  • mcchip-dkr releases speedy 485 HP Porsche 991 Carrera S

mcchip-dkr Porsche 991 Carrera S view from above Let’s go astray from the Golf GTI hype and talk about the latest project of the tuners at mcchip-dkr. It is based on a Porsche 991 Carrera S, which is not the typical car one would see on a daily basis (unless they own it). Since, mcchip-dkr is well-known for chip tuning, there is no doubt that the Porsche would feature more horses than its stock ones. Precisely, the software adjustment and development were accomplished on a high-performance SuperFlow AWD dynamometer type SF880. But to objectively see the result, we should first make a comparison.

Basically, the Porsche 991 Carrera S 3.0 has a stock output measured at 420 HP (309 kW) and 678 Nm (500 ft.-lbs) of torque. On this basis have stepped the specialists, thus developing two software optimization stages.

SEE ALSO: TIP-Exclusive creates one-off arty Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet

    mcchip-dkr Porsche 991 Carrera S speed/interior

The first level comprises only of “pure software”. The gains estimate 475 HP (349 kW) and 772 Nm (570 ft.-lbs.) of torque. The second level does feature software optimization as well as mcchip-dkr valve exhaust system with sport catalytic’s “made by Capristo”. The result is an output of 485 HP (357 kW) and 793 Nm (585 ft-lbs).

The changes however do not end here. The speedy Porsche is also equipped with something called PDK-transmission optimization. This means, the enforced up- or downshifting (kickdown) is deactivated, the up- and downshifting (+/-) works like the 991 GT3 and 991 Turbo. In addition, the maximum of the engine speed/RPM is enhances and there is faster gear shifting as well as a higher clutch pressure. At last, the KW-thread springs and the striking in-house vinyl design are there to be mentioned.

  • What Happens When You Optimize the Engine of BMW 220i and Turn it Into MC320 Project?

mcchip-dkr BMW 220i MC320 front and side viewThe original output of the BMW 220i that comes from the 2.0 liter-turbo unit is 184 horsepower (135 kW) and 366 Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque. With so much inner power the car is capable of producing no less than 235 mph. Although these numbers might seem pretty attractive to many, BMW fans aren’t easily satisfied when it comes to ‘taming the horses’.

This is why the specialists at mcchip-dkr have developed power and economy optimization for exactly this model. We know that they are very skillful in the software optimization, but this time there have been added some extra changes to make the car more attractive in terms of performance.

SEE ALSO: mcchip-dkr Mercedes-AMG GT S Likes Nothing Stocks

The result has been even called with the name MC320. And besides the level three software and the “MC320” upgrade, this project also features new turbocharger, highly efficient downpipe plus a 200-cell-sport-catalytic and a larger intercooler.

    mcchip-dkr BMW 220i MC320 Rear View

There are actually two “assembly kits” available. After the installation of the first one, the horsepower jumps to 255 HP (188 kW) power, while the Newton meters to (542 Nm) 400 ft-lbs of torque. The top speed jumps to 250 mph.

The alternative “MC320”-kit offers a total power output of 320 HP (235 kW) power and 590 Nm (435 ft-lbs) of torque and a max speed of 260 mph. The latter actually includes the level three software plus the “MC320”-upgrade for the turbocharger plus the downpipe and the 200-CSPI-sport-catalytic.

At last but not of importance are the new outstanding rims by MBDesign. They are of type LV-1 and come in 19-inch size and fitted with appropriate tires.  Driving dynamics have been aided by the KW-coilover suspension version three, while the visual appearance has been strengthened by unique foil-wrapping.

  • mcchip-dkr Mercedes-AMG GT S Likes Nothing Stocks

mcchip-dkr Mercedes-AMG GT Front Viewmcchip-dkr Mercedes-AMG GT and GT S can speak only of supreme power. And I am not talking about the stock horses of these unique vehicles. If you are well know to the work of the experts at mcchip-dkr, then you should also know what they are capable of. And it is nothing less than stock, if you know what I mean. And all thanks to the highly developed chip tuning they develop specifically for every project.

Strangely enough, mcchip-dkr thinks that AMG GT and AMG GT S are “underpowered”. Just to mention (and of course for a later comparison), the stock power of the GT variant is 462 HP (340 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of maximum torque, while its Vmax is positioned at 304 kmph (188 mph). If you wonder how much horses the GT S can push, there you go: 510 serial HP (375 kW) and 650 serial Newton meters. The top speed here is 310 kmph (192 mph).

