Lambo Huracan GT3 Is Ready For The Next Challenge!

Lamborghini Huracan GT3 will make its North American GT3 racing debut with confirmed entries into the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GT Daytona (GTD) class in 2016. The official debut will be in the 24-Hours at Daytona on January 30-31 with numerous more teams that continue Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse’s tradition of customer support.

Lamborghini Motorsport program continues to build its racing ladder and what better opportunity to demonstrate its cababilities at the GT3 which is now, in fact, moved in North America. Furthermore, the GT3 program is the top step of the pyramid that includes Lamborghini Esperienza and Accademia and three Lambo Blancpain Super Trofeo vehicles. In fact, there are direct connections between two of the confirmed GT3 entries and the Lambo Blancpain Super Trofeo North America. Change Racing and O’Gara Motorsports will add Lamborghini Huracan GT3 programs in addition to the already existing Super Trofeo North America efforts in 2016.

In fact, O’Gara Motorsport team owner Tom O’Gara has also been involved with the Super Trofeo series in North America since 2013, but this is the first time for the team to participate as solo entrant.

And now the Huracan GT3 will be eligible for all GT3 racing in North America. It will be introduced in both North America and Asia, after having proven itself in Europe during the Blancpain Endurance Series with Grasser Racing Team where it won the season opener at Monza, Italy in April.

MANSORY Unveiled the One and Only Carbon Beast

MANSORY Lamborghini Huracan Torofeo After the success of the MANSORY Carbonado a radical, the latest interpretation of the Lamborghini Huracan continues the unusual affair. Now, MANSORY team decided to name their latest project TOROFEO. Why? Because of the Spanish word “Toro” which means bull and the Super Trofeo Motorsport range. So, along with the name, there is a lot more to be reviewed. So, what are we waiting for?

As you would expect from MANSORY, the team couldn’t help itself with the use of carbon-fiber elements. Not just that, but the designers took the carbon usage to completely new level. In fact, no other company has used as much carbon components as MANSORY. So, we surely talk about ultra-light, extremely flexible vehicle.

The completely reshaped body now comes with striking air intakers and new front apron which further optimize the flow of air to the cooler. And along with the restyled front lip, the carbon beast proudly offers and incredibly well enhanced downforce and better behavior on the road.

In terms of performance it is clear that the vehicle only benefits from the MANSORY upgrades. Now the tuning brand has recreated the 5.2-liter V10 engine, the exhaust system and other parts of the whole drivetrain system. This all results on delivering a total of 1,250 hp (919 kW) at 8,250 rpm. The maximum torque is electronically measured at 1,000 Nm. This all takes the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in only 2,7 seconds and has a top speed of 340 km/h.

It is needless to say that MANSORY also reshaped the interior. Now the vehicle comes in leather Alcantara components, numerous gadgets and of course, with style and passion for the details.

Some Stunning Vehicles Found Their New Owners at Mecum Daytime Auction

Some of the finest and most luxurious vehicles ever offered at the Mecum Daytime Auction in Monterey, sales measured at $44,335,001 and 387 vehicles changes were achieved in three days of auction acting, Aug. 13-15. Headlined by the jaw-dropping 1969 Lamborghini Miura P400 S and a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible, the top sales at the auction included seven vehicles that were sold for at least $1 million or higher.

Furthermore, the top 10 sales of the Daytime Auction serve as representation of the variety and the quality of the vehicles. And as we speak for cars, the weekend witnessed both foreign and domestic and vintage and modern models. And the Lambo Miura exceeded its pre-auction high estimate by more than a half-million dollars, just to achieve a bid of $2.3 million. Furthermore, the Hemi Cuda, which also served as a demonstration for its designer John Herlitz, proved itself as a high-quality classic muscle car with a price of $2.25 million.

And the Turbo Carrera Porsche originally ordered by Steve McQueen was expected to break the one-million-dollar barrier and has done it. The vehicle reached almost twice that amount via bidding: $1.95 million.

And there was that sweet low-mileage Corvette collection that did well with 21 of 26 hammering sold by and unrestored 2,299-original-mile 1954 convertible, which reached a total of $275,000. The whole group managed to make a total of $2,563,500 in sales.

Lamborghini Huracan Verona Receives Some Neat Tweaks

Vorsteiner proudly announced the long anticipated launch of the Verona lightweight carbon fiber aerodynamic program for the Lamborghini Huracan. This beauty is about to get some significant changes. Let’s see what is going on here.

The final touches will bring some fresh front spoiler and side skirts. The front spoiler will not only make the vehicle look even more beautiful, but it will also bring some aerodynamic improvements. For example, the downforce will be improved and will not affect ground clearance. The front spoiler is further shaped to go along the lines of the bumper, which helps directing more air into the openings of the front radiators. The more the cooling the better the performance. Right?

The performance-focused vehicle will also receive side blade extensions, that will bring that aggressive look, but it will also keep the elegant and stylish angular body lines. Furthermore, the upgrade will improve the downforce and the air flow behind the front wheels.

So, what do we have at the end? Beautiful vehicle with stylish, yet confident lines and some nice upgrades, that include not only visual changes and tweaks, but also improve the overall performance. And no wonder. Vehicle like Lamborghini Huracan Verona deserves only the best tweaks by only experienced craftsmen.

2006 Lamborghini Concept S is Going for an Auction

2006 Lamborghini Concept S, chassis 001 goes on sale! I am sure, that there isn’t a Lambo fan, that doesn’t know about this vehicle, but still let’s remind you, that this is a really special model, first introduced at Geneva back in 2005. The Concept includes some interesting lines and features, but the main thing is that it is a sort of extreme interpretation of an open-top Lamborghini Gallardo. Furthermore, the audience at the show was so interested in the vehicle, that it demanded for a functional version. That’s what I call game-changer.

Vox populi vox Dei (the voice of the people is the voice of God). The fully operable version was unveiled at the Concorso Italiano the next year and remained true to the concept. Except it was even more powerful. It also includes some slight differences in the design, compared to the original: “saute-vent” windscreens, redesigned homologation and sort of “spine”, that runs throughout all the length of the Lamborghini.

Originally the Concept S was planned for a limited run, but soon the manufacturer changed its mind due logical reasons: the crafting process of the Lamborghini model was time-consuming and at high cost. So, the vehicle brand ended up with only chassis 001. It became so popular, that it was shown all around the world, including twice at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Now the vehicle is fully operating and street legal and comes to the sale with only 180 km (111.8 miles) driven.

The Lamborghini Concept S will be sold by RM Sotheby’s, the world’s largest collector car auction house. Something more. The well-known auction house will participate for the second iteration of the Art Automobiles sale event. And as any other, the show will include finest selection of vehicles, especially chosen for their rarity, significance, engineering and of course overall performance. And as you might have already guessed it, the Lamborghini Concept S will also be among the special vehicles.
