As you might have expected from Kahn Design team, this Santorini Black gem deserves applause. Here’s why!

This lucky Range Rover was granted with new 600LE front and rear bumpers that not only contribute to an overall sexy and muscular expression, but also underline the original Range Rover design concept. We should say that Land Rover team knows how it’s done on the first place.

Further additions include a double-vented front grille, large 9.5×22-inch RS600 wheels and neat stainless steel quad cross-hair exhaust system with numerous aluminum inserts, exclusively created by Kahn design for this one project. Neat!

Overall, the exterior catches the eye with this all-black body finish. The metallic paint is not accented in any kind by any other colors or finishes, except the Silver Platinum wheels. Frankly said, we do like this straightforward one-tone body cover – it heavily contributes to the overall muscular and super-luxurious appearance. And the best part? Well, in our opinion, this is the fact that Kahn Design crew did not try to hide the original expression of the vehicle: every single original detail, curve and line is still present, just a bit enhanced.

Now we are talking! Usually Land Rover machines deliver hi-end cabin styling, but we must admit that Kahn Design have placed their trademark in this one in such a way that even the original design cannot match tuner’s incredible vision and performance.

There are numerous stainless steel inserts, incredible new seats, covered in black leather and showcasing unique trimming. The main thing that makes this cabin unique is that Kahn Design has removed everything that is needless. Driven by the motto “perfection is not achieved by having nothing more to add, but having nothing more to remove”, the team presents us clean, stylish and functional interior.

Needless to say, it is dominated by the color black and offers numerous exclusive goodies: aluminum pedals, numerous Kahn Design badges and a choice of individual painting for certain details. Neat!

2017 Kahn Design Land Rover Defender London Motor Show Edition After 68 years and two million units sold, Land Rover Defender continues to be the icon of the whole brand. And there is a fine reason for it: this machine is simply incredible. Whenever you want to impress with brutal styling or reach the unreachable route, this vehicle is always there to aid you.

And in order to mark Defender’s might, London Motor Show team has personally asked Afzal Kahn himself to create unique and limited edition model that would fit brand’s attitude and show’s appearance. And as you might have figured out already, Kahn Design team has made the job impeccably.

Named “London Motor Show Edition” this vehicle catches the eye with French Racing Blue body finish and tons of exclusive features. So, let’s waste no more time and see what this bad boy has to offer.

Massive, muscular and expressive. These are the only words that could describe the appearance of the machine. However, we will delve into further details. The first thing that impressed us was the simplicity and straightforward styling concept. We see clean lines, one-tone finish and of course, all the charming 90-degree angles.

There is a stainless steel front bumper with Tron Ring lights, aluminum sump guard and Shadow Chrome headlights that altogether contribute to this one-of-a-kind expression. Other notable features include Shadow Chrome headlights, mesh bonnet vents, revised rubber mud flaps, privacy glasses and of course, Chelsea Truck Company branding.

The cabin welcomes everyone to a rather fancy place. It is both straightforward and simple and yet comfortable and functional. There are heated GTB sporty seats that are further trimmed with quilted and perforated leather that adds a kick to the overall luxurious feel.

Drivetrain system

There are some changes done under the hood too. Kahn Design team has revised the suspension system with uprated gas shock absorbers and neat steering damper. The 2.2-liter turbo diesel power unit reaches a total of 170hp (126kW) and benefits form Chelsea Truck Company’s own power module that plugs into the engine’s OEM connection points.

And all of this is topped with neat 9×20-inch Mondial alloys in Volcanic Black. These beauties are wrapped by 275/55/20 tires. Cool, isn’t it?

2017 Kahn Design Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR Here’s something that we did not share with you. One more mighty Range Rover that have undergone a surgery by Kahn Design. Why we have missed out this one you might as. Well, we decided that we would wait a bit, in order to reduce the hype, but the truth is clear: this one is rather fascinating!

This time the lucky vehicle is a Range Rover Sport SVR. The already exceptional machine received numerous upgrades and changes that altogether redefine the characteristics of both brands. So, let’s see what this bad boy has to offer!

The most apparent changes are done onto the body: Kahn Design team has added neat ABS polymers, aggressive front splitter, wider wheel arches and neat exclusive Kahn 23-inch RS alloys.

Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Buyers will be dealing with sweet Volcanic Rock Satin finish that contributes to stealthier and more menacing looks. This aura is further enhanced by rear deck lid spoiler, new roof wing and some elegant custom color details. Neat.

A personal Autobiography by Kahn Design. Masterfully executed!

2017 Kahn Design Range Rover 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography Kahn Design team showcases a rather sexy vehicle: Kahn Range Rover 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography LWB LE. As you know, this is a luxurious SUV that has caught the eyes of both enthusiasts and sceptics, but as it seems, Kahn Design team was not that impressed and decided to have a tweak here and there.

