  • Mercedes E 400 by PIECHA Design: bald and beautiful. We like it!

2018 PIECHA Mercedes-Benz E400Here’s what might well impress you: E 400 4MATIC T with finishing touches by PIECHA team. Already sounds good, right? So, let’s waste no time and dive into the latest project by the German tuner.

The tuning magicians have created a special program that would only serve the E-CLASS with AMG upgrade. This is what I call an exclusive upgrade scheme. All this means that the vehicle benefits from two-toned spoiler lip, racing flics over the two air intakers, new rocker panels and an electric trailer hitch.

    2018 PIECHA Mercedes-Benz E400

Furthermore, there are 9.0×21-inch and 10.5×21-inch PIECHA AV4 rims, wrapped by even larger The 255/30 R 21 front tires and 295/25 R 21 rear tires. But visual changes are not the only changes made – PIECHA team has done some drivetrain fine tune and changes that altogether contribute to an overall more agile and pleasurable drive. We do talk about lowering the whole height with a total of 35mm and also adding exclusive adjustable coilover springs. The best thing is that these bad boys can be further adjusted to lower the height with additional 45mm. Cool, right?

    2018 PIECHA Mercedes-Benz E400

What we do like about this whole tuning concept is that it makes a fairly unrecognizable family vehicle look simply beautiful. With all the elegant exterior touches and visual changes the vehicle instantly showcases a completely new sporty spirit. And given that the updates are only showing up for massive drivetrain upgrades, we do see the family car in a rather different light.

  • How to make your 15 year old Mercedes SL Roadster look modern

Piecha Mercedes-Benz SL R230 Roadster front viewPiecha Design offers state-of-the-art looks for the roadster

Mercedes-Benz SL R230 Roadster was introduced 15 years ago. Back then no one could ever imagine that this model would become a timeless car classic. Well, if you take a look at it, it might seem a little bit outdated, however, in terms of performance it might take a lot cars down. So, what happens if you are an owner of SL R230 roadster, you love classics, but still wish to look contemporary?

The problem can be solved immediately, if you contact Piecha Design: a studio which has just made a strong and modern package for the Mercedes. Called Avalange RS, the name is reminiscent of the SL’s motorsport roots back in the 50s. And this counts for the exterior, too.

SEE ALSO: If this Mercedes-AMG GT S could only happen…

Precisely, the rear is adorned by a DTM-like diffusor that has been integrated in a mighty rear apron with or without a lateral grid insert, as well as rear spoiler lip and four-pipe Quadro exhaust. Piecha says that the sound is a “killer”.

Piecha Mercedes-Benz SL R230 Roadster rear and side view

On the sides there is a wedge-shaped side skirt with air inlet, while the front features angular Avalange RS air dam with integrated LED DRLs. The front also sports new bumper, which looks more contemporary than ever.

The whole car has been brought closer to the ground via lowering-suspension springs and wheel spacers. But, the most important part of the Avalange is the Vario roof module. It significantly speeds up the opening grip (26 seconds now), simply by clicking the key three times. Last, but not least in every package are the wheels, which in the case of the SL Roadster are in-house made MP1-monoblock, sized at 20-inches.

Simple, but effective changes are more always more impressive, aren’t they?

  • If this Mercedes-AMG GT S could only happen…

Piecha Mercedes-AMG GT S Renderings front viewPiecha Design reveals first couple of renderings of the customized AMG GT S

Remember when we showed you the first sketch of Piecha Design’s Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S? Well, it is now time for the project to be fully revealed! Behold, for it is something entirely unexpected…

Leaving jokes aside, this car actually looks pretty good, given the fact that Marcus Piecha and his team told us initially that we should not expect an entirely new design. Their aim was to highlight the beautiful character of the Mercedes. And they have definitely achieved that.

Another advantage is that the basic shape of the car is attractive, hence it is way easier to make something look better when it is so good from the start. Anyway, this dream sports car is now taking shape and although still in a rendering form we can see some of its unique qualities.

