Fiat Panda refreshed for model year 2021

In its 40th year on sale, the Fiat Panda is enjoying a refresh for the 2021 model year. This update also sees an overhaul of the Panda range and trim levels with the inclusion of the new Fiat Panda Sport.

A fan favorite, the Panda is still available as a 4×4 with the Fiat 0.9-litre 85hp Twinair engine. The rest of the range is available with the brand’s 1.0-litre mild hybrid unit with 70hp that debuted earlier in 2020.

Panda Life range
The new Panda Life range offers an affordable car packed with smart solutions. The entry level Panda model provides body-coloured bumpers, 14-inch steel wheels, air conditioning and DAB radio with MP3 compatibility and USB connectivity.

The Panda City Life builds on this with front fog lights, new front bumpers, a brand-new insert in the side skirts and 15-inch dark metal alloy wheels. Various black exterior elements, including the roof rack, side protection, door mirror housings and external handles, complete the look.

Inside, two-tone grey seats and an anthracite-colored dashboard complements the exterior, while the leather steering wheel and audio controls, manual air conditioning, and Uconnect system complete with DAB radio, Bluetooth, and smartphone mount installed on the dashboard complete the standard specification.

The Panda Wild 4×4 tops the Panda Life range with the same exterior and interior features as the Panda City Life, but adds all-wheel drive, rear differential gear locking, and front and rear skid plates.

Panda Sport
The Sport model joins the Panda line-up for the first time. It is instantly recognizable thanks to new 16-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, darkened rear windows, and body-colored door handles and door mirrors. A new dedicated matt grey paint is available exclusively on Panda Sport with the option to choose glossy black rooftop and door mirrors.

Inside, a titanium-colored dashboard, door panels in eco-leather, black roof and new seats with dark grey upholstery, red stitching, and eco-leather details, and techno-leather steering wheel with red stitching, complement the exterior styling.

Panda Crossrange
The Panda City Cross provides a robust exterior look coupled with features never-before-seen on Panda. On the outside, LED DRL headlights, black door mirrors, handles, roof rack, and side sills, 15-inch alloy wheels, body-colored bumpers, and skidplates complete the look, while a new ceramic blue pastel paint is available for the first time. Inside, new blue and black two-tone eco-leather upholstery on the door panels and seats with silver stitching and fabric side panels finish the look. Automatic climate control is also standard.

The new line-up is completed by the Panda Cross 4×4. Building on the Panda City Cross, the Cross 4×4 receives all terrain selector with three modes (Auto, Off-road, Hill Descent Control), all-wheel drive, rear differential gear locking and rear parking sensors. The standard specification is completed with red front tow hooks, electrically adjustable and heated body-coloured door mirrors, front and rear bumper with silver skid plates, silver side mouldings and roof rails and dark tinted rear windows. Inside, the new dashboard is made from processed waste wood, while the new black and grey two-tone seats feature fabric in the centre panel made from at least 37 per cent recycled material.

Launched in February with the Panda Hybrid Launch Edition, mild hybrid technology is now available throughout the 4×2 Panda line-up, providing all the benefits of efficient, compact, lightweight and accessible hybrid driving.

The mild hybrid petrol engine pairs the new Euro 6D Final-compliant 70hp 3-cylinder 1.0-litre engine from the FireFly family with a Belt-integrated Starter Generator (BSG) electric motor. The latter recovers energy during braking and deceleration, stores it in a lithium battery with a capacity of 11Ah, and uses it at a peak output of 3.6kW, to restart the engine in Stop&Start mode and assists acceleration. The transmission takes on the new 6-speed gearbox, designed to further optimise the engine’s range of usage.

Fiat announces details about upcoming Hybrid Launch Edition vehicles

2020 Fiat 500 and Panda Hybrid Launch Editions Pricing and details for the new Fiat 500 Mild Hybrid and Panda Mild Hybrid have been announced. Coming to showrooms in February and March 2020, both vehicles have a lot to demonstrate. Let’s check ’em out!

