One of the most luxurious Bentley models, if not the most luxurious, the Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase is to make is to make its US debut at the Monterey Auto Week.
This luxurious limousine is exclusively created for people who do not satisfy themselves with nothing, but the best out there. This first-class air-travel experience beauty will be first unveiled at the Quail: A Motorsports Gathering event on Friday, 19 August and then it will make appearance at the Lodge on Sunday, 21 August.
Also aiming to global show-off is the recently-launched Flying Spur V8 S. Filling the gap between the Flying Spur V8 and the flagship model W12, V8 S is designed to add some more power, but this time with tweaked and redesigned suspension system in order to fit perfectly between V8 and W12.
Also, the most powerful Bentley, created so far, the Continental GT Speed Black Edition, will also be present at the events. As we have told you, this mighty car pushes the boundaries of conventional thinking and delivers some incredible speed, power and acceleration rates.
One more celebrity that will be at sight is the Bentayga. This sweetheart will draw a BowLus Road Chief to Turn 10 at the Laguna Seca circuit. Bentayga will also be partnered with Bowlus Road Chief – Limited Edition Lithium+ trailer at the Quail and the Pebble Beach Signature Party on Saturday night. Cool.
Queen’s Bentley Mulsanne limousine has gone for sale on Auto Trader! The iconic piece of history was reserved for exclusive use by her Majesty during a two-year period from 2012-2014 when Bentley team retired from Royal duties. This particular Mulsanne model was pressed into service by the Queen during her Diamond Jubilee celebrations and for a visit to 10 Downing Street where she attended her first cabinet meeting with Prime Minister, David Cameron, who greeted her on her arrival. The Royal vehicle includes some upgrades as walnut burr veneered picnic tables, door panels and rear quarter vanity mirrors. Also, there are embroidered Bentley emblems to all seats and additionally, the car runs on custom 21-inch classic alloys. In terms of drivetrain system and performance rates, the Mulsanne is powered by a powerful 6.75-liter power unit with more than 500hp (367kW) and is capable of reaching 100km/h (62mph) in a bit over of 5 seconds. Limousine’s top speed is 331km/h (184mph), but we are unaware of the fact whether James did or did not spare the horses while transporting her Majesty.
This Ex-Royal vehicle has covered less than 5,000 miles during its two-year service and is offered in perfect selling condition. It is offered for sale by a dealership based in Bramley, Surrey. ($284,256 USD).
Bentley Motors finally announced full details of the new Mulsanne: the ultimate vehicle of the premium British automobile manufacturer. Handcrafted in Crewe, England, this vehicle is definitely the flagship of Bentley vehicles and represents brand’s never-ending desire and passion for doing even better and more refined vehicles. So, let’s waste no more time and see what this bad boy offers.
Exterior design
The front of the vehicle underwent dramatic change and now shows contemporary and aggressive stance. This face is dominated by a big stainless steel vertical-vane grille, while the floating all-LED headlamps not only contribute to the aggressive design, but also adopt special technology for better night vision with beam patterns.
Furthermore, the one-piece bumper, radiator shell and bonnet blend together to create this massive and muscular stance, while the brightware details continue on both sides of the vehicle with fresh B-shaped wing vent.
The rear shows new taillights, restyled bumper and somehow more muscular and massive presence. Also, the taillamps incorporate the “B” theme with light guides that create instantly-recognizable signature. Sweet.
And the best part is that the vehicle can be personalized with many two-tone color schemes and stylish 21-inch wheels.
Interior styling
The inside welcomes driver and passengers to cozy and rather functional space. There are comfortable new seats, armrests and door trims. Also, the cabin features hand-selected veneers, bright-polished stainless steel, one-of-a-kind glass switchgear, traditional knurled controls and deep-pile carpets.
And along with the comfortable components, there is a ton of advanced and versatile technologies. For example, the Mulsanne features new infotainment system with class-leading navigation system, 8-inch display and a 60gb hard drive.
There is also a High Beam Assist system, Blind Spot Warning, Advanced Automatic Stability Control and powerful audio system with 2,200 watts amplifier. Furthermore, the rear-seat passengers will benefit from the Bentley Entertainment Tablet that features 4G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Drivetrain system
The new Mulsanne is geared with the mighty 6¾-liter V8 that is capable of developing 505hp (377kW) and the stunning 1,020 Nm of torque. This titanic power is further channeled towards the eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. Also, this V8 engine features a key technology of cylinder de-activation and variable cam phasing that reduces the overall fuel consumption. Sweet.
This combination ensures that the 0 to 100km/h (62mph) sprint lasts only 5.1 seconds. This impressive start also sets the stage for chasing the top speed, measured at 296km/h (184mph).
Furthermore, the vehicle comes with extended wheelbase that offers first class air-travel driving experience. The 250mm extension means that there is significant addition to the free space in the cabin and also contributes to even more stability on the road.
So, what do you think about Bentley’s latest masterpiece?
