  • Mercedes-Benz G-Class is FABulous Thanks to FAB Design

FAB Design knows how to make cars look just FABulous and now two Mercedes-Benz models, G55 and G63 AMG, have been lucky enough to get some improvements. Firstly, there is a power upgrade which enables the Mercedes-Benz G55 to boost 530 HP (390 kW) with a peak torque of 775 Nm (572 lb-ft) while the upgraded Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is capable of cranking out up to 620 HP (456 kW) and 820 Nm (605 lb-ft) of maximum torque.

The G-class remains one of the biggest attention-grabbers among tuners. Thanks to FAB Design, the four-wheel drive luxury SUVs gain one-off bodies which are crafted out of carbon fiber components. Precisely, the improvements on the outside are comprised of bespoke front and rear spoilers, tweaked side skirts and bigger wheel arches which can take advantage of 23-inch wheels in 305/55 R23 tires.

Even though the tuner hasn’t shared any images of the interior, they confirmed that the G55 and G63 AMG benefit from Alcantara and custom leather. What is more, inside there are accentuating carbon fiber elements as well. An additional storage room is possible thanks to the special tire failure which replaces the spare wheel.

What do you think of the reworked models? Are they better than before?

  • Vorsteiner Is Working On Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG

Vorsteiner-Mercedes-Benz-G63-AMG-THUMBVorsteiner Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is a pure muscular off-roader. It is equipped with the monstrous 5,461 ccm V12 biturbo unit beneath the massive engine hood. The power of the engine is rated at 612 hp (450 kW) and draws from a maximum torque of 1000 Nm (738 lb-ft). G63 AMG is the perfect example of how an antiquated German cross country vehicle can still look modern in today’s evolving automotive design. And Vorsteiner has definitely contributed towards that.

The vehicle still carries its authentic 35 year old styling. However, this G-wagon has been refreshed with Vorsteiner’s 22” VSR-163 Forged Monoblock wheels in Matte Brushed Shadow finish. They have been used for both front and rear.

The wheels have been fitted with a set of Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires in the appropriate dimension of 305/35/22. Vorsteiner still continues working on the vehicle and promises to add to it an aero kit.

The design studio has announced “behind the scenes” that this breathtaking G-wagon will be fitted with a carbon fiber front lip and rear spoiler. This of course will further reinforce the militaristic appearance of the G-Class. So we are expecting more info and images from the working process!

  • German Special Customs Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG Delivers More Power

German-Special-Customs-Mercedes-Benz-G63-AMG-THUMBGerman Special Customs Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is a pure off-roader with a monstrous 5,461 ccm V12 biturbo engine beneath the massive engine hood. Originally the engine’s power is rated at 612 horsepower (450 kW) and draws from a maximum torque of 1000 Nm (738 lb-ft).

The tuners at German Special Customs have created an optimization package for this Mercedes-Benz model, which enhances it performance. It is a multi-part broad construction kit that delivers not only a clearly more sportive appearance but also strongly expands the broadness of the G-class.

Firstly, GSC installed at the front a broad bumper bar, a new radiator cowling made of carbon fiber and a set of LED daytime running lights. Next, the engine hood look more massive due to an attachment made of carbon for the improved de-aeration of used engine air.

Massive wheelhouse expansions which run smoothly into the side skirt also contribute towards the broad appearance of the vehicle. In addition, the trapezoidal end-pipes made of stainless steel were integrated at the rear. At this part of the off-roader can also be seen a new rear bumper bar that matches the front as well as carbon cover for the spare tire in the rear.

What rounds-off the exterior are the external rearview mirrors and ventilation slits in the engine hood, all made of carbon fibre.

Another highlight in this project is that GSC has also enhanced the engine’s performance via software. The unit now develops 620 horsepower (455 kW). A modified exhaust system is also present.

What puts all this power on the road are the 23-inches forged rims fitted with special tires in the format 305/35 R23 on the four ends of the AMG chassis frame. The interior of the G63 AMG was also improved thanks to a black and red full-leather fitting and different ornamental carbon parts.