Fiat 500 and Panda are two iconic models that represent the urban mobility in Europe and are sold in large numbers every year – about 400,000 units each. Now, by introducing the mild-hybrid technology, 500 and Panda ensure that all benefits of efficient, compact, lightweight and accessible driving are all present in both machines.

The mild-hybrid technology

500 and Panda will be available with a new petrol mild hybrid engine that blends the latest 3-cylinder FireFly 1.0-liter power unit with a 12-volt Belt-integrated Starter Generator (BSG) electric motor and a lithium-ion battery that delivers additional 70hp (51kW).

Compared to the outgoing 1.2-liter 69hp petrol engine, the mild hybrid version ensures better fuel economy, reducing the CO2 emissions on the road by up to 30 percent without impeding performance. Furthermore, the 500 Mild Hybrid comes with emissions as low as 88g/km and the Panda as low as 89g/km. BGS system also ensures a very high standard of driving comfort due to the BSG system, allowing for a quiet and vibration-free restart of the internal combustion engine in Stop and Go mode.

Additionally, the new 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder engine has a peak output of 70hp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 92Nm at 3,500rpm. What is special about this system is that the cylinder head has two valves per cylinder and a single camshaft with continuously variable timing. This structure includes a compact combustion chamber, high-tumble intake ducts, and external Exhaust Gas Recirculation, which altogether provide a high compression ratio of 12:1.

The BSG system is mounted directly on the power unit and is operated by the by the belt that also drives the auxiliaries. This entire setup helps for recovering energy during braking and deceleration, storing it in the lithium-ion battery and using it for additional mileage coverage and power output.

The special series can be recognized by the “Hybrid” logo on the rear and exclusive “H” logo, formed by two dew drops, on the central panel. The new exclusive “Dew Green” exterior finish is also present with the new editions.

In fact, these Launch Edition models are the first in the automobile sector to be made of Seaqual Yarn, the weaving of which produces a special material, certified by Seaqual, derived from recycled plastic, 10 percent from the sea and 90 from the land. Also, Seaqual Yarn is produced by transforming the plastic collected from the sea into flakes of polyethylene terephthalate. These flakes are then used in the yarn from which the fabrics are made. In the weaving phase, marine polyester is mixed with other natural and recycled fibers. This process is completed by the application of dyes and finishes that minimize the use of water and energy.

Fiat presents first details about the upcoming 500 and Panda Hybrids!

2020 Fiat Panda and 500 Hybrid editions Fiat 500 and Fiat Panda will be the first FCA models to adopt the brand’s new hybrid technology. 500 Mild Hybrid and Panda Mild Hybrid will make the system accessible to all and will arrive in UK showrooms in February and March 2020 respectively.

Both new entries will provide efficient and lightweight hybrid driving. And both will be available with a new petrol engine that blends the output of the latest 3-cylinder FireFly 1.0-liter power with a 12-volt BSG electric motor and lithium battery that delivers a total of 70hp.

Compared to the outgoing 1.2-liter 69hp petrol unit, the mild hybrid version improves fuel efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions with up to 30 percent without impeding performance. It also ensures a high standard of driving comfort thanks to the BSG system, which allows a quiet and vibration-free ride.

The engine itself, the 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder has a peak output of 70hp at 6000rpm and peak torque of 92Nm at 3,500rpm. The cylinder head has two valves per cylinder and a single camshaft with continuous variable valve timing. This structure includes a compact combustion chamber, high-tumble intake ducts, and external Exhaust Gas Recirculation. Furthermore, the combustion engine is capable to switch off at speeds below 18mph.

The special series will be recognized by the “Hybrid” logo on the rear and the exclusive “H” logo, formed by two dew drops, on the central panel. Additionally, there’s a new and exclusive “Dew Green” exterior that suits both models with the themes of nature and innovation. The Launch Editions also feature interior components, comprised of recycled plastic.

