  • Hyundai Kona

Hyundai has showcased the 2024 Kona Electric, Limited, and N Line models at the New York International Auto Show, making their debut in North America. The Kona, which is a premium small SUV, comes in different powertrain options, with the all-electric variant leading the pack, providing advanced safety, convenience, and an impressive electric range of 260 miles, as per initial estimates by Hyundai. The second-generation Kona offers one of the most comprehensive product packages in the small SUV category, with a wide range of powertrain options, including an electric and internal combustion engine, and a sporty N Line version. The new Kona will be available at U.S. dealers this summer, and the Kona Electric will arrive in the late fall.

In an unusual move, Hyundai prioritized the electrified powertrain while developing the new Kona platform, aligning with the company’s plan to expedite electrification, which includes introducing 11 new Hyundai EVs worldwide by 2030.

“The all-new Kona and Kona Electric continue to build upon our extremely successful first-generation model, with outstanding efficiency, innovative technologies, distinctive styling, and comprehensive safety features,” said José Muñoz, president and CEO, Hyundai Motor North America. “The new Kona Electric represents the next step forward in eco-friendly mobility solutions, a key model in Hyundai’s rapid transition to clean mobility and progress for humanity.”

The all-new Kona retains its distinctive style with a robust, active design and larger dimensions, catering to the needs of active customers of all ages. It comes equipped with innovative technologies and convenience features that ensure a safe, connected, and comfortable ride. Some of the upgrades include dual panoramic display screens measuring 12.3 inches, Hyundai’s next-generation infotainment system, Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates, and Digital Key 2 Touch.

The Kona Electric model is powered by a 64.8-kWh battery that is expected to offer a range of up to 260 miles based on Hyundai’s preliminary internal testing. The battery can recharge from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 43 minutes using the available 400V fast-charging capability. The standard battery, on the other hand, is estimated to provide approximately 197 miles of range based on initial internal tests.

The all-new model has unique proportions, featuring increased dimensions and interior volume. The length of the Kona internal combustion version is now 171.3 inches, which is 5.7 inches longer, while the wheelbase has increased by 2.3 inches to 104.7 inches. Additionally, the overall width is now 71.9 inches, which is a full inch wider than its predecessor.

    EV-driven Exterior Design

Hyundai took an unconventional approach to the development of the 2024 Kona, using an EV-to-ICE development process. This resulted in a futuristic exterior that emphasizes the Kona’s unique look, combining sleek and rugged design elements.

The new Kona Electric boasts a drag coefficient of just 0.27, making it aerodynamically efficient without compromising on style. The sculpted wheel arch armor, parametric surfaces, and dynamic chrome lines connecting the belt line to the rear spoiler and center high-mounted stop lamp add character to the vehicle’s pure volume. The Electric variant also features a Pixelated Seamless Horizon Lamp and Pixel graphics, adding a unique touch. Furthermore, the Kona offers a range of vivid exterior colors that cater to the diverse lifestyles of a broad spectrum of customers.

    Roomier and More Versatile Interior

Hyundai designed the Kona’s larger interior space to cater to a wider range of customer lifestyles, thanks to its EV-based universal architecture and upscaled dimensions. The driver-centric front row features a floating horizontal C-Pad and two 12.3-inch panoramic display screens.

The shift-by-wire gear selector has been relocated from the center console to a stalk behind the steering wheel, freeing up space in the open console area. This highlights the Kona’s spacious interior, which offers a versatile and comfortable space for driver and passengers. Driver controls have been moved around the steering wheel to make way for a multi-use center console with a rotational cupholder design. Ambient interior lighting options correspond to drive modes, acceleration, or to suit the driver’s mood. The second row features a Curveless Bench Seat, allowing maximum rear passenger legroom. Furthermore, a two-stage latching system enables rear seat reclining.

The second-row seat and rear compartment of the new Kona are fully foldable, providing 25.5 cubic feet of rear cargo volume with seatbacks up and 63.7 cubic feet with seatbacks folded down. Loading cargo is now more convenient with the available Smart Power Tailgate that makes accessing cargo space easier.