The final result? Pure eye-candy in black. The project is led personally by Afzal Kahn himself and as always, we see a rather stunning final result: precision-designed carbon-fiber components, all along with Luxury Edition bumpers, blended with exclusive fog lights and 3-D mesh inserts that do make the difference.

You might ask what exactly has impressed us? Well, the masterfully executed simplicity and elegance. Here, we said it! As it seems, we are part of these who find “less is more” motto quite attractive.

Further enhancements include large 9.5×22 lightweight wheels, new brake calipers and stainless steel quad cross-hair exhaust system. All these additions contribute to the neat elegance, but also add a bit of sporty and aggressive kick. And in case that there are still people who are not satisfied, Kahn Design also offers exclusive and yet optional Silver Platinum wheels with special 285/35/22-inch tires. Sweet, isn’t it?

Above and Beyond: Vilner’s unique 20th Anniversary project is finished. And it simply stunning.

2016 Vilner 20th Anniversary Land Rover Range Rover As we have told you, our friends from Vilner have prepared something special about brand’s 20^th anniversary. After they successfully hyped us with some teaser pictures, now they reveal us the final product: a fully revised and masterfully upgraded 2009 LR Range Rover Sport. As we have told you, this vehicle has a rather interesting story: It was originally given to the winner of “Britain’s Got Talent”, who a bit later sold the car to a new owner, who decided to tweak it a bit and gave it to the best out there: the tuners at Vilner.

The key word in this project is Alcantara. Being more precise, designers have used a special hand technique to achieve a certain feeling of comfort and luxury. Also, this is the first time that Vilner have used this kind of technique. It adds this sweet 3D presence, but at the same time does not insist on being too luxurious or being “too much”.

In fact, the team has managed to achieve the perfect balance: the team has applied the Alcantara on certain key places in the cabin: air vents, central console, doors, sun visiors and more. The rest of the interior detailing is covered in soft white and brown leather, stitched with the opposite color threads. Sweet.

Also, there are many authentic Vilner stamps that are present only on brand’s most exclusive and special projects. Along them there is also special black Alcantara that has been used on some of the plastic components. It is present on the central mirror housing, steering column and the dashboard sides.

In terms of exterior styling we should mention that Barugzai’s exclusive body kit has been kept intact. What Vilner team has changed, though, are the rims: the vehicle is now geared with 22-inch Gun Meal Grey Matte sweeties.

And last, but not least, Vilner has added and a special 20^th Anniversary present: a bag. Brown seat belt strap, carbon fiber buckle and thinned Alcantara. Along with special metal stamp that ensures the exclusivity and uniqueness of the project itself.

2017 Range Rover Sport comes with a promise for flexibility and quality

Enhanced drivetrain system with neat design tweaks

Land Rover reveals its most efficient Range Rover Sport vehicle, produced so far. 2017 Range Rover comes with revised Ingenium engine, tweaked infotainment system and new semi-autonomous driving technologies. Sweet. But let’s see more in details, shall we?

For 2017 Model Year, Range Rover Sport will show-off with new 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ingenium diesel power unit, created at Jaguar Land Rover’s plant in Wolverhampton. Also available for Discovery Sport and Evoque models, this new piece of technology will try to beat its predecessors with improved efficiency, quality and of course, improved acceleration rates.

Buyers will also be pleased to know that Land Rover also offers and a more powerful 3.0-liter V6 supercharged petrol unit with some more sporty characteristics: some of the most important are 340hp (253kW) and 450Nm of torque. Cool.

Good thing to hear is that Land Rover also introduces new system, along with the engines. After all, why do we need a single power unit, when it is not combined with adequate safety and control functions?

Engineering team proudly introduces Advanced Tow Assist, Blind Spot Assist and Intelligent Speed Limiter systems that work in ideal harmony with rest of the drivetrain components for enhanced levels of comfort and safety. Honestly, we are not sure about how much these additions were needed, but they are already present, so it is a good idea to check them out.

The semi-autonomous additions in details

The first one, the Advanced Tow Assist technology is the first-in-class system that utilizes an already existing cameras and central touchscreen multimedia that together allow the driver to indicate the planned direction and then let the vehicle autonomously steer and drive accordingly. Cool.

The second addition, the Low Traction Launch, aids the driver in any kind of tricky road situations as driving in mud, wet roads or even ice. Once it is engaged, the Low Traction Launch controls the amount of torque the driver applies, when pressing the accelerator. Land Rover team claims that this is the way to add just enough power and flexibility to exit every tricky situation with optimal confidence and fuel efficiency. The question remains: was this technology really a must, or did engineers have way too much free time?

