2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class The refreshed Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe and Cabrio models are now available for order. Finally, enthusiasts and fans could enjoy the capabilities of C 200 AMG Line Coupe and C 200 AMG Line Cabriolet. Offered with new line of engines and additional optional goodies these two bad boys do deserve some further reviewing. So, let’s get started!

First of all, the C 200 comes with an agile 1.5-liter petrol unit with EQ boost, available with rear-wheel system and all-wheel-drive system when mated with 4MATIC gearbox. However, it is good to know that this combination is available only for coupe variant only. The engine itself produces a total of 184hp and 280Nm of torque and when the EQ boost is engaged, the horsepower rise to 198. Sweet, right?

On the other hand, C 220 d comes with a revised 2.0-liter diesel unit with 194hp and these massive 400Nm of torque. It emits 121 g/km of CO2, while the Cabriolet version achieves 58.9 mpg and emits 126 g/km.

C 300 features a bit larger 2.0-liter petrol unit with 254hp and 370Nm of torque and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in mere six seconds and chases a top speed of 279km/h. This unit emits CO2 emissions measured at 147g/km and can achieve a total of 44.1 mpg on the combined cycle.

Now let’s check out the top models in the lineup. We will start with the AMG C 43 4MATIC. It uses a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 petrol unit and generates a total of 390hp and 520Nm of torque. Furthermore, it sprints from 0 to 100km/h for 4.7 seconds and 4.8 for the Cabrio version. Also, both machines chase a top speed of 279km/h – it is good to know that this is electronically limited.

Buyers can choose from four finishes that include Black, Dark Blue, Brown and Red. And then there is this Premium Plus pack that includes everything from the Premium Pack and then adds 360 degree camera, Burnmester Surround system, Keyless-Go Comfort Pack and panoramic sunroof for Coupe only.

AEB system: is it that popular and important as they want us to see it?

2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe New car sales researches revealed what majority of people prefer when it comes to buying a new vehicle. Analyzed by independent researchers, results show that buyers mainly prefer cars with more safety features, but for some reason not everyone is into the Autonomous Emergency Braking. Interesting.

However, good thing is to know that people are heading towards safety, instead of some overall useless hi-tech tweaks, right? However, results show some mixed opinions as it comes to standard safety equipment. Although the first vehicles in the rank have great safety suites, also in the top 3 is the Vauxhall Corsa: a neat vehicle, but with twice as less safety stuff, compared with the leader in the list: the C-Class.

However, one of the most handy and reliable systems, the Autonomous Emergency Braking is available with all of the list with most popular cars. Some brands include it as a part of the standard equipment, others prefer to gear it optionally – with client’s personal preferences.

So, what are people into? Here’s the full list:

AEB is named Collision Prevention Assist Plus and is part of the standard equipment.

Volkswagen Golf
The good ol’ Golf lineup incorporates the system to almost all of its models as a part of the standard equipment. Fun thing is that VW does not offer AEB as an extra.

Nissan Qashqai
This one also incorporates the AEB system to almost all vehicles in the lineup, but also offers it as an additional feature.

Ford Focus
Coming by the name of Active City Stop, the system is fitted to surprisingly low number of vehicle models, but the good news is that Ford team offers it as a standalone feature for reasonable pricing.

Vauxhall Astra
The trustworthy Astra also appears to sort of not like the AEB: the vehicles, equipped with this system are as low as 34% of the whole range. Good thing is that AEB is optionally available.

MINI
The system also comes as optional extra and is simply named Driving Assistant.

VW Polo
Named City Emergency Braking, the AEB is available only as a part of the optional “ACC” pack.

Ford Fiesta
The Fiesta also does not incorporate the system as part of the standard pack and offers it as a standalone purchase.

Vauxhall Mokka
Although popular and reliable, the whole lineup does not feature AEB even as a standard feature.

Vauxhall Corsa
Just like the Mokka, Corsa lineup tends to not like the AEB: it is not available even as optional feature.

Geneva Motor Show to See Mercedes-Benz Dream Car Collection

Mercedes-Benz Dream Car Collection Above View The Dream Car Collection of Mercedes-Benz is going to be exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show and it will include brand new roadster and cabriolet models. Mercedes-Benz Expands C-Class Line-up

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Side View Five new entry-level models have been introduced to the C-Class family among which there are two four-wheel-drive variants. All new models will be offered in both Saloon and Estate trims. What’s new is the sporty interior trim that adds a sense of spaciousness as well as fuel-efficient powerplants. VATH Mercedes-Benz C-Class V18 has nearly 200HP to Share

VATH is a German tuning company which specializes in Mercedes-Benz transformations, if you wonder about it. Their latest modification involves a C-Class and a V18 tuning kit, which as you can expect endows the car with more power. And if your interest has grown you should definitely read further.

This kit has been applied to C180’s CGI T engine with more than 156 serial horsepower (115 kW). As a result the Mercedes is now capable of 192 hp (141 kW) and 300 Nm of optimum torque at 2,800 rpm. The maximum speed has also shifted to 230 kmph (140 mph).

No gain in power is that good without a new exhaust. Hence, the tuner decided to complement the silversih car with a sports exhaust comprising of down pipe system with 200 trimetal stainless steel cells and a two flood stainless steel axle back exhaust system with two oval end pipes.

Sporty BRABUS Refinments for the C-Class with AMG Line

Carlsson Tunes the AMG Version of Mercedes-Benz C-Class

However, what we haven’t seen yet is how the customizing specialists will handle the AMG version of the car. The stunning result of their work, 2014 Carlsson Mercedes-Benz C-Class AMG W205, is a re-interpretation of the sporty AMG Sports Package version, with a stunning conversion that comprising of an aerodynamic styling package.

This unit uses the same transmission as the previous one. Later this year more diesel and hybrid versions are also expected to be offered in the United States.

2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan US Pricing Announced

2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan has been shown for the firs time at the end of last year. Now the company is announcing the US pricing of the car, next to the already announced price tag of the new GLA. The C-Class will be launched later this month, while the GLA SUV – in September. The new generation C-Class is longer and wider than its predecessor. The total increase in length is due to the 80 mm longer wheelbase. This means that the rear passengers will enjoy an increased leg-room.

There are three trim levels of the 2015 C-Class: C300, C300 4MATIC and C400 4MATIC. Below is listed the exact US price of each. C300 4MATIC is driven by the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It generates 241 horsepower (177 kW) at 5,550 rpms and 310 Nm (229 lb-ft.) of torque at 6,500 rpms. The seven-speed automatic transmission immediately sends the power to the rear wheels.
