BMW on steroids: Alpha-N Performance team can do it!

2016 Alpha-N Performance BMW M2 Coupe There is no surprise in the fact that the contemporary M3/M4 and M2 Coupe are the most popular and most desirable BMW units so far. The whole M lineup is somehow becoming mythical and there is a fine reason for that: these vehicles are just incredible. In any aspect they impress buyers and BMW enthusiasts and the best part is that the team not only keeps up the good work, but also finds new ways of improving these bad boys.

However, there are some who are still not satisfied by lineup’s incredible achievements. For example, the Alpha-N team decided to create something even more special: a vehicle that is both affordable and desirable. It combines the best from M2 Coupe models and GTS styling and spirit.

This new machine showcases powerful, yet stylish proportions and lines and at the same time impresses with new sporty components.

The upgrades include new carbon-fiber detailings, M4 GTS bonnet, ultra-light Kevlar as optional goodie, sporty spoiler and GT4-styled brake ducts. Also optional are the distinctive boot-mounted GTS-styled rear wings and the carbon-fiber roof.

Also, to complete the distinctive BMW appearance, Alpha-N uses black kidney grilles and side skirts from the Performance program and fills the wheel arches with neat 20-inch BMW M Competition alloys. Cool.

Maybe the Alpha-N fans have noticed that we have still not mentioned the revised drivetrain system. We simply decided to keep the best stuff for the final. The machine is geared with a might 3.0-liter straight-six TwinPower Turbo unit that delivers a total of 450hp (355kW). Also, the engineering team includes a Öhlins Road & Track suspension system that was further fine-tuned.

Eyes of Gigi: BMW’s Challenge for Fans and Enthusiasts

2016 BMW Eyes of Gigi BMW launches its “digital-first” campaign for the latest BMW M2 Coupe. “Eyes of Gigi” features of course, the latest M2 family member, along with the American supermodel Gigi Hadid, appearing for automobile advertisement for the first time.

As we have told you, the new BMW vehicle offers some outstanding agility and excellent performance rates that perfectly match the beauty and elegance of Gigi. The mastermind behind the scenes is indeed the renowned movie producer and screenplay autor Marc Foster, known for directing “James Bond – Quantum of Solace”, “Monster’s Ball” and “World War Z”.

The exciting video invites viewers to play different kind of “shell games”. As the film starts with Gigi climbing in one of three BMW M2 Coupes, the viewer must track Gigi and her chosen model. And after a short time, two more BMW M2 Coupes join in and make the task extremely difficult. But it is also fun.

Within a short space of time, two more BMW M2 Coupés join in and a fast-paced vehicle choreography begins – making the task virtually impossible. And as you have expected, at the end you must choose in which of the five vehicles Gigi is in.

The whole stunt was filmed in California’s Mojave Desert under the direction of Oscar-winning cameraman Mauro Fiore, known for directing masterpieces as “Avatar” and “The Equalizer”.

BMW M2 Coupe Gets Equipped with M Performance Parts

BMW M2 Coupe with M Performance Parts BMW M2 Coupe is finally getting its pack of M Performance Parts which enhance its aerodynamics, engine, cockpit and suspension. The new M2 is one of the top performance cars in its segment. In addition, its typical and charming extrovert design further underscores car’s dynamic character. Now, BMW is offering outstanding M Performance Parts for the M2 Coupe from March this year. Here are the details:

Aerodynamic Parts

The aero components contribute for an improved appearance and driving response. They are made of carbon-reinforced plastic (CFRP) and feature front and side sill attachments, rear diffuser and mirror caps. Except for the mirror caps, they optimize the airflow around the vehicle, for example, which improves handling and driving performance. The M Performance radiator grille comes in carbon too and includes integrated BMW M logo in the M colors (red, blue and light blue).

Options for Engine, Suspension and Brakes

Better sound is delivered via the M Performance flap silencer system. It features two operating modes Sport and Track can be set by Bluetooth. The flap exhaust system further enhances the car visually due to its high-gloss silencer unit including deep-embossed M Performance logo, tailpipes with a diameter of 80 millimetres and perforated inner pipe. Another option is carbon fibre tailpipe trim available for the M Performance exhaust system with a diameter of 93 millimetres.

M2 Coupé can be also fitted with M Performance coil-spring suspension, which reduces ground clearance by 5 millimetres. There is a coil-spring technology which can be used to lower the vehicle by an additional 20 millimetres. The shock absorbers can be also adjusted to 16 levels. This makes it possible for the driver to make their own suspension set-up according to personal preference.

M Performance sports brake pads with high resistance to thermal stress can stand extreme use. They also offer improved and more direct response than the standard ones.

Interior Options

The interior options for the M2 Coupe are all inspired by motorsport racing. The M Performance Parts cabin include LED door sill cover strips for the driver and passenger side, branded floor mats, stainless steel pedal covers, steering wheel with grip areas covered in Alcantara and three-colour M seam and the optional open-pore carbon fibre trim element.

There is an option of a steering wheel with race display and carbon fibre trim and integrated function display in the upper rim. In addition to the race display there is also a gear shift indicator: two bi-colour LED light strips on the right and left that run towards each other.

At last, the range of M Performance Parts for the M2 Coupe is rounded out with M Performance Interior Kit Carbon. It includes parts for the twin-clutch transmission gear selector level, centre console and handbrake handle and the M Performance interior trim finishers with their blend of Alcantara and carbon fibre.