Fiat and Panda remain the Fiat icons that represent the urban mobility in Europe and now with the introduction of their hybrid variants, the popularity of both vehicles is expected to hit new heights.

Both Launch Editions can be ordered from January at Fiat retailers and the first deliveries will arrive in the first quarter of 2020.

Fiat and Trussardi team up in order to present new Panda Trussardi lineup

2019 Fiat Panda Trussardi Edition Fiat team has partnered with the prominent Italian Fashion house Trussardi in order to create the “Panda Trussardi” lineup of vehicles. These exclusive limited edition machines bring together the two brands and showcase how art and engineering can merge together in a rather stylish manner.

Fiat Centro Stile and Trussardi designers have collaborated on the design and accessories in order to reflect the character of Panda and the notable Italian fashion house signature tweaks. The Trussardi Greyhound symbol can be seen on the rear quarter light, on the center of the exclusive alloy wheels and on the side mouldings while other exclusive styling details, as the black roof bars, mirror caps, wheels and skid plate are covered in black and set the model apart from its siblings. Additionally, the exclusive model can be specified with a Caffe Italiano Brown body finish. Sweet!

2019 Fiat Panda Trussardi Edition

In terms of interior, Trussardi letterings can be seen on the exclusive mats, seat belts, door panel inserts and on the seat upholstery. There are black techno-leather seat inserts embellished with brown stitching and sporty Caffe Italiano Brown dashboard. The beautiful Trussardi logo can also be seen on the center of the exclusive steering wheel.

And as it comes to drivetrain system, Panda Trussardi features 69hp 1.2-liter petrol unit, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The vehicle also comes with a City Brake Control system, which detects obstacles in the front of the vehicle and automatically engages the brakes if the driver doesn’t respond when the vehicle travels under 18mph.

All-new Fiat Panda Cross 4×4

The 2014 Fiat Panda was officially revealed at the 2014 Geneva motor show in March. In fact, the Panda Cross is based on the Panda 4×4 model. Now the Italian manufacturer offers some new technological upgrades, which make this off-road mini more capable and really fun to drive.

The upgrades for the new Fiat Panda Cross include : “Torque-on-Demand” all-wheel drive system, Electronic Stability control, Electronic Locking differential and Hill Descent control as standard.

Above are complemented by new plastic-cladded front and rear bumper, metal skid plates front and rear, redesigned fog lights and LED daytime running lights. There are also roof bars and plastic-cladded side sills and wheelarches.

The engine range is also updated : the TwinAir petrol 0.9-liter two-cylinder turbo engine with power of 89hp (66kw), or a 1.3-liter MultiJet turbo diesel with power of 79hp (60kw). The petrol engine is connected with a six-speed manual gearbox and five-speed gearbox for the turbo diesel respectively.

The MultiJet turbo diesel is more economical to run with claimed fuel consumption of 4.7l/100km,while the TwinAir engine consumes 4.9l/100km.

The interior is also consistent with the overall performance of the vehicle. The seats are decorated in bespoke natural fabric with brown eco-leather bolsters. The center console and the dashboard are finished in a new silver “ultrashine” as the surround and audio system details.

The standard equipment of the Fiat Panda Cross includes : automatic climate control; Blue&Me™ Bluetooth connectivity with a USB port and steering wheel controls; a satellite navigation dock; heated electric door mirrors; remote central locking; split rear seat with rear head restraints; height-adjustability for the driver’s seat and steering wheel; front fog lights; a leather steering wheel and gear knob; ESC system complete with ELD (Electronic Locking Differential)and Terrain Control and specific 15-inch alloy wheels with a burnished finish and all-season 185/65R15 M+S tyres.

The 2014 Fiat Panda Cross goes on sale in the end of 2014. The expected price is less than £ 17,000 (€21.500).

