  • Lumma Design Porsche Cayenne S CLR 558 GT – Contrast Program

Lumma-Design-Porsche-Cayenne-S-CLR-558-GT-THUMBThe latest model modified from Lumma Design is on their favorite Porsche Cayenne. We’ve seen so far many tunings by these folks made on this Porsche model.

Now what we are to see is the Contrast Program by the tuning company manifesting as the Lumma Design Porsche Cayenne S CLR 558 GT.

At first sight it impresses with its elegant combination of white and exterior elements in high-gloss black. This not only emphasizes the sporty and luxurious character of the car, but also conveys a sense of contrast thanks to the fine black accents.

In addition to the exterior package here, Lumma Design also included extended elements, such as door handles or headlight frames and tailgate handle which were lacquered in the same contrasting color.

At last, the wheel set featured here is the CLR 22 in individual color white. It expresses the powerful visual stance of the CLR 558 GT and works elaborately in conjunction with the electronic lowering module, resulting in improvement of the driving dynamics.

  • Lumma Go Through The Porsche Cayenne Range

    Lumma-Porsche-Cayenne-S-Hybrid-thumbLumma-Porsche-Cayenne-S-Hybrid-medium-1

That is an orange Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid. You also need to know that the German aftermarket wizards at Lumma Design are behind it. So much for the sensibility and practicality of your average hybrid.

It’s unclear how they have done it, but the combined power here amounts to 450. That’s a 70 hp increase over the stock model. The three-tube exhaust system might have some to do with the whole boost scheme. Or maybe it is just for show, complementing the exposed carbon fiber bits and pieces on the largely orange body. The 9.5×20-inch Lumma Racing 3 wheels are orange as well and so is the CLR 1 carbon fiber hood which has helped to trim down the fat. There might just be some sensibility left here.

Luxury however gains the higher grounds inside – leather and Alcantra in an equally flamboyant orange trim. Aluminum pedals and Lumma Design embroidered carpet mats complete the look.

    Lumma Porsche Cayenne Diesel
    Lumma Porsche Cayenne Diesel

But the exclusivity does not stop there. There’s the Porsche Cayenne Diesel which is an even bigger contradiction – 280 hp of power, four tailpipes 90 mm each and a set of 22-inch CLR alloy wheels. The CLR 2 hood is all exposed carbon fiber and so are some bits and pieces from the inside. And don’t get us started on the mad brick-red shade that dominates the exterior and the seats, and the seat belts, and the instruments. Friends and family alike will openly express their bafflement as soon as they hear the clutter of a diesel engine inside – “I thought diesel is for grayish people!”

    Lumma Porsche Cayenne Turbo
    Lumma Porsche Cayenne Turbo

There’s one Lumma Porsche Cayenne however, that sounds entirely purposeful. It’s the Turbo. Black and loaded with 6 pieces of exhaust tips, this Lumma lovechild boasts 600 hp. Black 22-inch wheels plus a full body kit adorn the base of the SUV. All the while, the same CLR 2 hood seen on the diesel, is present here just to round things up.

Inside, the Turbo gets a beige trim that’s based on leather. Complementing the luxury feel are the silver accents here and there and the aluminum pedals.

  • Lumma Design BMW M6

Lumma-Design-BMW-M6-thumbThe BMW M6 is not yet fully out but Lumma Design cannot wait any longer. Here’s a brief glimpse of what they intend on doing to it. Don’t worry, no Mses have been hurt during the process. Their idea is, quite unsurprisingly, is to make the new BMW M6 “even more” sporty and appealing.

How are they going to that? With carbon fiber of course. What we can see here is a complete aerodynamic kit comprising of bumpers, side skirts and vents and everything. The wheel arches are now flaring with their full force, and the carbon fiber hood leaves a lasting impression and hopefully, it saves weight. From the diffuser at the back, sticks out a Lumma central double-pipe exhaust system. Multi-piece wheels provided from the company measure up to 12.5×21. That’s a serious caliber.

On the inside, Lumma have made an effort as well. Once you step in, a mash up of leather, Alcantra and carbon fiber overwhelms you. Elegance plus Sportiness – it is a well known formula.

The BMW M6 with it’s bi-tubro V8 engine and it’s 412 kW of power go out on sale near the Fall. Lumma Design plan to bring out their own BMW M6 by the end of this year.

  • Lumma Porsche Cayenne CLR 558 GT and Trailer

Lumma-CLR-558-GT-and-Sport-Trailer-thumbLast year Lumma gave to the world an overhauled Porsche Cayenne known as the CLR 558 GT. It looked, and still does, like it’s been fed with steroids throughout it’s whole life: a chubby aerodynamic kit, a hunkered down stance and some extra muscle under the hood. Now, why not have something that goes along with it? It’s the Lumma Sport Trailer… really?

