  • SpeedKore reveals a heavily customized Hellcat-powered 1968 Dodge Charger

2021 SpeedKore Hellacious Dodge ChargerBuilt as the road version of the movie car in the latest “Fast & Furious”, the SpeedKore Hellacious Charger is a custom vehicle, resembling the mid-engine classic muscle cars. SpeedKore team has worked with the franchise since 2015 when showcased the 1970 Dodge Charger Tantrum in Furious 7.

As it comes to the Hellacious, it generates power via a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 engine, mounted between the rear axles in an exclusive SpeedKore frame. The unit generates a total of 707hp and 650 pound-feet of torque and is distributed to the wheels via a Graziano gearbox borrowed from a Lamborghini Gallardo.

Furthermore, the vehicle breathes via a custom exhaust system made from MagnaFlow components, SpeedKore-exclusive headers and dual mufflers. There’s also a front-mounted Saladana performance radiator that keeps the engine cool while accommodating the mid-engine architecture of the vehicle. At the rear, a high-performance intercooler ensures cold air for the drivetrain system.

  • Reiter Engineering Prepares Powerful Gallardo Extenso for Blancpain GT Series

Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo - Front AngleReiter Engineering has plans to enter new racecar in the Blancpain GT Series, the US Pirelli World Challenge and the SRO GT Sports Club. The car is based on Lamborghini’s model Gallardo and it has received a comprehensive facelift, after which it is proudly called “Extenso”. At the back, the car seems significantly wider: the rear has received carbon fibre rear quarter panels. In addition, the track width of the rear axle was extended by 13 cm thanks to the utilization of the new wishbones. The result is a total width of 205 cm and of course – better handling.

The torque curve was improved via race camshafts, while the Mahle pistons reduce fuel consumption and increase reliability. At the front we see new front headlights, but at the rear there are new tail lights and considerably wider carbon rear.

At last, but not least we must mention the sound of this Lambo, which stands at the top of the new specifications along with the visual packaging.

Reiter Engineering also disclosed that they will focus clearly on the performance levels which are to be expected for 2016 and beyond. And due to the exemplary history of the company that includes over 100 cars built, over 200 race wins and more than 400 podium results, the redesign of the Gallardo GT3 is a strategic move.

The specialists will create only 10 Reiter Gallardo Extenso for customers. Depending on thei personal taste, the vehicles can be manufactured in “Carbon-Black” or “Titanium-Grey”. If the first is hosen, then the entire skin will be left in carbon-black except for the Aluminium doors and the roof skin. In the other case, the titanium-grey impresses with its aggressive military appeal.

  • Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este [video]

Lamborghini exhibited a one-off 5-95 Zagato at last weekend’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Zagato is celebrating its 95th anniversary with a special project based on the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4. The car is commissioned by the collector – Albert Spiess.

The exterior features a lot of typical for Zagato styling cues such as double bubble roof, wind deflector as well as new side intakes, shortened chassis and a sense of energy through fluid and organic surfaces that recall an animal’s muscles as it is ready to leap forward. The volumes intersect each other and suggest a jump, as if the central part of the front is ahead of the fender. The rear volume has been slightly reduced introducing a “coda tronca” (truncated tail) to emphasize the perception of the leap.

    The engine remains untouched – a 5.2-liter V10 naturally aspirated engine – 570HP (419 kW) and 540Nm (397 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is connected to a 6-speed E-gear transmission. 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 10.4 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).

“We have chosen the Gallardo because it is the most sensational project in Lamborghini’s history. An extraordinary car, perfect in engineering terms, that has brought the image of ‘the Bull’ from a ‘cottage industry’ to a worldwide major industrial reality. The Gallardo production figures exceeded the whole Lamborghini production since its foundation.”, commented Andrea Zagato.

  • TOP 10 Fastest Cars 2013 [part 2] – Trap Speed

3rd place is held by Nissan GT-R R35 Mk.1 Switzer R1K-X Goliath with 1,700 HP (1,250 kW). Oleg B. managed to scoop the bronze with 402.23 km/h (250 mph).

2nd place is for Leonid V. and his Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera Underground Racing R2 / Altechno with epic 2,005HP (1,474 kW). He crossed the finish line with 402.68 km/h (250 mph).

1st place is also for Leonid V. with Lamborghini Gallardo Nera Exelixis / GTR RT / ZOD / SPP / GTT / Altechno / Syvecs with 1,850HP (1,360 kW). The record for 2013 is 409.09 km/h (254 mph), which is just insane.

The time, which Leonid V. set with the Gallardo Nera Exelixis is almost unbeatable. He managed to cover 1 mile in 20.845 seconds, which means that the car accelerates 0-409 km/h in that time. The new Koenigsegg Agera One:1 is believed to do 0-400 km/h in 20.0 seconds, but we strongly doubt that. It is quite impossible.

A lot of improvements are expected for Nissan GT-Rs, which are still in it. We also expect to see twin-turbo version of Lamborghini Aventador and other interesting hyper cars.

    Stay tuned and enjoy!

