  • What is so Special About JE DESIGN’s Volkswagen Touareg?

JE Design VW Touareg Front ViewToday is the day of tunings, since this is the fifth. This time, my attention has been caught by JE DESIGN’s Volkswagen Touareg, which stands proud and beautiful. The flagship SUV now features more power, lowered stance and a new aero kit. To go into details, the latter comprises of brand new radiator grille, front spoiler, wheel arch flares. It adds also new roof spoiler and rear diffuser in order to make everything perfect.

In fact, the wider wheel arches are complemented by the new wheel spacers, an electronic lowering and new set of 22-inch wheels in matt black. These elements further emphasize the aggressive nature of the car.

But the designers did not modify only the exterior. The most impressive thing about this Touareg is the engine tuning. JE DESIGN has given the SUV additional control unit boost. The effect is that the V8 TDI has an increased output from 340 hp (250 kW) to 410 hp (301 kW). The torque has also grown significantly from 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) to 930 Nm (686 lb-ft).

Believe it or not, as a result this VW can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds! For an extra “power comfort” one can also add to this engine upgrade stainless steel twin tailpipes, which also serves as a visual complement. At last, the interior has minor upgrades like company’s logo on the door sill panels.

  • JE DESIGN Seat Ibiza FR Delivers More Sportiness

JE-DESIGN-Seat-Ibiza-FR-THUMBJE DESIGN Seat Ibiza FR is now conveying more sportiness than ever. Thanks to the talented tuners from JE DESIGN this Ibiza model is now equipped with a range of accessories which emphasize its features.

Here was included the unique Aerokit with its outstanding design and high quality. All the aerodynamic components – made from high-quality ABS plastic, fulfill the legal requirements with flying colors.

To be more precise the Aerokit includes a front spoiler, headlight bezel, side skirts, carbon-look tail panel, carbon-look rear apron diffuser and a roof edge spoiler. A stainless steel sports exhaust system with a left/right tailpipe is also available as an additional option to the package.

  • Beefy Porsche Cayenne by JE Design

JE-Design-Porsche-Cayenne-thumbJE Design have come up with a bodykit for the Porsche Cayenne that’s going to set you back 28,038 Euros ($34,338). It’s as if they have skinned an Alfa-Romeo Giulietta in a bit to create an exotic coat.

The kit does not even sound that sophisticated – The front skirt (which comes in two versions, one for the Cayenne Turbo/GTS and one for the Cayenne Diesel/S) utilizes the standard LED daytime running lights. Both skirts however do boast an optimized airflow and some low-mounted fog lights as well as long beam lights next to them. The JE Design hood also showcases some airflow thanks to three air outlets. At the back, 100 millimeter pipes (four of them) surround a diffuser while the C pillars get a pair extension. Also the wheel arches flare more know thanks to the new fenders. In case one feels like towing something with the now even more muscular Cayenne, there’s a cover on the rear bumper that hides the coupling device. The side sills also blend into the standard Cayenne design yet they radiate their own sportishness.

An aggressive stance is achievable through the suspension as well. A JE Design air module can be controlled through an iPhone app and does not hinder Porsche‘s Active Suspension Management damping system. Add to that four 10 x 22-inch alloy rims that have either five double spokes or five single spokes. The 295/30 R22 tires fill in nicely the beefed up wheel arches especially when we consider the 60 mm front and 80 mm back spacers.

It’s not all show and tell though. The Cayenne can seriously start shifting down the road with the JE Design engine management upgrades which are available for both petrol and diesel engines. The end power output may end up at 610 hp – serious stuff.

The stance is improved by installing a set of suspension-lowering springs putting the ride 35 mm closer to the ground – €149. If you prefer, there is a coil-over suspension, which can lower the car up to 50-60mm.

The ride rolls 7J x 17” Multispoke alloy wheels finished in shadow silver or matt black with a polished lip. The set is €1809 and €1920, respectively. There is a bigger variant of 7.5J x 18” wheels set with 215/35 R18 tires also in the Multispoke design. The shadow silver variant is €2380 and the matt black with a polished lip €2460.

