TFLtruck names Ram and Jeep winners of Gold Winch Awards!

The Fast-Lane Truck (TFLtruck) has named two FCA vehicles as winners of the 2020 Gold Winch Awards. The first is the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, which has earned the Gold Winch award as the Best Mid-Size Off-Road truck of the year. The second vehicle is the 2020 Ram Power Wagon and it has managed to earn Gold Winch awards as the Best Heavy Duty Off-Road truck of the year.

For Gold Winch Evaluations, TFLtruck’s editors tested vehicle on demanding paths in Colorado, reaching high elevations with terrain that varies from loose gravel to rocks and snow. The Gladiator’s overall performance on-road and off-road was so smooth and flawless that it has managed to impress all of the jury members.

Judges have also recognized Power Wagon’s off-road capabilities and equipment. Especially notable were the special suspension system, the 2-ich factory lift, locking front and rear differentials, disconnecting front sway bar and the 12,000lb winch. After the votes were counted, 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and 2020 Ram Power Wagon were determined to be the winners of each respective segment.

2017 Chicago Auto Show will witness the capabilities of the almighty 2017 Ram Power Wagon

On May, 21, the latest and greatest 2017 Ram Power wagon and Ram 2500 4×4 off-road machines will make their first off-road show-off at the Chicago Auto Show in February. Also, the audience will have the chance to see brand’s best-selling Rebel model at the 2016 Overland Expo in Mormon Lake, Ariz.

As you might know, the Overland Expo draws more than 6,000 explorers and adventurers around the globe for three days of camping, workshops and outdoor activities. And what better place for Ram team to show its vehicles and their capabilities?

Ram Truck continues to create pickups in the way that matters the most to the customer. Ram 1500 EcoDiesel brought industry’s best fuel economy at 29 miles per gallon, but Ram also showed industry’s most off-road capable vehicle. This is indeed the 2017 Ram Power Wagon that caught the eye of both critics and skeptics. And for the 2017 season model year, the engineering team refreshed the monster and geared it with new exterior looks and refined interior design.

Based on the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty 4×4 Crew Cab, the Power Wagon also features numerous off-road enhancements, including a special suspension with more than two inches of lift, locking differentials and 12,000-lb. winch that ensures extra advantage over all production pickups.

And last, but not least, the 2017 Power Wagon also include the best-in-class 410hp (305kW) 6.4-liter HEMI V8 power unit.

Powerful and Confident, 2017 Ram Power Wagon is Ready For Some Off-Road Challenges

2017 Ram Power Wagon Ram continues its campaign of delivering only superior quality pickups and proves it one more time with the 2017 Power Wagon. Massive and powerful, this beast will defend brand’s positions as off-road truck leader.

Based on the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty 4×4 Crew Cab, the Power Wagon offers extended list of standard features, some drivetrain refinements as special suspension fine-tunes, locking differentials and a 12,000-lb. winch. But let’s waste no more time and see why this vehicle is so awesome.

Exterior design

Similar to the 1500 Rebel, the Power Wagon demonstrates completely redesigned grille with the well-known Billet Silver RAM letter badge. The front is further enhanced with the Black bezel bi-functional projector headlamps with LED marker lights, while the vent-stamped hood also comes with Gloss Black graphic.

Furthermore, the front and rear bumpers also received some attention. The front bumper manages to hide the 12,000-lb. winch, roller fairlead and the 125 feet of line. Cool. And at the same time the exclusive and distinctive 17-inch forged multi-surface aluminum wheels with Silver outer and Matte Black inner fit perfectly the 33-inch tires and do contribute to that massive and powerful stance.

Also, the Power Wagon is available as a Tradesman Crew Cab 4×4. This option does not include the same interior and exterior characteristics, but what it does include is the same off-road equipment.

Interior Design

The Power Wagon comes with redesigned cabin space that now includes major changes as wrapped and stitched surfaces, along with some functionality upgrades.

Vehicle’s interior comes with Diesel Gray and Black finish with Sedoso fabric inserts with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac pattern that matches Power Wagon’s actual footprint. Also, the front seats with heated feature show their distinctive and exclusive Light Slate Gray accents and of course, the notorious Ram logo.

