  • Kahn Releases Barolo Black Land Rover Defender XS 110

The beginning of the week starts with two exceptional news about the Land Rover family of vehicles. The first one, which we will review below, is on A. Kahn Design’s latest project involving the Defender XS 110, and the second one we will keep in secret for the next hour. Ok, ok, it is about one of the most impressive cars in the segment, frequently adored by women and recently announced as a symbol of Britain. Have you guessed it?

But, going back to the topic, the team of specialists at Kahn sent us several photos of a Defender XS 110, with some detailed information which reveals what they have changed. Firstly, we must mention that some of the upgrades included are delivered Chelsea Truck Company’s.

Thus, we have a very contemporary looking seven seater, dressed in Barolo Black “coat”. Starting with the front of the vehicle, it now features brand new X-Lander grille and challenging bumper in which are integrated LED Diamond bright headlights. There are also visible front and rear wide wing arches and bumper sump guard mesh hood vents that basically help to minimize the temperature of the engine.

Another prominent asset of the updated exterior is the new shoes. They are called Mondial wheels and are painted in Piano Black. On all four corners they come in the size of 9×20 inches and are coupled with 275x55x20 tyres. Beneath them we can also see painted brake callipers. At the back, we can not pass without mentioning the twin crosshair exhaust system and hard-wearing mud flaps.

Opening the door, one immediately feels the luxury imbedded inside this SUV. Almost every single element, ranging from the centre glove box to the roof headlining and sun visors is upholstered in seats in quilted and perforated leather. Of course, the same has happened to the three rows of seats.

Those inside will also enjoy the new interior look, due to the addition of Churchill time clock & rev counter fascia, door, new Alcantara sun visors, the vented machined aluminium foot pedals and tuning company’s billet steering wheel. Great project, isn’t it?

  • Kahn Land Rover Defender 2.2 TDCI XS 110 Chelsea Wide Track Edition

Kahn-Land-Rover-Defender-Chelsea-Wide-Track-THUMBThis Land RoverDefender has been treated so well that in its current state it looks amazing. The seven-passenger Fungus Green vehicle has been adorned abundantly with a lot of rugged and luxurious amenities that set it apart from the average Defender. First, Chelsea Truck Company has transformed it into a 2.2 TDCI XS 110 Wide Track Edition we haven’t seen before. The team had to rework substantial aspects of the exterior and interior of the SUV in order to make it stand out.

They have begun with the exterior, which is now even more rugged and exclusive than before. Precisely, the front fascia has been entirely changed and now includes a new X-Lander front grille in Fungus Green and Old England White.

They have added also a new bumper with integrated lighting, cross-hair military headlights, bumper sump guard mesh hood vents to help cool the engine. Just like at the front, the rear also got wide wing arches. The roof contrasts to the overall design theme in Old England White.

Next, the tuners have equipped it with a set of commanding 1948 Defend wheels in satin black, which come in the size of 8.0 x 16″ and are fitted with 265x75x16 tyres. Behind the wheels we can see the liquid red painted brake callipers.  The exterior look is rounded out by the twin crosshair exhaust system, 2″ suspension lift, up rated gas shocks/steering damper, welcome ambient illumination package and hard- wearing mud flaps.

While the dark-tinted privacy glass leaves the onlookers guessing what is on the inside, the occupants enjoy a luxury atmosphere. This is where the might of A. Kahn Design can be seen in its full glory. To be more precise, the front and rear seats have been replaced with GTB sport units with quilted and perforated tan nappa leather.

In addition, the centre glove box, passenger dashboard, grab handles, door panel inserts, instrument binnacle, rear door panel, roof headlining and sun visors are also upholstered. The interior also benefits from a Churchill time clock and speedo/rev counter facia in red, alpine satellite navigation system, door entry sill plates, rear cabin access LED lights, reverse camera, Kahn billet steering wheel and vented machined aluminium foot pedals.

What is more, the rear floor space has been substituted with classic teak decking, including a transparent pod for the Alpine stereo amplifier. At last, Kahn branding rounds-out the package.

  • Kahn And Evanta Collaboration Results in a Flying Huntsman and Barchetta

Ant_Kahn_production_vehicles-THUMBA. Kahn Design has teamed up with Evanta. The name of the newly formed team will be Ant-Kahn and they already have number of projects underway. The result of their collaborative partnership will be a hot-rod Defender and a custom Barchetta. Of course, the focus is on luxury and quality, which will be achieved via modern prototyping and manufacturing technology. At the same time both companies will also focus on the details that are associated with traditional coach building.

Afzal Kahn has revealed that they are already working on their future plans that aim to extend from coach-building to manufacturing series motor vehicles. He promises that number of models will come to fruition in the coming weeks and months.

Ant Anstead on the other hand stated that both British companies will be dedicated to continue building upon the historical excellence of British vehicle manufacture. For him the most important is to step upon and develop the traditions of hand finished coach building.

