  • Take a look at this outrageous Dodge Ram Black & Red [VIDEO]

2014 Avorza Dodge Ram 3500 Black & Red Edition by Alex Vega We have seen this vehicle circulating in the internet for a while, but it has been trading lately so we decided to show it to you once more. And it is definitely worth it because we have rarely seen projects like this and with so beautifully shot video which you can enjoy below (I am sure it will be a big pleasure).

As you can see this is a Dodge Ram 3500 and it has been dubbed Black & Red Edition. It is a product created by Alex Vega – The Auto Firm. This powerfully customized pick up seems to be carrying a bunch of additional styling enhancements that also hint towards boost in performance.

Unfortunately, the Ram comes with styling modifications only, meaning that it retains the power of its standard 6.7 liter inline-six Cummins diesel engine. In details, it produces 350 horsepower (260 kW) and 880 Nm (650 lb-ft), which is also impressive. This output is transferred onto the road via a six speed automatic that drives the all four wheels.

Although there is no information on the styling tweaks we can clearly see that the pick-up truck sports black metallic paint finish that has been accentuated by a lot red accents. Take a look for example at the red Ram badge at both ends, the band in the same color circulating around the massive two-tone wheels and the side signs.

It is also visible that the head lights received red highlights while the taillights have been blackened out. Low profile Pirellis are a must as is the fully-adjustable air suspension. We don’t know whether the interior of this vehicle has been changed or not, so we leave this part of the tuning at the depths of your imagination. Any suggestions?

  • Odd Style but Big Charisma: Meet the 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel

As a true rebel, the 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel brings a one-of-a-kind off-road design to the full-size truck segment. Just take a look at its muscular and aggressive stance, emphasized through its blacked-out grille and the huge billet silver “RAM” letter badge. The grille tops a completely new black off-road front bumper with a new design that incorporates a powder coated, billet silver skid plate, front tow hooks and LED fog lamps. Beneath the aluminum, twin-snorkel sport hood is positioned the black bezel bi-functional projector headlamps with LED marker lights.

The sides are as rebellious and include the same blacked-out design theme. There we can also see black Power Wagon wheel-arch moldings, flat-black badge, mirrors and lower body panels. We can’t skip the 17-inch aluminum wheel with matte black painted accent pockets and multi-angled surfaces.

At the back, we see “RAM” stamped tailgate with blacked-out lettering as well as “Rebel” and “4X4” badges. The new rear bumper is also treated with durable black powder coating, while the tail lamps incorporate black bezels to match forward lighting.

The vehicle will be offered in a choice of five colors: Granite Crystal Metallic, Bright Silver Metallic, Flame Red, Bright White and Brilliant Black. There are also monotone and two-tone paint options.

The interior of the rebel is adorned by technical grain vinyl seats finished in Radar Red and Black. They also feature Sedoso fabric inserts embossed with the Toyo tire tread pattern. The black design scheme is continued through the instrument panel, door armrests and logo-embossed center console armrest cover, which are topped with two-tone Radar Red and Light Gray accent stitching.

In contrast the Radar Red color is used for the anodized vent rings, door accent rings, door trim spears and center console trim ring. The heated steering wheel is wrapped with semi-perforated black leather, accentuated by Radar Red X-stitches.

The engine range should be as rebellious as the vehicle. And it is! It includes the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 unit and 5.7-liter HEMI one in either 4X2 (HEMI only) or 4X4 configurations. There is a RamBox which is optional.

Precisely, the 3.6-liter engine produces 305 horsepower (224 kW) and 365 Nm (269 lb-ft) of torque. Despite its might it offers best-in-class gasoline fuel economy of 25 (mpg). On the other hand, the iconic 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 generates 395 horsepower (537 kW) and 555 Nm (410 lb-ft) of torque.

The TorqueFlite 8 automatic transmission is standard equipment for both units. In addition, they are available with a rear anti-spin differential, which turns both rear wheels in tandem when increased torque is applied.

2015 Ram 1500 Rebel goes on sale in the second half of this year.

Ram Truck has good news for its environmentally minded customers. It will add new and more fuel-efficient model to its half-ton truck lineup – the 2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel HFE. The truck already got an EPA-certified 29 mpg highway fuel economy rating, while the city and combined mpgs are 21 and 24, respectively.

Furthermore, the “fuel economy king” is also equipped with one-of-a-kind trim package. It also features 6-ft. 4-in. bed as well as huge 20-inch wheels. The truck will be also available with a body-colored fascia adopted from the Ram Express model, thus giving it sporty exterior appearance.

  • GeigerCars Dodge Ram 1500

    Dodge-RAM-1500-tDodge-RAM-1500-651
Dodge RAM 1500 is now presented to us with breathtaking variation. In my opinion it’s probably the best looking full-size pick up truck on the road. It was named a “Motor trend truck of the year 2014”, the only vehicle to win that award in back-to-back years.

