the all-new Ford Ranger. With smarter technology controlling tougher, next‑generation hardware, Ranger Raptor blends raw power with mechanical and technical precision to create the most advanced Ranger ever.

“We’ve really focused on delivering a genuine performance truck with the Next-Gen Ranger Raptor,” said Dave Burn, Ford Performance chief programme engineer for Ranger Raptor. “It’s significantly faster, looks incredible, is packed with new features, and it’s the toughest Ranger we’ve ever made.”

European Ranger enthusiasts have special reason to celebrate as the all-new Ranger Raptor is the first model from the Next-Gen Ranger line-up to be launched in Europe, with customer deliveries starting in the final quarter of 2022.

The Raptor’s imminent arrival in Europe is marked by an all-action stunt video,3 which shows the vehicle leaping from a cargo plane in order to arrive on time for its European launch.

    More power to play

The biggest news for performance fans is the introduction of an all-new twin-turbo 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 petrol engine tuned by Ford Performance to produce a targeted 288PS and 491Nm of torque.1

The twin-turbo 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 engine boasts a compacted graphite-iron cylinder block, which is around 75 per cent stronger and up to 75 per cent stiffer than the iron used in traditional castings. Ford Performance ensured the engine delivers immediate response to throttle inputs, and a race-bred anti-lag system similar to that first seen on the Ford GT road car and Focus ST enables rapid delivery of boost on demand.

The new anti-lag system, available in Baja mode, keeps the turbochargers spinning for up to three seconds after the driver backs off the throttle, allowing for faster resumption of acceleration out of corners or through the gears when the driver steps back on the accelerator. In addition, the engine is programmed with an individual turbocharging boost profile for each of the advanced 10-speed automatic transmission’s gears, for optimised performance.

“The 3.0-litre engine brings a different dynamic to the Ranger Raptor that will satisfy even the most hardcore performance enthusiast,” Burn said. “The acceleration and raw performance of the new powertrain leave you grinning from ear-to-ear.”

Ranger Raptor’s new powertrain delivers effortless acceleration on gravel, dirt, mud and sand. To match this comprehensive performance, an electronically‑controlled active exhaust system amplifies the engine note in four selectable modes enabling Ranger Raptor to adapt its vocal character.

Drivers can choose their preferred engine sound by pressing a button on the steering wheel, or by selecting a drive mode that uses one of the following settings:

    • Quiet – prioritises quietness over performance and sound to keep the peace with neighbours on early mornings
    • Normal – intended for everyday use, this profile offers an exhaust note with presence while not being too loud for street use. This profile is applied by default to Normal, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, and Rock Crawl drive modes
    • Sport – offers a louder and more dynamic note
    • Baja – the most striking exhaust profile in both volume and note, in Baja mode the exhaust behaves more like a straight-through system. Intended for off-road use only.

The current 2.0-litre EcoBlue bi‑turbo diesel engine will continue to be available in the Next-Gen Ranger Raptor from 2023, with further details available closer to launch.

    Hardware for heavy hitters

The Next-Gen Ranger Raptor has a unique chassis when compared to the all-new Ranger. A series of Raptor-specific mounts and reinforcements for elements including the C-pillar, load box and spare wheel, as well as unique frames for the jounce bumper, shock tower and rear shock bracket all combine to ensure Next-Gen Ranger Raptor can handle punishing off-road conditions.

A high-performance off-roader like the Ranger Raptor needs the running gear to match, so Ford engineers completely redesigned the suspension. All-new tough yet lightweight aluminium upper and lower control arms, long‑travel front and rear suspension and a refined Watt’s link rear end have been designed to deliver more control across rough terrain at high speed.

“The suspension upgrades in the Ranger Raptor make the most of the new FOX® Live Valve dampers. The suspension adapts in real-time to enable exceptional on-road body control while absorbing corrugations and bigger ruts off-road with ease, ensuring maximum control and performance,” Burn said.

The next-generation FOX® 2.5-inch Live Valve internal bypass shock absorbers feature cutting-edge control technology offering position-sensitive damping capability. These shock absorbers are the most sophisticated ever fitted to Ranger Raptor and are filled with Teflon™‑infused oil that reduces friction by around 50 per cent compared to those on the outgoing vehicle.

While the hardware is FOX®, the tuning and development work was carried out by Ford Performance using a mixture of computer-aided engineering and real-world testing. Everything from adjusting the spring rates to setting the ride height, valve tuning and honing the ride zones was performed to create the perfect balance between comfort, control, stability and traction on- and off-road.

Linked to Ranger Raptor’s revised selectable drive modes,2 the Live Valve internal bypass system has been developed to provide better on-road comfort and off-road ride quality both at high and low speed.

In addition to working with the drive modes, the system works in the background to prepare Next-Gen Ranger Raptor for different conditions. As the shocks compress, different zones within the bypass system give exactly the amount of support needed for the travel being used, and work in reverse as the shocks rebound back to full height.

