  • G-Power BMW M3 Gains More Horses

G-Power specialists are mostly known for their exceptional BMW tunings and it is not a secret that they prefer to work on the M series. But who wouldn’t? The buzz around them is that they have revised their supercharger program for the V8-powered M3 model, thus making it gain 20 horses. But there is more to that. This new program also counts those who have already added a supercharger system. The benefits for them are the biggest, since they can enhance the power output of their BMW to 630 hp.

The additional power is delivered via new software for the electronic engine control. As a matter of fact, the tuners developed it from the beginning and created an entirely new set of maps for the fuelling, ignition, variable-valve-timing and boost control. Due to the new configurations they also had to mind the fuel efficiency and emissions.

The complete development process for the software took about one year to be completed. But this did not include only in-house testing, but also many kilometers on the racetrack in real driving.

The result is a powerful and dynamic engine, which puts emphasis on supreme performance. Precisely, we must take into account that the standard M3 produces only 420 horsepower (309 kW) and 400 Nm of torque. The G-Power conversion system makes the 630 horses (463 kW) and the 590 Nm of torque a reality, as well as the spectacular 4.0 seconds 0-100 km/h sprint. The top speed is up to 330 km/h.

The new 20 hp can not go without new alloys. More power just needs new wheels to run on. In this case, the BMW is fitted with Diamond-Cut double spoke Hurricane RR forged alloys that are 20 inches of size. They are shod with 245/30ZR20 and 295/25ZR20 Michelins at the front and rear, respectively.

Every BMW fan would agree that if there is so much horsepower, there should be appropriate ride height modifications. The case here is no different and we have received an M3 which is 30 mm lower to the ground. The ceramic brake system is responsible for the stopping power of the car. It has 396 mm vented discs with six-pot calipers on the front axle, and 380 mm vented discs with four-pot calipers brake at the rear. Good job guys!

  • G-Power has Christmas Present for Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG

The tuners at G-Power have always focused on the sportiest car versions. Their latest tuning is an example fort this, being a Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG. Its mighty 5.5 litres V8 biturbo motor, was boosted via Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module thanks to which the car now achieves unimaginable horsepower. The module records the information measured and submitted by the vehicle sensors before they reach the serial controller.

Then, the read-in data are changed by the microprocessor of the Bi-Tronik 5 and later submitted to the serial controller. The latter is to determine the parameters responsible for the output.

To get to the point, the serial 585 horsepower (430 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) were boosted to 705 hp (518 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft). After the power therapy, the acceleration time for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is 3.8 seconds, with a Vmax positioned at 330 km/h.

The technicians at the tuning company have also considered the compatibility of the motor hardware in their power upgrade. In other words, this means that in the external Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module, all protection and diagnosis functions are kept.

To manage this power on the streets, the Mercedes needed new shoes. G-Power decided to give it 21-inch HURRICANE RR forged wheels fitted with 265/30R21 and 295/30R21 Michelin tyres for the front and rear respectively.  They have exclusive double-spoke design and perfectly accent the rest of the body.

  • Meet the 520 HP G-Power BMW M4!

G-Power has released a tuning program for the sixth generation BMW M3 and M4 series. The car depicted on the images below is the M4 F82 and it is driven by the 3.0 litres six-cylinder engine, which includes a “default” Biturbo charge that has served as the perfect basis for an additional power increase. Due to an optimization of the motor electronics, engine’s output has now grown to 520 hp (382 kW) at 5,500–7,300 Rpm. This is an increase of 89 hp (65 kW) in comparison to the production 431 hp (317 kW).

All of this was made possible due to the addition of the Bi-Tronik 5 V1 module to the original motor control unit. There is not only an increase of horses but also in Newton meters. They have grown from 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) to 700 Nm (517 lb-ft), thus giving the BMW noticeably powerful performance.

Due to this power therapy, the M4 reaches the 100 km/h in mere 3.9 seconds, while the 0-200 km/h acceleration sprint is covered in 11.8 seconds. The maximum speed was also raised and it now exceeds 325 km/h.

This added power needs more attention in terms of wheels. For this reason, the tuners at G-Power have decided to endow the vehicle with light-weight 20-inch Huricane RR forged wheel set made in-house. The wheels were then fitted with Michelin tyres in the size of 245/30ZR20 at the front and 285/25ZR20at the rear.

What has been left unmentioned is the new GM4-RS-threaded undercarriage. It optimizes the driving behavior because it is height- and pressure-adjustable.

  • G-Power Introduces the Mighty BMW M6 F06 Gran Coupe

G-Power-BMW-M6-F06-Gran-Coupe-THUMBG-Power BMW M6 F06 Gran Coupe is the latest addition in the garage of the tuners. The biggest change they have made is via their G-Power Bi-Tronik, which is increasing the power output of the M6 Gran Coupe to the staggering 740 hp (544 kW) and 975 Nm (720 lb-ft) of torque. This means a power enhancement of 150 hp and 210 Nm of torque. G-Power uses individual solution for the engine thanks to which the amount of fuel and the ignition timing were modified.

Precisely, these modifications were made by a micro-processor that is patched in before the standard BMW ECU. In addition, ASA supercharger was used for the supercharger systems and the exhaust system has been substantially reworked and now feature cover catalysts replacement pipes and a Titanium exhaust system. The deep and throaty sound is what also complements the addition of this exhaust.

