The vehicles on display include two Mopar equipped Jeep Renegades, as well as a Dodge Challenger T/A Concept vehicle.

“The company exhibit at the North American International Auto Show will highlight vehicles from all FCA brands, including three modified rides that illustrate how Mopar can assist customers in bringing to life their own personal vision of an FCA vehicle,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar. “Customers can pull from our portfolio of Mopar products to augment the versatility and capability of the all-new Jeep Renegade, as shown with two Mopar-equipped Renegade vehicles, or to beef up the muscle of the Dodge Challenger while adding a vintage feel, as demonstrated by the Dodge Challenge T/A Concept.”

One Jeep Renegade was equipped to be the ultimate off-road vehicle, both in capability and style. With Cammando Green skin, bold graphics on the body’s sides, and a dramatic X shape styling of the tail lamps which is inspired by first-generation military Jeep vehicles. A map of Detroit adorns the Hood decal.

The second Jeep Renegade has been styled with an urban aesthetic which utilizes Jeep accessories to create a fresh, enhanced styling with an energetic approach. This Renegade model is a perfectly styled vehicle for a city or suburban area dweller, and imparts a youthful edge on whoever is behind the drivers wheel. With 4×4 capability, this Renegade is the perfect vehicle for driving in any environment you choose to take it.

The Dodge Challenger T/A Concept debuted at the Las Vegas, Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in November of 2014. With an eye-catching, Sublime Green color and a styling that draws inspiration from the 1970’s Challenger, the concept car also manages to imbue modern ideas into the aesthetic. With matte black, full-length graphics adorbing each side of the body, the vehicle offers incredibly aggressive drama that is highlighted by 6.4-liter 392 HEMI engine.

Mopar has been producing exceptional performance parts since 1937, and the brand continues to provide ways for automobile enthusiasts to enhance their rides. Mopar annually distributes more than 500,000 parts and accessories across the world, and is the only source for genuine accessories and parts for FCA brands.

  • Mopar Shows-Off with Trio of Moparized Vehicles in Detroit

This year the visitors of North American International Auto Show will meet a trio of customized vehicles made by Mopar. The brand will display a pair of Mopar-equipped Jeep Renegade vehicles and a Dodge Challenger T/A Concept. The first Renegade unit is “off-road-equipped” and it is based on the Trailhawk model. On both sides, its Commando Green “skin” is accentuated by large, bold body-side graphics that mimic the “X”-shape styling of the taillamps. As a matter of fact, the “X” design of the graphics is associated with first-generation military Jeep vehicles.

The map of Detroit decorates the Mopar Topographical Hood decal to pay tribute to the Motor City. Next, the vehicle runs on satin black wheels with a single spoke trimmed in Colorado red. There are also tow hooks at the front and rear of the model which also receive the same treatment.

In contrast, the cross rails and a Mopar roof basket come in satin black and feature a gloss black body side rail. The small SUV handles off-road obstacles by a concept skid plate, prototype rock rails, rear valance and production roof rails. These elements are neatly tied together by a matching neutral grey satin color.

Inside, we meet a balanced premium interior which includes Katzkin leather seat covers, HVAC bezels, speaker grilles and the center console in Commando Green. The wheel, shifter and door lever receive satin black trim, with all bright interior badging finished in neutral grey.

The second Renegade unit is “urban-equipped” and it is based on the Limited model. It is painted in stylish Anvil color that is highlighted by Omaha orange touches. The latter color is to be found also on the pockets featured on the satin black wheels, mirror caps, grille rings, taillamp surrounds and roof rails.

Inside, the first thing to mention is the Katzkin leather seats. As with the off-road Renegade, modifications to the exterior influence the interior and this means that we see the Omaha orange on the HVAC bezels, speaker grilles and the center console.

The last Mopar model that is on display in Detroit is the Dodge Challenger T/A Concept – the car that debuted at the 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association in Las Vegas last November. This Dodge is a modern interpretation of the legendary T/A package that was available in the 1970s for the Challenger.

Basically, two colors have been used for this model: Sublime Green and black. In fact, the full-length matte black T/A graphics are flanking each side of the body and remind the viewer of the original T/A. The matte black look can also be seen on the rear deck-lid spoiler.

What is more, the functional “Viper”-inspired center scoop hood with Mopar gloss black hood pins has been adapted to accommodate a Mopar induction system. It helps the cool outside air to stream into the air box of the legendary 392 HEMI engine.

At the front of the car, we see a Mopar matte black front splitter, which works in unison with the matte black gurney-lip deck-lid spoiler. They both deliver additional downforce assist. Iconic heritage Challenger script T/A badges complement the front gloss black grille and rear deck-lid spoiler.

The car runs no wide 20-by-9.5-inch matte black lightweight forged aluminum wheels. Beneath them we see Brembo six-piston calipers with two-piece slotted and vented rotors. The rear and side exhaust tips include a black ceramic-coated finish.

Inside, the interior is race-inspired and includes design elements such as high-performance flat bottom steering wheel in perforated leather and gloss black bezels. There are also carbon fiber seats with T/A embroidered logos, while the rear roll-bar is designed for enhanced chassis rigidity.