    EV-Specific Features

Kona Electric has several unique features to enhance the driving experience, including battery preconditioning to ensure optimal performance in colder temperatures and a charging port door lamp for visibility at night. Additional features include forward storage, active grille shutters, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability for charging other electrical equipment. The i-PEDAL driving mode and Smart Regenerative System adjusts regeneration according to traffic conditions. With the bi-directional onboard charger, the V2L function can power devices or charge electrical equipment using the available V2L adapter from the front charging port.

The i-PEDAL feature of the Kona Electric allows drivers to control acceleration, deceleration and stopping using only the accelerator pedal. The Smart Regenerative System adjusts the level of regenerative braking based on real-time traffic flow data for greater efficiency.

Refined and Efficient Internal Combustion Powertrains

Hyundai prioritizes high efficiency for Kona powertrains. Kona has two gasoline powertrain options, including a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Atkinson engine with an estimated 147 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 132 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,500 rpm. This engine is paired with a Smartstream Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) to optimize fuel efficiency. The Atkinson cycle design focuses on maximizing the cylinder expansion ratio during the compression stroke to improve efficiency.

The 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine in the N Line and Limited trims delivers an estimated 190 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 195 lb.-ft. of torque from 1,700-4,500 rpm, ensuring smooth acceleration in urban driving. The engine provides low-RPM responsiveness in everyday driving conditions, with peak torque starting at just 1,700 rpm and holding through 4,500 rpm. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that offers excellent efficiency, seamless shifting, and brisk acceleration.

    Responsive and Refined Chassis Tuning

Hyundai designed Kona with improved driving dynamics and responsive performance in mind, specifically for various driving conditions in urban and multi-surface areas. Kona’s planted stance, resulting from its long wheelbase, short overhangs, and wide track, provides exceptional agility in urban environments, with improved linear stability and ride comfort. Kona’s internal combustion models come with a MacPherson strut front suspension with coil springs and a hollow stabilizer bar design. Kona AWD models are equipped with a multi-link rear suspension with stabilizer bar, while FWD models have a refined torsion beam rear axle design. Kona Electric models feature a MacPherson strut front suspension with coil springs and a multi-link rear suspension.

    Kona N Line Sporty Variant

The N Line model has many features including bodycolor cladding, 19-inch N Line alloy wheels, N Line rear spoiler, dual-outlet exhaust tips, Bose premium audio, sport seating with red accents, aluminum sport pedals, N Line scuff plates, and black mirrors. The front and rear fascia designs are wing-shaped and aggressive to give a sportier appearance and emphasize a lower stance.

With tons of motorsport-inspired changes, the vehicle comes with a great variety of options and customization. Also, there are numerous advanced technologies that are now standard on all trim levels.

All Kona N models are geared with a 2.0-liter turbocharged GDI power unit and with an 8-speed dual-clutch N DCT gearbox. This gearbox offers some upgrades over the standard version and allows for three distinctive driving technologies, each designed to deliver maximum control in different situations and the pleasure of driving.

  • Hyundai Kona and Kona N Line

    2021 Kona and Kona N Line1

Hyundai UK has confirmed pricing and specifications for its comprehensively updated Kona sub-compact SUV, which now includes for the first time a sporty N Line trim, as well as a full hybrid option and 48-volt mild hybrid technology on all other variants.

The Kona’s design has been enhanced inside and out. Revised suspension and new connectivity and in-car convenience features make it even more comfortable and enjoyable for driver and passengers alike.

With the all-new N Line version the Kona wears its sporty dynamics on its sleeve, thanks to unique design features front and rear, bespoke diamond-cut wheel design, and comprehensive interior styling enhancements.

The 2021 Kona range starts from £21,060 on-the-road for the Kona SE Connect 1.0 T-GDi 48-volt MHEV. The dynamic new N Line specification is available from £23,590 on-the-road.

The Kona is equipped with Hyundai’s 1.0-litre T-GDi Smartstream petrol engine with 48-volt mild hybrid technology and six-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (6iMT).

Hybrid versions of the Kona are equipped with a Kappa 1.6-litre GDI petrol four-cylinder engine and an electric motor linked to a 1.56 kWh lithium ion polymer battery pack. Transmission is via a six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (6DCT).

