McLaren F1 #069 front view Imagine that you have a chance to own a real new McLaren F1! How cool would it be? You can actually do that (if you have the money and are faster than Shmee 150), since an example of the F1 with chassis number #069 has appeared on the surface. What is even better, it has covered only 2800 miles, which makes it like a new one… well, almost.

A little bit of history is necessary here. The F1 is actually considered the model which has rewritten the supercar rule book. There were only 64 roadcar examples built between the years 1993 and 1998. These facts actually make the McLaren one of the rarest and highly-regarded models among collectors and petrol-heads.

McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has found one of the last ever and finest examples of this model almost in factory condition. It has covered less than 2,800 miles since new. Built in 1998 as one of the six F1s produced then, the #069 was the 60th unit created.

The supercar is dressed in Carbon Black and is complimented by subtle detailing throughout. Specific highlights include a stealth finish to the 17-inch centre-locking magnesium wheels, central driving seat in black and contrasting red leather, and the dual passenger seats wrapped in Alcantara.

Built after knowledge gained in Formula 1 expertise, the McLaren F1 was the first road car to include a full carbon fibre chassis. It has and with a central driving position and engine bay lined with gold. Driven by a bespoke naturally-aspirated mid-mounted 6.1-litre V12 engine, this car produces 636PS (627bhp) and hits a top speed of 390.7km/h (242.8 mph). In fact, more than 20 years on, the F1 still holds the title of fastest naturally-aspirated production road car ever built!

MSO to Showcase Carbon Fiber Tribute to P1 and Limited 675LT Spider in Geneva

McLaren 675LT Spider and P1 by MSO McLaren and MSO (McLaren Special Operations) are going to have a strong presence at the Geneva Motor Show this year. MSO division is going to pay a carbon fibre tribute to the P1™ which was recently stopped from production. In addition, MSO will also display a bespoke version of the 675LT Spider which is actually making first public appearance after it was sold in weeks. They will line up alongside the new 650S GT3 racing car and a future production car that will join the Sports Series family.

Starting with the P1 by MSO, this is one of the 375 road legal versions produced. It is adorned by a full visual carbon fibre body which has been hand-laid, and is painted in ‘Lio Blue’ tinted lacquer. The exclusive look of the car is strengthened by a gloss black finish to the wheels, an extensive new trim of the interior with carbon black Alcantara and contrasting blue stitching. There is even a 24-carat gold exhaust heatshield.

This car is making public debut in Geneva and is actually limited to only 500 examples globally. Painted in Ceramic Grey it also feature an abundant carbon fibre trim. Even the hardtop is made of “satin” carbon fibre. It retracts at speeds up to 40km/h (25mph) and saves 1kg, while the front wings include carbon fibre louvres.

The body color was also used for the ‘Longtail’ Airbrake. The lower plane shows the natural carbon fibre weave as do the aerodynamic front bumper end plates, side skirts, side intakes and rear bumper. Inside dwells a pair of black Alcantara trimmed racing seats with contrasting Xenon Yellow stitching with the rotary Handling and Powertrain controls on the Active Dynamics Panel finished in Solis.

Gold detailing has been used here too. It is visible through the exposed engine bay with a 24-carat gold heatshield around the titanium exhaust system. At last, we should say that the performance for the 675LT Spider by MSO will remain unchanged, meaning that it will be powered by the 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 with 675PS (666bhp) and 700Nm (516lb ft). Just as a reminder, the figures which it generates are: 2.9 seconds for the acceleration spring from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) and a top speed of 326km/h (204mph).

Look at this Devilish and Unique McLaren P1 Created by MSO

2015 McLaren P1 by McLaren Special Operations (MSO) in red and black is the latest creation from MSO which is already conquering the streets in the United Kingdom. The car looks like it has just escaped from hell, doesn’t it? And what makes it even more attractive is that it is absolutely one-off.

The black and red design theme hasn’t been applied only on the outside, but also on the inside. Starting first with the exterior, this P1 has adopted very well the idea of the two-tone paint scheme. From what we can see there is a rear wing that also features those two colors, and this accounts for the roof scoop and the diffuser as well.

The lightweight wheels didn’t escape the two-tone treatment. They originally come in a black paint scheme but have been contrasted by bright red stripes and accents.

Inside, MSO created a devilish interior featuring a lot of carbon fiber and high-quality materials like Alcantara. In general, the cabin has been made black, but through vicious design expertise the specialists used the red for the stitching, center console, steering wheel, air vents and doors.

This P1 is not only supremely looking but it is actually a very potent hybrid supercar. It is powered by 3.8 litre V8 with engine block casting which incorporates the electric motor. The total output that it produces has been rated at 903 hp (664 kW) and 850 Nm (627 l-ft) of torque.

MSO Releases One-Off Red-Accented McLaren P1 [UPDATED]

David Kyte, who is a British businessman, is the lucky person who owns this car. What’s so special about it, you might ask. Well, first of all it is a McLaren P1, secondly – it has been updated by MSO a.k.a. McLaren Special Operations, and third, it is absolutely one-off. It is actually one of the 375 P1 hybrid supercars that have been sold within an instant after the premiere of the car during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, and it has been individualized according to the tastes of Kyte.

To go into details, the exterior of the car has received a blue paint scheme contrasted by bright red stripes and accents. The highlighting color can be seen used for the side skirts, front splitter, door surrounds and on the rear diffuser.

Accompanied by the red brake calipers and red accents inside the gloss black wheels, they make the hypercar really stand out.