  • JE Design Porsche Panamera 970

JE-Panamera-970-thumbJE Design have been working on a Porsche recently and this is the end result – the JE Design Panamera 970. Judging by the pictures, we can’t decide whether they have made an ugly car even uglier or not. We do know however, that the power is up and when thundering down the road, bystanders do not pay attention to small details like aesthetics, right?

Performance upgrades for both, the Panamera Diesel and Panamera Turbo are available. The former is rather subtle but the one for the petrol restores the balance. The 3.0-liter, 250 horsepower diesel gets an ECU tweak that translates into an additional package of ponies (50 more) and some more torque (from 550 Nm to 650 Nm). That newfound power sheds .2 seconds off the 0 to 60 time which now stands at 6.5 seconds. On the flip side, the 4.8 bi-turbo petrol Panamera already has a dramatically more powerful engine – 500 horsepower in total to be exact. Add the ECU upgrade to that and you get 600. Torque is up from 700 to 850 Nm and the result is a 3.8 second 60 mph sprint. It all sounds like engine abuse but actually the packages are TUV certified and the owners get a one-year warranty with the option to extend it even further.

To match the performance, some aerodynamic OEM bits and pieces have been bolted on the outside. A new front bumper now channels more airflow into the intercooler and has some rather ostentatious LED daytime running lights. The sideskirts have a strange hollow design that culminates in rear air inlets. At the back, a rear spoiler is there to stay while the rear bumper has an integrated diffuser and an air outlet. All fits perfectly with the standard exhaust system but probably it wouldn’t hurt anyone to go with the JE Design cat-back exhaust system that has controllable valves on the petrol Panamera. Each of the four oval pipes at the back end are 100 mm in diameter.

The standard “Porsche Active Suspension Management” system tells the dampers how to behave has been preserved, but now an air-suspension from JE Design hunkers down the Panamera even lower. From 20 to 30 mm lower to be more precise. At the very least. with that lowered stance, the “Pandora” 9 and 10,5 x 22 wheels fill the wheel arches even more impressively. Tires, front and back – 265/295 wide and 30/25 thin, complete the overall JE Design feel.

  • 2011 JE DESIGN Audi Q7 S-Line

2011 JE DESIGN Audi Q7 S-Line thumbThe car-tuning manufacturer JE DESIGN is offering all Audi Q7 S-Line models of the Facelift generation an astonishing enhancement in exclusivity with a multipart bodywork kit and 22-inch alloy wheels. Thus the result is that is being provided more individuality and more prestige!

The JE DESIGN bodywork kit includes door trims and aligns harmoniously with the Audi Q7’s contours and more importantly – enhances the SUV’s design. The high-class wheel arches were glued to the bodywork. Therefore the vehicle is now widened by 30 millimeters per side at the front and 40 millimeters per side at the rear. The sporty look of the Audi Q7 S-Line comes as a result of the fender extensions on the rear axle with their vent holes. Additionally there are included front-spoiler corners, a PDC-suitable (Park Distance Control) rear-apron extension, and two JE DESIGN double-tailpipe covers, all of which are fashioned from highly polished stainless steel in an attractive diamond-shape design. Moreover there is a dynamic roof wing with side covers above the C pillars. It adds more emphasis to the sporty look of the JE DESIGN “Widebody”. And if you are interested of purchasing the complete styling package, including tailpipe covers, it is available directly from the tuning manufacturer with a starting price of 7,438 euros.

    2011 JE DESIGN Audi Q7 S-Line
    2011 JE DESIGN Audi Q7 S-Line

To make it more appealing, the designers made the wheel arches beneath the broad fenders filled out by single-part 10 x 22 inch SUV Select alloy wheel rims. To make it even more individual, the five-spoke design wheels are available in three different color schemes: matte-black, front silver matte / shadow silver, front polished / graphite matte, polished lip, and are fitted 295/30R22 tires. On the other hand there is also another option: the new JE DESIGN complete wheel set SCORPIO which is available in 10 x 22 inches. The set offers a completely new interpretation of the popular double-spoke design and is also available in the size 9 x 20 inches in matte-black with polished-silver rim flange. For both 22-inch complete wheel sets (which are available from 5,190 euros) JE DESIGN installs 30-millimeter-thick (front) and 40-millimeter-thick (rear) wheel spacers (409 euros) under the expansive wheel-arch extensions of the widebody kit. Furthermore the wheels can be made with a lowered suspension which will cost the additional 1,428 euros. To be more precise, an electronic adjustment of the Audi “adaptive air suspension” lowers the chassis by around 35 millimeters. It is of course still present the functionality of the smooth-adjustment damping system with its five different damping modes (“automatic, “comfort”, “dynamic”, “lift”, and “offroad”).