First seen in the new i30 and the all-new i20, the iMT’s clutch operates electronically, decoupling the engine from the transmission after the driver releases the accelerator, saving fuel by switching off the engine and activating ‘coasting’ mode. The engine restarts in the same gear as soon as the driver presses either the brake or the accelerator pedals, thanks to the power provided by the Mild Hybrid Starter Generator.

    Specification overview

The Kona range starts with the SE Connect, priced from £21,060 on-the-road, offering a high level of standard equipment. Its exterior is distinguished by its 17-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured door mirrors, LED daytime running lights, roof rails and rear spoiler with integrated LED brake light.

Inside there is manual air conditioning, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, electric windows front and rear, a 10.25-inch Driver’s Digital Supervision Instrument Cluster, USB port, automatic activation for the headlights, plus an 8-inch touchscreen Display Audio with rear-view camera and Smart Device Integration with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. New for the model is front passenger-seat height adjustment, allowing occupants to ensure a commanding view out.

All models in the new Kona range are equipped with a range of new or enhanced safety and driving assist features for added peace of mind. For example, Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA) alerts the driver if they do not react fast enough when the vehicle ahead of them starts moving. Another is Lane Following Assist (LFA), which automatically adjusts steering to assist the driver to keep in the centre of the lane. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian detection (FCA) is now standard. Rear Seat Alert (RSA) alerts the driver if someone or something is in the back seat when they go to exit the vehicle. In addition, all new Kona models are now available with eCall, a feature which automatically alerts emergency services if the airbags are deployed or the e-Call button is pushed.

The sporty new Kona N Line trim starts at £23,590 (on-the-road), and features unique front- and rear-end styling and 18-inch alloy diamond-cut wheels. In contrast to other Kona models, the entire front bumper and the wheel-arch claddings are in body colour. Instead of a rugged front skid plate there is an N-style aerodynamic lip with corner fins to accentuate the car’s road-hugging stance. At the rear there are LED lights, and a large central aerodynamic diffusor in a contrast colour flanked by sharply creased lines and N-style fins that aid airflow.

For the cabin, the new N Line Kona is equipped with unique detailing including distinctive red stitching, metal pedals, and N logos on the gear shift and on the seats – all contributing to a sportier look and feel.

Compared to the entry-level SE Connect, the N Line boasts a range of additional comfort and convenience features. For example, in place of air conditioning there is climate control, and comfort is further boosted by an automatic dimming rear-view mirror, automatic windscreen wipers, USB ports for rear-seat occupants, rear parking sensors, and interior ambient lighting. The driver can also fold the door mirrors at the touch of a button.

The centre console display increases from 8-inch to 10.25-inch and incorporates Touchscreen Satellite Navigation with Mapcare and LIVE Services. Also added is Hyundai’s Bluelink® (free-of-charge for the first five years) – a smartphone app-based connected car service that enables drivers to carry out a number of different functions whilst away from their vehicle, including remote central locking activation and vehicle parked location information. The sound system is upgraded to KRELL Premium Audio with eight speakers, external amplifier and subwoofer.

The Kona Premium is available from £23,660 (on-the-road) and adds anthracite body garnish to the exterior and distinctive 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside there are heated front seats, electric parking brake and front parking sensors, and the active safety features are augmented with Intelligent Speed Limit Warning (ISLW).

The top-of-the-range Kona Ultimate starts at £25,960 (on-the-road). In addition to all of the features available with Premium spec, Ultimate adds LED headlights, electric front seat adjustment, and an electric tilt and slide sunroof. Added to the active safety systems are Blind Spot Collision Warning (BCW), Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW), and the new Safe Exit Warning (SEW) system, which prevents passengers from exiting the vehicle if it is not yet safe to do so.

Prices for the Kona Hybrid start from £23,750 (on-the-road). It is available in SE Connect, Premium or Ultimate trim. The Hybrid is available with two dedicated hybrid-only alloy wheels designs, 16-inch on the SE Connect and 18-inch on the Premium and Ultimate trims.

    Design and chassis upgrades

Alongside the all-new N Line model which has its own unique styling, all Kona 2021 models benefit from extensive exterior enhancements, with updates front and rear and new wheel designs for an even more sleek, sophisticated appearance.

