Infiniti FX proves that size matters. No, really. This particular model just proves it. You can see it by the ridiculously large wheels. These are 32-inch Autonomo-L rollers and they make difference. Sun, seaside sight and that monstrous vehicle. Let’s check out what is happening here.
So, if you thought, that 20-inch wheels are okay, 22 are cool, remember, that there is one guy on this planet, who decided to see what will happen if he added some more 10 or 12 inches. The result says it all. For some this is just ridiculous, but for others it just kicks ass. As you can see, the wheels are applied to a gold-wrapped vehicle, that matches perfectly with the color. So, we have some nice and clean body lines, one-color finish, that together do not bring dynamics at all, but then the wheels come. They completely change the presence of the Infiniti and make it look badass and exclusive. They really make the vehicle far more massive, confident and ready for any terrain. But we all wonder, is it really thatcomfortable to go with this size?
However, with big wheels come and big responsibility. First of all, it is hard to find such big wheels and such big tires to fit them in. Secondly, it must be really hard to drive with wheels like these. But the good news is that the vehicle became distinctive and there is just a small chance for one not to notices it.
The Infiniti really looks interesting. With the golden finish and the 32-inch Autonomo-L wheels it is one of the most interesting-looking vehicles, that we have recently seen. So, what do you think about it? And how big should be the wheels of the Infiniti FX model? In fact, would you apply such big wheels on your car? Tell me with a comment on the section below.

There is also a touchscreen display SAT-NAV system with a HDD, along with Intelligent Cruise Control system, Add in Continuous Damping Control shock absorbers and Rear Active Steering.
The comfort is superb thanks to Continuous Damping Control (CDC) shock absorbers and Rear Active Steering (RAS).
“There has never been a better time to drive an Infiniti” commented Jean-Pierre Diernaz, Infiniti Europe’s acting Managing Director.
“But there can only be 500 units for the whole of Europe so we are keen that those interested register their interest as soon as possible.”, he added.
Minor updates are in store for the 2012 Infiniti FX – a slight redesign at the front, some new color schemes and new wheels. At the same time, prices remain largely unchanged.
A new profile of the front bumper means a new look. The grille has also been altered and now resembles the one which was fist seen on the 2009 Infiniti Essence concept car. The GT and GT Premium line get new five double-spoke design 20-inch wheels. The S range on the other hand, remains with the previous, distinctive 21-inch set. That being said, S models are now available with Rear Active Steering (RAS) and a ton of other handling enhancing features. Iridium Blue and Graphite Shadow are the newly available body colors for all the FX models.
From here on the details about the models are kind of mushy but here goes nothing: The GT range comes with two V6 engines – one is a 3.0 liter diesel (FX30d GT) that develops 235bhp and the impressive 550Nm of torque. 31.4 mpg on the combined cycle make that one the choice for eco-minded customers. The second one is a 3.7 liter petrol unit (FX37 GT) that brings 316bhp to the wheels. Whichever FX GT you might choose, they will both have the complete luxury package.
The S range features those aforementioned as well with the addition of an FX50 S model which carries a V8 385bhp 5.0-litre. While every other choice, be that GT or S, can be further enhanced by a “Premium” package, the FX50 S comes strictly as a Premium. Overall, one can easily tell the difference between GT and S models – The driver oriented S have bigger rims, Rear Active Steering (except the FX37), and Continuous Damping Control. Smoked headlights, red S badging and dark chrome exterior air vent and sill strip just to name a few more S signs.
To wrap it up, we are going to end with something that all FX models share – an intelligent torque-sensing AWD system. It gets its power from the 7-speed adaptive shift automatic transmission and magnesium paddle shifters on the wheel make changing gear a charm. Get yourself a Premium version on whichever FX and there’s going to be a 30GB HDD navigation and Bose® Premium Sound System as standard.

The AHG Sports tuner of Infiniti Centre in Hamburg has installed some modifications to the FX. They managed to create a spectacular appearance for the crossover, which was just impressive. Although FX is not a direct competitor to the big SUVs like BMW X5 and Porsche Cayenne, it is very close to them, because of the mighty engines and superb luxury.
However, the tuned FX 30dS by AHG Sports is even better. The crossover stands on enormous three-piece wheels from CC line of Schmidt Revolution from Bad Segeberg. The dimensions are 11J x 21” fitted with 295/40 ZR21 tires. The set is priced at 7900 EURO.
The suspension is upgraded by installing a new lowering spring kit, which removes 25mm from ride’s height. The set is priced at 1495 Euro.
Last, but not least, the diesel engine is boosted to the hefty 280HP (instead of the factory’s 238HP) and 600Nm of torque. The ECU re-map is priced at 1250 Euro.
