  • Is this the Future 2017 Ferrari FF Facelift?

2017 Ferrari FF Facelift TeaserIt seems that this teaser image you see above is 2017 Ferrari FF Facelift. There are no official details announced yet, just an information and picture rolling in the web space. It also seems that this is the “new” (more likely renewed) supercar, which the company is going to debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este this month. Again, nothing has been confirmed yet, but everything hints towards a new FF facelift.

From the teaser we can tell that the mysterious car has headlights, which aren’t typical for any other model in the range of cars that Ferrari is producing. They are a little bit more squared than usual and look to be smaller.

We are definitely going to see a substantially changed FF, which will features updates all over its exterior, more technologies inside and probably enhanced aerodynamic pack. The reason for the facelift is probably Ferrari’s whish to align the model with company’s current design philosophy. But what happens next is about to be revealed.

Nothing has been disclosed in terms of technical changes. But we will be satisfied with the old good V12 under the hood, producing 660 horsepower. Rumors are saying that the 6.3 liter engine is going to be updated too, and will deliver up to 690-700 horsepower. How much more could one want!?

This power will be driving all-four wheels through an eight-speed dual clutch transmission… or it is just our suggestion. There are less than two weeks till the premiering event to uncover the truth, so stay tuned!

  • 2013 Ferrari FF with Panoramic Roof

Ferrari has announced the new 2013 FF at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The sports car comes with a full-length panoramic roof giving unique style. The Italian automaker did not reveal the price tag for this option, but it won’t be cheap, at all.

  • Alonso and Massa’s Ferrari Way of Skiing

The F1 championship is a demanding, treacherous challenge. For mere preparation, drivers spend weeks in training by submitting themselves to stress which comes in both forms – physical and psychological. So when it comes to blowing off some steam with recreation, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa decide to add more stress. The slaloms at the Madonna di Campiglio resort are used to having champions skiing over them but yesterday something was different. There were two Ferrari FF”s lined at the track’s starting point with Alonso and Massa behind the wheels. What followed was a heated, downhill parallel race between  two of the world’s best F1 drivers which ended up in a tie.

So why the, four door FF’? Well, on paper the FF is pretty much ideal for the job: it has a 4WD traction system that sends carefully calculated amounts of torque to each wheel independently and its weight balance is good thanks to the front-mid engine layout and the transmission at the back. Besides, were the cars anything other than Ferraris it would have been a bit embarrassing.

Alonso could not hide his enthusiasm: “It’s incredible how easy it is to drive the FF even on a such a demanding surface and at the same time, how high a performance level you can reach in it.” Massa was of a similar opinion: “the most incredible thing about the car is the fact there is no need to compromise maximum performance and useability, whatever the driving environment,” reckoned the Brazilian. “And on top of that, it’s perfect for everyday use with the whole family in the car.”

The new aerodynamics kit includes new front and rear bumpers, side scoops, rear diffuser, trunk spoiler and a rear wing. Furthermore, the car will benefit from a huge weight saving of 70 kg (154 lbs), because all parts are made from carbon fiber.

The performance package for the brutal 6.3 liter V12 consists of  twin superchargers, a stainless-steel sport exhaust with 90 mm tailpipes, a new intake manifold, larger fuel-injectors, high-flow air filters and a large intercooler. As you may suggest, the power increasing is significant – a whopping 222 PS (160 kW) and 179 Nm (132 lb-ft) over the series edition. The total number are 888PS (653 kW) and 862Nm (636 lb-ft) of torque. 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, to 200 km/h in 9.1 seconds and top speed is 340 km/h (211 mph).

  • Ferrari FF at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Ferrari FF was exhibited at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed alongside the front engined V8 California and the mid-rear mounted 458 Italia.

As you well know, FF is the first All-wheel-drive model from the manufacturer. The brutall power from the mighty 6.3 liter naturally aspirated V12 is transferred to the wheels, through 4RM system, which distributes 47% of torque to the front wheels and 53% to the rear wheels. As we speaking for torque – 683Nm (504 lb-ft) at 6000RPM.

The maximum power comes at 8000RPM – 660PS, which means catapulting to 100 km/h for 3.7 seconds and top speed of “just” 335 km/h (208 mph). The curb weight of the car is 1790kg and the fuel consumption – 15.4 liters per 100 km, combined cycle.

The other Ferrari, which is at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed is the beautiful 458 Italia. It is just staggering with its presence as well as the power from the 4.5 liter naturally aspirated V8. 570PS are enough to launch the car into the space – 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and top speed of 327 km/h (203 mph). The curb weight is 1380 kg, so the 458 won’t be fast only in straight line, but at the race track, too. Actually, it is as fast as an Enzo.

Finally, Ferrari brought the new California, which boasts a direct-injected 4.3 liter V8 with just 460PS. However, it offers the latest F1-Trac traction control system, multi-link rear suspension, and, of course, an innovative retractable folding hardtop that opens or closes in only 14 seconds.

  • A 7-year “Ferrari Geniune Maintenance” Programme

Ferrari is taking a huge risk with their special 7-year Genuine Maintenance programme. It covers all the scheduled maintenance for the first seven years, regardless of vehicle mileage. The programme offers services for all new Ferrari California, 458 Italia and FF models.

Furthermore, the Ferrari Genuine Maintenance programme is transferable to a new client in the event of a change of vehicle ownership. It is designed to anticipate one annual service each year during the 7 years, but because of the no mileage restriction, clients who reach the service intervals by mileage, will be able to have their car serviced more than once per year. The service intervals are every 20 000km (12 500miles).

The Ferrari Genuine Maintenance programme will be supplied as standard with all Ferrari California, 458 Italia and FF models delivered from 15 March 2011 and is only available through the official Ferrari service centre network. The programme ensures:

    • cars are maintained in accordance with Ferrari’s recommended schedule
    • safety and environmental standards are maintained thoughout the period
    • enhanced residual values for the original and subsequent owners

Such kind of service is unique and Ferrari will probably attract more clients of luxury supercars than their competitors.

Ferrari has exclusively prepared two examples of its all-new, mind-blowing creation, the Ferrari FF at the top of Plan De Corones in the Dolomites at 2,350 meters height, where the newly-premiered four-seater with four-wheel drive will be tested by the press for first time.

The two V12 Ferrari rides will be driven at a special ice and snow track located at the start of the vast ski area, trying to demonstrate in full its four-wheel drive possibilities under fierce conditions.

In the video bellow, Ferrari is showing us how the cars have been taken to this area, which can only be reached by the ski-lifts. The two Ferrari FF rides have been transported with a CH-47 Chinook transport helicopter from Viterbo’s 1st Regiment Antares backed by three Agusta 205 helicopters from the 4th Regiment Altair from the Italian air force in Bolzano.

In this highly anticipated test event, more than 200 journalists from the world’s famous publications will take a part, trying to give us their most accurate opinion on how the ride is handling on the track and what kind of experience to expect from it.