  • Design, technology, zero emissions: new Kona electric comes with a series of updates

    2021 Hyundai Kona Electric1

Hyundai Motor has made a series of updates to its successful all-electric sub-compact SUV, the Hyundai Kona Electric. In order to make the new Kona Electric an even better product for its customers, the upgrades revolve around design, technology, and practicality.

Since launching in 2018, demand for the Hyundai Kona Electric has exceeded all expectations in Europe, thanks to its powerful electric drivetrain, long driving range and stylish SUV looks. In just two years, over 120,000 units have been sold globally, including more than 53,000 in Europe. In August, three production models set a new range record of 1,026 kilometres on a single battery charge at the Lausitzring in Germany. Meanwhile, in January, the Kona Electric made it into the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ under the category “Highest Altitude Achieved in an Electric Car”, after being driven to an altitude of 5,731 metres to Sawula Pass in Tibet.

In March, Hyundai started production of the Kona Electric at its Czech production plant, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC). This enables the company to significantly reduce customer waiting times for new electric cars.

The new Kona Electric has undergone bold design upgrades for a dynamic new look, as well as featuring safety enhancements and an advanced technology package.

“When we launched the Kona Electric in 2018 as the world’s first fully-electric subcompact SUV, it represented a major step forward for affordable e-mobility,” says Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, Vice President Marketing and Product at Hyundai Motor Europe. “With the new Kona Electric, we’re showing that Hyundai is fully committed to zero-emissions driving, by providing our customers with enhanced driving assistance and safety features, making it an even more desirable package.”

Bold exterior design upgrades for a clean and stylish appearance
The new Kona Electric has undergone a series of bold exterior design updates. By combining a clean and sleek appearance with the protective and bold B-SUV body type of the Kona, it expresses its exceptional electric technology while being even more recognisable on the road.

The front with the new-look closed grille features a pure and clean design. This modern look is further enhanced by the new LED Daytime Running Lights, which emphasise the car’s wide stance. The front is complemented by an asymmetric charging port, a feature unique to the Kona Electric which makes a strong statement about driving electric.

New, sharper headlamps stretch around the side of the car. The high-tech headlamp inner bezel now incorporates multifaceted reflector (MFR) technology. The headlamps are connected to the painted wheel arch claddings, giving the new Kona Electric a distinctive and sophisticated look. Vertical air inlets in front of the wheel arch claddings enhance its aerodynamics, substantially reducing turbulence in the front wheelhouse area. Meanwhile, a functional air intake in the lower bumper is visually enhanced by horizontal satin accent bars, which give it a pronounced stance.

The rear bumper retains the accent bars to add value to the overall look of the car, while new horizontally-stretched rear lamps complement the pure appearance of the front.

The new Kona Electric is 25 millimetres longer than the previous version. This ensures it has a dynamic appearance combined with a strong visual stance.

The new Kona Electric is available with a range of new exterior colours,

    Exterior colours:

    • Dive in Jeju [New]
    • Ignite Flame [New]
    • Misty Jungle [New]
    • Surfy Blue [New]
    • Cyber Grey [New]
    • Galactic Grey
    • Phantom Black
    • Dark Knight
    • Pulse Red
    • Atlas White

An updated interior with progressive technology
For the first time, the new Kona Electric is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital cluster, while an optional 10.25-inch AVN screen is carried over from the last update. The AVN unit incorporates multimedia and convenience features including Bluelink, Hyundai LIVE Services and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, further democratising advanced connectivity for Hyundai drivers. Customers who select the eight-inch Display Audio system can wirelessly connect their smartphones to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

New Kona Electric customers can enjoy the new Bluelink upgrade, which allows them to control their car with their smartphone or voice to make their drive more convenient and enjoyable. The app displays the vehicle’s range and battery state, as well as charging times, when plugged into different public or private charging points. Users can access an advanced battery management system in order to select charging times that best fit their schedule or their budget by making the most of off-peak electricity rates.

