  • TOP 10 Fastest Cars 2013 [part 2 correct version]

Watching these videos always giving me creeps (in a good way). To share the epic moments with the insane petrol heads is really satisfying. It is a real pleasure to see the joy in their eyes and the fulfilled expectations.

One of the best moments in the video is, when the driver of the extremely-powerful Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ screams “Goooooo” (in Russian) at a speed of over 310 km/h (193 mph). And the car really goes… like a lightning bolt.

The preparations, the hard work, the joy and the adrenaline are just amazing. All maters when you cross the finish line and in those 20 seconds you feel completely free…

So, the update video features a new 2nd place for Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera Underground Racing R2 Altechno driven by Leonid V., who managed to finish in 21.852 seconds, earlier last year.  The same person is also the current record holder with the Lamborghini Gallardo Nera Exelixis / GTR RT / ZOD / SPP / GTT / Altechno / Syvecs – 1,850HP (1,360 kW). He managed to cross the finish line in 20.845 seconds with 409.09 km/h (254.3 mph).

It is difficult to describe the happening, you have to feel it!

    Enjoy…

  • TOP 10 Fastest Cars 2013 [part 2]

Here is Part 2 of Top 10 Fastest Cars for 2013 by Dragtimesinfo. The domination of GT-R continues… until – Lamborghini. It is very interesting, that the last and the first place are held by a same model with around the same power. Obviously the driver means a lot even in this “easy” discipline called drag racing.

    So, the 3rd place is for Oleg B. with Nissan GT-R R35 Mk.1 Switzer R1K-X Goliath – 1,700HP (1,250 kW).  He finished in 22.251 seconds with exactly 400.00 km/h (248.6 mph).

    2nd place is for Yury M. with Nissan GT-R R35 Mk.2 AMS Alpha 12+ Turbo Drive – 1,700HP (1,250 kW). He did 22.086 seconds with 385.43 km/h (239.5 mph).

And finally the winner is Leonid V. (which is not a real surprise, because Leonid is the greatest king of Sparta). He is behind the steering wheel of  Lamborghini Gallardo Nera Exelixis / GTR RT / ZOD / SPP / GTT / Altechno / Syvecs with 1,850HP (1,360 kW). The time is simply sensational 20.845 seconds with 409.09 km/h (254.3 mph). This is way faster than all others in Top 10, so we expect a lot of improvement to those GT-Rs.

    Enjoy!

  • Nissan GT-R Switzer Goliath – 402 km/h on 1 mile

Dragtimesinfo has published another impressive video featuring a mighty Nissan GT-R. This time, the road-legal sports car is tuned by Switzer Performance and carry the name – Goliath.

Nissan GT-R Switzer Goliath managed to hit 402.23 km/h terminal speed at 1 mile drag race with 22.602 seconds time. The beast has more than 1,500whp (wheel-horsepower) at 7,000RPM.

The result is achieved using already tested and proven parts used on Ultimate Street Edition GT-R. This means using the same intercoolers, plumbing, and exhaust hardware, albeit slightly modified to handle such an increase in power.

In other words, the GT-R Goliath is completely street legal and has A/C, power steering and all other interior components.

    Enjoy!

  • Switzer Goliath Nissan GT-R

Switzer is one of the most appreciated tuning companies in the world. They have has been focused on cars that delivered blistering performance without sacrificing the comfort or reliability.

Switzer created a tuned Nissan GT-R capable of doing 9-second times at drag race or other, which as covered almost 100,000 miles since its conversion from a stock, 475 hp early GTR to an 800 hp Switzer P800.

The conversions are relatively cheap compared to the achieved performance. Still, a lot more can be done, so people ask themselves: “What if I want to push the limits? What if I don’t want to be conservative?”

The GT-R Goliath was built to explore the limits of Switzer’s package architecture, building off of the same hardware upgrades as the Ultimate Street Edition, as well as the same intercoolers, plumbing, and exhaust hardware used in the USE, as well as the P700, P800, and record-breaking R1K-X Switzer GTRs.

Keep in mind, this is not some chopped-up dyno-queen car. Grinding or welding on the chassis was not permitted, so Goliath’s firewall, frame rails, and power steering systems are totally intact.

The factory AC system is completely intact, and “is a must”, according to Switzer … which makes sense, considering how many of these cars end up in extreme climates.

“At the end of the day,” says Tym, “this is still a drivable streetcar, albeit at the limits of what most people would tolerate in real-world traffic. It’s an exercise in how far you can take a streetcar, which is what this customer wanted, even after I explained the risks and the process. The only ‘race stuff’ in the car is the fuel. In this case, it’s Q16. I’d have preferred something a little more ‘green’, like E85, but that would have been too hard for the car’s owner to source locally. So, only the fuel is ‘race’, really, but that doesn’t mean Goliath is for everyone. It’s not the no-excuses, Veyron-baiting, liter-bike chasing super car. That’s the Ultimate. Goliath … Goliath is just a monster. It’s the limit of how far we can push our GTR package hardware, so it shows the value in those packages as ‘building blocks’ to something bigger.”

So, the result: over 1500 WHP (wheel-horse-power), which is around 2000HP from the engine.