An Adventure: Fiat Panda 4×4 Antartica From Turin To Sochi

Fiat-Panda-4x4-Antartica-To-Sochi-shadow The “Panda to Sochi” project is happening right now as we speak. Fiat, in collaboration with Vice Media and a couple more sponsors, is sending a team of four to Casa Italia, Sochi (Russia) in a Panda. That is, Fiat Freestyle Team riders Stefano Munari – star of Italian snowboarding – and Stefan Lantschner, a BMX talent from the Alto Adige area, together with Markus Keller, the famous Nitro team rider who will take turns with Dmitri Sartor during the trip. Gersin Livia Paya, editor of Vice completes the quartet.

Before their final destination, the team will stop by in 16 different European locations. They will shed some light on the diverse cultures along the way. A team of photographers and videomakers will also join in, immortalising the crew’s tricks and manoeuvres at characteristic landmark sites such as Dracula’s castle in Transylvania, the Potëmkin Stairs in the Ukraine, or Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva.

The Fiat used is no ordinary Panda as well. It’s a 4×4 Antartica special edition. It carries a TwinAir Turbo 0.9 petrol engine which yields 85 hp. Antartica specific features include a white and black roof, 15-inch alloy wheels in grey diamond finish, orange hub caps, fog lights, tinted rear and back windows and a badge on the cnetral pillar that serves as an identifier. 175/65 R15 84T M+S Winter Snow Flake tires go on all four wheels as standard – good not only for snow and ice but also dirt roads and general low-grip surfaces. A lot of software also ensure save travels: a torque on demand drive system, an Electronic Stability Control, and an Electronic Locking Differential

Inside, the Antartica showcases an overwhelming theme of orange and grey fabric (most of it eco-leather). A 3-seater rear seat with 60/40 folding backrest and height-adjustable driver’s seat offers adequate comfort and versatility.

The team team should also arrive in Sochi with their spines intact since the Antartica sits on a revised MacPharson independent suspension at the front and a interconnected wheel with torsion beam at the rear.

Novitec 2012 Fiat Panda – Clever and Sporty

Novitec has announced their latest project, which is based on the new Fiat Panda. The 2012 model is completely different than the previous version and the tuning company had a lot of work make it even more special.

The Novitec Panda comes with a new front spoiler, which can be attached to the production fascia – €184. There is also a new rear spoiler – €150.

The small car rolls big 7.5J x 17” N10 wheels finished in matt-black or silver. They are wrapped with 215/35 R17 tires in order to fit in the arcs. The price for the set is – €1,106.

The suspension can be fitted with coilover kit, which can be adjusted, so the ride can be lowered between 30 and 80 millimeters. The cheaper variant is a set of sport springs -35mm.

The final touch of the exterior is a sport rear muffler that has a one-round 90mm tailpipe on both sides – €251.

The performance of the small two-cylinder TwinAir gasoline engine is boosted to 99HP (73 kW). 0-100 km/h in 10.1 seconds and a top speed of 188 km/h (117 mph). The power kit is €419.

The diesel variant – 1.3 16V MultiJet can be boosted to 91HP (67 kW). 0-100 km/h in 11.9 seconds and a top speed of 178 km/h (110 mph). Price – €335.

2013 Fiat Panda 4×4 debuts in Paris

2013 Fiat Panda 4×4 is the only A segment four-wheel drive model, which is going to make its first world appearance at the international Paris Motor Show. This third-generation four-wheel drive Panda is the perfect interpretation of the heritage of the emblematic car, and now offers great off-road capabilities with a refined design and efficient architecture.

The new Fiat model is with five doors, 368 centimetres long, 167 centimetres wide and 160 centimetres high. The designers made the car with purely functional design features, and added small details which express sophisticated multifunctional mini SUV.

The strong presence this car conveys is thanks to the geometric lines of the front and rear bumpers. In addition, the tailpipes follow the lines of the body thus offering complete protection for the lower part of the car.

Furthermore, the existing color palette range is now further enhanced by two new colors: Sicilia orange (pastel) and Toscana green (metallic).