Thanks to Remote Charging, new Kona Electric drivers can start and stop charging at the push of a button on their smartphone via the Bluelink app. During colder months, Remote Climate Control allows users to schedule a time that they would like to pre-heat their car electrically when connected to an external power source. As well as providing additional comfort to occupants, this also saves battery power that would otherwise be needed to heat the vehicle on the road.

The latest Bluelink upgrade includes a range of new and advanced connectivity features for increased convenience. User Profile offers increased personalisation, and can be transferred to other Hyundai vehicles providing the same feature. Last Mile Navigation helps customers continue the journey to their final destination via the Bluelink app even after their car has been parked, using either Augmented Reality or Google Maps. Connected Routing harnesses real-life and historical speed information through GPS, which is stored in the server and updated every month, to predict upcoming traffic every five minutes. This ensures more accurate traffic forecasting, more precise times of arrival, and more reliable route recalculations. Live Parking Information gives users real-time information on the location and price of nearby available parking spaces. In addition, the latest Bluelink upgrade features Free Text Search for users to enter addresses or points of interest.

Meanwhile, new ambient light technology illuminates the passenger and driver side footwell, emphasising the lifestyle character of the vehicle.

Customers can select from two interior colour packages for further customisation. The one-tone Black package is available with cloth, or leather materials. Alternatively, the two-tone Grey interior package is available with  leather materials.

    Segment-leading driving range
Like its predecessor, the new Kona Electric offers two different zero-emissions battery electric powertrains, with no compromises on performance.

The long-range version with a 64 kWh battery features an electric motor which delivers maximum power of 204 PS (150 kW. The basic version has a battery capacity of 39.2 kWh, with the motor delivering 136 PS (100 kW),. The long-range battery version provides a maximum speed of 167 km/h, with the standard-range battery version offering 155 km/h.

Both powertrain versions deliver 395 Nm of immediate torque, ensuring the new Kona Electric is fun-to-drive with full power available from the first second.

Since its launch in 2018, the Kona Electric has been equipped with one of the best all-electric driving ranges in its segment. After tyre improvements on the 2020 model year update, the 64 kWh battery version offers a class-leading range of 300 miles (WLTP) on a single charge. Meanwhile, the 39.2 kWh model offers a range of up to 189 miles  (WLTP).

The shift-by-wire system enables operation of the car simply by pressing buttons to switch driving modes. It also eliminates the routing space required for housing the mechanical linkages between a normal shifter and the transmission, providing additional storage space in the front of the car.

The Smart Adjustable Regenerative Braking system allows the new Kona Electric to automatically set the regenerative braking level, while paddle shifts behind the steering wheel allow the driver to adjust the intensity of the regenerative braking. The system recuperates additional energy when possible. Regenerative braking is maximised when keeping the left pedal held, allowing the driver to even bring the vehicle to a full stop – without use of the brakes.

Charging the lithium-ion polymer battery from 10 to 80 per cent only takes about 47 minutes using a 100 kW direct current (DC) fast charger. The Kona Electric features an optional 10.5-kW three-phase on-board charger, allowing for significantly shorter charging times using public three-phase AC charging stations or with a private compatible wall box at home. Drivers also have the option of charging their car at a compatible regular household power socket using the ICCB-cable (in-cable control box).

    Even more best-in-class safety features
The new Kona Electric features a state-of-the-art Hyundai safety package for peace of mind. Hyundai SmartSense provides comprehensive, best-in-class active safety and driving assistance systems, and the new Kona Electric is now equipped with even more functions than its predecessor.

Upgraded Hyundai SmartSense features that feature on the new Kona Electric include Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), which offer not just warnings to drivers, but also implement the brakes where necessary. RCCA works to avoid a collision when reversing, as the car’s sensors detect approaching vehicles from both sides, with the brakes applied if necessary. Meanwhile, BCA engages the car’s differential brakes to prevent an accident if another vehicle is detected near the rear corner and the driver attempts to change lanes.

Another feature new to this model is Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA), which alerts the driver if they do not react fast enough when the vehicle ahead of them starts moving. Further new safety features include Safe Exit Warning (SEW) and Rear Seat Alert (RSA). SEW warns passengers intending to exit the vehicle if it is not yet safe to do so. RSA is a door-checker feature that recognises if the rear doors have been opened prior to departing. When the drive is completed, the car alerts the driver if someone or something is in the back seat when they open the doors. In addition, the new Kona Electric is also available with eCall, a feature which automatically alerts emergency services if the airbags are deployed or the eCall button is pushed.

