Here is a Porsche Cayenne II. It has been around for 2 years now and has proven to be a very decent SUV. It’s 180 kg lighter than the first one, the front of it goes easy on the grilles and the headlights plus the interior design have some Panamera in them. So why are we even talking about it? Well, if you have an eye for that kind of things, the wheels are kind of custom and the ride is lowered.
Bad Segeberg based Schmidt Revolution house have fitted on this Cayenne four 10×22-inch one-piece five spoke summer rims. Its a set from their CC-Line. At the front, the tires size up to 295/30R22 while at the back they measure 335/25R22. They can be finished in silver, black (glossy or matte) and in exquisite black chrome. The last variant has a cover, made from a stainless steel, which doesn’t allow any dirt sticking on it. Also, because of an H&R-suspension lowering module, the Cayenne now sits lower than usual. As a result, the center of gravity is lower and drag is now a bit lower.
Otherwise, things remain pretty standard – with a base model, under the hood you should find a 3.6 L V6 engine that produces 300 PS. The power goes trough a 6-speed manual to all four wheels. Just think of it as a second generationVW Touareg and you”ll get the picture.

The RUF RXL was developed based on the Porsche Panamera. Here the RXL front bumper creates an aggressive front profile and the light weight wheels are iconic five-spoke 22 inches in diameter. The extended wheelbase totals an additional 400 millimetres, 250 millimetres at the B‑pillar and 150 millimetres at the rear door, distinguishing it from the standard sedan. The interior is further improved by special leather and includes a foldable multipurpose table.
Porsche will exhibit the new 2012 Boxster alongside the Panamera GTS and 911 Carrera Cabriolet at the Geneva Motor Show at 09:30 on March 6 in Hall 1.