Let’s start with the workhorse first, just to refresh our memory. With some powertrain witchcraft, Lumma have managed to pump the power, of the otherwise unassuming 240 hp, 6-cylinder diesel Cayenne, to 276 horsepowe and 630 Nm of torque. Subsequently, the CLR 558 GT can be quite sonorous, especially with the four, 90 mm tail pipes that stick out the back. Under the wheel arches one would find 10×22 and 12×22-inch Lumma sport wheels while inside, extensive use of Alcantra and carbon fiber is rather visible. Add to that some crafty stitching work, wood veneers and aluminum here and there and you get a premium cabin which would suit perfectly to someone who goes, let’s say, water skiing every Sunday.

That’s why Lumma have decided to also offer you a trailer. It has “Sports” in it’s name supposedly because of the lightweight construction that incorporates aluminum, carbon fiber and plastic. And how about those wheels? They look like the offspring of the bigger ones. Cute. According to Lumma, it is also fairly flexible (in the practical sense) – Jet skis, quad bikes, Ski-Doos, you name it, Lumma will make room for it. The design ques are obviously taken directly from the Lumma CLR 558 GT so one wouldn’t look too awkward while driving around in town with the whole set. There are even options for it. Integrated electric winches, retractable ramps and a fully customizable exterior design can all be negotiated.

  • LUMMA Design Porsche CLR 9 S to debut at 2012 Geneva Motor Show

LUMMA-Design-Porsche-CLR-9-S-ThumbThe tuning company LUMMA Design is going to preview what they have done on the Porsche Carrera 911 S for the first time. The project carries the name CLR 9 S and has aerodynamic package, beautifully designs light alloy rims and an attractive interior. Of course, the tuners have put a lot of attention on the details and this was made with the help of their CLR aerodynamic components. In particular, the front spoiler lip with integrated cup-spoiler sword is now combined with the CLR-design front grill frame. This undoubtedly this gives the LUMMA Design CLR 9 S very unique appearance. In addition, there have been included stylish headlights which add even further to the design. The overhanging fenders at the rear of the CLR 9 S are additionally emphasized by a three-part spoiler lip, which also provides increased down force at the rear axle. This results in improvement of the handling at high speeds.

With the installation of LUMMA Design four-pipe sports muffler made from a high-quality V4A-alloy and the matching tailpipes with a 90-millimeter diameter, the vehicle is now even sportier. The tailpipes, with their unique “pipe-in-pipe” design are also available individually, just like the CLR 9 S aerodynamic components, which are produced in OEM quality. Additionally, the LUMMA Design rear sports muffler is also available with valve control, which produces the gritty flat engine sound in an even more dynamic fashion. Of course, all this comes with an attractive exterior racing stripe kit. Furthermore, the Porsche sits on the unique LUMMA Edition “GS/R” Edition Sports Rims which are forged light-metal alloy rims. With a weight of just 9.4 kilograms in the 9 x 20” version and 11.4 kilograms in the 12 x 20” variant, the “GS/R” forged rims are truly lightweight. They are also available in tow colors – silver and black. The wheels of the LUMMA Design CLR 9 S measure 9 x 20 inches at the front and 12 x 20 inches at the drive shaft. High-performance tires measuring 245/30-20 and 305/30-20 are installed at the front and rear respectively.

LUMMA Design has used of course only high-quality materials combined with the finest craftsmanship in the transformation of the interior. In details it is full leather interior: a mix of red leather and black alcantara. The two-color finish in leather and alcantara can be seen on the dashboard, sports steering wheel, roof, door panels, central console and the many other interior features. Everything is wrapped in leather and alcantara, except for the aluminum pedals and the white instrument panel. In addition, the range of sophisticated accessories from LUMMA Design is also exquisite: the door sill panels are made of aluminum, there is also include leather-trimmed velour mats and interior panels in embossed carbon leather. The aluminum pedals are fitted with rubber studs, rendering them highly slip-resistant. The steering wheel on the other hand is all covered with alcantara.

With the worldwide debut of the LUMMA Porsche CLR 9 S at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, LUMMA Design will present a completely modified Porsche Carrera 911 while remaining true to the original Porsche design.