The interior of the new Panda adds new styles as well. Some important innovations were included: a new green fascia variant framing the instruments and the large storage pocket, fabric seats with a special design in three color variant (green, beige, orange) and eco-leather details, front and rear door panels also with eco-leather inserts and a high console over the central tunnel.

One of the important highlights around this new model is the “Torque on demand” transmission system. It comes with two differentials and electronically controlled coupling. In particular, this is a permanent four-wheel drive system which is monitored by an electronic control unit.

The latter analyses vehicle signals, distributes traction on the front and rear axle homogenously and proportionally according to road grip conditions. And why it is beneficial? It is because it allows entirely automatic operation and no maintenance.

Moreover, as a standard the Panda 4×4 includes the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) system with ELD (Electronic Locking Differential) function. What it does is basically to provide more assistance while driving and setting off uphill on slippery terrain.

Next, Start&Stop function is featured in both two engine versions. They are namely the new 85 hp (63 kW) 0.9 TwinAir Turbo and the 75 hp (55 kW) 1.3 MultiJet II diesel. They are mated to a six-speed gearbox.

The suspension system here is also unique. It ensures all typically 2WD features such as passenger comfort, handling, road hold and safety, and at the same time delivers better characteristics for tackling any type of terrain.

An independent MacPherson arrangement at the front was engaged as well as an interconnected wheel with torsion beam layout at the rear. This means that the rear suspension is now lighter and offers better ride and acoustic comfort.

The equipment featured in the car is more than satisfying. It includes ESC system with ELD, manual climate control system, CD/MP3 radio, 15″ burnished alloy rims, 175/65 R15 M+S tyres, electric rear-view mirrors, central locking system with remote control and rear head restraints. A vast range of optional equipment and accessories is also available.

2012 Fiat Panda Van – Price €8 850

Fiat has revealed their 2012 Panda Van. The vehicle combines performance, handling and car-like comfort with generous, easy loading, and the reliability and low operating costs, typical of a commercial vehicle.

Produced at the Giambattista Vico plant in Pomigliano d’Arco (Naples), the most compact commercial vehicle for Fiat Professional is the perfect answer for those who spend long hours driving or need to make deliveries, such as postal services, maintenance, service companies, craftsmen, etcetera.

The vehicle can be ordered without a rear bench to enable the cargo compartment to hold more than 1000 liters of luggage. An “easy floor” feature des a flat loading surface and under floor storage.

The engine range includes a 1.2-liter Fire with 69HP (51 kW) and 102Nm of torque. There is also a 1.3 liter Multijet diesel with 75HP (55 kW) and 190Nm (140 lb-ft), which is not only faster, but more efficient.

The safety includes an excellent performance braking system with ABS complete with BAS (Brake Assist System), four standard airbags (front and side), an front seatbelts with pretensioners and force limiters load.

Furthermore, depending on the market and version, is available as standard or optional ESC (Electronic Stability Control) including hill-holder system that helps the driver on hill starts keeping locked the brakes for about 2 seconds, thus facilitating the re-start .

2012 Fiat Panda Van will hit the market in the next months at a competitive price of €8 850 for the entry level vehicle.

2012 Fiat Panda – Price £8900 OTR

2012 Fiat Panda - Side Angle Fiat has announced the price list for the new 2012 5-door Panda. It starts at just £8900 OTR as the price goes up to £12 250 for the top-of-range Fiat Panda Lounge 1.3 Multijet 75PS that includes air conditioning, roof rails, Start&Stop and alloy wheels as standard.

The engine range includes 69PS 1.2-litre petrol, 85PS 0.9-litre TwinAir, and 75PS 1.3-litre MultiJet 2 turbodiesel, the new Fiat Panda can be ordered in three different trim levels – Pop, Easy and Lounge.

Standard equipment in the entry level Pop includes electric windows, central locking, Dualdrive electric power steering, four airbags and body colour bumpers. The extensive options list includes ESP, roof rails and black pastel paint.

