2019 Wheelsandmore Aston Martin DBS Superleggera - Front Angle

Although other tuning companies are providing tuning components for the sports cars from Aston Martin, Wheelsandmore from Germany is still the first address when it comes to the refinement of all Aston Martin models since 2004. With the conversion of the current top model, a DBS Superleggera, Wheelsandmore proves once again how a tuning can combine different styles, in the end sporty discreet, yet stylistically and technically decisively improved.

With 725hp engine power, the sleek Gran Tourer is without a doubt one of the most powerful 2 + 2 seaters on the planet. Responsible for this performance and 900Nm torque is the self-developed 5.2l bi-turbo V12 engine. Once the subject of forced breathing comes into play, the tuner’s heart beats faster and the software developers are happy to modify the corresponding parameters to increase performance, in order to be able to offer a steady increase in performance. With the control units of the new generation, it already requires appropriate know-how to be able to make modifications. Wheelsandmore offers both, an increase in performance in the course of classic chiptuning, as well as an easy-to-install plug-and-play solution with an additional control unit. In both cases, the torque increases by 130Nm and the power grows by 105 additional horsepower. The standard top speed remains unchanged even after the modification with 340 km/h. The tuning upgrade is offered for the price of 4.193 EURO each.

Since the DBS Superleggera is largely based on the DB11 and Wheelsandmore has launched a program with special rims for this model already in the year 2017, it was unproblematic for the noble tuner to develop appropriate rims for the super sports car. From the multi-part rim program, the model F.I.W.E. was specially developed for the DBS Superleggera for the first time sizing 22 inches. In order to meet the customer’s demand for the most discreet yet appealingly sporty look, the Aston Martin tuning expert customized the rims on the front axle in 10×22″ and measuring 12×22″ on the drive axle. The road contact is made by high performance Pirelli tires in 265/30/22 and 315/25/22 inches with the appropriate release up to the maximum speed limit.

From the tuner’s point of view, these measures are exactly those that make the DBS Superleggera an absolute supercar. As the rim parts are always made to customer specifications in color and surface, it can be assumed that each finished Aston Martin DBS Superleggera from Wheelsandmore will ultimately be an individual one-off item according to customer specifications. Rims can certainly be assembled by many wheel companies in the world. But such extreme sizes for the latest vehicles with German TUV approval are only available at Wheelsandmore!

  • Team 46 Drives an Aston Martin DBS that Glows in the Dark

Do you remember the Nissan which has these superpowers to glow in the dark? Well, if you do then you’ll know why this Aston Martin DBS have the same capabilities. For those who don’t, I must explain what has happened with both cars. First and foremost, they both can glow in the dark. This might sound very improbable, but actually it is actually due to the application of a very simple technology.

SEE ALSO: Nissan Invents LEAF EV that Glows in the Dark [VIDEO]

The paint used for covering the exterior both the Leaf EV and the DBS absorbs UV energy during the day so it can glow during the nighttime. This is a spray-applied coating or a foil-wrap, which absorbs the daylight and when the night falls, the absorbed energy can glow between eight and ten hours.

The creator of this innovative technology is Hamish Scott and has named it STARPATH. Both paint and foil are made of entirely organic materials. Scott actually used Strontium Aluminate to achieve the result. Another very interesting fact about this paint is that it could last for 25 years.

Now, Nevana Designs has applied this technology onto the DBS. The car is actually getting ready for the Gumball 3000 rally. The vehicle will be driven by Team 46 and in particular by David Morgan, who is proud owner as well. With this car he will definitely achieve his goal, namely his unique Aston Martin DBS to stand out among other cars.

  • SR Auto Enhances Aston Martin DBS

SR-Auto-Aston-Martin-DBS-THUMBSR Auto Aston Martin DBS is a true masterpiece showing off its sophisticated spirit and included enhancements. Being a true DBS behind the hood of this model hides a hand-built all alloy 6.0-litre V12 engine.

The latter generates 510 bhp (380 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft). This power gives the possibility for the model to have a top speed of 191 mph (307 km/h) and to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in only 4.3 seconds.

On the other hand, Aston Martin is a brand that screams for unprecedented luxury and class and an undeniable attention to quality. For this reason, the specialist at SR Auto decided to work on this project with the same level of quality and care.

They have equipped the British vehicle with PUR 9INE Wheels that include a two tone finish on their ninth application. They are in sizes 21×9 for the front and 21×10.5 for the back. In addition, they have also been paired with a set of H&R lowering springs that eliminate all the natural wheel gap.

  • DMC Fakhuna: Aston Martin DB-S boasting more style and performance

German Luxury Tuner DMC has launched a number of successfull Refinement Packages, including the recent Lamborghini Gallardo “Toro” and the Aventador “Molto Veloce”. While only some models make it through a number of harsch project phases before being invested and approved internally, some design never make it to the production stage. Introducing the DMC “Fakhuna”, a concept design for the Aston Martin DB-S.

Most significant change is an aggressive new front bumper fascia, which is equipped with larger air-intakes and a spoiler lip. Between the front and rear side, striking side skirt attachments render an integrated design and give the Aston a lowered and more stretched look. In order to reduce the lifting forces at the back axle, DMC engineers envisioned a shapely spoiler which can be fitted on the rear lid and enhanced with a matching three-part rear diffuser. The latter optically extends the side skirts downwards and skilfully enhances the two end pipes of the DMC sport exhaust system. Basically, carbon fiber and real actual gold are the dominant colours in this styling package.

