  • DMC Impress With Bentley Continental GT DURO China Edition

DMC-Bentley-GT-DURO-China-Edition-shadowDMC-Bentley-GT-DURO-China-Edition-mediumDMC have a weakness for British exotics, and their latest revelation seems to support that. It’s a Continental GT called the DURO on the streets of China. Hence, the China Edition tag as well.

To start off, there’s a really cool bumper at the front. It fits all models from 2012 on. With it the Continental is 2-inches longer than it would normally be. A closer inspection should reveal a pair of daylight running LEDs as well. Moving on to the side view, we find new side skirts that are actual winglets. They work for us visually, but are they any good in improving the aerodynamics. DMC seems to think so. The rear bumper is also new: more muscular, carbon fibery, it’s supposed to really leave an impression. The carbon fiber diffuser bellow adds even more downforce. Let’s not forge to mention the diamond-forged 22-inch rims all wrapped in 295/25R22 tires. Compared to the silvery paint of the China Edition, these wheels with their matte black finish look like black wholes ready to suck you in.

It’s not all show and no go though. Well, it never was (it’s a Continental GT for goodness sake), but GMC have added even more power. Because of the titanium exhaust system, the sport air filters and the optimized electronics, the DURU’s power output has been rated at 672 hp and 780 Nm of torque. DMC’s estimates on the 0 to 60 acceleration read 4.5 seconds. The new top speed: 202 mph. Ouch!

  • DMC Teases Lamborghini Aventador Veneno

DMC-Luxury-Edizione-GT-teaser-shadowDMC-Luxury-Edizione-GT-teaser-mediumSmooth move, DMC. On the same day search engines around the world are buzzing with the reveal of the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4, you release your own bull. Well, kind of, because whatever you’re doing is not ready yet. Still, you went for the teaser option.

Apparently, the piece shown above suggests a Veneno, and whatever it turns out to be, its going to be called the DMC Edizione GT. The German-based company takes pride in its work on Lambos simply because they are really good at it. Ludicrous things like the Aventador Molto Veloce and the Aventador LP900 SV (Spezial Version) serve as a testament to that.

The stakes are high for this one. After all, when a Veneno is involved, nothing is off limits.

DMC promise more revelations soon. Excited?

  • Showcasing The McLaren MP4-12C by DMC Luxury and PUR WHEELS

McLaren-MP4-12C-by-DMC-Luxury-and-PUR-WHEELS-shadowMcLaren-MP4-12C-by-DMC-Luxury-and-PUR-WHEELS-mediumRemember DMC’s McLaren Velocita SE? Here it is again with a brand new pair of trainers courtesy of another familiar name – PUR Wheels.

Besides a boost in power to 660 hp, The Velocita SE also boasts a fairly modified exterior. Take the flaring carbon fiber body kit for example. Supposedly, DMC set out to replace the allegedly grinning face of the stock MP4-12C with an “aggressive” bumper. Should we assume that it’s frowning now?

Whatever it’s doing, it looks different. There’s a carbon fiber grill in the center and a jutted lip splitter. Along with the carbon fiber winglets on the sides, those enhancement are said to improve traction on the front axle. At the back DMC must have felt there aren’t enough fins on the diffuser so they’ve added two more on their custom-made module. Ultimately, the exhaust was also scrapped for a titanium one that is supposed to complement acoustically the whole aggressive theme. No self-respecting body kit goes without a custom rear wing too so there’s that. Despite the apparent pattern of adding parts, the Velocita is actually lighter than a standard McLaren MP4-12C.

Then, there’s the cherry on top. They are actually four of them – PUR TEN alloys finished in Anthracite and measuring at 19 and 20 inches front and back respectively. I guess we were pleasantly surprised by the evident subtlety of that particular point (on the PUR-less Velocita the wheels measured at 21-inches front and back).

Does it all work out fine? Yeah, why not?

  • DMC Touch Up The Rolls-Royce Ghost Calling It The Imperatore

    DMC-Rolls-Royce-Ghost-Imperatore-shadowDMC-Rolls-Royce-Ghost-Imperatore-medium

The guys from DMC Luxury have laid their hands on a Rolls-Royce Ghost and have called it the Imperatore. Because of the British icon’s remarkable success on the market, DMC claim that it is now beginning to lose its distinctive character. So, there they are offering a helping hand to reclaim special feel again.

Imperatore is an appropriate name for a thing of luxury which the Ghost undoubtedly is. They started off with some glue-ons. Scratch that, it doesn’t sound too luxurious. Let’s just say that additional components complement the overall vista of the so-called baby Rolls. There’s a front lip spoiler, straight lined side skirts, a trunk spoiler, and a rear trim over an added diffuser. The key point here, however, is subtlety. Everything is color coded so only the keen eye can really see the difference. Maybe that’s why the pictures contain subscript.

A non-specified brand of 22-inch tires with Pirelli tires complement the whole makeover, while a high-performance exhaust system provides the right tone and amps the power a bit. An ECU tweak further enhances the V12’s punch. As a final summation, the Imperatore yields 70 hp and 80 Nm of torque more than it would usually do. That’s 632 hp and 860 Nm good for a 0 to 60 time of 4.5 seconds.

Inside, the interior is subject to change. There are Italian leathers available, rare materials like Sting Ray, and carbon fiber trims that can be applied whenever you want them.