The manufactureris unveiling the 911 Cabriolet to a European audience right on cue for the open air season. The new model offers sporting drivers the option to enjoy the renowned dynamic qualities and iconic design of the 911 Coupe combined with the added versatility and driving pleasure offered by its folding convertible roof.
The roadster shares its new, high tech aluminium-steel body with the Coupe and extends this innovation to its all-new, unique hood. When raised, the design of the hood ensures the iconic 911 roof line is retained in its entirety. Intelligent lightweight design, including the use of magnesium in the hood frame, ensures reduced weight for increased responsiveness, lower fuel consumption and greater comfort. As is the case with the Coupe model, the new 911 Cabriolet is significantly lighter overall than its predecessor.
The new 911 models are on sale now starting from from £79 947 and the Carrera S Cabriolet is £89 740.
2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet
Panamera GTS is based on the regular model, but comes with updated 4.8 liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine with 430PS (316 kW) at 6700RPM and 520Nm (384 lb-ft) at 3500RPM. It is coupled with a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) transmission.
Despite to kerbweight of 1 920kg, the 4-door coupe accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 288 km/h (179 mph).
A tuned chassis boasting performance-oriented options is standard; with the air suspension at its normal level the Panamera GTS sits 10 mm lower than the other models in the Panamera range and its damping is designed to be tauter, reinforcing the sporting personality. Dynamic performance is further enhanced by the combination of 19-inch diameter Panamera Turbo wheels, 5 mm rear wheel spacers and larger brake discs from the Turbo – recognisable by their red brake callipers.
The appearance of the Panamera GTS is characterised by numerous black exterior styling details. The high-gloss black exterior package comprises the side window trim, the decorative trim on the rear lid, the headlight washer unit cover, the rear diffuser and the side air outlet panels which lend a particular sporting touch. In combination with the black side skirts, the tail end and the matt black tailpipes of the sports exhaust system the result is clear-cut and striking.
JE Design have been working on a Porsche recently and this is the end result – the JE Design Panamera 970. Judging by the pictures, we can’t decide whether they have made an ugly car even uglier or not. We do know however, that the power is up and when thundering down the road, bystanders do not pay attention to small details like aesthetics, right?
Performance upgrades for both, the Panamera Diesel and Panamera Turbo are available. The former is rather subtle but the one for the petrol restores the balance. The 3.0-liter, 250 horsepower diesel gets an ECU tweak that translates into an additional package of ponies (50 more) and some more torque (from 550 Nm to 650 Nm). That newfound power sheds .2 seconds off the 0 to 60 time which now stands at 6.5seconds. On the flip side, the 4.8 bi-turbo petrol Panamera already has a dramatically more powerful engine – 500 horsepower in total to be exact. Add the ECU upgrade to that and you get 600. Torque is up from 700 to 850 Nm and the result is a 3.8 second 60 mph sprint. It all sounds like engine abuse but actually the packages are TUV certified and the owners get a one-year warranty with the option to extend it even further.
To match the performance, some aerodynamic OEM bits and pieces have been bolted on the outside. A new front bumper now channels more airflow into the intercooler and has some rather ostentatious LED daytime running lights. The sideskirts have a strange hollow design that culminates in rear air inlets. At the back, a rear spoiler is there to stay while the rear bumper has an integrated diffuser and an air outlet. All fits perfectly with the standard exhaust system but probably it wouldn’t hurt anyone to go with the JE Design cat-back exhaust system that has controllable valves on the petrol Panamera. Each of the four oval pipes at the back end are 100 mm in diameter.
The standard “Porsche Active Suspension Management” system tells the dampers how to behave has been preserved, but now an air-suspension from JE Design hunkers down the Panamera even lower. From 20 to 30 mm lower to be more precise. At the very least. with that lowered stance, the “Pandora” 9 and 10,5 x 22 wheels fill the wheel arches even more impressively. Tires, front and back – 265/295 wide and 30/25 thin, complete the overall JE Design feel.
Gemballa are ready to introduce several pimped cars at the Geneva Motor Show, next week. Actually, they will introduce three vehicles – Tornado Cayenne II, Mistrale Panamera and Racing MP4-12C GT3. The SUV and the sports saloon are extremely updated, while the McLaren features minor changes and a lot of badges.
Gemballa Tornado is based on Porsche Cayenne II and features full body kit including new front and rear bumpers, wheel arch extensions and a pair of side skirts. There are also two performance packages boosting the mighty twin-turbocharged V8 to 700HP and 1000Nm. There are also Brembo brake system including 420mm vented discs with 6-piston calipers at the front and 405mm with 4-piston at the rear. The SUV stands on a set of huge rims – 10J x 22” with 295/35 ZR22 at the front and 12J x 22” with 335/30 ZR22 tires at the rear. Only 30 units are planned to be produced.
The Mistrale Panamera is as insane as the Tornado or maybe more. It also features complete body kit, but this time almost everything is reworked even the rear lights. It also rides on the same 22” multi-spoke lightweight foged wheels, but the brake system is slightly smaller – 411 mm discs at the front axle with 6-piston calipers and 380mm discs at the rear axle with 4-piston calipers. The performance packages are the same – Stage I – 610PS and 850Nm and Stage II – 700PS and 1000Nm. The interior is also entirely reworked – there is Alcantara all over the place – dashboard, steering wheel, seats, etc.
Last is the Racing MP4-12C GT3 coming with a new paint and a lot of badges. The only exterior modification is the vented front hood, because a GT3 car is expected to be perfect, especially, when it is priced from £310 000. However, because of the mods, Gembala Racing MP4-12C GT3 is expected to be more expensive.
Edo Competition has announced their tuning package for the most powerful Panamera – the Turbo S model. The brutal GT car accelerates to 100 km/h in the blink of an eye – 3.5 seconds.

For better stance and improved handling – an electronic lowering module that can bring the body up to 30 mm closer to the ground can be fitted on request.
TopCar gave Porsche Panamera Turbo S even more value and how is that possible. Of course with some gold accents.

The interior boasts premium leather seats and crocodile leather on the dashboard, center console and armrest. Everything is so expensive and nice, that if you have such a car you will not get inside to keep it from scratches and damage. TopCar also added Karelian birch wood trim and gold accents to some buttons, around the gear leaver and the pedals.
There are no improvements to the mighty engine – a 4.8 liter V8 Bi-turbo petrol with 550PS (405 kW) and 800Nm (590 lb-ft). 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.8 seconds and the top speed is 306 km/h (190 mph).
And now the price – €423 810 consisting an original Porsche Panamera Turbo S and more than €150 000 upgrades. Yep! The gold is extremely expensive, but 150k is a bit exaggerated.

However, the German tuning specialists from speedART made some modifications for the stylish Porsche.
First, the engine received an ECU re-map, which means additional 50PS (37 kW) and 100Nm (73 lb-ft) of torque. Originally, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 242 km/h (150 mph), so the time will be significantly dropped and the top speed will be a lot more. The fuel consumption of 6.3 liters per 100 km will remain unchanged.
Second, PS9 aerodynamic kit is fitted. It includes a front spoiler, a pair of side skirts, rear diffuser, a double wing rear spoiler. There are also new front and rear air intakes. The 22” Five Spoke Competition mono-block wheels fitted with performance tires complete the exterior look.