One of the technical highlights in the tuning programme will be the new three-part DMC forged alloy wheel. The rim combines both sportiness as well as elegance. The concave rims and the titanium bolting emphasise the dynamism of the wheel, the highly-polished rim flange on the other hand renders a noble appearance. DMC offers the wheel/tyre combination measuring 9,0Jx21 inches with 245/30ZR21 tyres at the front and 10,5Jx21 rims with tyres measuring 295/25ZR21. The new aluminium wheels are accentuated with special chassis springs which lower the centre of gravity of the Aston by 30 mm at the front axle and by 20 mm at the rear axle. At the same time, this enhances the handling of this sports car.

As part of the performance upgrade, the Duesseldorf based engineers developed sport catalysers and sport end mufflers. The components made of titanium steel render an impressive sound setting and emphasise the sportive value of the DMC-makeover.

While the Fakhuna has not made it into the regular production lines, DMC gives the design, which was developed by Dutch artist Wildspeed, a chance to be realized as custom order.

  • Aston Martin Project AM310 [VIDEO]

Aston-Martin-Project-AM310-Concept-thumbIn it for some high-octane, gut-churning acoustics? Good. Here’s an Internet circulating clip of the supposed DBS successor – the Aston Martin Project AM310 Concept. It was filmed this weekend at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy. An official debut is set for August while sales will most probably start in early 2013. Aston are going to be celebrating one hundred years of engineering very soon and if that’s the party piece, count us in.

As stated, in terms of styling, the AM310 is rather reminiscent of the Aston Martin One-77 (Fun fact: the One-77 was also revealed at the Concorso back in 2009). The details are still a bit wishy-washy but the word out there is that a 6.0-liter V12, 570 and above horsepower engine will be at work. The interior was supposed to be a secret but sneaky photographers and even the operator here manage to “get the picture” – the rev-counter needle moves the wrong way but we don’t care. Oh, and then there’s the sound which, to us, doesn’t sound “insane” but pretty darn close.

Enough silly talk. Please, indulge yourselves:

  • Anderson Casino Royale Aston Martin DBS

Anderson-Aston-Martin-DBS-Casino-Royale-thumbHere’s a treat from Anderson (Düsseldorf, Germany). It’s called the Aston Martin Casino Royale DBS – an evident reference to the James Bond franchise. And it certainly looks exclusive enough to bare that image – shady, sleek and, inside, a bit over the top but don’t worry. That’s why the windows are tinted – it will be your dork secret.

Anderson are quick to announce that because of the ECU tweak, the new manifolds and exhaust system with sports catalysts, the power of the Casino DBS is up by 55 ps. So that’s 572 ps and 569 Nm of torque coming from the Aston’s epic sounding V12. However, for the guys at Düsseldorf, epic is not enough. That’s why there’s a remote controlled valve somewhere down the line so that there are three sound levels. Also, the complete mass of the exhaust system is around 21 kg less than the standard one. Has it been made with tinfoil?

As for the body, we can clearly see that predominant matte gray color. Anderson claim however, that there are two shades of it – various components such as the window borders, tailgates block and radiator case are more “shiny gray”. Right…. As additional components there’s a front lip spoiler and a rear diffuser. All the while, 21-inch Anderson wheels complement the whole look while 255 tires at the front and 295 at the back give the necessary grip.

The brake calipers and some external logos bare a bronze motive which continues inside. Bronze stitching on the Alacantra upholstery and bronze embossing. Otherwise, almost everything else is carbon fiber – black, gray, you name it. If you stare at its patterns long enough your eyes will start to bleed. That being said, we will most definitely not decline an overnight stay inside because at the end of the day – it’s an Aston Martin… with a James Bond feel on it. What more does one need?!

  • Aston Martin Ultimate DBS

Aston-Martin-DBS-Ultimate-thumbKeep your eyes peeled as a new Aston Martin might be coming out. Well, we say new, but it actually a special edition of the DBS – the ultimate Aston get’s an “Ultimate” trim. Not much has been disclosed so far so we’ll have to play the guessing game.

There will two versions of it – Coupe and Volante (open top). The exterior shades will range from Silver Fox to Quantum Silver and Carbon Black II. The wheels will be strictly Black Diamond only contrasted by the yellow brake calipers (one would be able to have them also in red or black). The wing mirror caps and lamp in-falls will be garnished with carbon fiber and the rear lights will be smoked. A unique “DBS Ultimate” will finish off the exterior look.

As for the inside, we can clearly see those Obsidian Black, diamond patterned seats with contrasting red stitching – delicious. The inside of the door bares the same design while the headlining is made from Alcantra. On the headrests, we find yet again, a unique DBS Ultimate badge with red in-fill. The flappy paddles behind the well also get a leather treatment in red.

If this really is going to be the “ultimate” Aston Martin DBS then it better develop, at the very least 510 hp and 570 Nm. This is the absolute minimum. Pretty certain that they won’t change the plant – 5.9-liter V12 but squeezing out more juice from it does not sound that impossible.