    Hyundai SmartSense safety features:

    • [NEW] Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)
    • [NEW] Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)
    • [NEW] Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA)
    • [NEW] Safe Exit Warning (SEW)
    • [NEW] Rear Seat Alert (RSA)
    • Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection (FCA-Ped)
    • Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go (SCC w/ S&G)
    • Lane Following Assist (LFA)
    • Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
    • Intelligent Speed Limit Warning (ISLW)
    • Driver Attention Warning (DAW)

    Increased comfort and convenience

A number of convenience features allow for a more comfortable ride, in particular for back seat passengers. As with its predecessor, the new Kona Electric’s second row heated seats allow rear passengers to relax when travelling on longer journeys. The new second row USB port delivers additional power to recharge devices on-board if needed. Meanwhile, an electric parking brake offers even more reassurance for drivers, and can be activated by the simple push of a button.

  • Scotland’s thin blue line begins to go green

    Hyundai Kona Electric1

Hyundai Motor UK today announces the award of an initial contract to supply circa 180 Kona Electric 64kWh vehicles to Police Scotland. The agreement supports Police Scotland’s ambition to establish the first blue light, ultra-low emission vehicle fleet in the UK while making a significant contribution towards the Scottish Government’s legally binding target to cut greenhouse gases to net-zero by 2045.

The deal currently represents Hyundai’s largest pure electric vehicle fleet order to date and follows on from numerous similar procurements from fleet customers in recent months, with Hyundai securing well over 200 new fleet policy agreements from the start of lockdown in March through until the end of August. Thanks to Hyundai’s ability to quickly meet customer demand for all-electric vehicles within weeks of ordering, delivery of the first Kona Electric vehicles to Police Scotland will begin in this month with the full order due to be fulfilled by March 2021.

Forming part of Hyundai’s expanding line-up of class-leading electrified vehicles, the Kona Electric is already a multi-award-winner. In 2019, it received a coveted Which? Best Buy and was also hailed “Best Small Family Car” in the inaugural Top Gear Electric Awards in April this year.

The Hyundai Kona Electric was chosen by Police Scotland for its usable range of up to 300 miles, its technology, practicality and its immediate availability.

The Kona Electrics join a range of other electric vehicles already operating as part of the Police Scotland fleet. Enabling officers and staff to fulfil their duties with a minimal carbon footprint, while also reducing fuel and maintenance costs, the Kona Electric fleet will serve as a testbed to give Police Scotland greater experience of operating an increasing number of zero-emission vehicles.

Deputy Chief Constable Will Kerr said: “Police Scotland’s Fleet Strategy is highly ambitious, with the aim of having the UK’s first ultra-low emission blue light fleet by 2030. This substantial contract marks a major step towards that goal by making ULEVs accessible to more of our officers and staff.

“Achieving our Fleet Strategy aims will significantly reduce carbon emissions, while also reducing maintenance and servicing costs. It’s one of many strides the organisation is taking to achieve a sustainable, flexible service which meets the needs of our fellow citizens while also providing a modern, fit-for-purpose fleet for our people to use in the course of their work.

“The gradual transition of our unmarked fleet from our current internal combustion engine vehicles to ULEVs will also assist with improving the existing fleet, as the age and mileage thresholds for replacing existing vehicles is being reduced. This means officers will have use of more modern vehicles while reducing maintenance and repair costs, at the same time as increasing the resilience of our contingency fleet.”

Ashley Andrew, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor UK said:  “We are delighted to be able to support Police Scotland in their determination to transform to an ultra-low emission fleet with the immediate supply of a number of Kona Electric vehicles. Police Scotland’s approach to cutting greenhouse gases by switching to more sustainable means of transport mirrors our goal to become one of the leading providers of electric vehicles in the UK. Demand for our pioneering electric vehicles for fleets has been exceptionally high in recent months and looks set to continue as we move towards a zero-emission future.”