Easy trim versions add remote central locking, air conditioning, roof rails and a higher grade audio system, while Lounge additionally receives heated electric mirrors, 15” alloy wheels, front fog lamps, body coloured mirrors and door handles, and side mouldings.

Safety is of course top of the agenda with up to six airbags, double seatbelt pretensioners, an active anti-whiplash head restraint system, and available ESP. In addition, a new Low Speed Collision Mitigation system will become available for the first time. This uses a laser sensor on the windscreen to scan a space a short distance in front of the vehicle to determine the risk of a collision. It is capable of automatically activating emergency braking at speeds less than 30km/h (18.6mph).

A vast list of available options will allow customers to specify a car to suit their own needs and, with a huge choice of 10 exterior colours and six interior/dashboard combinations, everyone will be able to create their own special Panda.

The new 2012 Fiat Panda is a continuation of an invention has its 31-year successful history. Now the third generation of the Panda model springs forth from this heritage. It offers more quality in terms of space, comfort, functionality, technology and safety features. In addition it combines the best features of the first- and second-generation cars. The car will definitely bring satisfaction to customers who want to combine the practical handling of a city car with the space and comfort of a five-door compact car. All this is further improved by the modern and harmonious appearance of the Panda.

Now the third generation Panda has enhanced each of its elements both functionally and with attention to every detail. The result is of great overall harmony, due to applying signs consistent with one another that increase its usability and pleasing design values. First of all, the new car makes maximum use of the interior space, rationalising the dimensions. Nevertheless the car continues to be a very compact one but with slight grow with a few centimetres. This will unquestioningly ensure the attainment of the highest standards of safety and improve the generous level of passenger room.

We are speaking here about a length of 365 centimetres, a width of 164 and a height of 155, and with five doors. In this way the new Panda can comfortably accommodate up to five people. Moreover it has one of the most spacious boots in its segment: 225 litres which become 260 with the sliding rear seat in the fully forward position up to the point of reaching 870 litres with the backrest of the rear seats folded down. The new Fiat Panda conveys freshness and appeal in addition to a strong “Italian style” that makes it instantly recognisable from the very first glance: the slightly convex bonnet joins with the elegant horizontal grille and the new front headlamps with are made this time with rounded shape. Additionally to the interior has been added few graphic patterns which are decorating the door panels and roof of the car.

The Fiat Panda offers maximum freedom of use with its roomy, functional and comfortable passenger compartment that is in no way inferior to that of cars of a higher class. Besides, flexibility has always been one of the model’s strong points, as the new dashboard, various seat configurations and large number of storage compartments. First of all, the new dashboard is designed as a practical multipurpose shell containing a roomy storage “pocket”. Additionally there is a classic glovebox stored in the lower part of the dashboard. To be more precise the dashboard is wrapped up in a colourful frame, radio and main controls. Furthermore is something new around the seats, which make the model more flexible. Firstly, the driver’s seat is available with height adjustment, whereas the front passenger seat can be fitted with a backrest that folds down to form a table. Next, the rear seat is available in the standard 2-seater version with fold-down split backrest or, upon request, in the configurations: 2 seats sliding longitudinally with fold-down 50/50 split backrest, 3 seats with fold-down backrest and 3 seats with fold-down 60/40 split backrest.

The new Panda includes innovative features that simplify and improve life on-board accessible to everyone. Specifically, the vehicle offers sophisticated technological solutions: the “Low Speed Collision Mitigation” braking system and the “Blue&Me TomTom 2 LIVE” navigation system. Furthermore it also includes features such as Start&Stop, Gear Shift Indicator (GSI), ecoDrive and ECO mode of the TwinAir Turbo engine.

What has to be highlighted in this new Panda are the brand new two-cylinder engines equipped with the Start&Stop system as standard: 85 HP 0.9 TwinAir Turbo, named “International Engine of the Year 2011”, and the brand new 65 HP 0.9 aspirated TwinAir, adopted for the first time. The renewed 69 HP 1.2 Fire petrol engine and the 75 HP 1.3 Multijet II, also with Start&Stop supplied standard, complete the range of engines.

