Holden Upgrades the Beloved Colorado Model With Limited Trim!

2016 Holden Colorado LS-X Limited Edition Holden has announced the latest Limited Edition upgrade to the Colorado LS 4×4 Crew Cab pickup, which will arrive in dealerships in October. Geared with various features, the Colorad LS-X addition will bring style and some sweet technical additions.

The special pack will add neat 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps and alloy sports bar. And in addition, it will reshape the style of the vehicle with smoked bonnet protector and one-of-a-kind LS-X badging. Colorado LS-X 4×4 will be available in mid-October and providing that there will be only 750 units, it is a good idea to book your now. LS-X will be built on the base of LS 4×4 Crew Cab and offers 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, alloy sports bar, special LS-X badge and neat carpet flooring.

Holden Cruze Makes Debut as Victorian Police Vehicle

Holden Cruze Victorian Police Vehicle Front and Side View Holden Cruze is the newest police vehicle of the Victorian Police in Australia. The model is currently used for the same purposes in Mexico, Russia and Malaysia. The sedan with the specification SRi is going to join the Commodore with the aim to help the police officers make the roads safer, starting from October.

Why this particular model will be at so good assistance? First, because of its engine. It is powerful, but at the same time efficient. Cruze SRi is driven by the 1.6 litre turbocharged unit connected to a six-speed Active Select transmission. The engine produces 180HP (132kW) of power and generates 230Nm (170 lb-ft) of torque.

2015 Holden ClubSport 25th Anniversary Comes With More Details

2015 Holden ClubSport R8 25th anniversary has finally comes with some more details. As you know, Australia’s leading vehicle manufacturer used the ClubSport name for the first time back in 1990 with the VN model, that offered a 5.0-liter engine, generating 244 hp (180 kW) and 400 Nm of torque. Holden Shows More Details for the Latest Insignia VRX Model

The first AWD turbocharged sedan, that Holden will produce is ready for the market. The start of the production will mark Holden’s latest European product onslaught. Following the successful launch of Astra and Cascada last month, Holden plans to go on the top of the range with the latest Insignia VRX. The vehicle itself catches the eye with beautiful design, hi-tech gadgets and highest quality available.

Built in Germany, the Insignia VRX features improved AWD technology and a sporty performance, thanks to the 2.8-Litre V6 turbocharged engine, that, combined with the six-speed automatic transmission brings 329 hp (239 kW) and 435 Nm of torque.

The latest Holden model will come with sophisticated technologies, that include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lange Change Alert and Auto Emergency Braking. But with the latest add-ons come and some well-known techs like Adaptive Forward Lightning, Blind Sport Alert and FlexibleRide Suspension.

Insignia will be offered with three performance packages: Standard, Sport ant VRX, that allow full customization, precisely done for every single customer. Depending on the pack, the Insignia will feature responsive accelerator, sport steering, better suspension and fine-tuned rear bias AWD setting.

But the goodies do not end here. The latest Insignia model will feature MyLink infotainment system, eight-inch touch screen media display and premium audio system, that comes with seven high-quality speakers.

Holden Releases Storm Special Edition Pack One More Time!

Holden has reissued the VF Commodore Storm Special Edition for all 2015 SV6 and SS sedan, ute and sportwagon body shapes. The well-known VF Storm is based on Australia’s Best Car winner, VF Commodore SV6 in addition to the SS model. Both vehicles have already demonstrated interesting list of features, that include Auto Park Assist, Rear View Camera with Reverse Traffic Alert and MyLink info system and 8-inch multimedia touch screen.

The VF Storm Special Edition pack includes high-quality components and gadgets like Satellite Navigation, front fog lights, alloy wheels. Holdon Executive Director Peter Keley says, that the 2015 VF Storm package will be very popular among Australian drivers. He ensures us, that thr VF Storm Special Edition will also be as successful as the 2014 pack was.

The VT Storm Special Edition pack includes:

Satellite Navigation, Front Fog Lamps, 18-inch dark finish alloy wheels, red contrast seat stitching, “Storm” embroidery on dash, “Storm” exterior badging. The VF Storm Special Content is available for SV6 and SS models.

Holden Commodore itself comes with two engine variations. The first one is the SV6 Storm and has a 3.6-Liter V6 engine, capable of producing 281 hp (210 kW) and 350 Nm. The secon one is the SS Storm model, that is a V8 6-liter monster, that produces 362 hp (270 kW) and 530 Nm.

Holden Releases “Lightning” Car Dubbed by Fan [VIDEO]

It is the Holden Commodore SV6 that has been named ‘Lightning’ by a fan after a Facebook competition held in January. The person who won it is Eu Wyn Wong and the result is a special edition which will go on sale later this month. The fan-named model will be available on two versions: SV6 sedan and ute. As a special edition it, of course, it includes various additional equipment.

