Mercedes-AMG GLE “Edition 55” – four special models to mark the “55 years of AMG” anniversary

Mercedes-AMG is celebrating its 55th anniversary with four “Edition 55” special models based on the 2023 AMG GLE SUV and AMG GLE Coupe. Exquisite equipment and details, including Obsidian Black Metallic or MANUFAKTUR Diamond White Metallic paint, special contrasting foil, 22-inch AMG forged wheels and unique interior touches, underscore the exclusive design. For the U.S. market, 55 units of each model will be available at U.S. dealerships later this year.

As a special identifying feature of the “Edition 55,” both sides of the vehicle feature special contrasting foil highlighting the AMG crest on each side of the vehicle. Further exciting contrasts are provided by the 22-inch forged AMG cross-spoke wheels finished in matte grey with a high-sheen rim flange. “Edition 55” lettering and laurel wreath adorning the wheel center caps testify to the superb attention to detail.

With the AMG Night Package, select exterior elements are finished in high-gloss black. Depending on the specific paint color, this results in bold contrasts or fluid transitions. High-gloss black is used for the front splitter and the trim strip of the AMG front fascia, exterior mirror housings, window surrounds and trim strip of the AMG rear fascia. Added to this are heat-insulating dark-tinted glass aft of the B-pillar and two black chrome twin tailpipe trims.

Another exclusive detail is the unique fuel filler cap in silver chrome with AMG lettering, which is only revealed once the fuel filler door is opened.

The interior is characterized by the contrast of black and red. Stainless steel door sill trims with red illuminated AMG lettering welcome driver and passengers. To match, the black AMG floor mats feature red contrasting stitching and “Edition 55” lettering woven in red. The AMG Performance steering wheel wrapped in microfiber also commemorates the anniversary with “AMG” and “Edition 55” badges and underscores the exclusivity of the anniversary models. The seats are upholstered in two-tone Classic Red/Black Nappa leather. This color combination also extends to the door panels and center console. The palm rest in the center console is enhanced with an embossed AMG crest. The luxurious, sporty ambience of the interior is rounded off with AMG trim elements in matte carbon black.

Each AMG GLE SUV and AMG GLE Coupe “Edition 55” model includes a tailor-made AMG Indoor Car Cover featuring breathable outer paneling made of tear-resistant synthetic fiber fabric and an antistatic inner fabric made of flannel.

Mercedes-Benz expands GLE lineup with an electric-powered unit!

2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE Mercedes-Benz will further expand the GLE range with an introduction of a V8-powered GLE 580 4MATIC. This latest addition to the lineup would bring tons of goodies and technologies such as E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL suspension system, the first of its kind, Active Stop-and-Go Assist and available third row seat.

The heart of the beast is V8 biturbo gasoline unit with a 48-volt on-board electric system and integrated starter generator. The sophistication powerplant offers the outstanding 483hp and 516 lb-ft. Something more, the entire drivetrain system is designed in such a way that new GLE is capable of producing additional 184 lb-ft of torque and 21hp through a dedicated EQ Boost. Sounds neat, right?

Additional innovations and goodies include a variable 4MATIC AWD system and Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) multimedia system with Voice Control and natural language understanding function. Neat! Also, there will be an entire new exterior design and numerous more refreshed and upgraded details that we will cover when the official debut is a fact!

Joining the GLE 350, 350 4MATIC and GLE 450 4MATIC, the latest family member will be on sale in late 2019.

LARTE Design showcases its latest project! And it is sexy!

LARTE Design celebrates its second decade of delivering us some outstanding vehicles with a special 20^th Anniversary tuning kit with a real scoop. This is exclusive Mercedes-Benz GLE coupe package definitely impresses with style and presence. And provided that it bears the name of LARTE Design, things got really interesting. And stylish.

Definitely expressive, the GLE Coupe is honorable member of the Mercedes-Benz lineup. It is both sporty, menacingly-looking and somehow describe this aggressive, yet beautiful nature of the brand. However, LARTE Design decided to push boundaries further. As one might just say that there are no additional features to be applied, LARTE Design stylists have already had plan. And as it seems, pretty successful one.

The LARTE Mercedes GLE kit features numerous carbon-fiber components that enhance stability, control and sporty nature, mesh wire and big air intakers, exclusive front bumper that further expresses the sporty and aggressive nature of the vehicle and a neat LARTE Design air splitter. Sweet. Furthermore, the team has geared the vehicle with restyled chrome-free carbon-fiber radiator grille that is separated by large vertical bars. Mercedes GLE Coupe touched by CHROMETEC? Yes, please!

