  • Lexus reveals new 2020 IS F SPORT Blackline edition models. Check ’em out!

    2020 lexus IS F SPORT BlacklineLexus team announces new Blackline Special Edition lineup, based on the IS F SPORT trim level. Limited to mere 900 units, 2020 IS F SPORT Blackline Special Edition is already available for purchase and comes with a rear-wheel driver or all-wheel drive system. Let’s check out more, shall we?

    The Blackline Special Edition comes with key exterior and interior features that make the IS lineup even more exclusive. There are new 18-inch split spoke wheels with black vapor chrome finish, black chrome front grille surround along with black exterior mirrors. Furthermore, IS F SPORT Blackline Special Edition will be available in three exterior colors – Obsidian, Ultra White and Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0.

    The darkened theme is also present in the cabin. The exclusive black-and-gray seats feature Indigo Blue stitching, while the exclusive wooden steering wheel fits neatly the Indigo Blue accents on the door switch panels and glove box.

    Each of the 900 machines is equipped triple-beam LED headlamps, Navigation System and Blind Spot Monitor. Additionally, for 2020 IS F SPORT Special Edition models come with SmartAccess as part of the standard equipment.

    In terms of interior, new machines are geared with an agile 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder power unit that generates a total of 241hp and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The AWD versions use a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 260hp and a six-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.

  • First Official Images Of 2014 Lexus IS Revealed!

    2014 Lexus IS - FrontThe awaited 2014 Lexus IS has just been officially revealed with exclusive new photos. They show its powerful and elegant exterior and interior styling, and a cabin that is more spacious. The images are being released before the official world’s first appearance of the model at NAIAS on 15th of January.

    The new Lexus model follows the design philosophy of the LF-CC Concept but displays its own interpretation of the spindle front grille arrangement. At first glance, the IS exudes power, elegance and a stronger brand identity.

    Observed from one side, the vehicle shows the mass of the cabin concentrated towards the rear, with a rising line flowing from the blower body into the rear lamp clusters, adding more elegance and dynamism.

    The headlamp cluster design is also something new and it includes Lexus’s signature L-shaped daytime running lights that are presented independently below.

    2014 Lexus IS - Interior

    Next, the interior of the car’s cabin has clean and elegant design, which leaves the feeling of luxury. The model now has a longer wheelbase which delivers more comfort and offers greater luggage capacity.

    In particular, the thinner front seat design and the extended wheelbase ensure that there is more knee-room and access in the rear. The new rear seats also have a 60:40 split-folding function. In addition

    Furthermore, the driver’s seat also has a new design and offers more comfortability and better lateral support. The seat hip point and the angle of the new steering wheel are lower, and the steering wheel’s reach adjustment has been increased, giving a more sporting driving position.

    As you can see from the images, the materials used in the cabin are high-quality and they are complemented by advances in HMI technology and the introduction of a high-quality analogue clock. The centre console controls include electrostatic switches that need just a finger touch to adjust the air conditioning temperature.

    The new 2014 Lexus IS F Sport models can be immediately recognized because of the special design of their grille and front bumper. The “waistline” of the spindle-shaped grille is set higher compared to standard models, thus creating a larger lower grille that can draw in the greater volume of cooling air needed for sportier driving.

    What is more here is that there is also included exclusive seat design which provides extra support for the driver. The seats are made using an integrated foaming method that ensures there are no gaps between the upholstery and the filling, giving both excellent comfort and great lateral holding.

  • Lexus IS 250C F Sport Adds More Style to the Line-Up

    Lexus-IS-250C-F-Sport-THUMBLexus IS 250C F Sport is in fact the eleventh sport model which the brand will launch. However, it isn’t going to be in a coupe disguise, but in an exciting convertible one.

    The IS 250C F Sport will include a range of visual and dynamic enhancements over the standard trim. Some of them will feature unique suspension calibration, wheel package and revised interior and exterior styling.

    First, the suspension upgrades concern the overall handling dynamics of the vehicle. This means that the Lexus will now have even better front and rear suspension, which will deliver more precise handling. Here the changes made include in particular new bushings, revised damping characteristics, unique rear stabilizer bar and enhanced spring rates.

    Next to the improved driving dynamics of the car are the exterior and interior styling packages. For instance, exterior-wise the cabrio comes with 10-spoke graphite-look 18-inch alloy wheels, unique mesh grille and lower lip spoiler with F Sport fog lamps.

    On the other hand, what’s new around the interior is the black leather accented seats with contrasting perforations and stitching, F Sport steering wheel and gear lever, scuff plates and a black roof lining.

    Some of the optional features here include Pre-Collision safety System, Active Cruise Control and Mark Levinson Audio. In addition to the introduction of IS 250C F Sport, the entire IS convertible range will get enhancements in terms of navigation, audio, voice control and Bluetooth systems.

    The addition of our eleventh F Sport model reinforces the strength of the line-up. Just as a reminder, Lexus have featured F Sport models across the CT, IS, GS and RX lines, and is going to launch such in the LS 460 and LS 600h.
