2017 Nissan NV200 Van Nissan team has announced more details for the 2017 Compact Cargo that is already on sale at select Nissan Commercial Vehicles dealers all around the globe.

2017 will meet NV200 with numerous fresh additions: Hill Start Assist, body-colored front and rear bumpers, outside mirrors and rear license plate, chrome grille design and full wheel covers. Also, the Sliding Door Glass Package is refreshed and adds a wire mesh to the passenger side sliding door glass and back door glass. There are also a rear window defroster and interior rearview mirror.

As you might know, the NV200 Compact Cargo tries to become the favorite van in the whole segment. It features car-like handling, small turning radius, fold-down feature to the seats, integrated mounting points and third party upfitting of racks and bins.

Some of the utility goodies include Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System, Streaming audio via Bluetooth, USB interface, RearView Monitor, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, NissanConnectSM with Navigation and Mobile Apps, large 5.8-inch touch screen, Nissan Voice Recognition for audio and navigation, SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link systems.

In terms of drivetrain system, this bad boy offers an agile 131hp (97kW) 2.0-liter 4-cylinder power unit, paired to a special next-gen Xtronic gearbox.

2014 Nissan e-NV200 – Price and Specs

Nissan has announced the pricing of the revolutionary e-NV200 – the 100% electric van that will change the LCV market forever. The model combines the exceptional all-round capability and versatility.

It will hit the market in July in both panel van and five-seat combi form, and in two distinct trim levels, the groundbreaking newcomer offers exceptional running cost savings over a conventional diesel van, making it an unbeatable proposition for businesses large and small.

The all-electric e-NV200 van Acenta is priced from just £16,562, while the combi is priced at £22,859. Meanwhile, those choosing the Flex option, with monthly battery rental starting from £61 per month will see their initial outlay (incorporating PiVG/PiCG) on the same Acenta level van and combi fall to just £13,393 and £17,855 respectively.

e-NV200 drivers can expect to benefit from up to £2,500 of fuel savings with the vehicle costing 2 pence per mile, while maintenance costs will be reduced by £575 based on servicing, parts and wear and tear.

2014 Brings A Redesigned Nissan NV200 London Taxi

2014-Nissan-EV200-London-Taxi-shadow Well then, this NV200 is Nissan‘s take on the London cab concept, and does it look scary or what? Shouldn’t act so surprised really, since this is not the first time Nissan has tried to pass a van for a London taxi. In fact, they’ve been doing it around the world. Must be a response to the global obesity crisis. It’s the looks that really have the most shock value.

Obviously, there’s a London cab (Hackney Carriage) tribute lingering in there, but it just sends shivers down our spines and not in a good way. It’s creepy – round headlights and a smiley new grill. As close as something inanimate comes human likeness, the more anxiety it causes in people. Not our words, look it up. It’s called the “uncanny valley” hypothesis. Science!

What’s more fascinating is that it’s also a bland, soulless NV200. The plan is to put it on the streets at the end of this year with a 1.6-liter petrol engine in it, which is supposed to be “far cleaner, with lower levels of NOx and particulates” when compared to the current diesel London Hackneys. Official, though not final, estimations point to 10mg/km of NOx emissions and 1.0mg/km of particles. Again, not surprising for a petrol. It’s won’t be particularly punchy as well, with 115 hp under the bonnet and a tiny bit more than that in lb-ft torque. Alternatively there will be an all-electric version called the e-NV200. It will arrive in the UK at some point in 2015 – silent and creepy.

Nissan e-NV200 and NV200 London Taxi at the Commercial Vehicle Show

Nissan is going to present two new vehicles at the 13^th annual Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC Birmingham. The e-NV200 and NV200 London Taxi will make their official debut.

The e-NV200, Nissan’s first 100% electric van will make its UK debut at the show. It has already won praise with fleet operators for zero CO₂ at the point of use, driving comfort and generous carrying capacity and payload.

With prices at the pump continuing to rise, one of the biggest benefits of the eNV200 will be the long term cost savings that can be made by charging the van with electricity rather than filling up with diesel.

The NV200 Taxi has been modified to accommodate a wheel chair passenger and achieve a 25ft (7.6m) turning-circle – a legal requirement for all Hackney Carriages.

