McLaren 570S Coupé by MSO Front ViewMcLaren 570S Coupe by MSO in a bespoke skin will be revealed at an event in France, called Chantilly Arts & Elegance. This will happen during the weekend, where the British automotive luxury brand will have the opportunity of showcasing the extravagant 570S as well as the legendary McLaren F1 GTR by César.

This particular model has been specifically designed to showcase different individualization options of the 570S. The car features Ceramic Grey paintwork and a lot of details that need attention. For instance there are a lot of carbon fibre exterior options that highlight the lightweight carbon chassis at the heart of the car.

Although the specifications of the engine haven’t been changed, it is still impressive. Here is why: the efficient 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 unit generates nothing less than 570PS (562bhp). This force accelerates this McLaren car from start to 100 km/h (62mph) in just 3.2 seconds. And note that the top speed is 328 km/h (204mph).

Next to the bespoke 570S Coupé, the company will also showcase the famous McLaren F1 GTR by César. Carrying the chassis #05R, this car is more than legendary, because it is one of the famous five examples of the McLaren F1 GTR that dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995. What is more, it is adorned by one of the most iconic motorsport liveries, which was created (literally created) by the French sculptor and artist César Baldaccini.

And if you happen to be somewhere in the vicinity of the event, go see those beauties!

  • McLaren 675LT with a Devilish 666 HP [VIDEO]

Set to make its premiere in Geneva, the newest McLaren product has already received its name and it is McLaren 675LT. The car inherits the spirit and ethos of its iconic predecessor  “Longtail’ but will combine it with blistering aerodynamics, optimized performance as well as increased downforce and reduced weight.

This modern interpretation of the 1997 McLaren F1 GTR Longtail promises to be the “lightest, the quickest, and the purest version of the range.” The automaker has made it clear that the model will be equipped with a revised twin-turbo V8 3.8-liter engine which is capable of producing the jaw-dropping 666 HP (496 kW). In consequence, thanks to these figures, the new McLaren model is proclaimed to be the most powerful one in the Super Series.

Still, the extra oomph won’t be the only thing that defines the devilish character of the 675LT. It also promises to arrive with a reworked body which can be distinguished by the special longtail treatment which is a tribute to the legendary F1 GTR Long Tail. No other details have been released so far but we were presented with a teaser video as a compromise. Nevertheless, it is just as scarce as everything else really. Spinning wheels and classic music in the background can hardly calm down the beating hearts of the people who are expecting to see the final product.

McLaren 675LT will be shown along with the exciting 650S and the Asia-only 625C models during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March.

  • McLaren 650S Le Mans: When History Cannot Be Forgotten

Quoting McLaren Automotive, “every one of the 106 models of the McLaren F1 built has a story to tell.” A story which often begins with „Do you remember the time when…“ and continues with the reveal of a memory of something that deserves to be fixed and preserved in time.

Twenty years after the the chequered flag was waved at the end of the 1995 race, five McLaren F1 GTR monsters crossed the line, winning 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 13th place. Marking this impressive achievement, five special editions of the McLaren F1, named the McLaren F1 Le Mans, are commissioned. Of course, each one of them is signifying the cars that finished back then.

The special edition of McLaren will be powered by the familiar 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 engine which will still produce unchained 641 HP and 678 Nm (500 lb ft) of peak torque. This run from 0 to 62 mph is achieved in 3 seconds, while the top speed is that of 207 mph.

With a design inspired by the race-winning #59 McLaren F1 GTR, the McLaren 650S Le Mans will inherit many of the iconic race-winner characteristics. For example, the anniversary car will feature the notable roof-mounted ‚‘snorkel‘ air intake and wing louvers. Combining the incredible tone of the 1995 car with a slightly modernized twist, the 650S Le Mans becomes an example of excellence and uniqueness.