  • The Beginning Of The Vorsteiner Lamborghini LP-550/60 Renazzo

Vorsteiner-Lamborghini-Gallardo-Renazzo-front-piece-shadowVorsteiner-Lamborghini-Gallardo-Renazzo-front-piece-mediumFinally, some actual news from Vorsteiner. It’s not much, but it will have to do for now. We’re talking about a new front piece for the Lamborghini Gallardo. Called the Renazzo, it replaces the OEM fascia with a distinctive carbon-fiber bits end vents. The tuners have called the Lambo featured in this gallery the Vorsteiner Lamborghini LP-550/60 Renazzo. We’re guessing the logic behind the name is that the piece fits both the LP-550 and LP-560?

The 2×2 carbon composite pre-preg construction features two floating aero fins and honey comb mess grills. As an option, there’s, again a 2×2 carbon fiber, center splitter add-on piece and dual fins for even more looks and (possibly) stability.

The design didn’t just come out from thin air. Vorsteiner’s partial source of inspiration was the Gallardo Super Trofeo race car that competes in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo league. The Renazzo project aims to bring that concept onto the streets.

Yes, there will be more Vorsteiner bits coming out to complete the program. Oh, and the wheels featured here in this gallery belong to Vorsteiner’s Forged VSE-001 one-piece line. We’d venture 20-inches in size.

  • The Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Is Out

    Lamborghini-Huracan-LP-610-4-shadowLamborghini-Huracan-LP-610-4-medium

This is big news! The Gallardo successor is officially out (sort of) and its called the Lamborghini Huracan – pronounced without the ‘h’. It is – of course – a name deriving from a fighting bull of the Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed. It was known for its audacious spirit and “strong sense of attack”.

The Huracan also has “LP 610-4” in its name, which, as you might have guessed, means 610 hp going to all fours. The engine is still true to the Lambo tradition of natural aspiration and countless cylinders. Well…10 cylinders anyway – 5.2-liters of them. The power peaks at 8,250 rpm while the maxium 560 Nm of torque is available at 6500 rpm.

A 7-speed dual clutch LDF transmission and a fully electronically controlled four-wheel drive system are responsible for the conversion of that power into mesmerising performance. Three modes of operation (STRADA, SPORT and CORSA) will decide the throttle and gearbox response, the sound quality, and the stability control and the AWD system behavior. Optionally, if you go plan on being really hardcore about it, you can get the “Lamborghini Dynamic Steering” variable steering ration system and magneto-rheologic (no idea) suspension damper control.

Because the whole car weighs no more than 1,422 kg (the chassis is a blend of aluminum and carbon fiber), the power-to-weight ratio is just 2.33 kilograms per horsepower. Ergo, the blistering acceleration of 3.2 seconds from 0 to 60 (0 to 120 takes 9.9 seconds). The lightweight structure also means less fuel. That, and some clever use of both direct and indirect injection and the presence of a Start & Stop module, all contribute to the Huracan’s Euro 6 grade. That’s 290 g/km of CO2 emissions and a fuel economy of around 12.5 liters per 100 km.

Inside, you get a 12.3 inch TFT instrument panel that has loads of information in store for you, but you won’t really have time for all of that, unless you want to end up in a hedge. On the outside, well… just look at it. It’s fresh and daring, and unique, yet still somehow Lamborghini. And last time we checked, “Lamborghini” is a dirty, dirty word.

More disclosure will be available on the 24th of December. Public première is expected to happen in March 2014, on the Geneva Motor Show.Lamborghini-Huracan-LP-610-4-medium-2

  • End Of Production For The Iconic Lamborghini Gallardo

Last-Lamborghini-Gallardo-THUMBThe very last Lamborghini Gallardo has left the production line in the historic factory buildings of Sant’Agata Bolognese. The final model is a Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante colored in the red paint finish Rosso Mars and which is already destined for a private collector.

In fact, the Gallardo has been produced with a total of 14,022 units which makes it the most successful super sports cars. It is literally an icon of Italian design. The first Gallardo model appeared ten years ago at Geneva Motor Show in order to mark company’s 40th anniversary. The name of the Gallardo was inspired by the world of bullfighting. Gallardo was a bloodline of bulls known for its exceptional courage and undaunted nature.

Another interesting historical fact is that in the first four decades of the existence of Lamborghini, an average of just 250 vehicles were built per year. Since the appearance of Gallardo, the production grew to a whole new dimension with volumes of around 2,000 cars per year on average.

The first ever 2003 Gallardo mesmerized the public with its extreme design, phenomenal lightweight dynamics and outstanding quality, and also included amazing handling and safety provided by permanent all-wheel drive. Later in 2005, the Gallardo Spyder joined the lineup, followed by Gallardo Superleggera in 2007. The latter had reduced weight, thanks to the extensive utilization of carbon fiber components; it also delivered 530 hp (390 kw).

2008 marked the debut of the second generation Gallardo, that had a redesigned front and rear, a new engine with gasoline direct injection pushing out 560 hp (412 kW), and it carried the name LP 560-4. In the same year was the premiere of the second-generation Spyder as well.