To provide protection against severe bottom outs, race-proven FOX® Bottom-Out Control provides maximum damping force in the last 25 per cent of shock travel. Similarly, the system can stiffen the rear dampers to prevent Ranger Raptor from squatting under hard acceleration, improving vehicle stability. With the shocks providing the right amount of damping force at every position, Ranger Raptor stays planted on both the road and track.

Ranger Raptor’s ability to tackle rough terrain is further enhanced with some serious underbody protection. The front bash plate is almost double the size of the standard Next‑Gen Ranger’s unit and is made from 2.3mm-thick high-strength steel. This plate, combined with the engine undershield and transfer case shield, is designed to protect key components such as the radiator, steering system, front crossmember, engine sump and front differential.

Twin rated tow hooks at the front and rear provide flexible recovery options while driving off‑road; the design facilitates access to one of the tow hooks if the other is buried, as well as enabling the use of balance straps during snatch recoveries in deep sand or thick mud.

    All-terrain control

For the first time, Ranger Raptor gets an advanced full-time four-wheel drive system with an all‑new electronically‑controlled on-demand two-speed transfer case, combined with front and rear locking differentials – a valuable feature for hardcore off-road enthusiasts.

“While Ranger Raptor was inspired by desert racers, it’s also a supremely capable overlanding vehicle. Out of the box we’ve created an off-road vehicle that you don’t need to modify to get you where you need to go and back again safely,” Burn said.

Helping Next-Gen Ranger Raptor handle anything from smooth roads to mud and ruts, plus everything in between, are seven selectable drive modes,2 including the off-road oriented Baja mode, which configures the vehicle’s electronic systems for ultimate performance during high-speed off‑roading.

“We really wanted Baja mode to be the ultimate expression of the high-speed off‑road capability,” Burn said. “It’s a feature at the core of what the Ranger Raptor customer expects.”

Each selectable drive mode adjusts a number of elements from engine and transmission to ABS sensitivity and calibration, traction and stability controls, exhaust valve actuation, steering and throttle response. In addition, the gauges, vehicle information and colour themes on the instrument cluster and centre touchscreen change with the selected drive mode.2

    On-road

    • Normal – designed for comfort and fuel efficiency
    • Sport – more responsive for spirited on-road driving
    • Slippery – for more confident driving on slippery or uneven surfaces

    Off-road

    • Rock crawl – for optimum control in very low speed driving over extreme rocky and uneven terrain
    • Sand – optimises gearchanges and power delivery for progress in sand and deep snow
    • Mud/Ruts – for maximum grip during launch and maintaining vehicle momentum
    • Baja – sets all systems to maximum attack for peak high-speed off-road performance

Next-Gen Ranger Raptor also features Trail Control™, which is like cruise control for off‑roading. 2 The driver simply selects a set speed below 20mph and the vehicle will manage its acceleration and braking while the driver concentrates on steering through difficult terrain.

    Tough and athletic

Matching the enhanced capability of Ranger Raptor is an all-new look that builds on Next‑Gen Ranger’s bold, strong style. Flared wheel arches and C-clamp headlight designs emphasise the pick‑up’s width, while bold F-O-R-D lettering on the grille and the tough separate bumper add more visual muscle.

“Everything designed for the Ranger Raptor is there for a reason,” said Dave Dewitt, Ranger Raptor exterior design manager. “We’re communicating what Raptor can do just by the way it looks.”

The matrix LED headlights with LED daytime running lights push Ranger Raptor’s lighting performance to new levels, featuring predictive curve lights, glare-free high beam and auto dynamic levelling to deliver better visibility for Ranger Raptor drivers and other road users.

The flared fenders cover muscular 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Raptor-exclusive performance all‑terrain tyres. Functional vents, aero features and tough, grippy cast-aluminium side steps help enhance the look and functionality of the truck. At the rear, LED taillights provide a signature styling link to the front, while the Precision Grey rear bumper features an integrated step pad and towbar that is tucked up high to avoid compromising the departure angle.

Inside, the theme continues to emphasise Ranger Raptor’s off-road performance and high‑energy nature. The cabin features all-new, jet fighter-inspired sports seats in the front and rear to increase comfort and offer more support during high-speed cornering.

The Code Orange accents on the instrument panel, trim and seats are mirrored by Ranger Raptor’s ambient lighting, which bathes the interior in an amber glow. A premium leather sports heated steering wheel with thumb swells, on-centre marking and cast-magnesium paddle shifters completes the sporty feel.

    Ford Ranger Rraptor Interior (2023)

Occupants will also benefit from the latest digital technology; the high‑tech cabin features a 12.4‑inch all-digital cluster and 12-inch centre touchscreen boasting Ford’s new-generation SYNC 4A® connectivity and entertainment system4 that delivers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ compatibility at no extra cost.5 A 10-speaker B&O® sound system6 provides the soundtrack to your next adventure.

Part of the Ford Performance family

The roots of the Raptor name lie in North America, where Ford has used it on high‑performance pick-up trucks and utility vehicles since the first-generation F-150 SVT Raptor, which was optimised for high-speed off-road performance. The Ford Performance-developed Ranger Raptor expanded the Raptor badge to other global markets in 2018, including to a new audience of hardcore off‑road truck fans in Europe.