As you can see the capabilities of the AMG 4.0 liters V8 petrol engine equipped with bi-turbo charger are enormous. The question is therefore is whether such chip tuning is necessary. As it comes to power, especially regarding such iconic cars, the answer should be always positive.

    When “Stock” is NOT Enough

mcchip-dkr Mercedes-AMG GT with uprated engine

With the help of software, the fellows at mcchip-dkr have created significantly more force for these two jewels. And note that the impressive end result is only due to the modifications of the engine map.

All right, after the uprating has been completed, these proud mcchip-dkr Mercedes-AMG GT and GT S can now show-off with same force. This means that the V8 in both can now produce up to 590 HP (434 kW) and 750 Nm (534 lb-ft) of optimum torque. The top speed was also enhanced to 320 kmph (198 mph). While the stock acceleration time for the GT S was rated at 3.8 seconds, after the power enhancement it has been reduced with 0.2 seconds to the staggering 3.6 seconds.

Well, this is a nice thing to do to your GT S, isn’t it?

  • Mcchip-dkr Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG is Called Project MC-800

Mcchip-dkr Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG Side ViewMcchip-dkr Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG is dubbed by the tuner Project MC-800. Of course, this has its reasons and as you can guess it says a lot about its horsepower. But if you are familiar with the work of the experts at mcchip-dkr, then you should know that they handle extremely well the software optimization. We also understood that they can make the so called “eco-optimization”, which will not only bring you significant performance upgrade, but it will also deliver great economy.

We all know that Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is not an ordinary vehicle. It is one of company’s iconic cars that have its roots right back in its beginning.

mcchip-dkr Power Upgrade for G63 AMG

The production version of this military inspired off-roader produces 544 horsepower (400 kW) and 760 Nm (561 lb-ft) of optimum torque. The Vmax is positioned at 210 kmph (130 mph). After the work of the specialists at mcchip-dkr the vehicle is now capable of pumping out 810 HP (596 kW) with 950 Nm (701 lb-ft) of maximum torque and 230 kmph (142 mph) of top speed.

To achieve these performance numbers, the tuner added to the engine the following components. First, they applied in-house made 4 software. Then followed the turbocharger upgrade, and the steel made conrod and turbo pipes. At last, the specialists added sports cats.

    Exterior

    G63 AMG with Huge Rubbers

In addition, there has been achieved a portal axle refitting for MC800. As a result, the off-roader id now 15cm higher from the ground and also 12cm wider at each side.  These additions are perfectly complemented by the Beadlock rims in 18 inches shod with off-road tires in 37×15.20R18 of size. These huge rubbers give the vehicle immense stance and perfectly complement its potent nature.

  • Porsche 911 Turbo S Gets MCCHIP-DKR Three-Stage Treatment

MCCHIP-DKR Porsche 911 Turbo S Side ViewMCCHIP-DKR is releasing its first project for the year. Better later than never, isn’t it? In particular, it is a three-stage program developed for the Porsche 911 Turbo S. So, obviously, the tuner was not satisfied with the characteristics of this car, especially with those regarding performance and it made this extensive program to give the 911 more horses. On one hand this is a great idea, but on the other … well, there is nothing I can thing of, so it is definitely a great idea.

First, we must start with car’s standard output, which is 560 HP (412 kW) and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) of maximum torque. The original maximum power stands at 318 km/h (197 mph).  Next, we have to mention some additional upgrades before discussing the three stage program. This Porsche has new KW coilovers and a special wrapping delivered by Breitung-Design.

Basically the first stage began with a software optimization only. The result is 600 HP (441 kW), 820 Nm (605 lb-ft) of maximum torque and V-max of 321 kmph (199 mph). Next, the stage two wasn’t achieved by the same means only, but there is also an additional Capristo sports exhaust system. The effect is 20 HP over the Stage 1, same torque and a very minimal increase of the maximum speed with only 1 kmph.

The top optimization of the 911 Turbo S is based on the previous two but adds professionally upgraded turbo charger. The end effect does not need a comment since it is 660 HP (485 kW), 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) and 328 kmph (203 mph) of maximum speed.