SEE ALSO: This is how the Mercedes-AMG GT S could look, if …

In short – it is all about carbon-fiber here, exposed and unexposed. The best part of this project is probably the extra-wide rear that was designed by the owner. He actually told us that affixing it gave him some sleepless nights, because he wanted to keep the original brake wings fully operational.

Piecha Mercedes-AMG GT S Renderings rear view

Another attraction here is the slim lower “back-end” with its four-pipe exhaust with 90mm outlets. And to give you a hint of what’s next – there is new suspension on the way, which will contribute for more dramatic stance and better driving characteristics. Furthermore, we have more extra carbon-fiber goodies, including side blades and front-cup wings as well as air splitters in the front apron.

What can’t be seen in the renderings is the performance optimization that we were promised. So we should expect significant gain over the production numbers that the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT S has. Namely, 510 hp (375 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque.

“But that’s not all,” says Marcus Piecha who is most probably going to surprise us with the full release of the project very soon. Stay tuned!

  • Jaguar and Piecha team up for the release of very special F-Type Cabrio

Piecha Jaguar F-Type Cabrio side and front viewJaguar F-Type Cabrio is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful roadsters out there. As are Jaguar cars in general. And this is probably the reason why we are not seeing many tunings on it, because to change its shape would be equal to sacrilege. However, accentuating it through stylish elements might be a great idea if one wants a little more individuality to their Jag.

For this purpose there are tuning brands like Piecha design, which have specialized not only on making the Jaguar F-Type more attractive and at the same time not doing the aforementioned sacrilege.

A Modular Styling Package is Born

The modular styling pack that Piecha have developed does exactly this. But what does it feature? For the front, the tuners have developed front cup wings that are larger than the production ones. They are available in glossy exposed carbon or painted. The same applies to the aggressive side skirts.

SEE ALSO: PIECHA Design Recreates Jaguar F-Type R Coupe

The rear on the other hand includes more than enough, because it harmoniously combines vision, through the discreet rear spoiler, and sound. The latter comes from the growling exhaust system with 90 mm stainless-steel tailpipes at its ends. And by the way, the tailpipes’ finish is available in two styles: high-gloss or semi-gloss chrome-plated.

Piecha Jaguar F-Type Cabrio side view

Lowering is an important and integral part of the tuning pack, too. The individually adjustable suspension added here offers 30mm or 40mm wheel spacers and it also helps the production wheels stand out. Wait, why having production ones, when one can go for Piecha’s 20-inch MP1 Monoblock alloys in titanium or black, or even the bigger 21-inch MP5 LXM wheels in High Gloss Silver or Satin Black.

Since the F-Type is the most famous and beautiful cabrio, as we all have agreed on that, lastly the experts added in-house made roof module with controls, which can now open or close the top at the push of a button.

  • Mercedes-Benz SLC has never looked better and there is just one reason for this

Piecha Design Mercedes-Benz SLC front viewThe Mercedes SLK is celebrating this year its 20th anniversary. But this isn’t the reason why the emblematic small roadster is looking so incredibly good. Here’s the secret: to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the model, the tuning studio Piecha Design have created a brand new styling kit with exclusive design components.

The third generation (R172) is being called SLC from this year, but it doesn’t include any significant differences with its predecessor. The rear, for instance, have been just slightly modified by Mercedes. The here presented tuning however, has made the changes much more striking and racy.

SEE ALSO: Prior-Design Ferrari 458 Italia “WOWs” at Top Marques Monaco

The transformation starts with LED headlights, a diamond style radiator grill and a new front bumper. The customized springs that lower the centre of gravity by up to 25mm are another striking feature, as are the wheel spacers, the real-glass wind stop, the chrome-plated Aerowings and the alloy wheels.

Piecha Design Mercedes-Benz SLC rear view

By the way, the alloys here are the in-house made Jade R sized 19-inches and available in silver finish called “Hi Power”. At the front, the tires are of the dimension 235/35 R19, while at the back they are 275/30 R19.