Built in response to strong fleet and business demand, the new and highly affordable entry-level version of the popular Navara double cab pick-up will be exhibited on the Nissan stand. The Navara Visia has been carefully developed to offer operators a practical, robust and capable pick-up at a price that’s in tune with the times.

“We’re looking forward to showing the eNV200 to the public and offering a glimpse into the future of vans and their potential low running costs. Fleets that have recently tested the eNV200 have given us excellent feedback and we’re now excited to see the response from the public.”, commented Jon Pollock, Nissan GB corporate sales director.

2013 Nissan NV200 S – US Price $19,990

Nissan has presented the 2013 NV200 Cargo Van at the Chicago Auto Show. The US-spec version comes with a lot of standard equipment at decent price. The Van has been extended by 7.9” compared to the standard NV200 that is sold in other international markets.

The total cargo volume is 3,474 liters (122.7 cubic feet) and length of 4732mm (186.3”). There are two sliding doors, which provide easy entrance and loading. The interior boasts integrated file folder hanging system in the center console as well as a front passenger seat that can be folded down to serve as a worktop or lunch table. This provides additional comfort and functionality.

2013 NV200 Cargo Van is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder petrol with 133HP (98kW) and 188Nm (139 lb-ft) of torque. It is coupled with an Xtronic CVT (continuously variable transmission). The Van returns up to 24 mpg in city, 25 mpg on the highway and 24 mpg combined cycle.

There are two trim levels – NV 200 S priced at $19,990 and NV 200 SV for $20,980.

Nissan at Geneva – What’s in store?

Nissan is offering some insight of what they have in store for us, the people at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Among the many production vehicles that will take part next month in the show, are also four premiering concepts – first seen in Europe are the e-NV200 and Juke Nismo concepts while first ever are the INVITIATION, on which we had news recently here, and another concept that is still a hard kept secret and a surprise, Nissan say.

The e-NV200 is based on the already successful NV200 which the small difference of being 100% electric. The e-NV200 is the next phase of Nissan‘s dominance on the EV market which began with the multi-award winning LEAF.

The Juke NISMO concept was fist seen on the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show back in December and now it will be in Europe for the first time. NISMO is Nissan’s motorsport branch which has taken up enhancing everyday mainstream production vehicles to give them that unmistakable feel of a NISMO performance car. They have certainly went the extra mile with the Juke and left it with with an outstanding character and plenty of grunt.

Production vehicles that will be making an appearance at the Nissan booth in Geneva represent a versatile bunch: From Pixos and Micras to Jukes and Qashqais and even Pathfinders and Navaras. The LEAF and the mighty GT-R will also be there to enchant the public. The common thing however, is that all participants will feature a minor MY2012 Innovation or a special edition.

The other thing that can be found in every single model is the shared Nissan DNA which is the reason for the company’s success – despite the economic downturn, Nissan in Europe enjoyed its best year in 2011. Sales were up by 25 percent in comparison to 2010. Who knows how much is that number going to climb this year.

Nissan e-NV200 Concept

Nissan has revealed the e-NV200 Concept, which will makes its official debut at the 2012 North American Auto Show in Detroit. The vehicle is based on the popular Nissan NV200 multi-usage vehicle and features a full electric drivetrain.

“With its ‘no gas, no tailpipe, no emissions’ powertrain, the Nissan e-NV200 Concept combines a quiet, comfortable driving experience with a large, highly versatile, functional interior space within a compact overall body length,” commented Hideto Murakami, corporate vice president, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.

“A potential game changing vehicle in its segment, the battery capacity will support a driving range similar to the Nissan LEAF, while payload and cargo space will offer the same level as the current NV200. The production version would be targeted mainly at businesses, but also at private users or families in major regions.”, he added.

The Nissan e-NV200 Concept shares its major drivetrain components with the innovative Nissan LEAF. The e-NV200 includes an 80kW AC synchronous motor that generates 280Nm of torque.
Silent, zero emission power is supplied by a lithium-ion battery composed of 48 compact modules and a high-response 109 PS (80kW) AC synchronous motor that generates 280Nm of torque. Unlike a conventional internal combustion engine, the motor delivers 100% of its torque from start with immediate response bringing excellent acceleration and smooth, comfortable driving feel.