  • LUMMA Design BMW 650i

Lumma-BMW-650i-thumbDesign House Lumma will take part in the 82nd Geneva Motor Show by showcasing a CLR 600 GT. You would be forgiven to think that such a name can only come after crossbreeding a Mercedes with a Ford  but the thing is, that underneath the branding and aerodynamic fitments we have a BMW 650i

The Lumma people seem to be attracted to cabriolets as the 650i is the sixth open-top to come out from their works. The company has left its mark on the body with a subtle aerodynamic kit that consists of a front spiler with LED daytime running lights on it, some side skirts and a diffuser at the back. These additions are said to “give the BMW Cabriolet a sporty appearance…” but giving a sporty appearance to a BMW 6-series is like importing ice cubes to Antarctica. From underneath, four, stainless steel pipes (90 mm in diameter each) give away the custom flow muffler. But even if you do not catch a glimpse of the posterior, you will most certainly hear it roar. Four are also the Black Lumma GTB Monoblock alloy rims wrapped with Vredestein Ultra-High-Performance 255/35-20 tires at the front and 285/30-20 ones at the back. The dark finished racing spokes present, reveal contrasting yellow brake calipers for that extra daring feel.

Lumma BMW 650i (CLR 600 GT)
Lumma BMW 650i (CLR 600 GT)

Speaking of daring, we cannot omit mentioning the Lumma tweaks on the BMW‘s power plant. The TwinPower V8 which usually produces 408 bhp has underwent some engine electronics overriding and now we have a 490 restless horses ready to go out. Torque has also been revamped and now it peaks at 720 Nm. This performance upgrade will benefit acceleration but in terms of top speed the limiter stays at 160 mph (5 mph more than standard).

Inside there is enough leather and Alcantra to shock even a fashion designer. The pedals flash from down under with their aluminum shine while the floor and trunk mats are from velour. A “Lumma” inscription on the glove box lets you know that there are people out there who think for you and your dream to be an exclusive individual in an exceptional car.

  • 2012 Lumma CLR 558 GT Porsche Cayenne

2012 Lumma CLR 558 Porsche Cayenne ThumbLUMMA DESIGN has recently released one of their latest tunings of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo under the name CLR 558 GT and now is aiming towards the diesel versions. It was improved to the performance power of the 600 hp (441 kW), and in it was mounted a broader CLR 558 GT aerodynamic kit. The exterior of the vehicle is painted in gloss black and is complemented with the CLR 22-inch wheels by LUMMA Design, also in black. LUMMA Design is also made modifications on the chassis, the sound and the interior.

The German tuners are offering now increased performance for this Cayenne Diesel. The tuning group improved the diesel engine with D-Power-Box, which is an additional electronic system and now draws out a whopping 280 hp (206 kW) instead of the standard 245 hp. Hence, the torque increases from 550 to the tremendous 630 Nm (464 lb-ft). As usual, LUMMA Design continues to offer an increased performance for the 4.8-liter V8 turbo gasoline engine by a moderate 100 hp (74 kW) or by considerably more horsepower to 600 hp (441 kW). In addition, LUMMA Design sports muffler guarantees a sportier rear appearance, thank to the highly-visible and centrally-positioned 80- and 100-mm-diameter tailpipes. For vehicles with a tow bar, the tuner will soon offer a 4-pipe exhaust system with left and right 4x100mm tailpipes. Moreover, for gasoline engines, there is provided a complete, stainless steel sport exhaust system.

To go further into details, the LUMMA Design Body Kit CLR 558 GT consists of a front spoiler with fog lights and LED daytime lights in extravagantly-formed air inlets plus racing grill, a rear valance with diffuser optics, powerful front and rear fender extensions, new side skirts and the lettering “CLR 558 GT”. All components are largely made of PUR-RIM in OEM quality. In addition, this body kit can be improved by other supplementing components, such as tailgate spoiler that can be easily adhered to the tailgate. Next, the headlights of the CLR 558 GT are refined by a set of headlight covers. There is also a set of covers for the rear lights. They light up when the doors are opened or unlocked and show the passengers the way into the vehicle.

For the complete wheel sets there is a choice of two 22-inch options. The first wheel set includes new 10- or 12×22-inch sports rim LUMMA “CLR 22” in matte black or silver; and the second wheel set, named “Racing 3”, has a single-piece rim featuring a multi-piece look and glossy polished stainless steel outer rim.

Furthermore, LUMMA Design achieves a slightly lower center of gravity and more agile handling. This is due to the installation of an electronic lowering module or lowering springs, depending on which option the Cayenne has.

The interior of the Cayenne is improved by two-tone leather and Alcantara upholstery. There is also featured a wide range of additional accessories. Designed ergonomically and produced with elegant. The bicolor black-red leather interior, combined with Alcantara with contrasting color stitching, captures the attention immediately. The classic red seat belt completes the perfect look. The cockpit includes colored instrument dials in red as well as stainless steel door scuff plates with an illuminated LUMMA logo. The pedals and the foot rest are also transformed with aluminum. There is also included a foot mat made of high quality velour with an embroidered emblem and real leather edging.
