  • Infiniti Concept Vision Gran Turismo can be yours today an here’s how [w/video]

Infiniti Concept Vision Gran Turismo front viewInfiniti has finally lifted the virtual veil of the Concept Vision Gran Turismo: a car intended to be driven by those who have a Play Station and playing the Gran Turismo 6 (GT6) game. The model will be available for download from today and it envisions an Infiniti car from the future. Hopefully – not the very distant one.

The high performance concept vehicle was created through an intimate work with the creators of the famous car-game. If you remember, the project has stated initially with an ambitious global Infiniti Design competition, which set the rule to “design the pure Infiniti GT car.”

The best model was the winning one and it was created by company’s design team in Beijing. As we can see it features the characteristic design of the bran, a powerful shape, sensual and audacious surfaces and a lot of performance spirit.

The process of the design began with the making of hand sketching, which were then refined digitally, and the refined by hand sculpting. The last step was the final digital refinement. In addition, the people in the project were so involved that they made thorough examinations and calculations of technical features like the aerodynamics and engine performance.

It was estimated that the front mid-ship/trans-axle powertrain enables 45:55 front/rear weight balance. In terms of aerodynamics, the under-floor airflow control, front and back diffusers, and uniquely shaped rear spoiler allow this concept to show higher performance.

So if you are one of those lucky to have the GT6, you can now download the concept vehicle and discover that performance first-hand. In addition, if you own (virtually) the GT6, you will be among the first the test drive it on world famous tracks across the globe. Enjoy!

  • Infiniti Q60 Concept Takes After Q80 Inspiration and Q50 Eau Rouge [VIDEO]

Voila! Infiniti gave us a full preview of its 2016 Q60 Concept so we could finally see what to expect.

Under the hood, there is said to be a newly created V6 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine that takes advantage of a direct injection that is able to produce a hell-of-performance. According to the manufacturer, this power unit is part of an innovatively smaller, lighter and more efficient range of engines.

The new Infiniti Concept car shows pronounced wheel arches which add a rugged touch to the overall masculine look. Being 4690 mm (184.6 inches) long, 1865 mm (73.4 inches) wide and 1370 mm (53.9 inches) high and in combination with the “razor-sharp edges and strikingly deep recesses”, the vehicle seems to be lower than it actually is.

Still though, there are repercussions of the line curves of the Q80 Inspiration and Q50 Eau Rouge. The sleek and highly elegant Infiniti Q60 inherited the Inspiration’s low roofline, intelligent headlamps and stylish leather seats. From the Eau Rouge, the two-seater drew the Formula One-inspired lower intake and exhaust pipes.

“The Q60 Concept has the emotion and sculpting of the Q80 Inspiration. At the same time, it adopts the performance aspects of the Q50 Eau Rouge, which is immediately associated with Infiniti performance and the science and sport of Formula One racing,” explained Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti Executive Design Director.

The assertive look of the car is also found inside where the car arrives with premium components featuring a leather-wrapped two-toned black and white instrument panel and door inserts. There is also a double hand-stitched leather steering wheel. Using a variety of leathers to cover the seats, Infiniti manages to not only complement the car’s exhilarating individuality but also offers the best comfort possible.

Obviously the culminating sense of artistry is everywhere when it comes to the 2016 Infiniti Q60 Concept!

  • Infiniti Lifts the Covers Off: Concept Vision Gran Turismo is Here [VIDEO]

Infiniti Concept Vision Gran Turismo was just fully revealed! The luxury company has removed the covers from the new vehicle, which will be included in the popular Gran Turismo 6 (GT6) game. The PlayStation3 users don’t have to wait further, because the concept car can be now downloaded. In addition, the supercar also exemplifies a vision of what a high performance Infiniti could look like in the future.

In fact, the model was created through close collaboration with the creators of the racing game.  It is a project that started as a competition to “design a pure Infiniti GT car”. Of course, there was a winning model. It was born from the theme put forward by Infiniti’s Design team in Beijing.

Car’s shape is powerful, sensual and at the same time audacious.

As you can see, it is an instance of an ambitious racing vehicle. The development of Vision Gran Turismo started with hand sketching. It then proceeded with digital refinement and later – by hand sculpting refinement. Then it returned again to digital for final refinement.

Even more, the team actually went through examinations and calculations of technical features such as aerodynamics and engine performance. To be more precise, the front mid-ship / trans-axle powertrain allows for a finely distributed 45:55 front/rear weight balance. This actually allows users to enjoy rear drifting.

In terms of aerodynamics, the under-floor airflow control, front and back diffusers, and the one-of-a-kind rear spoiler enables the vehicle to achieve high performance without any sacrifices on the design of the body.

  • Infiniti Previews Mysterious Car Debuting in Paris

Infiniti_Paris_Teaser-THUMBThe next news for today from Infiniti is slightly strange. The company has released a teaser image showing the grille and emblem of a future car, as well as a press released which hasn’t got more than 40 words in it. The company has stated in it that it will push the preconceived limits with more style and substance. It also disclosed that it will share a vision – “its soul – on a scale not seen before from the company”.

The last sentence however says more than the photograph or the text together: “À bientôt.” This French phrase means in English “See you soon”. This clearly had lead us to the thought that the future Infiniti model will debut at the Paris Motor Show, which will take place between 4th and 19th of October.

Clearly that photograph doesn’t say much about the upcoming vehicle, except for the elegant detailing on the grille pattern. Nevertheless, the grille has almost the same shape like most of the company’s products.

What we expect, given the image and the scarce details, is that the car will be a concept vehicle rather than a production one. The mystery which keeps us still hanging is the question in what form this vehicle will be.