Also new for the upcoming 2017 Model Year is the All-Terrain Information Centre, accessible via the main touch screen. Its main purpose is to show some vital information about road conditions, vehicle health and drivetrain function analysis. Along with it the engineering team adds comprehensive safety suite: there are Front & Rear Park Distance Control, Cruise Control, Speed Limiter and Lane Departure Warning. Sweet. Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. Exclusively for 2017 model there is also Autonomous Emergency Braking.

Exterior tweaks

Of course, there are some changes here and there to mark the general changes in the drivetrain and safety systems. A new Bright Pack is optionally available and adds vivid finish, Atlas Silver front grille mesh and Atlas Silver bonnet mesh. Also, there are a total of 19 new premium colors and different sets of wheels and additions.

The most powerful Range Rover is here. Meet the 550HP potent SVAutobiography Dynamic [w/video]

Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic is the latest addition to the 2017 Model Year lineup

This is the most powerful Range Rover up to date, which has just joined the 2017 lineup. For those impatient and interested to see and drive the model, the sales will start during the last quarter of this year. But before you head for the stores, there are some important details that will fire-up your excitement even more.

The first thing we have to mention is the additional engine, which the model gets. Besides the standard 550HP V8 supercharged unit, the SVAutobiography Dynamic is now optional with Jaguar Land Rover’s 3.0 litre V6 supercharged petrol engine.

If you go for the first one, then your SVAutobiography Dynamic will be the most powerful Range Rover on the road. The V8 not only produces 550HP, but is also capable of 680 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a ZF’s eight-speed automatic transmission, thus ensuring it is possible for the SUV to make it from 0 to 60mph in just 5.1 seconds. The top speed is 140mph. The additional engine, the V6, pumps out 340 PS and 450 Nm of torque, helping the vehicle produce a 0-60 time of 7.1s.

Many new technologies aid the performance of this Range Rover, too. To name a few, some of the standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) include the Rear Park Distance Control, Cruise Control and Speed Limiter, Lane Departure Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).

A cool option however, is the ‘Drive Pack’. Besides the existing features like the Blind Spot Monitor, it also adds technology such as the Intelligent Speed Limiter. The latter utilizes Traffic Sign Recognition hardware, which automatically adjusts the vehicle speed. Another option is the ‘Drive Pro Pack’, which adds Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist and Intelligent Emergency Braking.

Advanced Tow Assist and Low Traction Launch are also new features which will take any anxiety out of the difficult task when towing a trailer. More importantly, Jaguar Land Rover is now introducing for its 2017 lineup the ‘InControl Touch Pro’ infotainment system with improved satellite navigation and larger 10-inch dual-view touchscreen display.

New exterior colors will freshen up the 2017 Model Year Range Rover. With the help of Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations division, the most popular SUV is now getting an addition of 19 new metallic and pearlescent shades, which are also available in gloss or satin matte finishes.

Well, besides what’s new the SVAutobiography Dynamic, will make you stand out on the road. It shows-off with these unique exterior features: side vents, bonnet finisher, grille, front bumper accents, ‘Range Rover’ script and tailgate finisher. Not forgetting to mention that the SUV is running on a 21 or 22-inch alloys, which can be chosen in one of three finishes. Behind them sit the eye-catching red brake calipers and Brembo brakes.

Chelsea Truck Company and Kahn Design impress with Defender London Motor Show Edition

The iconic Defender gets exclusive stylish upgrades

Billing Land Rover Fest happened a week ago at Northampton’s Billing Aquadrome, and there were many interesting cars to view. A real jewel among them is the featured Land Rover Defender, which was on display at Kahn’s stand. In the project took also part the specialists at Chelsea Truck Company, thus making it stand out even more. So, the showcased iconic Defender 90 includes vast range of stylish interior and exterior updates. Here are the details.

Exterior

On the outside the extinct vehicle is painted in Santorini Black. At the front, it features Kahn’s special front bumper with Tron lighting, Satin Black sump guard fitted alongside the X Lander front grille. And have you spotted the mesh hood vents?

On the opposite side the rear is governed by the very special edition of the Chelsea Truck Company’s spare wheel cover. Both the front and rear include Satin Black wide wings with body colored arches, integrated vents and exposed bolt apertures. The twin cross-hair exhaust system and hard-wearing mud flaps serve to improve the aesthetics of the Defender.

Continuing with the sides of the vehicle, we see a set of 20-inch Mondial wheels in Volcanic Black fitted with 275/55/20 tires. Behind the wheels there are burnt Orange Metallic brake calipers.

Luxurious Hield fabric is what covers the cabin of the vehicle. The material covers the front GTB and rear folding seats, making the Defender one-off and a true collector’s item. In addition, the centre glove box has been hand trimmed as are the passenger dashboard, top handles, door panels, instrument binnacle and the front door cards. The rev counter has been specifically designed to make the model not only unique but also more appealing.