Additional enhancements are made in terms of performance. For example, the Q7 4.2 TDI tiptronic’s 250 kW (340 PS) standard series power is increased to up to 302 kW (410 PS). This is possible thanks to optimized programming of the control electronics, which this also increase the maximum torque to 895 NM (660 lb-ft). Hence, with its new power, the SUV accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in only 6.1 seconds! In addition for only 1,499 euros you can get the JE DESIGN new control-system software. For this price you will get one-year guarantee for the engine, turbocharger, transmission, and drive train, which can be extended by a further year for just 199 euros. However this is possible only if the Audi Q7 is not older than two years and has less than 100,000 kilometers on the clock.

The high-quality JE DESIGN accessories have received many awards in international specialist publications, are supplied with TÜV certificates, and can be entered easily into the vehicle documents. Following the performance enhancement, the Audi Q7 4.2 TDI meets statutory emissions requirements, ruling out any difficulties in the emissions test.

  • JE Design Seat Ibiza 6J Gold

JE DESIGN gives the Seat Ibiza (model 6J) an air of sporty self-confidence. The car tuner from the town of Leingarten in Baden-Württemberg has made improvements to all versions of the Spanish car with its new aerodynamics package, filigree alloy wheels and stylish interior.

As usual, the new aerokit displays the two JE DESIGN hallmarks: design and quality. The bodykit elements don’t just give the Seat Ibiza a sporty appearance; they’re also distinguished by their first-class workmanship and perfect fit. Using high-quality ABS or composite materials, JE DESIGN manufactures the CNC-milled attachments to OEM standards. The fact that the tuned cars have passed the pedestrian protection test is further evidence of the high quality standards.

The racy look of the JE DESIGN Ibiza is due largely to its new front. The front apron with the sports radiator grille (without the Seat logo), available for EUR 654.50 including VAT, frame the car’s striking LED daytime running lights, each with six light emitting diodes at each side (EUR 238 for the complete set). The cleaning system for the headlamps retains its full functionality. In addition, the headlamp covers (available for EUR 89) give the Seat that menacing appearance. The curved side skirts (available for EUR 299) and the rear apron attachment (also available for EUR 299) complete the car’s aerodynamics package, the components of which can also be fitted individually. The body parts can be purchased for all Seat Ibiza versions, in other words for the 3-door, 5-door and Estate ST models as well as for the sports versions, the FR and the Cupra.

JE Design Seat Ibiza 6J Gold
JE Design Seat Ibiza 6J Gold

In keeping with the car’s sporty appearance, the suspension lowering springs (available for EUR 149) lower the Ibiza by around 35 millimetres, giving the Multispoke alloy wheels a particularly dynamic looking edge. The complete wheel sets are available from JE DESIGN either in size 7 x 17 inches ET 35 with sports tyres of size 215/40 or in size 7.5 x 18 inches ET 35 with tyres of size 215/35. The car’s sporty transformation by JE DESIGN is not just about appearances though. The power of the 1.6 TDI CR engine for example is boosted from 105 hp (77 kW) to 121 hp (89 kW). This is made possible by the additional electronics box (available for EUR 1,399), which is connected by way of a plug-and-play system and reduces the time taken for the car to go from 0 to 100 km/h from 10.9 to 10.2 seconds. With torque of 282 instead of 250 Newton metres, the JE DESIGN tuned Seat Ibiza can attain a maximum speed of 194 km/h (compared with 188 km/h in the standard models).

The car’s interior is first rate too. The Elegance leather upholstery (available for EUR 1,599) rarefies the Ibiza’s interior with its exclusive luxury. The steering wheel (EUR 399), the gear lever and the handbrake sleeve (available together for EUR 179) are also covered with fine rawhide.