To go further into details, the 85 HP 0.9 TwinAir Turbo is the first of a new family of two-cylinder engines developed by Fiat Powertrain This 0.9 TwinAir Turbo engine develops 85 HP (63 kW) at 5500 rpm of full power and a torque of 145 Nm/107 lb-fr at 1900 rpm (constant up to 3000 rpm). Moreover, if you prefer to be “eco” friendy and lower the fuel consumption, you can press the ECO key on the dashboard to limit torque to 100 Nm/74 lb-ft at 2000 rpm. This engine records 4.2 litres/100 km and CO₂emission equal to 99 g/km in the combined cycle. No surprise it was the “International Engine of the Year 2011”. Next is the 65 HP 0.9 aspirated TwinAir. Interesting here is that this is Fiats world debut in the “aspirated” version of the TwinAir engine that delivers maximum power of 65 HP (48 kW) at 6250 rpm and a torque of 88 Nm/65 lb-ft at 3500 rpm. All with a reduction in fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions – the values recorded in the combined cycle are 4.2 l/100 km and 99 g/km, respectively. What is more important is that the performance is comparable to engines of the same power. The thid version is 69 HP 1.2 Fire EVO II, which is the latest evolution of the FIRE family that boasts over 10 million units produced. Thanks to the continuous updates and its flexible architecture, this family of engines remains a point of reference in the category as use of the continuously variable valve timing unit shows, able as it is to optimize valve timing (opening and closing) at all engine speeds. Hence not only the fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions are reduced (5.2 litres/100 km and 120 g/km, respectively), but also the performance is increased to ensure torque availability at low rpm (102 Nm/75 lb-ft at 3000 g/min) and power at high rpm (69 HP/51 kW at 5500 g/min). At last comes the 75 HP 1.3 Multijet II, which has been made with a respect to the environment! The all-new Panda offers the 1.3 MultiJet II (Euro5) with DPF standard will also deliver a driving satisfaction with its maximum output of 75 HP/ 55 kW at 4000 rpm and a torque of 190 Nm/140 lb-ft at just 1500 rpm.

The new model of the car will be available with front-wheel drive. Next, the Panda 4×4 will make a debut offering 3 trim levels – Pop, Easy and Lounge – 10 body colours, 9 interior environments, 2 hub caps and 2 14″ and 15″ alloy wheels. Of course, the new contents will include the “Blue&Me TomTom LIVE”. The innovative optional LSCM (Low Speed Collision Mitigation) braking system will become also available. In details, this system can detect an obstacle present nearby and automatically brake at speeds slower than 30 km/h.

Fiat has though for the safety and security of the driver and the passengers too. To guarantee them, the new Panda combines a body designed according to the most modern criteria with active and passive safety content that ensures its optimum performance. The safety performance was designed by the designers and the Fiat Safety Centre after examining all possible types of collisions: front and side impacts, roll-over, pile-up and collisions with pedestrians. Various speeds at which impact may occur were also taken into consideration as well as different types of obstacles and different types of occupants with greatly varying physical characteristics. And to guarantee the protection of the occupants, the new Panda offers 4 airbags standar, ABS complete with B.A.S. (Brake Assist System), front seat belts with pretensioner and load limiter. Depending on the markets and versions, the ESC (Electronic Stability Control) complete with Hill Holder system. At last, the new “Low Speed Collision Mitigation” system is an innovative active safety feature, which is capable of recognising obstacles in front of the car and of braking automatically when the driver fails to avoid the collision. The control unit of this LSCM system is designed to activate automatic braking, following a request by the laser sensor, in addition to being designed to request a reduction in the torque from the engine control unit if the accelerator pedal has not been released. The aim of Fiat is with the help of this LSCM system to guarantee maximum safety in all conditions of use!