The other interior upgrades featured here include a Churchill time clock, billet and leather steering wheel, 4 speed auto gear box and vented machined aluminium foot pedals, upgraded satellite navigation system and a reverse camera.

Jaguar Land Rover showcases a rather special system. Check it out!

2016 Jaguar Land Rover DSRC System Jaguar Land Rover shows a range of some badass technologies that will aid future self-driven vehicles through any surface and terrain. It is a multi-million dollar research project that aims to make the autonomous driving as flexible and as confident as possible.

And in order to enable this next-gen of technology, Jaguar Land Rover team has developed some sweet technologies: there are some sensors, surface identification tweak and a 3D path sensing. All of them incorporate the use of a camera, radar and sensors to deliver detailed 360 degree view of the world around the vehicle. Of course, buyers will have the chance to get their path planned, and see some potential dangers and road situations. Sweet.

One more key element is the ability for vehicles to “talk” to each other: the machines can communicate with by sending data and prepare for any off-road obstacles and road challenges.

In fact, Jaguar and Land Rover have already made an off-road demonstration with two Range Rover Sports that use the DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communications) technology in order to create an Off-Road Connected Convoy. The wireless vehicle-to-vehicle communication system shares data for vehicle’s location, wheel-slip, suspension activity, wheel articulation and All-Terrain Progress Control information.

Exclusive ride with the new Jaguar F-TYPE SVR on Nürburgring? Yes, please!

2017 Jaguar F-TYPE SVR Jaguar launches the “Jaguar Co-Pilot Nordschleife” program in order to allow customers to try brand’s latest supercar on one of world’s most popular race circuits, indeed the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Jaguar’s most aggressive sports car, the F-TYPE SVR delivers 575hp (429kW) and 700Nm of torque via the titanic 5.0-liter V8 power unit and accelerates from 0 to 100km/h (62mph). Sporty enough, this is considered as brand’s most capable of tackling down the “Green Hell” challenge.

In fact, the customers who booked a ride with the car will be also the first to experience its power and driving character throughout the 20-kilometer long track.

Every week we are introduced to the latest creation of Afzal Kahn and company. This Friday we are about to show you a Land Rover Discovery Sport called Black Label Edition for a reason. Although the changes are subtle (which is not typical for Kahn), we find the SUV very attractive and here is why.

Based on the Land Rover Discovery Sport 2.0 TD4 SE, this car has a Santorini Black exterior and comes along with Project Kahn exterior package. The latter comprises only of front grille, sump guard and rear bumper trims colored again in Satin Black. The shoes of the vehicle are sized at 20-inches and are in-house made, namely – the RS-XF models. They are fitted with 275/40/20″ tyres. Although the changes are subtle, we are sure that many of you will like them. Especially if you are considering yourself a gentleman.

A true masterpiece, the interior shows the real magic, which Kahn Does to vehicles. Full of craftsmanship, a lot of attention to the details and featuring materials of greatest quality, the cabin seems to have its own unique life.

To be more precise, Project Kahn Land Rover Discovery Sport Black Label Edition is defined by a special Red Herringbone leather interior. The high quality quilted and perforated soft leather upholstery has been applied on the front and rear seats, including the headrests and armrests.

Making a slight contrast, the door card centre and steering wheel centre hub come in Alcantara in the same color. In addition, the door card tops, dashboard, centre glove box are wrapped in leather, while the vented foot pedals and door entry sill plates come in machined aluminium.

Kahn and Chelsea Wide Track release another luxurious Land Rover Defender

Kahn Land Rover Defender SW 90 Auto CWT is the latest addition in Kahn’s army of exclusive vehicles. It is based on the 2.2 TDCI SW 90 model and has been enhanced with the help of the experts at Chelsea Wide Track. Of course, its whole presence is defined fine detailing, exclusive design and individuality. Here are the details.

Exterior

The paint finish of this Defender is called Volcanic Black Satin, but it features some posh stylish elements that further highlight it and make a fashion statement. Capturing the glance at first is the X-Lander front grille, which contrasts the entire body color.

The other features of the exclusive styling package comprise of front and rear wide wings with integrated vents and bolt apertures, side and bonnet vents with mesh stainless steel and a Chelsea Truck Company Spare wheel cover. The new bumper at the front also comes with integrated lighting and a sump guard.

Moreover, the defender rides on in-house made 20-inch Mondial wheels in volcanic black, completed with 275x55x20″ tyres. Behind the alloys sit painted brake calipers and a twin crosshair exhaust system in stainless steel. At last, but not least, Kahn has made a four speed automatic gearbox conversion.