This award winning, half ton pickup truck is equipped with the new 3.0 liter V6 Common Rail turbo diesel engine, with the maximum performance of 241 hp (179 kW). With a maximum torque peak of 569 Nm (419 lb-ft). Highly manageable consumption rate of just 7.5 liters(100 km), ( 38 mpg UK or 31.3 mpg US), along with a brand new automatic 8-gearbox, pneumatic suspension and huge trailer load of a maximum of 3,500 kg Dodge RAM 1500 4×4 Crew Cab Ram Box 3.0l V6 EcoDiesel, makes us happy and mostly surprised to witness its overwhelming leadership over the Nissan Navara which has a slightly different gearbox of just 7 levels.

What I really like about that Dodge Ram is how wide the doors open with a great entryway. As far as for legroom, there is plenty of space in the backseat position with enough space for your knees, providing enough room to feel as comfortable as you can. The headroom is great, and even better with a indent at the top of the roof line which provides extra room for the taller ones.

The leather interior is what I like as well, with its brown on tan color scheme. A folding armrest placed at the middle of the backseat to which you can lean on, along with a pair of cup holders. There are also two cup holders on the floorboard. An 8.4 inch touchscreen display has all the navigation controls you can access and work on making your driving a lot easier.

The rear view camera position is right next to the handle of the tailgate which allows you to see how close you are to the trailer hitch, assuming you want to attach a trailer or a boat. A few other safety items, like parking sensors positioned all along the rear bumper, along with duo exhaust tips. The Dodge Ram 1500 behaves extremely well and handles itself good in deep snow and rough terrain.

  • 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 EcoDiesel Records Best Fuel Economy Rating

2014-Dodge-Ram-1500-EcoDiesel-THUMBThe best ever highway-cycle test result ever achieved by a full-size half-ton pickup has been recorded, and the vehicle to do this is the 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 EcoDiesel. Precisely, the car was rated at 28-mpg by the EPA, and this rating also exceeds the EPA highway rating for the top-ranked small pickup.

Next to its superior fuel economy this Dodge model also offers torque of 420 lb.-ft. (569 Nm). This rating is possible due to the engine’s block and bedplate which are made from lightweight Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI). Adding to this is the innovative MultiJet 2 common-rail fuel-injection system, which reduces noise and enhances low-speed throttle response.

The EcoDiesel Ram is fitted with 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 unit which includes Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), high-pressure cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), variable swirl intake ports and a variable-geometry turbocharger. The efficient powetrain is coupled with a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission, which also improves the fuel efficiency.

Furthermore, the gearbox also has thermal-management system. The latter warms transmission oil to reduce pumping losses associated with cold, low-viscosity fluid. What is more, the scored efficiency results were made reality due to the active grille shutters that maximize air flow in order to improve aerodynamics; the Electric Power Steering (EPS) that relieves the engine from constantly turning a hydraulic pump; and the lightweight aluminum components.

2014 Dodge Ram 1500 EcoDiesel has a starting price of $24,200 USD and will go on sale on 7th of February.

  • Chrysler To Develop Human Biology-Inspired CNG Vehicles

2014-Dodge-RAM-THUMBA technology based on the human biology will breathe new life into Chrysler’s CNG commitment, was just announced. The human body will serve as an inspiration for the brand to design the next generation of fuel tanks powering compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles.

To be more precise, Chrysler will take as an example the human lungs, which comprise of countless individual sacks called alveoli. Their function is to expand the lung’s total air capacity. The brand will utilize the same approach in order to improve the packaging of CNG tanks.

The work of Chrysler Group will be supported in part by a $50,000 grant from the Michigan Economic Development Council’s Technology Innovation Challenge which helps companies accelerate advanced-technology initiatives.

First, CNG-powered vehicles require larger fuel tanks to deliver range that is comparable to that of gas- or diesel-powered vehicles. Secondly, the current design of CNG tank is also limited to cylindrical shape in order to accommodate the pressure at which the gaseous fuel is stored.

Brand’s patent-pending technology addresses both issues via the expansion of the tank’s capacity and enabling designs that conform to the vehicle. Of course the result will benefit from more space for passengers and cargo.

On the market Chrysler has launched the Dodge Ram 2500 Compressed Natural Gas truck, which is industry’s only factory-built CNG-powered pickup. The vehicle is equipped with a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine that burns CNG.

When that fuel is depleted, it automatically and seamlessly switches to gasoline. To go even further into details, the truck can travel on a single fill-up up to 255 miles, and a total of 745 miles when equipped with an available 35-gallon reserve gas tank.
