  • Prindiville Electric Hummer Limited Edition

    Prindiville Electric Hummer Limited Edition is UK’s first customized luxury electric vehicle (EV). It is going to be produced in only 25 units. This EV has been designed for daily city commuter transport, commercial fleets, or businesses. In particular it was constructed on an intelligent lightweight chassis.

    The Electric Hummer is powered by lithium-ion 72V drive system, which is linked to a two-speed transmission. The in-built drive system includes a fully integrated AC Brushless Motor powered by a lithium-iron phosphate battery pack for fast acceleration and a range of up to 60 miles (97 kilometres) on a full charge.

    The ride comfort is provided by the fully adjustable four-wheel front and rear suspension, as well as adaptive rear drums and hydraulic front disc brakes.

    The exterior of this model is in white-metallic and in addition includes carbon fibre detailing across the front hood storage compartment and flared wheel arches. The latter are flanked by the familiar chrome louver grille, steel plates, matt black window surrounds, and 15 or 18-inch alloy wheels.

    Added safety comes courtesy of lockable double-skinned driver and passenger doors, and injection moulded LED front headlamps and rear taillights.

    The interior on the other hand includes heated sports seats lined with alcantara and an elegant white trim.This is complemented by an LCD digital dash display indicating remaining battery power and speed amongst other key system functions, a twin cup holder, in addition to a Pioneer™ CD radio and MP3 in-car entertainment system complete with a slimline remote control.

    The Limited Edition Prindiville Electric Hummer has a starting price of £25 000 or $40 000.

  • An Electric DeLorean DMC-12?

    DeLorean-DMC-12-Electric-thumbDeLorean-DMC-12-Electric-mediumThe DeLorean DMC-12 – your favorite time traveling machine – might end up back… to the future (bad pun intended). A US-based British businessperson has taken up reincarnating the Hollywood icon but not in the way you might be expecting him to do.

    More than 80% of the original car will remain in it’s original form. No ridiculously named paint jobs then. Good. The other 20% that will have to go however, account for the engine and the suspension. “Good again”, you might think. The DMC-12‘s feeble oily bits were the main reason why the whole thing flopped commercially. But will an all-electric powertrain be any better? What we are promised here is power equal to 200 hp and a 60 mph acceleration of 4.9 seconds. That’s time bending when you consider that the electric DeLorean will weigh with around 90 kg more because of the batteries. It’s weight distribution also sounds wobbly – 35/65 front to back.

    Inside the DMC-12 will be generally refurbished and “connected” to the present world with an iPhone docking station – appealing… But let’s not jump on the hate bandwagon and wait until the release which will be sometime next year. If all works out fine, the reborn DeLorean DMC-12 might just be the greatest geek investment in the world.

  • Prindiville Design Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

    Prindiville Design has relaunched in flamboyant style with a range of stylish visual tuning packages and performance enhancements for three of today’s most iconic cars – the Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari 458 and Range Rover Evoque.

    On Focus we have the tuned Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 coming with new body panels offering weight savings of up to 65% compared with standard items. There is also a new two-tone exterior finish.

    The Aventador is powered by a 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 with 700PS (515 kW) and 690Nm (509 lb-ft). It is further boosted by Prindiville with a new titanium sports exhaust system, which is also 80% lighter than the factory version. There are also a new high-flow induction system and of course an ECU re-map.

    The interior can be trimmed however an owner desires. There is a wide choice of luxurious leathers and other lavish upholstery materials, available in an exciting palette of colours.