CHROMETEC is a team of professionals that got their workplace in Kleinrinderfeld, Lower Franonia and specializes in tuning Mercedes-Benz automobiles. Team’s latest project includes a Mercedes GLE Coupe crossover and we have to admit that the result is incredible!

Let’s start with the performance rates, shall we?

The additional drivetrain goodies and improvements result on a total of 296hp (221kW) of power output and massive 700lb-ft o torque. This system also benefits from TÜV part certification. Further improvements include a module for quicker throttle response and a pedalbox that harmonizes with the smooth automatic gearbox.

Additional equipment

The complete set of goodies includes CHROMETEC active sound system and a roaring V8 sound for both the gasoline and diesel units. Sounds nice, right?

In fact, this project caught our eye with its incredible focus entirely onto the engine system. There are no exclusive and additional exterior and interior fads, no unnecessary pieces of technology and in general, nothing that would spoil the fine pleasure of driving a high-quality vehicle with high-quality drivetrain system.

Mercedes-Benz GLE has been revealed last summer and it immediately became the rival of the popular BMW X6. Sharing even almost the same exterior, both large SUVs are now becoming strong part of the automotive market. What Happens When You Make the Fastest and Most Powerful Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 Coupe in the World? Here’s the Answer!

BRABUS Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 Coupe has many things to show, but mainly it can literally brag about being world’s most powerful and fastest SUV. It was revealed last week at the Geneva Motor Show, wearing new shoes specifically tailored for it: the Continental CS6 coming in 23-inches. This was the missing pivotal point that the tuners just had to add. In addition, the GLE has one-off BRABUS appearance with sportier stance, improved power output and exclusive custom interior. Here are the details.

The only thing lacking in this Mercedes-Benz were its standard wheels. BRABUS found an option with the production of the in-house made Monoblock Y “PLATINUM EDITION” high-tech forged alloys. Then it was the time to pick the appropriate size, which in this case was 10Jx23 at the front and 12Jx23 on the rear axle. The matching high-performance Continental tires were a must, and they come in sizes 295/35 R 23 and 335/30 R 23 for the front and rear, respectively.

The Fastest and Most Powerful GLE?

BRABUS Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 Coupe Engine

Yes, by far this is the most powerful and the fastest GLE currently on the market. The project is actually named BRABUS 850 6.0 Biturbo 4×4 Coupe, giving a hint of the horsepower of its engine, which by the way is a turbocharged V8 with a displacement increase to six liters.

It has a power output of 850 hp (625 kW) and a peak torque of 1,450 Nm (1,069 lb-ft) were achieve via engine conversion. This helps the supercar accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 320 km/h (200 mph).

For the power rating also take responsibility the aerodynamic-enhancement components made from naked carbon, the larger down pipes with a diameter of 75 millimeters (3.0 in) and a newly designed exhaust system. This exhaust system also produces active sound management with the throaty “Sport” mode and a subtle whisper in “Coming Home” mode. Because the announced performance needs a closer to the ground car, BRABUS added a special control module for the AIRMATIC air suspension, which lowers the ride height of the SUV by about 35 millimeters.

The in-house made high-tech carbon bodywork components include the front spoiler lip attached to the lower section of the bumper, the air intakes at the sides of the front bumper, sides with integrated LED side markers, carbon rear bumper with side air outlets and a diffuser insert, the ceramic-coated designer tailpipes marked with the BRABUS logo and tuner’s BRABUS roof spoiler. All chrome parts of the bodywork were painted in the color of the vehicle.

Speed and Power Need Refined Interior

The cabin of the vehicle is upholstered with the finest Cuoio-colored leather, Alcantara, etc. It can be seen literally everywhere: from the dashboard and seats to the door panels and the headliner. The extraordinary finish includes braided sections on the seats and door panels as well as light brown piping create custom highlights; while the headliner is made from chocolate-colored Alcantara. In addition, the BRABUS interior carbon and wood trim sets also contributes for the best in-car driving experience.

There is also a wide range of custom accessories made specifically for this cockpit and they feature aluminum door-lock pins, pedals and BRABUS RACE paddle shifters and the stainless-steel scuff plates with backlit BRABUS logo.

Believe it or Not This AMG GLE 63 S is capable of the Enormous 702 hp and 1,000 Nm

2016 performmaster Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Front View One of the most controversial models in Mercedes-Benz line-up is probably the GLE. And this is because it shares many similarities with the latest BMW’s X6 in terms of design. However, the SUV definitely made a great furor among enthusiast and Mercedes fans, because its external beauty and powerful presence is undisputable.