Inside, we manage to see Alcantara throughout and carbon fiber elements on the center console and side sills. The latter has also received “McLaren Special Operations” lettering. The lightweight material has been extensively used due to the fact that the weight of the P1 should be kept low at only 1,400 kg (3,086 lbs).

To remind you, the P1 is actually starting a trend of new hybrid supercars. It is powered by 3.8 litre V8 unit with engine block casting that incorporates the electric motor. The total output that it produces has been rated at 903 hp (664 kW) and 850 Nm (627 l-ft) of torque.

McLaren Special Operations Introduces MSO Defined Division

McLaren Special Operations or more commonly known as MSO has announced the release of MSO Defined division which offers individual personalization options for the McLaren 650S and the 625C. This marks the start of the first of five personalization and support options offered by MSO. The newly formed division joins the MSO Bespoke, which specialises in one-off models, MSO Limited that produces limited-edition series production cars, MSO Heritage, focused on the maintenance and storage of historic cars and the MSO Programmes that includes the McLaren P1 GTR.

MSO Defined line will enable customers to truly express themselves through their vehicles. To be more precise, the program includes aerodynamic kit, which was created in order to improve the design of 650S and features subtle carbon fibre interior upgrades.

On the outside, there is additional carbon fibre rear diffuser option as well as extended side door blades. Weight can be saved via the full carbon fibre rear deck and mirror arms. At the same time the interior options include extended carbon fibre shift paddles and a redesigned instrument cluster with Formula 1 inspired shift lights mounted on the instrument cluster.

MSO Bespoke is what provides customers with limitless level of customization in terms of paint, leather and stitching colours and upholstery and body. The MSO Limited has already designed limited-run and special edition examples of the 650S and 12C. The models produced include the McLaren 50 12C and 12C Spider, built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the McLaren brand in 2013 and theMSO 650S, which debuted at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

MSO Heritage offers an unrivalled level of knowledge and expertise on the McLaren F1, while the MSO Programmes division encompasses the upcoming McLaren P1 GTR Driver Programme. Each car will be built, maintained and prepared by MSO in advance of the rack days held at the F1 circuits.

Bespoke McLaren MSO 650S Spider Concept Debuts At Goodwood

McLaren MSO 650S Spider Concept which has been teased previously this month. If you are fan of the brand, then you will undoubtedly remember that MSO 650S Coupe has already been revealed in China in April. Both models will enter a production, which will not exceed 50 examples. As mentioned previously this month the production Spider will make its debut at Goodwood in the Supercar Paddock. It will also make a run though the famous Hill.

MSO 650S Spirder has many similarities with the Coupe. The exterior is fitted abundantly with number of carbon fibre styling upgrades with a satin finish. For instance, the extended MSO Side Blades are all carbon, while the three-piece rear bumper includes a carbon fibre centre section, which sits above a restyled and aggressive rear diffuser.

The supercar will be offered in three paint finishes: Papaya Spark, Agrigan Black and Sarigan Quartz. The first one is a modern interpretation of the famous McLaren Orange, while the Agrigan Black we have already seen in the MSO 650S Coupe. It is a stylish metallic black with a deep ruby red metallic flake. A new color is the Sarigan Quartz which is vibrant metallic silver with a subtle golden infusion, and it will be shown for the first time at Goodwood.

The final element of this exceptional exterior feature Palladium coloured 10-spoke Super Lightweight alloy wheels. They have unique diamond cut effect to the inside edge of each spoke. It is interesting that these wheels save 4 kg over the standard design.

The interior of this McLaren is upholstered with carbon black leather and Alcantara. There is stylish satin lacquered carbon fibre detailing which can be seen on the driver and passenger zones. As a contrast to these elements, a gloss finish has been applied to the air vents and handling and powertrain switchgear on the Active Dynamics Panel. At last, a signature dedication plaque is installed on the MSO carbon fibre sill panel.

Every single example of MSO 650S will be delivered with a Frank Stephenson-signed sketch and a luxury MSO branded, leather weekend bag. The latter is handcrafted from stealth black carbon fibre leather and includes Alcantara lining.

The pricing of the McLaren MSO 650S begins at £252,500 for the Coupe, while the Spider is rated at £272,500. Those 50 that will purchase the car can expect their deliveries before the end of the year.

McLaren Bespoke Project 8 in White-and-Red Theme

McLaren Bespoke Project 8 - Side McLaren Bespoke Project 8 features not only one but two unique supercars. They are based on MP4-12C ad F1, but are not a regular McLaren, because they was optimized by McLaren Special Operations (MSO).

As a matter of fact MSO are famous because they create one-of-a-kind models. On good example of these is the breathtaking X-1 model, which debuted in the end of August this year.

As a reminder, McLaren X-1 Concept has one-of-a-kind body, never seen before, and has been created for an anonymous car enthusiast. The client wished he had a machine which was capable as the 12C but wrapped in a unique body.

As you can see, McLaren Bespoke Project 8 has a theme in red and white which carries through the exquisite super vehicles and believe it or not even stretches to the key. The client who wished this tuning obviously has a great sense for style and perfection.

In details, what have been done here is the following. First to be mentioned is that the F1 model is entirely retrimmed. There was applied a high downforce kit to it. Secondly, the MP4-12C was tuned accordingly as well, in order to match its brother the F1.

McLaren even went further. The professionals created a new way of coloring the carbon fibre so that the color scheme can match and in addition they’ve made specific wheel for each of the cars.