Bentley Mulsanne 95 Special Edition has been designed and produced in order to celebrate Bentley’s 95th anniversary. The model is company’s luxurious flagship model. Only 15 examples will be hand crafted and they have all been reserved for customers in the United Kingdom. Their exterior paint finish is inspired by the British flag, while the interiors include unique wood veneer and range of design cues.
To go into details, there are three bespoke exterior colors: Britannia Blue, Empire Red and Oxford White. They have been created especially for this limited run of cars. The classic red, white and blue color palette is complemented by unique exterior details, such as a dark tint finish given to the iconic Flying B bonnet mascot and the striking 21-inch five-spoke wheels.
Inside, one can find the luxurious wood veneers and leather hides, illuminated treadplates featuring a bespoke ‘NINETY FIVE’ script and union flag detail, which turns the simple act of opening the door into an occasion. In addition, a distinctive ‘95’ emblem has been embroidered onto the front and rear seats. It has been also included on the passenger fascia panel.
In the case of Mulsanne 95, Bentley has selected a rare wood veneer from a huge walnut tree. It is estimated to be between 300 and 400 years old, and eventually came down at Fulbeck Hall in Lincolnshire during a heavy storm in 2007.
The signature ‘ring of wood’ of the veneer encompasses the entire interior. Its complex pattern shows a rare rippled effect which sweeps through the cabin. Furthermore, the walnut veneer is complemented by a blue and white two-tone leather split with red contrast stitching.
For those of you who feel that the Bentley Mulsanne is just not exclusive enough there is a solution. It’s the brand new limited edition of the flagship car: the Birkin Mulsanne.
Birkin is the name of Sir Henry ‘Tiger’ Tim Birkin – a legendary figure of the 20s and 30s. He was considered as the embodiment of the British gentleman racer. More importantly, though, he was a Bentley Boy – always on the track, working with engineers, pushing the limits of what was possible. It was on his insistence, for example, to put a supercharger on the 1928 ‘Blower’ Bentley bringing the power up from 130 to 242 hp
So you might be wondering how did Bentley modify the Mulsanne as to pay tribute to Birkin. Well, apparently, they’ve spec-ed it the way he would have. Not sure if they had Drive Dynamics Control systems back then, but the Birkin Mulsanne sure does have one. The base model for the Birkin limited edition employs the Mulliner Driving Specification, hence the sport mode of operation.
Additionally, as part of the program, the interior boasts diamond quilting patterns on the seats and door panels and leather headlining and “knurling” details on the metalwork. The headrests have 3D “Flying B” logos stitched on them and the door sill plaques have inscribed number of the limited edition model on them (22 available units in total). At the rear two 8-inch LCD screens glare at you from the back of the front headrests. There’s also a DVD player, a Wi-Fi hotspot, the Naim for Bentley premium audio system and iPads integrated into the hand-crafted solid wood picnic tables.
Lastly, on the outside, you would recognize a Birkin Mulsanne by its color. It’s going to be either a “Ghost White”, “Damson”, or a contrast of “Fountain Blue and Dark Saphire”. 21-inch wheels are a given.
Too bad Bentley decided that Birkin wouldn’t want any more power on the Mulsanne, because the limited features end here.
Bentley just introduced their Le Mans Limited Edition Mulsanne and Continental model specifications, which will be distributed across North America. Each model is inspired by a driver from Bentley’s six victories at the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours race.
These special models celebrate brands significant achievements at the race. In fact, 48 examples of each Le Mans Limited Edition model will be produced, with each car having unique Le Mans Edition numbered badge, Le Mans Edition clock face, embroidered Le Mans badge to each headrest, tread plates with the limited edition name, Le Mans Edition wheels and specific interior veneers and exterior colours.
To go further into details, the Mulsanne model, which is one of the most exclusive cars of the British luxury motoring, sprints form 0 to 100 km/h in only 5.1 seconds on its way to a top speed of 184 mph. This is possible thanks to its drivetrain which delivers 505 hp (371 kW).
In addition, the limited edition specification here offers highlights such as diamond-quilted hide seat covering, diamond-quilted hide door panels, Le Mans Edition illuminated treadplates, drilled alloy foot pedals, sports tuned suspension and steering, ‘Quad’ Effect Tailpipe Finishers, and two-piece five spoke dark tint alloy wheels.
On the other hand, the 4-seat Continental GT Speed Le Mans Edition coupe delivers the highest standards of design, engineering, luxury and performance. Under the hood is hidden the renowned 6.0-litre W12 engine, that generates 616 hp (453 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) available from 2000 rpm. This means that the GT Speed sprints to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds and is the fastest production Bentley ever with a top speed of 205 mph.

Bentley has announced that they will produce the special edition Mulsanne Executive Interior, which was first showcased at the 2011 Frankfurt Show.
“The original Mulsanne multimedia concept was previewed at several special customer events across the globe and the reaction was immensely encouraging. Bentley has now created two bespoke Specifications, Theatre and iPad, and we’re confident they will meet the expectations of customers needing a business-focussed environment or simply a relaxing space where films, music, television and the internet can be enjoyed,” says Alasdair Stewart, Bentley’s Member of the Board for Sales and Marketing.
