  • Nissan praises the advanced Ariya lineup with new exclusive body finishes

2021-Nissan-Ariya-910Nissan unveils a rich palette of body finishes for the Ariya, all inspired by the innovative nature of the lineup. Driven by the ambition to bring the worlds of electric vehicles and design elegance together, the Nissan team has created a futuristic vehicle with tons of features.

There are four monotone and six two-tone variants, all exclusively created to enhance the visual impact of the new Ariya. Also, the paint is applied by an advanced and environmentally sustainable paint production technology which reduces the carbon dioxide output by 25 per cent.

There are also two unique finishes, named Akatsuki Copper and Aurora Green, both captivating the sporty essence of the Arya lineup. Inspired by the Japanese phrase “dawn”, Akatsuki Copper mimics the beauty of the sunrise, reflecting Nissan’s refreshed brand identity. The finish comes with metallic sparkle and honours the brand’s advanced EV technologies.

On the other hand, the Aurora Green is inspired by the Northern Lights phenomenon, commonly seen in the arctic. The paint blends different tones and grants the chameleon effect – some time the vehicle can appear green or purple, depending on the angle and the type of light that illuminates it.

  • Nissan engineers switch to a dual-display system. Here are details!

2020 Nissan Ariya ConceptThe contemporary design concept for new vehicles includes a large and bulky tablet-like digital screens that are placed somewhere on the dashboard. Although such super-sized displays may grab attention and are designed to be easy to use, Nissan team has decided to try something new – in order to retain the balance in the design and technology, brand’s engineers and designers try out something new. Let’s find out what!

For its Ariya Concept, Nissan has prioritized the idea to remove the bulky tablet and insert a two-screen display reminiscent of a wave. This approach adds to the sense of horizon through the interior of the Ariya Concept crossover – from components in the door to the rear of the cabin. As expected, this idea is part of Nissan’s Japanese Futurism design language.

In addition to conveying information better to the human mind, this particular layout projects information from a safer location – in the line of sight, closer to the road. By matching interior’s horizon aesthetics, it becomes a seamless part of the dashboard. Brand’s engineers call this engawa – the undefined space between where the driver is and where he is going.

Although there are two screens, they are crafted in such a way that information can be swiped between them in such a way that a feeling of a single unit is created. For instance, if one wants to route directions and map in front of the steering wheel, they can appear there. They can also move to the center, or disappear when no longer needed.

  • Nissan presents new 4OWER technology at 2020 CES

2020 Nissan Ariya Concept Nissan is elevating the performance capability of electric vehicles with its new twin-motor AWD control technology called e-4ORCE. The technology ensures instant torque to all four wheels and ensures balanced and predictable power and handling on par with numerous premium sports cars.

The “e” represents Nissan’s technologies enabled by a 100 per cent electric motor drive system. “4ORCE”, pronounced “force” evokes physical power and energy with the “4” standing for the AWD control driving capability.

The technology was born from the lessons learned in the development of the Nissan GT-R’s ATTESA E-TS torque split system and the Nissan Patrol’s intelligent 4×4 system. Furthermore, engineers have developed the e-4ORCE technology in order to manage electric vehicle power output and braking performance to be smooth and stable as much as possible.

The ride comfort is a result of the e-4ORCE’s ability to minimize vehicle pitch and drive. This is achieved by employing regenerative braking from both front and rear motors, making city stop-and-go traffic less jostling. In a similar fashion, on rough and bumpy roads, and especially when accelerating, motor control is optimized to maintain ride comfort by minimizing irregular movement.

Furthermore, e-4ORVE increases driver confidence by tracing the driver’s intended line thanks to ultra-high-precision motor and brake control. With the confidence to handle such variety of road surfaces, even for newbie rivers on slippery roads, driving becomes more enjoyable.