  • Mcchip-DKR Mini John Cooper Works With A 2.0 TFSI And DSG Gearbox

Mcchip-DKR-Mini-John-Cooper-Works-TFSI-DSG-shadowMcchip-DKR-Mini-John-Cooper-Works-TFSI-DSG-mediumHow often do you get to see some tuner house behind the scenes action? Most of the time it’s just figures and dyno graphs. Ever wondered what it takes to actually do a proper overhaul?

If you have, it’s your lucky day. The guys at Mcchip-DKR have the uncanny idea to lift and transplant a Volkswagen TFSI engine. The recipient? A Mini John Cooper Works. Apparently, the JCW Mini’s 208 hp and 261 Nm of torque just don’t make the cut. Mcchip are anticipating a much more volatile end product with 340 to 350 hp.

The Mini’s new heart, a VAG 2.0 TFSI engine, is supposed to get new pistons and rods before the transfer. A Stage 3 kit (VLN Package) should yeald the desired power output. The rest of the JCW drive train has also been scrapped in favour of a DQ250 DSG transmission and a Drexler differential lock.

Judging by the provided picture material, we’d reckon Mcchip are going through quite a lot of hassle. If, however, everything goes as planned, this should be one demonic piece of work.

  • MCCHIP-DKR Gives More Power To Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG

MCCHIP-DKR-Mercedes-Benz-A45-AMG-THUMBAfter the entire transformation of the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class one can not even recognize the car. It literally has nothing to do with the previous year-models and exudes class, sportiness and more masculine presence on the road. In February this year Mercede-Benz introduced the top model of the line-up – the A45 AMG.

The latter became an object of interest for the tuners at MCCHIP-DKR, who decided to give it more power. The production model is equipped with 2 liters-engine with twin scroll turbo and delivers outstanding driving characteristics on sport car level.

After the modification in terms of power that the specialists at the tuning team have made, the serial power of this A-Class was increased from 360 hp (265 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque up to 400 (295 kW) and 535 Nm (395 lb-ft) only via software optimization at Stage One.

At Stage Two, the power was increased up to 420 hp (309 kW) and 535 Nm (395 lb-ft) of torque with software optimization plus sports cats, while at Stage Three it reached a power range of 450 hp (331 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque an gained an additional turbocharger upgrade.

The power enhancement wasn’t the only modification done in this project. The tuners “touched” also the chassis of the A45 AMG with KW Clubsport coilovers. In terms of wheel-tire-combination, the car now runs on mbDesign KV1 wheels in size 8,5×19 inches matched with a Sport Maxx Race Dunlop tires in dimensions 235/35ZR19.

  • Porsche 997 Turbo S With Stage 3 Kit By McChip-DKR

McChip-DKR-Porsche-997-Turbo-S-THUMBMcChip-DKR Porsche 997 Turbo S is a vehicle which was tuned specially for track day events. The specialists at the tuning company McChip-DKR are proficient in the fields of power improvements and that is why they decided to give this sixth generation nine-eleven 2012 model some new characteristics.

The production Porsche is equipped with 3.8 Turbo DFI engine, but the McChip-DKR decided to improve it by giving it a Stage-3-Kit. Hence, the serial 530 horsepower (390 kW) and 700 Nm (517 lb-ft) of max torque were enhanced by a modified engine management with software adaptation, an exhaust system with sports cats and header designed by Michael SCHNARR from the CARGRAPHIC company.

The result is up to 600 horsepower (441 kW) and 815 Nm (605 lb-ft) of max torque as well as a mighty sound. Furthermore, to make it more safety due to the increase of power, the tuners have equipped the Porsche with HEGEMANN rollover cage.

In addition, the sliding roof has been exchanged against carbon top. The needed reduction in weight, typical for every sportscar modification, was achieved via the Makrolon material used for the manufacturing of the rear window.

In terms of chassis, there were utilized PASM coilovers delivered by Bilstein. The splendid wheel-tire-combination, consisting of original Porsche 997 GT2 RS rims with Michelin Cup tires was left untouched.

The interior of the vehicle was also transformed. To be more precise, the seats in the inner of the bolide have been changed with a sophisticated combintion of Alcantara and leather upholstered Recaro SPG shell type racing seats. Many car pieces were also painted in the color of the car.
