  • Contrast is Everywhere. Including Vorsteiner BMW M3 E92

Vorsteiner BMW M3 E92 Front ViewVorsteiner decided to make some magic to the BMW M3 E92 model. The particular car they have worked with comes in the classic Alpine White exterior color, so they had the opportunity to create a stunning contrast with a few additional details and parts. And it seems that although each of these elements individually stands out, when brought together they create a result that is just right as if it was always meant to be.

    Vorsteiner Body Kit

‘Contrast’ could be a synonym to Vorsteiner’s body kit for the white M3. The opposite colors contribute for even more aggressive look of the vehicle. Precisely, it comprises of an in-house made boot lid as well as GTS7 front bumper and GTS-V rear diffuser. In this way, the sporty appearance is ensured as is the better aerodynamics.

Vorsteiner BMW M3 E92 Front and Side View

Vorsteiner is also famous for its one-off design for the wheels it produces. Of course, they also come in black (Mystic Black to be more precise) and measure 19×9.5 and 19×10.5 inches. Under the name VFF-103, they play their role wrapped in 275/30/19 and 295/30/19 tires. It seems that opposites really do attract.

    Power and Torque

Unfortunately, as much as we like this E92, Vorsteiner did not enhance the power of the mighty V8 under its hood. But if you take a deep thought then you would definitely wonder why is the uprating necessary? It isn’t of course, because the high-revving 4.0 litre V8 engine produces 420 hp (309 kW) at 8300 rpm and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) at 3900 rpm! This helps the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Without the limiter, E92 M3 can easily go beyond the 300 km/h (186 mph).

  • Ultimate gift ideas for the gearhead in your life

Shopping for somebody else is always tricky. If they have a favorite hobby, that makes it easier, but getting up to speed with that hobby in time to find them something really appealing can be tough. Turning to hobby magazines is one option, but if you’re looking for something for a gearhead, why not check out some of these options?

It’s the little things that matter

If you’re on a limited budget or if you want to find a little something extra to complement a larger present, you might be surprised how many great low cost items there are that come in really handy when driving. From suction cup smartphone holders that keep the map in view to USB mini-coolers for water and fruit, there’s something that will appeal to everyone. If you’re buying for someone who goes driving in remote areas, you might want to pick up a hand-cranked emergency radio, and if your loved one likes to keep a classic car in pristine condition, a soft clay cleaner is the professional secret that can make all the difference. Driving gloves are the perfect gift for the distinguished driver, and if you’re really strapped for cash, you can always offer to clean the car.

    Splashing out for something special

If you’re ready to spend a little more, it’s worth remembering that every car enthusiast should have a good toolkit. In this case it’s best to check what’s already owned, but tools do need to be replaced from time to time and well-engineered ones are always appreciated. A solar charger means a driver will never be stranded for long due to a flat battery (except perhaps in Alaska); Italian leather driving shoes create a really classy vintage look; and there are any number of attractive accessories available, such as Autodromo watches, inspired by classic dashboard designs. For a real treat, why not arrange a day at the track racing classic cars?

    Spectacular surprises

For those with big money to spend, the choice is even wider. One of the most exciting areas to look at is off-road vehicles, where engineering technology has created more and more exciting options. Imagine how the car enthusiast in your life would feel receiving a snowmobile! They’re enormous fun to use and make it possible to conquer landscapes that would be inaccessible otherwise. They’re also fun to tinker around with, and Pat’s snowmobile parts make it easy to acquire the necessary bits and pieces. A gift like this will please the adventurer and the inner geek.

There’s such a variety of driving related gifts out there that there’s really no need to struggle to find something suitable. If all else fails, consider automobile themed items for use in other areas of life, from pet beds to classic car tankards, posters and DVDs. Choosing a gift like this will make it clear that even if you don’t share that passion, you appreciate what it means to the recipient.

  • BMW Driving Experience in Sweden

BMW has a great tradition teaching owners of ///M-powered cars how to use them correctly even in severe conditions such as ice, rain, snow, etc. The Driving Experience program has recently visited Arjeplog, Sweden, which is no less than 60 km south of the polar circle.

The test aimed to teach the drivers and owners of ///M cars, what to do on ice and snow, when sitting behind the steering wheel ofBMW M3 and particularly the E92 model.

    BMW E92 M3 is simply brutal car, which hardly can be compared with anything else. It is powered by a magnificent high-revving S65B40 – 4.0 litre V8 delivering 420PS (309 kW) at 8300RPM and 400Nm (295 lb-ft) at 3900RPM. 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) – electronically limited. Without the limiter, E92 M3 can easily pass 300 km/h (186 mph).

Of course, the tested models were fitted with spiked tyres to maintain a little traction.

“The fastest option on asphalt is to make a clean streak, while drifting is the answer on slippery surfaces. The front of the car points towards the inside of the bend, so that the propulsive power of the centrifugal force counteracts this a little and actually permits a faster speed than stable driving”, said the legendary rally champion Walter Röhrl.

The tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in the dimension 255/30 ZR 20 on the front axle and 295/25 ZR 20 for the rear axle to keep the vehicle in contact with the road. Braking is done with the G-POWER-ceramic brakes on the front and rear axle, which provide low-weight and reliable high-performance braking. „Fade“ is therefore a foreign word for the 6-piston brake calipers in front which bite on 396 mm rotors and the 4-piston calipers at the rear axle which clamp on 380 mm rotors.