Another “must-have” is Piecha’s vario roof module. What is it and how does it work? With a simple push of the button on the car remote key, one can open or close the roof of the SLC. Even more, the driver can even eliminate more air turbulences with the module by closing the rear windows while driving with an open roof. At last, there is this in-house made Power Converter, which provides a much better responsiveness of the gas pedal and more agility and fun.

    Now you know why.

  • PIECHA Design Recreates Jaguar F-Type R Coupe

2015 PIECHA Jaguar F-Type R Coupe Front ViewPIECHA Jaguar F-Type R Coupe is another fantastic tuning created by the talented specialists at the PIECHA Design studio. This tailor made performance edition of the F-Type 5.0 V8 R-Coupe looks fantastic and exudes an elegant dynamism, even at rest.

To achieve this, the tuner has added new aerodynamic styling kit made from the finest high-gloss carbon. In addition, 21-inch PIECHA MP-Y alloys in high-gloss silver finish round out the new visual appearance of the Jaguar.

    Exterior

PIECHA Jaguar F-Type R Coupe Side View

Jaguar F-Type R Coupe has a purposeful stance even without any additional changes. However, this look is emphasized via the dramatic modifications to the front and rear. Starting with the back, there is a new wide carbon diffuser with two vertical stabilizing fins. We also see satin textured bezel framing the four 90 mm exhaust tailpipes.

SEE ALSO: PIECHA with Evolutionary Design for the Jaguar F-Type

There is more to that, the rear deck also received aerodynamically optimized carbon rear wing. Its black anodized aluminum and support struts are very detailed and speak of a lot of attention given.

At the front, we see high-gloss lacquered carbon front cup wings and carbon sill wings. They give the body of the car wider, more wedge-shaped appearance. The front wings were attached to the original spoiler lip, thus making the front spoiler appear deeper.

    Suspension

PIECHA Jaguar Type R Coupe Rear View

A special lowering system was developed for this project. The bespoke height-adjustable coil-over spring setup was created to match the front end. The tuners added also new springs to the rear.

At the front, the suspension includes main spring and a helper spring separated by a threaded, height adjustable spring pan. This system provides a lowering adjustment range of between 10 and 30 mm. And this is from stock ride height.

    Wheels & Tires

The improved optics and handling, received new MP-Y high-glass silver wheels fitted with Yokohama ADVAN Sport tires. While the alloys come in 9.0 and 10.5 x 21 inch sizes, the rubbers are 255/30R21 and 295/25R21 big, respectively.

  • PIECHA with Evolutionary Design for the Jaguar F-Type

This week’s project by PIECHA Design involves the mighty Jaguar F-Type. This time under the spot isn’t the roadster but the coupe. The unique interpretation of the famous car is called “Evolution” because it brings the iconic British car to the next level. Although there isn’t any change to the 3.0-liter V6 engine, the car looks sportier than ever and creates the feeling of more athleticism.

There are several reasons for this. First of all, the motorsport expression of the Jaguar is strengthened by new aero front spoiler and side sills. In addition to this, PIECHA designed a larger rear diffuser, which was then framed by a color-coded undertray.

SEE ALSO: Tailor Made F-Type Roadster Released by PIECHA Design

It featured an extended frame to improve the stability of the car and to further reduce drag. What is more, the big exhaust outlets are accompanied by stainless steel grille inserts.

At the back, we see a three-piece integrated rear spoiler lip, which is positioned on the end of the rear hatch lid. It additionally minimizes the drag and lift over the rear axle. As an option, the tuner is also offering GT rear wing, which not only improve car’s visual stance, but also creates more downforce.

This project is all about aerodynamic enhancements. This means that it can’t go without any lowering. A set of springs drops the ride height by 30mm. This is then combined with a choice of 20 or 21-inch diameter alloys that add a wider stance to the car. At last, a more spontaneous throttle response is ensured via in-house made power converter module.

The PIECHA Design Jaguar F-Type 3.0 V6 Coupe EVOLUTION takes the owning and driving experience of this outstanding sports car to the next level. Similar upgrades for the V8 Coupe and convertible models are also available.
