  • Renault Duster Oroch Pick-Up Revealed! To Debut with Sandero R.S. 2.0

Renault Duster Oroch Pick-Up Side ViewRenault Duster Oroch Pick-Up has been finally revealed after an intensive teaser campaign. The mid-sized pick-up looks very good and what is even more exciting is that it won’t debut alone at the 7th Buenos Aires International Motor Show. Next to it, Renault will showcase the latest Renault Sander R.S. 2.0. The event will happen between June 19 and 28.

    Renault Duster Oroch Pick-Up

The pick-up is actually the first vehicle produced by Renault which enters the competitive pickup segment. It is based on the Oroch concept revealed last year as well as on Duster’s design. The medium-sized pickup pushes back traditional boundaries thus creating the new segment in LCVs.

The vehicle has been built on a simple and successful formula. A perfect instance for this is the Duster family, which has been renouned worldwide. The most important benefit of the Oroch is that it combines the characteristics of a true double-cab pick-up with the space, performance and comfort of a compact and sporty SUV.

Renault Duster Oroch is positioned between the half- ton and one-ton pick-ups. It features four doors and space for five people. It is more compact and nimble, and also has abundant loading space.

Renault Duster Oroch Pick-Up will be launched in the second half of this year.

    Renault Sandero R.S. 2.0

Renault Sandero R.S. 2.0 Side and Front VIew

Next to the Renault Duster Oroch Pick-Up, the Renault Sandero R.S. 2.0 will be also making a premiere in Latin America. It was designed and developed by Renault Sport exclusively for the continent. It is actually the first RS model which is built outside Europe.

Sandero R.S. 2.0 offers space for five persons and is fitted with five doors. Being a true hot hatch it produces 145 hp (107 kW) through an engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Other goodies include ESC with sports tuning, new suspension settings, steering and brake system with four discs.

2015 Renault Sandero R.S. will be introduced to the market in Argentina early next year.

  • Renault Duster Pickup to be Revealed June 18

Renault's Duster Based Pickup Teaser Front ViewRenault Duster Pickup is going to be the first ever pickup in company’s range. As the name suggests it will be based on the popular Duster model, but unfortunately it will be distributed in South America only. The French company is going to reveal it in a special press conference at this year’s Buenos Aires Motorshow. This will happen on June 18 and can be also viewed on the Renault media.

As Renault says, the vehicle is a “Sport Utility Pickup”. It will inherit all qualities which are responsible for the success of the Duster. Of course, there will be many changes. First of all, the car will include generous bed, since it is a real double cab.

SEE ALSO: Renault Came Up With Details About 2016 Kadjar Crossover

Secondly, it will feature four doors and will offer seating for five persons. Renault expects that this pickup will mark a real breakthrough in this territory.

Pickup Based on Duster Oroch Concept

The pickup is actually based on the Renault (Dacia) Duster Oroch concept, which was unveiled last year at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil. The show vehicle was designed by Renault design center for Latin America (RDAL) situated in Sao Paulo.

Renault's Duster Based Pickup Teaser Rear View

The Oroch features all the necessary qualities of a true SUV, but it is actually a five-seat pickup truck with assertive styling, inspired by the world of kite-surfing. It’s sporty exterior is conveyed by the satin-finish white color and is additionally highlighted by the visible orange contours.

Other cool features here include panoramic glass sunroof that creates the experience of a more spacious cabin, skid plates, two rear-mounted cameras with full outdoor coverage, 18-inch alloy wheels with 255/60 tyres and broad side protective outline.

The interior of the Oroch concept is characterized by a dash with a multimedia screen that shows in real time the images taken by the two cameras of the vehicle which are operated by a rotary control on the center console. Of course, we do not expect to see all that in the production variant of the Duster pickup.

But the real question is will Renault bring this pickup in the rest of the world? Unfortunately this has a very low probability of happening. However, the company has promised to bring full-size pick-up in Europe, which will accompany the next generation of Nissan Navara and Mercedes-Benz’ pickup.

  • Dacia Lauréate Prime Special Editions are Here

Dacia Laureate Prime Sandero, Duster and Logan ModelsDacia is not an extremely popular brand but we must admit that it is trying to bring more and more attention to its products. After we have seen the anniversary vehicles last month (the reason for the release was the 10th birthday of Logan), now it is time for another limited edition line-up, comprising only of three models: the Sandero, Logan MCV and Duster. The specification is called Lauréate Prime and stands at the top of the line-up.

The first special and immediately noticeable thing about those cars is the exclusive metallic blue color scheme, dubbed Cosmos Blue. It actually pays tribute to the traditional livery. The same color is to be found inside on the inserts of the front and rear seats, the details of the floor mats and the seat belts.

In contrast to this hue is the metal grey door mirror shells and the dark alloys. In addition, any Lauréate version is equipped with convenience features (from the Comfort Pack) like the front central armrest and the leather steering wheel, the electric rear windows and the MediaNav Evolution multimedia system.

Sandero and Logan MCV of this specification will be driven by either the 0.9-litre TCe 90 or the 1.5-litre dCi 90 engines. On the other hand, the Duster Lauréate Prime will get more powerful unit, namely the 1.5-litre dCi 110. It will be offered in two- or four-wheel-drive variant.

Yes, we know it is not a Ferrari or a fancy BMW, but still this Romanian car has the potential to become significant in the automotive industry. Why not?