The increase on power also results in faster acceleration time. The figure from stand still to 200 km/h is now just 10,5 seconds and the top speed is more than 300 km/h. In terms of suspension, first to notice are the 21 inch G-Power Hurricane RR forged wheels, wrapped with Michelin tyres in the dimensions 255/30 ZR 21 and 295/25 ZR 21 for the front and rear, respectively. The handling is further improved via the continuously height-adjustable coil-over suspension GM6-RS with nine selectable settings each for bound and rebound.

Furthermore, there has been also added a new G-Power Braking System with six brake pistons and 420 mm brake disc diameter for the front axle. Additionally, the ceramic braking system reduces the unsprung mass by 50% percent, compared to a system with steel brake discs.

The interior of this BMW was also reworked entirely and now features exclusive accessories. Take as an example the ergonomically formed sports steering wheel or instruments in G-Power design, the noble carbon-leather fitments. The tuners have covered the plastic surfaces of the standard production M6 cockpit with leather or Alcantara. The visual highlights inside are the illuminated G-Power logos spread throughout the interior.

The new interior is rounded out by the addition of an exclusive multimedia entertainment system which includes audio system, electric powered iPads in the rear of the front seats, a lowerable main monitor from the headlining and an Apple iMac.

  • A Subtle LEIB Engineering BMW E93 M3

    LEIB-Engineering-BMW-E93-M3-shadowLEIB-Engineering-BMW-E93-M3-medium

At first glance, you might think that there’s nothing out of the ordinary with this compact BMW. You’d even be hard pressed to identify it as an E93 M3, but it is. Not only that, but it has also been through the works of LEIB Engineering – a group of after-market experts based in Germany who have chosen to approach the Bavarian in a very subtle way. Even the wheels were specifically chosen not to impress – 1-series M coupé alloys in sizes 9×19 and 10×19

Of course that elegant discreetness vaporizes once you open the bonnet. The signature orange of the SK II CS compressor system make your eyes bleed. That’s right. LEIB Engineering are working exclusively with G-Power components. In other words, we have a belt ASA T1-523 supercharger, and additional fuel pump, new injector nozzles, colder type of spark plugs and an induction air track made from a blend of carbon fiber and stainless steel. Sports air filters and ECU tweaking also come with the package. What you get then, is a 610 hp V8 with 590 Nm of torque.

There’s a proper sound track as well: a custom made exhaust system which features not only a double 100-cell sports catalytic converter, but also a valve which can be controlled from the steering wheel:

“This allows for the modification of the exhaust sound with a touch of the button, from the sonorous yet non-pervasive rumble up until the virtually unfiltered and ear-splitting V8 roar.” – argue from LEIB

As a final touch, a KW DDC coilover kit has been bolted on and integrated with the M’s iDrive software so that you can fiddle with the settings at any given moment.

  • G-Power BMW E92 M3 Hurricane RS – 720HP and 700Nm

G-Power has revealed their latest project based on BMW E92 M3. The sports coupe has received a number of upgrades, but the most important is the performance package – SK III “Sporty Drive”.

The performance upgrade include an ASA T1-724 supercharger, MAHLE forged pistons and new connecting rods. There is also a full titanium sports exhaust system and a modified crankshaft. The engine displacement has grown up to 4.6 liters, instead of 4.0.

    The result is spectacular – 720HP (530 kW) and 700Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 9.5 seconds and a top seed of 340 km/h (211 mph).

The exterior comes with full aerodynamics body kit including a front spoiler, bonnet and a boot lid with tear-off edge. The M3 HURRICANE RS aerodynamic program is manufactured from supremely light and highly strong Carbon fibre in a gas-proof autoclave. The package saves more than 10kg.

Other highlights include G-Power Clubsport coil-over suspension and 20” G-Power Silverstone Diamond forged wheels. The tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in the dimension 255/30 ZR 20 on the front axle and 295/25 ZR 20 for the rear axle to keep the vehicle in contact with the road. Braking is done with the G-POWER-ceramic brakes on the front and rear axle, which provide low-weight and reliable high-performance braking. „Fade“ is therefore a foreign word for the 6-piston brake calipers in front which bite on 396 mm rotors and the 4-piston calipers at the rear axle which clamp on 380 mm rotors.

The first start is against the B6, which set personal absolute record on ¼ mile – 12.807 seconds, but it wasn’t enough to beat the 210HP more powerful M6 G-Power, which finished the 1 mile race in 30.499 seconds with 282 km/h.

The second start is versus the mighty Alpha 12+, which obviously won the race, but the information in the end is wrong (they switched the tables for M6 ESS and the GT-R). So, the GT-R finished in 27.245 seconds with 342 km/h terminal speed, which is pretty slow time, while the M6 G-Power needed 29.930 seconds with 292 km/h.

In the third race, the Cayenne II Turbo S stopped the clock at 32.453 seconds with 252 km/h, which is pretty good for a big SUV. What is more, it was driven by a lady – Olga G.

The last start is against the mighty M6 ESS VT+, which finished in 28.358 seconds with 303 km/h, while the M6 G-Power needed 29.930 seconds with 291 km/h terminal speed, which is personal absolute record on 1 mile.