Both the Theatre and iPad Specifications are seamlessly integrated into the Mulsanne’s sumptuous and supremely comfortable cabin, which takes Bentley’s craftsmen and women over 170 hours to create. When not required, features like the drop-down screen or picnic tables retract and are stowed both quickly and discretely.
The Theatre Specification includes a wide range of entertainment for the passengers at the rear seats – DVD movies, television programmes, or music. This is offered via a 15.6” centrally located HD LED screen. There are also two 8” screens on each of the headrests, enabling passengers to select their own entertainment and listening in private through high quality Bluetooth headphones. Business users can take full advantage of the powerful processing capability and connectivity of the boot-mounted Apple Mac computer which is selectable for display via the HD LED screen. Twin USB ports positioned in the centre console provide easy access to the Mac to upload films, music and data or documents for use either in the cabin or once the journey ends.
Finger-tip control is provided via an iPod touch allowing navigation of the technology by means of a unique Bentley ‘App’ and bespoke reading lights have been designed to provide optimum illumination for viewing documents.

The iPad Specification includes two beautifully crafted, electrically-deployed veneered picnic tables for rear passengers provide a soft hide writing surface, colour-matched to the seats of the Mulsanne, and at the press of a button twin iPads with wireless keyboards are revealed. Both rear passengers can work on documents or files independently, email, browse the internet, make video calls or play music or games. The picnic tables are cleverly designed so that the keyboards can be easily removed and placed on the user’s lap for added comfort.
Both the Theatre and iPad Specifications of Mulsanne Executive Interior can be specified with a range of finishing touches including a Tibaldi fountain pen from its specially commissioned Collection which will be hand veneered to match the car and is discretely stowed in a dedicated dock in the centre armrest.

And seen on a Bentley for the first time, a distinctive Yachting-style veneer of either Dark Wenge with a Maple Pinstripe or Maple using the Dark Wenge as the pinstripe motif. Both of these Yachting veneers are available in a Satin or Gloss Lacquer finish.
Reflecting the technical character of the Executive Interior Mulsanne the car can be specified with unique 21” multi-spoke wheels, each cut from a solid, forged aluminium billet by computer-controlled lathes and milling machines. Each billet initially weighs 85 kg, and, like a sculpture emerging from a block of marble, is transformed in around three hours into a light-weight wheel weighing 13.4 kg.
You know the Bentley Mulsanne, right? It has been the flagship Bentley for quite a while and now we have a fresh new version. It’s called the Mulliner Driving Specification and is here to keep the things afloat. Well… it will be here actually: the debut is set for the 82nd Geneva Motor Show.
Highlighting the spec, are four 21-inch, light aluminum alloy wheels bolted in place with titanium fasteners. The overall finish on them comes in two forms: painted or polished. Together with the 265/40 ZR21 tires, the wheels grant the Bentley an agile and dynamic stance on the road.
There are also other smallish design touches such as the wing vents that take the shape of the emblematic “Flying B” symbol. There’s also an inscription on them that reads “Mulliner”. A whole new perforation process has been developed to make the inside of the car look like a diamond patterned sofa. The gear lever holds baseball-like lather stitches on its side. There’s a grippy, ‘coined’ surface on the metal interior door handles while the pedals are made of drilled alloy only. While the upper surface of the door sills is busy reading “Mulsanne”, their sides are available to display Mulliner treadplate plaques that seal this particular Bentley as a Driving Specification.
In spite of the old-school air vent pull knobs, there is a ‘sport’ setting on the rotary switch mounted next to the gearshift selector. It is a tiny reminder that this is not a 19th glassware cabinet but a state of the art performance saloon. We have a 505 bhp, 6.75 liter V8 monstrosity under the hood which is good for a 5.1 second 60mph sprint run and a top speed of 184 mph. That power needs management and that’s why we also have a Drive Dynamics Control system which operates the suspension and steering. Now with a ‘sport’ mode on, the Mulsanne can take bends at high-speeds without breaking your back.
Partly irrelevant to the Mulliner Driving Spec. will be the addition of bottle cooler and sunroof options within the whole Mulsanne line. The cooler is integrated into the back seats and has space for two full-sized champagne bottles in upright position. It also comes with three hand-blown champagne flutes made exclusively for Bentley by the designer David Redman. All can be cleverly concealed when not in use.
Should you ever feel claustrophobic in a Mulsanne, which is unlikely, you can opt for the tilt-opening, tinted glass sunroof. It floods the cabin with light and gives an extra dimension of space, providing additional ventilation while avoiding the security risk of open windows.
2011 Bentley Continental GT is ready. The car looks like a facelift to the outgoing model, but the company assures that it is a completely new vehicle. However, if you look closer you will find out that the side windows are longer and the beltline is a little higher. 2011 Continental GT also features new taillights, Mulsanne-inspired headlights and a new front grille.
Inside, the new Bentley also includes number of modifications compared to the previous model. There is a new MEDIA system and the quality of the materials is a bit higher. (more…)