What about the performance of the model? Speaking of the AMG GLE 63, it has a stock power of 557 hp (410 kW) and 700 Newton meters (517 lb-ft) of torque. The more powerful variant having the “S” letter behind the 63, puts out even more: 585 horsepower (430 kW) and 760 Nm (561 lb-ft) of torque.

The latter numbers come out from the handcrafted AMG 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine. But if you are a perfectionist like the performance tuning specialists at performmaster, then you will want to put out even more on the road. So here are the details.

Due to the application of a PEC Tuning Module, the duo now pumps out a lot more. In particular, the upgrade has been based upon an extra control unit with an OEM cable harness. But let’s speak about the result. The AMG GLE 63 is now capable of 702 hp (516 kW) and 940 Nm (693 lb-ft). The “performmastered” GLE 63 S shows the same horses, but the significant change is in the Newton meters that are 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft).

At last, we should also mention about the changed top speed. These SUV icons can now reach 300 km/h instead of the limited 250 km/h.

LUMMA Design to Present Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe CLR G 800 in Frankfurt

LUMMA Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe CLR G 800 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe gets a special treatment by LUMMA Design with unique Wide Body kit called LUMMA CLR G 800. The redesigned car will make an official debut a few days ahead of the Motor Show in Frankfurt. This is a significant event because the CLR G 800 is actually the first ever wide-body conversion for the new GLE.

What is more, the wheels that this car rides on are massive! Literally. They have been developed in cooperation with Dutch tire manufacturer VREDESTEIN, measuring 24-inch. Other exclusive upgrades to this model will also include power improvement and various interior finishes.

The Details We All Want to Know

Exterior

The elegant and stylish SUV now feature sharper silhouette and edges. Large carbon fiber air intakes are positioned on their side of the new front section. New bespoke front spoiler lip is also made of the high quality light-weight material.

More air for the twin-turbo V8 is ensured by the new front and side intakes of the LUMMA Sport lightweight carbon bonnet. The aggressiveness of the vehicle is additionally strengthened by the LUMMA wheel arch extensions with side air vents that add around 50mm per each side of the car. Made from carbon-fibre, these wheel arch extensions feature side air vents.

The new side skirts are what connect the wider front and rear arches. In fact, the rear arches features something worth mentioning: brake cooling ducts.

At the rear we see carbon rear diffuser flanked by an in-house made stainless steel sport exhaust system. It features four black 100mm diameter outlets and a deep soundtrack. The tail has also received carbon rear spoiler lip as well as roof panel on the rear hatch window.

Massive Wheel & Tire Combination

VREDESTEIN and LUMMA has gathered together and developed a 24-inch wheel & tire combination. Sized 10.5”and 13.0” x 24-inch at the front and rear, respectively. The alloys are shod with 295/30ZR24 and 355/25ZR24 tires.

Interior

The interior of the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe CLR G 800 is currently under development. What we know for sure is that it will include high-quality materials like fine woods, leathers and carbon-fibre trim. LUMMA Design designers say that they would love to work with customers to make their imagination a pure fact.

Mercedes Launches the Best Selling Suv. Again.

Mercedes Benz GLE AMG The accents of the redesigned GLE are onto the different front and back looks, the extensive measures and well upgraded emission and drive systems. Mercedes-Benz Shows First Teaser of GLE AMG Sports Range

Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is scheduled to debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January next year. Two teaser images were just revealed next to the news for the expansion of the range of the AMG Sport lineup. One of the cars depict on the image is the C450 AMG Sport and the other is probably the future GLE Coupe AMG Sport. AMG Sport’s will offer enhanced performance and technical refinements and will fill the gap between the AMG Sports package for Mercedes-Benz vehicles and the classic AMG models.

In addition, the lineup will feature updated engines, standard all-wheel drive and special chassis components and brake systems. The GLE Coupe is actually the old M-Class, which is expected to change the name after the future release of the facelift model.

This means that we can expect similar engine range: a 329 hp (242 kW) twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter petrol V6 or the 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 which produces more than 570 hp (419 kW).

There is no other information on the previewed cars, but if we look very closely we will see that the SUV has a coupe-like roofline. In other words it definitely looks like the Mercedes-Benz Concept Coupe that we saw debuting at the Beijing Motor Show.

The Concept Coupe is powered by V6 engine with a displacement of 2996 cc. Its output has been rated at 333 hp (245 kW) at 5500 rpm and torque at 480 Nm (353 lb-ft) at 1400- 4000 rpm. The unit is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission with torque converter lock-up. If our suggestion is right then we will see exactly these figures in Detroit.