Two years later was introduced the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera with an increase in output to 570 hp (420 kW), as well as the open-top Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante. LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni limited edition and the LP 550-2 Spyder, featured a rearwheel drive and appealed to sports car fans.

The pinnacle of sporting performance among the total of 32 Gallardo variants was marked by the Super Trofeo Stradale and, finally – the Gallardo Squadra Corse, which boasts a dry weight of 1340 kilograms and has a power-toweight ratio of 2.35 kilograms per horsepower. This only means a breathtaking performance: the sportscar manages to cover the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration sprint in 3.4 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 320 km/h.

The Gallardo was sold in 45 countries. 2013 marks Automobili Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary, and also the last ever built Gallardo with car number 14,022. Since the company has found in 1963, almost half of all 30,000 Lamborghinis are Gallardos.

  • xXx-Performance Updates Lamborghini Gallardo

xXx-Performance-Lamborghini-Gallardo-THUMBLamborghini Gallardo is one of the most famous sportscars which almost everybody has dreamt driving due to its speed, looks and aggressive road-stance. Surprisingly, the Lamborghini is powered by V10 engine and not by a V12 one and has no gull-wing doors.

The tuning specialists at xXx-Performance took a 2005 Gallardo and reconstructed it in a complex manner. They have added traditional LSD gull-wing doors and done some optical tuning. The latter extends the width of the body.

Also new is the front apron in LP560 design as well as the rear apron and the massive side enlargements. In fact, xXx-Performance endowed the rear with original parts made of real carbon from. We are speaking here about the rear flap, rear wing or also the side view mirror.

The exterior of the beast now sports a more glaring color. Thanks to versatile foil wrapping, the external shell is now in black chrome with the shafts of the side skirt, the interior edges of the front air ducts and the roof edge gleaming in neon orange.

And if one thinks that to give a Gallardo air suspension is impossible, then they surely should be disappointed. For this purpose, the tuners have used G-ride air suspension in combination with the specially adapted and two-fold hardness adjustable KW damping. The system has an electronic level regulation with integrated self-regenerating air-drying.

To round-out the exterior credentials of this tuned sportscar, the xXx-Performance modifiers has given it new set of shoes: exclusive mbDesign KV1 Deep Concave rims in the wheel houses in the dimension 9×20 inches with 235/30R20 tires in front and 12×20 inches with 305/25R20 Hankook S1 Evo tires in the rear. The rims were endowed with black chrome finish.

But this is not all that has been done here. The V10 here has been slightly reworked and the unit now generates over 560 horsepower (442 kW). This was achieved via special carbon air-boxes of BMC and the optimization of the engine software.

Next to the engine upgrade the tuning company added sports exhaust system that is capable of being controlled through Bluetooth. Optionally xXx Performance offers menacing biturbo conversions for the Lamborghini V10 in three power stages from 850 to 1.200 hp.

At last, the interior of the Gallardo was also improved. It now includes exclusive leather fitting with white decorative stitching. There can be seen also top-stitched diamonds and embroidered xXx-logos.

  • Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Underground Racing R2 Altechno— Top Speed Record [video]

The extremely powerful Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Underground Racing R2 Altechno with 2000HP (1470 kW) driven by Leonid set a new absolute top speed record for Unlim 500+. It recorded a terminal speed of 402.68 km/h (250.27 mph).

Of course, the start didn’t go without problems. Just a few meters before the 1 mile mark, the tuned Gallardo catch fire. The reason for this disaster is unknown, but hopefully this Gallardo will come back at the race track very soon to set sensational records.

Actually, the same car has a lot more spectacular result, when it crossed the 1 mile mark in just 21.852 seconds with terminal speed of around 427 km/h (265 mph). Still, this is not an official result and until something like that happens, the record will be 402 km/h (250 mph).

    Enjoy!

The LP 570-4 Squadra Corse comes with a number of carbon fiber components, a powerful engine and a big rear wing providing additional downforce. • Lamborghini Gallardo Underground Racing R2 2005 HP — 1 mile in 21.852 seconds

When I published the video with the spectacular Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ doing 1 mile in 22.538 seconds, I thought that no other car can beat than (except more powerful GT-R, of course). However, I was completely wrong because Underground Racing and Altechno proven the opposite.

The reworked Lamborghini Gallardo LP570 Underground Racing R2 comes with new cooling and fuel systems. The sports car have more than 2000HP (1470 kW) transmitted on the road through a manual gearbox.

It is interesting that the owner of the tuned car and the tuning specialists bet for $25,000 that the car will beat the 22-second record. So, if the Gallardo do less than 22 seconds on 1 mile, the owner will have to pay $25k. Still, the super powerful sports car managed to stop the clock at 21.852 seconds with a terminal speed of whopping 427 km/h (265 mph). Still, I’m pretty excited to see what time will make the Alpha Omega, which recently did 1/4 mile in less than 8 seconds.

    Enjoy!
