  • Maserati GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition Shows Pure Italian Style

    Maserati-GranTurismo-MC-Centennial-Range-THUMBMaserati GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition was introduced a month ago at the New York International Auto Show. With it the company adds to its unique high quality product range. Maserati is currently reaching into new high-potential markets because of the great demand for Italian style and performance. The new GranTurismo models are an embodiment of this technological and design philosophy.

    GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition is powered by the revered 454 horsepower (334 kW), 4.7 liter V8 engine. The car is being offered in Coupe and Convertible derivatives. What immediately catch the eye are the new three special ‘three-layer’ color schemes that were added to the four already available for the GranTurismo MC.

    In addition, there is a wide choice of wheels, with four special finishes for the MC and Trofeo designs. At the center of the wheels appears the medal-shaped centenary logo. The latter is available in two finishes: matte Smoke grey and Charcoal grey.

    For the interior of the cars is used black leather for the seats, dashboard and steering wheel. They are also strikingly offset by the red, white and blue of the full-length seat profiles and also include stitching in a color that mimics that of the laser engraved details on the wheels.

    Of course, carbon fiber can also be seen inside. It was utilized for the fittings on the dashboard, seat surrounds and a kick panel where the centenary logo takes place. GranTurismo MC Centennial Editon range will be available alongside the current line-up. Sales are scheduled to start in July 2014.

  • D2Forged Teases Novitec Maserati GranTurismo MC

    D2-Maserati-Granturismo-THUMBAlthough we haven’t heard for a while from the tuners at D2Forged Wheels we are now pleased to see a teaser image that they have released of their latest project. It is on already tuned Novitec Maserati Granturismo MC and promises to bring about more on-road thrill.

    Novitec Maserati GranTurismo MC is equipped with a special tuning package that offers a SUPERSPORT supercharged engine that generates 650 hp (475 kW) and 623 Nm (460 lb-ft.). This Maserati’s power comes from the 4.7 liter V8 unit, and everything mentioned contributes towards an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds on the way to a top speed of 306 km/h (190 mph).

    Now the specialists at D2Forged are making some modifications on the already tuned version of the GranTurismo MC. They have only revealed with what set of shoes this vehicle will be equipped – namely the D2FORGED CV11 in size 21×13.5″ and fitted with 355mm of Pirelli Gift wrapping. More information around this project is promised to be disclosed soon.

  • Maserati GranTurismo MC US launch

    Maserati has just added its top performance, road-legal beast – Maserati GranTurismo MC to the brand’s new stand-alone showroom in the prestigious TriBeCa area of New York.

    Representing the fastest series Maserati ever offered on the US market, the GranTurismo MC tops a maximum speed of 298km/h yet is capable to accelerate from standstill to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds flat. These amazing figures are all possible thanks to the GranTurismo MC’s ultra-fast transmission and the 4.7 litre all-alloy V8 power unit, which delivers the exceptional 331 kW at 7000 rpm and 510 Nm of peak torque at 4750 revs.

    Inspired by both the GranTurismo MC Stradale and the GranTurismo MC Trofeo race car, the new Maserati addition at the US market boasts tighter damping control and generate increased aerodynamic efficiency to improve ride height at higher speed without increasing the drag.

    The new Maserati GranTurismo MC will be officially unveiled during the FIA GT “Media Days” at the Paul Ricard circuit. The new model is an offshoot of the Maserati GranTurismo MC Concept introduced last September in Monza and based on the Maserati GranTurismo S road version, with electro-actuated gearbox system.