And, like the Nissan LEAF, the Nissan e-NV200 Concept offers a highly responsive, fun-to-drive experience that is in keeping with what consumers have come to expect from traditional, gasoline-powered vehicles. In line with the Nissan LEAF, the Nissan e-NV200 Concept offers excellent projected fuel economy – a critical factor for commercial vehicle operators.

2011 Nissan NV200

Nissah will put on sale a small van at extremely low price. The model is NV200 offering satellite navigation and a number of enhancements like more powerful engine and a rear view camera.

The 1.5 dCi is available with either 85HP or 89HP or 110HP versions. The most powerful model meets Euro 5 emissions regulations and available on all but the entry-level E-grade NV200. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and emits just 139 g/km of CO2.

The base E NV200 Panel Van 1.5 dCi with 85HP costs just £12 2300, while the S NV200 Combi 5 seat 1.5 dCi with 89HP starts at £13 850. Bluetooth connectivity is standard across the Combi range, while a new flagship SE+ variant adds Nissan Connect, cruise control and a driver adjustable speed limiter to its standard equipment list.

Nissan NV200 – New York Taxi

New York is the city with the largest taxi fleet in the US. It has selected Nissan to design and supply the next-generation “Taxi of Tomorrow”. The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) selected the Nissan NV200 as the exclusive taxi of New York City beginning in late 2013.

“Nissan is proud to provide the next generation of taxis for the City of New York,” commented Nissan Americas Chairman Carlos Tavares.

“The NV200 taxi will give Nissan the opportunity to showcase our dedication to vehicle quality and urban mobility to more than 600 000 passengers every day.”, he added.

The NV200 taxi will be produced and assembled at Nissan’s facility in Cuernavaca, Mexico. A very good idea, because it will be much cheaper than building in the US. However, the NV200 taxi will be a tuned version of the compact commercial vehicle currently available in global markets including the UK.

The program will also include working with the City and taxi owners on a pilot training to study the use of zero-emission, electric vehicles as taxis. The manufacturer will also provide up to six electric Nissan LEAFs to taxi owners for testing in 2012.

“The city’s Taxi of Tomorrow is the Nissan NV 200 – and it’s going to be the safest, most comfortable and most convenient cab the city has ever had,” saide Mayor Bloomberg.

“We started this process to leverage our taxi industry’s purchasing power to get the highest quality taxi, one that that can expand and redefine the legendary image of New York City taxicabs. The new taxis will be custom-designed to meet the specific demands of carrying 600,000 passengers a day in New York City traffic and the vehicle meets the top priorities identified by the public in our on-line survey.”, he added.

There are more than 13 000 taxis in the city of New York, which have a cumulative 500 million miles per year, so the durability was a key factor in the “Taxi of Tomorrow” selection process. That’s why, Nissan will train taxi fleet operators to conduct routine in-house service and repairs.

Overhead reading lights for passengers and floor lighting to help locate belongings;
A mobile charging station for passengers that includes a 12V electrical outlet and two USB plugs;
A six-way adjustable driver’s seat that features both recline and lumbar adjustments, even with a partition installed;
Standard driver’s navigation and telematics systems.

Key safety features include:

Front and rear-seat occupant curtain airbags, as well as seat-mounted airbags for the front row;
Standard traction control and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC);
Sliding doors to reduce the risk of pedestrians, cyclists and other motorists getting struck by doors opening unexpectedly;
Lights that alert other road users that taxi doors are opening.

Nissan unveiled a concept sketch of a light commercial electric car based on the recently launched Nissan NV200. NV200: Nissan’s New Global Van Makes European Debut At Barcelona Motor Show

The van version of Nissan’s global NV200 will premiere today at the Barcelona International Motorshow.

Initially, the NV200 will be assembled in Japan for the European market, until production starts at Nissan’s plant in Barcelona in November 2009.

Sales of NV200 van and combi version will start from October 2009 in most European markets, while the Family version will be available in 2010.* (more…)

Nissan Releases All-New Global Van – NV200 Vanette

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd (NML) today announced the start of the pre-launch sales for the all-new NV200 van in Japan. Following its global debut at the 79th International Geneva Motor Show in March, Japan will be the first market to launch this next generation global van starting mid-May.