More recently, Ford Performance has announced the Bronco Raptor performance SUV and limited-edition Bronco DR desert racer in North America. Ford also recently proved its rugged racing credentials in the FIA World Rally Championship’s electrified era; nine‑time champion Sébastien Loeb and co‑driver Isabelle Galmiche took victory at the iconic Monte Carlo Rally in the M‑Sport Ford Puma Hybrid Rally1 car.

The all-new Ranger Raptor continues this legacy, with a purpose‑built vehicle that balances daily duties with performance never before seen in a pick-up of Ranger’s size.

“We knew that customers would expect improved performance with the Next-Gen Ranger Raptor, but I’m not sure they’re really expecting the enormous leap we’ve made. It’s a seriously fun truck to drive and I think the raw performance is going to blow them away,” Burn said.

  • Special Ram 1500 Edition Celebrates the Rangers [VIDEO]

Ram 1500 Texas Ranger Concept Side ViewDodge is one of the most popular American brands that has produced the famous 707HP Hellcat. It is also the main manufacturer of all Ram vehicles. The range of the latter has been expanded by the addition of the Ram 1500 Texas Ranger Concept. The truck is a creative result of company’s collaboration with the law-enforcement agency and the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum. It aims to bring the iconic Rangers’ spirit onto the road.

The vehicle was introduced at the 2015 Dallas Auto Show, and this is where it wowed the public with its exterior and interior characteristics. The celebration of the Rangers can be seen via the emblematic silver Lone Star Ranger badge and it can be found both inside and out.

The exterior of this Texas Ranger concept has everything typical for the brand. However, there are some accents like the badging (different from the one mentioned above). It was designed to be an example of the Mexican five-peso coins from which Ranger badges are made.

The next big thing (literally) about this concept vehicle is its wheels. They come in the size of 20 inches and are made of polished-aluminum. Milled-aluminum Texas Ranger center cap is making a strong accent on them. At last, the truck comes in a two-tone exterior paint scheme: Bright White and Bright Silver Metallic.

Stepping inside, one sees the same Ranger design cues everywhere. First, there is this Canyon Brown and Tan leather. It is highlighted by tooled-metal details and one-off Texas Ranger edition accents. To name some, Mexican five-peso silver coins are inlaid within the door bolsters, while the steering wheel is accentuated by milled-aluminum, features distressed-finish Ram badge and tan accent “X” stitching.

Ram Texas Ranger edition will travel around Texas with the purpose to expand the awareness for the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame and Museum. This means that Dodge has no future plans of making this truck a production version. So sad, isn’t it?

  • Ford Introduces Ranger Facelift with 90 Seconds Video

Ford Ranger Facelift Front and Side View2015 Ford Ranger Facelift has been revealed via 90 secinds film on company’s official YouTube channel. Basically, everything that one needs to know is on display in this video. The sad news is that this pick up will be distributed only in Asia Pacific, South Africa, Europe, and Latin America, so North American fans won’t have the advantage of owning it. It is definitely an advantage to have the Ranger facelift and there are several reasons for that.

First, Ford calls this pick up tough and smart because it combines robust capability, craftsmanship and advanced technology. It has a brand new front end that is stylish and more modern-looking, and it also features an updated interior with smart, functional and practical equipment. The bold looking exterior of this Ranger is due to the more muscular-like hood that seamlessly flows into a strong new trapezoidal grille. In its sides are positioned the new projector headlamps.

Secondly, the updates throughout the exterior are continued inside. For instance, horizontal lines run across the width of the cab and frame the central eight-inch touchscreen. The dual-TFT instrument cluster will deliver important data about the vehicle, entertainment, navigation and climate control.

Next, the capability of the vehicle is not only due to its dimensions, but also due to the robust electronically controlled transfer case which allows a shift between 4×4 to 4×2 mode, and the opposite. This happens effortlessly via knob on the center console.

Furthermore, advanced technology is also featured in abundance here. We have the SYNC 2 in-car connectivity system, the eight-inch touchscreen, the 240-volt power socket and many more. Driver assist features such as Lane Keeping Alert and Lane Keeping Aid, Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Alert as well as Front and Rear Park Assist will additionally help the person behind the steering wheel.

At last but not least, the Ranger can show-off with impressive power, payload and towing capacity. There are four engines to choose from and all are mated to either a six-speed automatic or manual transmission.

At the top of the range sits the 3.2-liter Duratorq five-cylinder TDCi diesel unit. Its efficiency has been improved by 18 percent, while the horsepower remains at its best: 200 kW (147 kW). Thee torque is rated at 470 Nm (347 lb-ft).

The next two powerplants are the 2.2-liter Duratorq four-cylinder TDCi diesel and the 2.2-liter petrol engine, that generate 160 hp (118 kW) and 385 Nm (284 lb-ft) of torque. The last engine is the 2.5-liter Duratec petrol one generating 166 hp (122 kW) and 225 Nm (166 lb-ft) of torque.