Of course, there are updated components which further shape the presence of the limited edition model. Some of the carbon fiber features include: front splitter and rear bumper but there are also MSO-developed extended side blades and the distinctive MSO rear diffuser. The exterior of the F1 Le Mans has metallic Sarthe Grey paint color which is borrowed from the color of the race-winning McLaren F1 GTR. For additional exclusiveness there is a ‘Le Mans’ logo adorning the wheels and the trailing edge of the door blades. What is more, one-of-a-kind ‘Le Mans Edition’ lightweight wheels – 19-inch at the front, 20-inch at the rear – are fitted around the design of the motorsport rims used on the 1995 racers.

Inside, the car has black leather and Alcantara upholstery, with a pair of sports seats in black finish and contrasting McLaren Orange Alcantara in the center. Not betraying its nature, the automaker embosses another ‘Le Mans’ logo on the headrest of each seat, as well as on the floor mats.

Limited to 50 units only, the 2015 McLaren 650S Le Mans is priced at £244,500. Deliveries will begin in mid-2015.

  • Hamann memoR McLaren MP4-12C at Geneva

Hamann-memoR-MP4-12C-thumbApparently, upon the release of the McLaren MP4-12C back in 2011, there had been an outcry of discontent about its looks from the public. Visually, it hadn’t been able to live up to its power and performance they say. Deemed too bland and “evoraesque”? Well to those who feel under the weather when looking at a standard MP4-12C, there is a solution – It’s the memoR by Hamann which is currently making its debut within the halls of the 82nd Geneva Motor Show.

Roughly speaking, the memoR is a stylistically buffed MP4-12C. No performance upgrades, no chassis fiddling and no 20 or something inch tv’s inside. It’s simply with added “uniqueness” now, according to Hamann.

The main inspiration for the restyle was drawn from the 1995 LeMans winner, the McLaren F1 GTR. Obviously, they didn’t manage to put the driver’s seat back at the center of the cabin but were nevertheless on to something. Four ideas were tossed around when the people at Hamann got to work.

    1 Reduce the concave surfaces.

2 Integrate the defining F1 bits and pieces.

3 Add some GT3 elements as well.

4 Create an exciting contrast shade.

By “concave surfaces”, Hamann mean the border of the front air intakes, the cross section of the hood, the rear side panel and the sill area. All of them have been removed. Now we have a large front splitter, an air scoop at the roof, deep drawn door sills a rear wing and a diffuser. Three centered tailpipes finish the look… and the massive wheel arches with the wheels underneath. They too finish it off. Hopefully now nobody will complain about it. All points have been covered.

  • GEMBALLA to enter two McLaren MP4-12C GT3s

Setting yet another milestone in the year of its 30th Anniversary, GEMBALLA is proud to announce the debut of GEMBALLA racing. The new team will enter two McLaren MP4-12C GT3 cars in the 2012 motorsport season.

Team owner and GEMBALLA investor, Steffen Korbach, has hired Sascha Bert to manage his new motorsport venture. A well-known racing driver and instructor, Bert is a former German kart champion, Formula 3 and FIA GT driver, and has stood on the winners’ podium at the Nürburgring VLN 24-hour race amongst others. As Korbach said in Frankfurt today, “Sascha Bert is an absolute pro, and is ideally qualified to manage our new racing team.”

“We chose the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 because we think this car has the potential to be one of the season’s leaders,” Korbach explained. “We have also put together a team of drivers and mechanics who are proven winners. Racing is in our blood! We want to win!”

The GEMBALLA name has been synonymous with high performance, reliability and extraordinary qualities for 30 years. Now, 17 years after the McLaren F1 GTR won the gruelling 24-hours of Le Mans on its debut outing, GEMBALLA racing will capitalise on McLaren’s competition pedigree to mount its own challenge.

Race bred by a marque that has always been a front-runner in Formula 1, the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 incorporates world-class technology. Based on the recently launched MP4-12C supercar, the GT3 racecar features a 3.8-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine, bespoke racing gearbox, carbon safety cell, race front splitter, large fixed rear wing, optimised air vents at the front and a racing diffuser at the rear. The steering wheel with integrated display is an ode to Formula 1.