Common between both variants is that they will ride on 20-inch forged alloys and will be accentuated by gloss black elements. Precisely, the sedan gets gloss black lip spoiler, fender vents, front grille surrounds and side decals. On the other hand, the highlighted-with-gloss-black features in the ute are the front grille surrounds and side decals.

For those who chose the automatic transmission, they will also immediately receive an alloy foot pedals. In addition, from the picture it is visible that the ute has been made better. This is due to the new slimline hard tonneau that accentuates its athletic on-road presence.

SV6 Lighting models will be powered by the well known 3.6-liter SIDI direct-injected V6 engine, which produces 281 horsepower (210 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque.

All in all, both versions look extremely sporty and deserve some serious attention from those who like the brand. And of course, the name ‘Lightning’ describes perfectly the exciting and energetic credentials of this special edition.

Holden Commodore and Ute Storm Editions

Holden has introduced the Commodore and Ute Storm Editions specially for Australia. Both models come with some nice styling upgrades for the exterior and interior.

Outside, the Storm Special Edition can be distinguished by new fog lights, more chrome trim elements and a set of unique 18” alloy wheels fitted with low profile tires. The interior boasts some carbon fiber trim elements, red accent stitching and Storm badging on the dashboard. Last, but not least is the MyLink premium infotainment system with GPS SAT NAV.

The engine range includes two variants: an entry-level SV6 Storm with a 3.6 liter V6 delivering 281HP (210 kW) and 350Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque and the powerful SS Storm model with a 6.0 liter naturally aspirated V8 – 362HP (270 kW) and 530Nm (390 lb-ft) of torque.

If you want more power, you can always order the Walkinshaw Performance package boosting the V8 engine to621 HP (457 kW) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft). There is even more powerful variant – has 675 HP (497 kW) and 955 Nm (704 lb-ft) of torque. The pricing for the additional power starts from $18,990 AUD.

There are no words about pricing for the Storm Special Edition models.

Walkinshaw Performance has introduced their tuning packages for the Holden VF Commodore and HSV Gen-F. The name of the projects are W457 and W497.

2014 Holden Commodore VF International Edition

Holden has announced the Commodore VF International Edition, which is designed to celebrate model’s Commodore’s 35^th anniversary. 2014 Holden Commodore VF International Edition is available as a saloon and a sportwagon.

The exterior features LED DRLs, “dark bezel headlamps” and 18” alloy wheels, while the interior boasts a lot of additional standard equipment including leather upholstery, Blind Spot Alert and Reverse Traffic Alert.

The engine range includes a 3.0 liter V6 SIDI – 248HP (185 kW) and 290Nm (214 lb-ft) and a 3.6 liter V6 LPG with 241HP (180 kW) and 320Nm (236 lb-ft).

2014 Holden Barina RS

Holden has announced the 2014 Barina RS, which is expected to hit the Australian market very soon. Essentially it is a rebadged Chevrolet Sonic RS so it will gain a lot of features from it.

Holden Barina RS features unique exterior styling including sports body kit incorporating larger rear spoiler, front and rear sports fascias and side skirts, new 17” alloy wheels and exclusive-for-RS paint colour, Orange Rock.

Barina RS also offers sports interior finishes including sport seats with RS branding and flat bottomed steering wheel.

Local engineering development work for Barina RS includes a unique-for-Australia electric power steering tune that was undertaken by Holden’s own engineers.

The engine will be a 1.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder with 140HP (103 kW) and 200Nm (148 lb-ft).

2014 Holden Barina RS is expected sometime in November, this year.

2014 Holden Trax – Price $23,490 AUD

Holden has announced the pricing and details about the new 2014 Trax, which is expected to hit the market next month with pricing starting from $23,490.

Every Trax model will feature as standard on every model, a 7” touch-screen with MyLink embedded apps, rear view camera, rear parking sensors, six airbags and Bluetooth™ phone and audio streaming.

Trax features the same fuel efficient 1.8 litre DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder petrol engine as the Holden Cruze and is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission (LS only) to deliver fuel economy of just 7.0 litres / 100 km. The engine delivers 140HP (103 kW) and 175Nm (129 lb-ft).

A Gen II six-speed automatic transmission with Active Select is standard on the LTZ and available as an option on the LS, delivering very competitive fuel consumption of 7.6 litres / 100 km.

In addition to the rear view camera and rear parking sensors, Holden Trax LS also features 16-inch alloy wheels, leather steering wheel with audio controls, Bluetooth™, cruise control and auto headlamps.

Trax LTZ adds 18” alloy wheels, Sportec seats, heated front seats, fog lamps, under passenger seat storage tray and trip computer. Trax LTZ is offered standard with the six-speed automatic transmission for a retail price of $27,990.
