  • 2012 LUXGEN Sedan: The Family Car of the Future

    LUXGEN has already announced several vehicles featuring unique technologies. The LUXGEN7 MPV and LUXGEN7 SUV were only the start and the manufacturer is now setting its sights on the battleground of the medium-large sedan market.

    The LUXGEN5 Sedan, equipped with the latest innovative hTC technology, can be considered a milestone in the history of international auto design. The styling and design of the next-generation sports sedan will embody everything that has been developed for future cars. A first look of LUXGEN5 Sedan will be available at the LUXGEN exhibit during the 2012 Taipei Auto Show.

    The Luxgen5 Sedan has a superb 0.28 drag-coefficient, while successfully capturing the essence of a 2-door coupe. The perfect 2:1 ratio between the side panels and windows exemplifies the pursuit of “Surfacing Performance” in the styling.

    The engine range includes a 1.8 litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine.

    The new 1.8L VVT turbo is mated to an intelligent 5-speed automatic gearbox. A sophisticated hydraulic control system improves fuel consumption and power, which is 150PS (110 kW).

    The all-new 2.0L VVT turbo engine has 170PS (125 kW). It is coupled to an intelligent 6-speed automatic transmission. 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h (131 mph). The 6-speed gearbox also comes with Slip Control, minimizing wear and tear on the transmission and reducing fuel consumption.

    The LUXGEN THINK+ Touch system’s five key functions include Multimedia, Phone, Safety, Information and hTC mode. Apart from using the touch screen itself, shortcut buttons are provided below the screen for convenience. The most innovative feature is to access the NAVI GPS navigation function using the hTC mode. The user can therefore check the map and set routes in the car or on the road. The hands-free Bluetooth system means users can also make calls using the car’s convenient hands-free interface.

    The luxurious saloon has Intelligent Aerospace Cockpit with High-tech LCD/LED Dashboard and Jet Fighter HUD, Intelligent EPB Braking, LUXGEN’s Advanced Technology including Active Eagle View+ 360 surround imaging system, Europeanised Chassis Targets Safety and Comfort and the Best Crash Protection and Pedestrian Safety.

  • Luxgen Neora at the Auto Shanghai 2011

    Luxgen has exhibited several vehicles at the Auto Shanghai 2011: LUXGEN7 SUV, LUXGEN7 CEO and LUXGEN7 MPV EV+. However, the „rear deal” is the intelligent electric concept – Neora.

    “Neora perfectly represents LUXGEN’s brand spirit of Think Ahead, and the new form of appearance will be the design cues for LUXGEN’s upcoming models in the future. Its streamline flow, and the innovation of lightweight, as well as fuel economy, represent the novelty of LUXGEN’s energy saving future technologies. ” commented Mr. James Shyr, Executive Vice President of HAITEC from Yulon Group.

    Luxgen Neora is a FWD intelligent electric vehicle with 245PS (180kW) electric motor, which receives power from the 48 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The range is up to 400km, when it is fully charged and the performance is awesome – 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and top speed of 250  km/h. The curb weight of Neora is 1 600kg. It also features PDLC electric glass sunroof, infotainment system with an LED screen, ergonomic seating and head-up display.

    The exterior is staggering, mainly because of the headlights, which create the hi-tech visual effect and the minimum intake area decreasing the drag coefficient and achieving both aesthetics and energy-efficiency.

  • LUXGEN7 MPV EV – Zero Emission 7-seater

    Luxgen are ready to introduce their MPV EV+, which is absolutely ECO-friendly. It is the wolrd’s first 7-passenger electric vehicle, which generates no carbon emissions and delivers clean power when comparing with other fuel technologies such as LPG and hybrid power.

    The vehicle is developed by R&D and AC Propulsion (ACP), a world-leading electric vehicle pioneer. Luxgen7 MPV EV is powered by 240hp and 265Nm of torque AC induction motor accelerating the vehicle from 0 to 62mph in 8.6 seconds and a top speed of 90mph.

    The lithium-ion battery packs can offer the LUXGEN7 MPV EV+ over 200miles cruising range at a fixed speed of 25mp/h on a single charge. This means, that the electric van closed the performance and utility gap between an EV and a fossil fuel powered counterpart.

    Furthermore, the LUXGEN7 MPV EV+ features innovative technologies such as the power management and transformation center, PEU (power electronic unit), which integrates the induction motor, charger, battery management system, and the ability to convert kinetic energy into electricity via a regenerative braking system.

    The high performance lithium-ion battery pack, which provides a high endurance power supply for the entire vehicle through its modularized design, and could discharge excess electricity back into the power grid to balance electricity utilization during peak and off-peak times. The traction induction motor with its maximum power output of 180kW (approx. 240hp), offers LUXGEN 7MPV EV+ unprecedented driving enjoyment.

    The LUXEN7 MPV EV+ strikes an amazing EER performance which is 1.7 times higher than a hybrid and diesel vehicle, and 2 times higher than a gasoline-powered vehicle. Such efficient energy utilization places LUXGEN at the leadership position in offering the best eco-friendly transportation solutions.

  • Luxgen7 SUV is not only the largest, but the most intelligent

    Taiwan’s car maker – Luxgen is presenting its second model the LUXGEN7 SUV. The previous model LUXGEN7 MPV had huge success after its debut at the Dubai motor show. It achieved awesome sales volume which surpassing the sales volume of the entire Hyundai brand in Taiwan. Luxgen7 MPV is the first automobile ever to win the prestigious Taiwan Excellence Award.

    The dimensions of Luxgen7 SUV measure at 4.8 meters long, 1.93 meters wide and 1.76 meters in height, which put the vehicle on the top of its segment. (more…)