In the forthcoming months, Ant-Kahn plans to introduce the “Flying Huntsman” vehicle, which is a new take on the classic Land Rover Defender. If you remember, we have already seen this concept car in a sketch form. It will probably include the 6.2 litre V8 powerhouse coupled with a six speed electronic gearbox and will produce around 550 horsepower (404 kW).

After the production of the Huntsman, there will be a release of an Ant-Kahn original. This will be a retro-styled Barchetta that is scheduled to officially debut at the Goodwood Revival motor show. The third car planned to be built is a completely restyled Aston Martin WB12, which will be shown later this year.

  • Kahn Land Rover Defender 2.2 TDCI XS 10 Chelsea Wide Track Edition

Kahn-Land-Rover-Defender-Chelsea-THUMBKahn Land Rover Defender 2.2 TDCI XS 10 Chelsea Wide Track Edition has a very to long name but it is definitely a nice project. The engineering and the design of every element has been done with intent. In other words, this vehicle is blend of refinement, and its all-terrain capability makes it distinctive and unique. The exterior color here has been decided in the unusual Nara Bronze, which in my opinion looks very good. The paint scheme is complimented by wide range of additions.

At the front, we can see that the tuners at A. Kahn Design have included a new front bumper with bumper lighting, front bumper sump guard, front wide wheel arches in matt black, and LED diamond bright headlights as well as bonnet vents with mesh. At the back we can see a rear wheel wide wheel arch and wings in matt black, exhaust shields and Kahn crosshair exhaust system.

Other added design elements that make this Land Rover truly one-of-a-kind are the privacy glass, painted brake calipers, hardwearing mud flaps, and of course the Kahn 9 x 20″ Mondial wheels in volcanic black as well as the Chelsea truck company spare wheel cover.

Going inside, the car’s exquisite interior features front sports GTB, middle bench and rear folding seats in quilted and perforated leather with Harris Tweed detailing. The other enhancements are a centre glove box, rev counter facia in red, centre dashboard surround, Kahn single spoke leather steering wheel, rev counter facia, dashboard and instrument binnacle, hard wearing front and rear cabin floor mats, Kahn fire extinguisher, Churchill time clock facia insert and vented foot pedals in machined aluminium.

  • Kahn Land Rover Discovery Twin Turbo XS RS300

Kahn-Land-Rover-Discovery-Twin-Turbo-XS-RS300-THUMBThe latest modification in the garage of the premium luxury tuners at A. Kahn Design is the Kahn Land Rover Discovery Twin Turbo XS RS300 look for practicality and style.

The Land Rover received a makeover and now it is capable of setting a fashion statement in every sense. The contributor for this is the aggressive looking styling package, which now adorns the Discovery.

To be more precise, the package comprises of RS Front Grille with 3D mesh, 9.5 x 22 and 10.5x 22” RS-R wheels at the front and rear respectively, RS vented front and rear air dams, brake calipers finished in liquid red, privacy tinted glass, door entry sill plates in stainless steel, front wheel arch LED light strips and Kahn enamel tailgate logo and wing shield branding.

Kahn’s interiors are always a masterpiece. No exception is the modified interior design of this model. The bespoke touch includes front, middle and rear seats in quilted and perforated black and red leather, clock bezel surround finished with Swarovski Diamonds, colored rev counter dial and four door armrest stitching.

But there is more – one can also see throughout the coupe Kahn red enamel key ring with Kahn logo, diamond quilted centre glove box, time clock facia insert, floor mats, vented foot pedals in machined aluminum, and santoniri black colour change. This tuning is definitely for connoisseurs and it is worth the attention in every aspect.

  • Kahn Teaser RS250 Range Rover Evoque

Kahn-RS250-Range-Rover-Evoque-thumbThis is something new. Kahn Design releasing a teaser? Must be something big. In all honesty, it is big. A Range-Rover Evoque kind of big. It’s will be called the RS250 and all we have for now is this sketch. The release date is set for sometime in July this year.

As we have established, the base product is an Evoque. And that’s a hard piece of motoring to ruin. The sketch looks good but those LEDs on the side of the bumper simply seem too much. But hey, it’s a fashion statement so why not.

Rather surprisingly however, the overhaul will go beyond that. Yes, there will be an engine upgrade which is still kept in secret. Also, the whole program will be divided into two stages – 1 and 2.

Stage 1 will include a front bumper complete with fog lights and 3d mesh inserts (the upper grille will also be new with 3d mesh). Count the LED in as well. For the back a bumper is intended, that has diffuser which houses the tips of the stainless steel twin central crosshair exhaust system. A bootlid spoiler complements the whole look. The Evoque’s stance should be lower as well. And meaner with the 22” RS-XF alloy wheels. As a finishing touch there’s going to be a hood/roof stripe painted on.

Stage 2 will further add wide wheel arches (as if the Evoque lacks that), side skirts and a roof spoiler.

This being Khan Design, one can imagine that the whole program can be rather flexible – additional components for the exterior and the interior as well, will be available.
