Nissan Debuts Friend-Me based Lannia [VIDEO]

Nissan Lannia Front and Side View Auto Shanghai will be welcoming two new production Nissan models: the Lannia and Murano Hybrid. The visitors will also see the GT-R Nismo and 370Z Nismo. Lannia was teased several times already, but today is the day of the big reveal. With it the model is showcasing its fresh persona and youthful character. This car is actually Nissan’s first product that was specifically developed for the young Chinese customers.

If the exterior of the Lannia looks somewhat familiar to you, this is because it is actually an evolution of the Friend-ME concept which we have seen debuting in China last year. The design of the car was inspired by the smooth, but at the same time muscular movements of wild animals, which makes it have unique personality and dynamic characteristics.

As we can see, the new production car in Nissan’s line-up has retained its predecessor’s geometric lines and edgy surface. We also witness the V-motion grille, kick-up C-pillar, floating roof and boomerang-shaped LED lights.

Is there something different throughout the interior? Well, the cockpit still focuses on the driver and keeps the great comfort values. Of course connectivity was a key focus in the design, since the Lannia must attract people in their 20s and 30s. In other words, the car is equipped with infotainment technologies such as advanced audio system with smart-phone connectivity and a 7-inch multimedia display screen.

Other important features in the Lannia are regarding the safety. The car has been equipped with Nissan’s new Safety Shield technologies and in addition it was engineered to achieve competitive levels of fuel efficiency. Unfortunately, the model will be distributed in China only.

Nissan Teases New Sedan Concept With First Image

Auto China 2014 will begin on 20th of April in Beijing, where Nissan will make a debut of a new sedan concept. At the show, the visitors will also see the BladeGlider concept, making its Chinese debut, a special Teana model, celebrating its 10th anniversary in China, and many innovations, including the Autonomous Drive car. In addition, the all-new X-Trail and the new NV200 Xtronic transmission, are also expected to be presented at the show.

Last week Nissan only announced that it is going to make the world premiere of the new sedan concept vehicle. Now the brand is releasing the first teaser image of the brand new model and we are expecting more news to come in the forthcoming days ahead of the show. At Auto Shanghai 2013, the brand revealed Friend-ME concept, and from what we can see from the teaser, we can surely tell that the new sedan concept will be its evolution.

Friend-ME has provocative design and connectivity features. What was striking in it’s the vehicle’s interior design was the one-off centre console that stretched from the dash to between the rear seats. The new sedan concept was specifically created for the Chinese digital lifestyle and it comes to express Nissan’s passion and focus in the world’s most dynamic auto market.

Another debut in China will make the BladeGlider concept and if you have seen it, you can undoubtedly tell it is unique. It has one-of-a-kind center seat driver position, it is highly aerodynamic, and delivers road-hugging agility and hyper-efficiency.

Teana 10th Anniversary Special Edition model will commemorate the 10th birthday of the model being present at the Chinese market. On the other hand the X-Trail will also be shown, and will be equipped with wide range of convenient features such as large console box for gear and flexible seating, spinal support seats, Active Trace Control and 4x4i drive system, with Hill Start Assist, Advance Hill Descent Control and Yaw Moment Control.

Nissan To Reveal New Sedan Concept At Auto China

Next month, at the 13th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2014) Nissan is going to make a world premiere of the New Sedan Concept (yes, that’s the name), which will be infused with brand’s new global design strategy.

Also featured at the event will be the BladeGlider concept that will also make a debut, but this time only for China, the Autonomous Drive car, Nissan Teana flagship sedan, the new X-Trail as well as the new NV200 Xtronic transmission.

Last year at Auto Shanghai 2013 we saw the debut of the Friend-ME concept, which exuded provocative design and was equipped with many connectivity features. What was striking in its interior design was the unique centre console that stretched from the dash to between the rear seats.

This year at Auto China 2014, Nissan has prepared the New Sedan Concept specifically for the Chinese digital lifestyle. In fact, after the Friend-ME, this concept vehicle will be the second time for Nissan Design China (NDC), to create a concept car design in collaboration with the Nissan Global Design Center (NGDC).

Unfortunately neither information nor a teaser image of the New Sedan Concept was released. So we have to wonder whether the car will be a successor of the Friend-ME concept or not. All will be revealed on 23d of April.

Nissan Friend-ME Concept With Official Première

Nissan Friend-ME Concept finally made its official premiere in Shanghai offering a distinctive and very different outlook. Thanks to its assertive and imposing exterior and flowing sculpted lines, this Nissan concept vehicle delivers on-road solidity and edgy muscularity.

Nissan Friend-ME Concept has a design based on an existing Nissan sedan architecture. It includes the ecologically efficient PureDrive hybrid powertrain.

The exterior design of the Friend-ME addresses a fine balance and refined essence. The result adds an entirely new and youthful dimension to the sedan category. Furthermore, the concept offers low and wide stance with short front and rear overhangs. This eventually gives the car aggressive and sporty impression.

The design’s energy flows from the V-motion shaped grille. The same energy continues streaming through the bonnet and shoulder lines while the headlamps and rear combination lamps are further highlighted by the unique boomerang-shaped lighting signature.

The profile of the Friend-Me accentuates the thin and light floating roof. In addition, the Neon Grey exterior colour was especially created to appeal to tech-savvy tastes and puts more emphasis on the lines of the car.

Inside the coupe, the front and back seats are separated with high-tech style. Everyone that is inside the car can access the same information as the driver: speed, navigation, fuel remaining.

The unique centre console stretches from the dash to between the rear seats – an iconic monolith in an onyx-black finish.

Second Teaser Of Nissan Friend-ME Concept Revealed

After the first teaser that has been revealed of Nissan Friend-Me Concept a week ago, Nissan teases the public again with the reveal of another image of the new upcoming car, which is set to excite 2013 Auto Shanghai 2013. This time we are being introduced to the rear and side of the car that exude flowing lines and aerodynamic construction.

The new concept will include unique center console that allows “Four Seats, One Mind Connectivity”. This means that the information in the vehicle will be equally distributed among all aboard. As a matter of fact, Friend-ME targets the young customers in China.

In addition, Nissan will also showcase in Shanghai the Nissan GT-R, Quest, Murano and Teana. Furthermore at the exhibit, the bran will mark its first use of new global space design for motor shows. There the guests will be entirely immersed into Nissan’s world, appealing throughout with sight, sound, touch and even smell, with a new green tea-inspired “Nissan fragrance.”

Nissan Teases Friend-ME Concept Ahead Of Shanghai

Five days ago it has been announced that Nissan is going to make a world premiere of its brand new concept vehicle at the 2013 Shanghai Autoshow. Ahead of the event, which will happen on 20 April, the car, named Friend-Me Concept, has been teased.

It has also been revealed that the model will include one-of-a-kind center console that allows “Four Seats, One Mind Connectivity”, which allows the information to be shared among all aboard.

With the help of the teaser image released, we can conclude that the new model will include LED-headlights, will exude sportiness through its aggressive front fascia, and will probably have liquid lines which will contribute towards it aerodynamism.