The central stack and doors are finished in Iron Gray Metallic, while the Satin Chrome vent rings outline air output points and the cluster. The steering wheel is also wrapped in exclusive Black leather with optional heat feature. It contains Slate Gray X-stitches. Sweet.

Drivetrain system

Definitely the most important and most interesting part of the machine is the drivetrain system. And here is why. The vehicle is geared with 6.4-liter HEMI 16-valve V8 unit that produces a total of 410hp (301kW) and torque rate of 429lb-ft at 4,000 rpm. Interesting feature is the enhancement of the off-road capabilities via the unique four-wheel-drive system that intelligently responses and distributes power to all the wheels. This power unit is mated to either 66RFE six-speed automatic gearbox.

Also worth mentioning is the suspension system that includes Blistein shocks, modifier control arms, spring rates and more than two inches of lift.

On the other hand, the brake system is also impressive. The four-wheel disc brakes are now standard feature on all 2017 Ram Heavy Duty Truck models. The front rotors measure 14.17-inch inches in diameter and are clamped with dual-piston calipers. The rear rotors are 14.09 inches with dual-piston calipers.

Additional equipment

Ram Power Wagon offers some sweet and useful systems and technologies as power-folding mirrors and pwoer rear-sliding window with defrost function. Also, there is one-touch, central locking with RamBox cargo management and tailgate power locks that contribute to the overall functionality. And let’s not forget about the spray-in bedliner, LED bedlighting, front and rear par-assist system, power-adjustable pedals and remote start that are also available.

Jeep And Ram Took the Prizes at the “Mudfest” Competition

2015 Jeep Cherokee - Front Angle Jeep and Ram Truck companies took part at the 21st “Mudfest” competition, organized by the Northwest Automobile Press Association (NWAPA). Each FCA US car has won the challenges in its own category. Furthermore, 2015 Jeep Renegade was rated “Northwest Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year”. But this is not the only price, that Jeep took home.

The 2015 Jeep Renegade also took the price of the Compact Utility class and 2015 Jeep Cherokee is the winner of the Family Utility class. On the other hand, 2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel won the Pickup challenges and the 2015 Ram Power Wagon is the winner at Extreme Capability class. Look out, we are dealing with winners here!

The Jeep itself, the 2015 Renegade confidently enters the SUV family and stays true to its adventurous spirit. It comes with a wonderful capability, convenience and incredible drivetrain system. There is definitely a lot to be told for the latest family member. This model comes with improved driving dynamics, incredible fuel-efficient engines and of course, a lot of safety and technology features.

The 2015 Cherokee is definitely the ruler of the mid-sized SUVs. The Cherokee brings wonderful 4×4 capability, wonderful handling and road performance. The model is geared with numerous useful technologies, advanced safety additions and incredible capability.

Cherokee comes with two engine variations: the first one is 2.4-Liter Tigershark MultiAir2 and the second one is a 3.2-liter Pentastar V6, which includes additional technology like the Engine Stop-Start, 4×4 innovative system and of course numerous technology goodies. 2013 Dodge Ram Superman Power Wagon

Dodge has announced a new Ram Superman Power Wagon, which is prepared with the cooperation of Warner Bros.

The Ram interior and exterior design team created a special edition, one-of-a-kind “Man of Steel” Power Wagon truck with special “Man of Steel”-inspired design cues, colors and branding. The truck will make its debut June 10 in New York City at the world premiere of the movie. It will then be on display at special events throughout the summer and fall, including the National Finals Rodeo and State Fair of Texas, before being auctioned off for charity at a later date.

The Dark Ceramic Gray truck features a high-gloss black roof with Anodized Red grille accents, created from a durable 14-coat paint process. It has forged-aluminum, satin black 17” off-road wheels, Superman logos on the front grille and rear tailgate and a custom, one-off vehicle wrap inspired by the crest and texture of Superman’s suit. The wrap highlights a tone-on-tone interpretation of the iconic Superman S-shield, and helps unify themes found on the interior and exterior of the truck.

Interior includes custom mesh seat inserts reminiscent of Superman’s own suit with integrated Superman logos on the seats and console; Pewter leather seats; and Anodized Red paint trim accents on the doors, steering column, radio cluster and seats. There also is “Man of Steel” logo badging on the glove box and a “Man of Steel” screen backdrop and start-up screen on the radio cluster.
